One of the biggest problems is the ban on washing machines in apartments, when even in the third world countries everyone has a personal washing machine in their apartment since the 60s of the last century. it's terribly disgusting and unsanitary to wash your clothes together with hundreds or thousands of other residents of the building in one washer or in a city laundry.

so many truths here, the doctor part is the worst, i moved to Nova Scotia 2 years ago and I am on a waiting list and there are so few doctors the average wait time is apparently 10 years, that is disgusting.

I've been to Canada a couple of times to Hamilton (outside of Toronto) because my mom's childhood friend from Manchester, UK lives there and I went to the states for a few weeks to Florida, DC and NYC on a massive trip.\n\nWhat struck me is how fit Canadian women are compared to US women. Also, how genuinely friendly and humble Canadians were compared to the brash know it all attitude of Americans. I was really looking forward to America cause I was raised on its culture here in the UK. I know I've not given it a proper chance but I'm not that tempted to go back.\nI travelled a lot with my family growing up but only in the US have we ever felt like we could be in danger. Not great.\nAnd that racial segregation is pants. It's disgusting, really.

I've been to all the major cities and even I wonder how people survive on low paying jobs, what some people pay for a Studio in a major city could afford a house elsewhere. It also seems the bigger the city, the more segregated it is, I mean you have a Chinatown in almost every metropolis I've been to. NYC Public Transportation was disgusting...Tokyo was immaculate. One day, the univ admin where I was working, called prince sattam univ, decided to suspend the annual increment for non-Saudis because the univ was going thru economic hardships. Saudi employees' salaries weren't affected by the economic hardship, but the foreigners did not have rights, so only they had to foot the tab! Sure enough, I resigned. Many other foreigners chose to stay, unfortunately. Maybe they had to; they had families and financial liabilities probably.
