Canada is an imaginary country. Its international image is deliberately fabricated and very misleading. In fact, it is a trap. Even rooted Canadians dream leaving Canada for USA, Europe, and they leave with first opportunity. Immigrants from developing countries leave for other countries or get back to homeland as soon as they get their Canadian passports. Many immigrants can't even wait that long and leave before citizenship status. Canada is an illusion. Beware!

Canada supposed to be a 1st world country yeah they got the resources . But still canadians are living under the poverty level ; and homeless is a issue in canada .thats why people are going to europe and the united states for better wages ,And better quality of life .

I wouldn’t say American politics is anymore polarizing than any other country. It seems that way because USA has the largest economy in the world and people listen to news about the drama in the USA all the time. And you forgot to talk about that the USA is better for more ambitious people. USA rewords hard work better than Canada and most countries in Europe.

Stay in Europe. Canada won't survive 20 more years as a unified nation.

I spent 2 years (1991/92) in Calgary and I fully understand the feeling. Canada simply has not enough quality job. For better job satisfaction and higher pay, you need to head south to get it. Canada is for someone who is looking for a peaceful life and have more private time but not a very social life style. The medical system needs some improvement though. Compared with the time (70s last century) I spent in England, I would say England is much better because Europe is so close and you could enjoy the diverse culture and food. Anyway, everybody has his/her own choice and that is good.

I came to study to Canada in the 90s, lived and worked here for 8 years, left Canada and always wanted to come back. My dream came true more than 20 years later, I got a very good job in Montreal in 2020, but to find out that the health care system is extremely deteriorated. I decided am going back home soon. My goal is to be back in Europe by 2024. I may have a lower salary, but I will be able to see a doctor when I need it. Thank you for making this video. I was born and raised in canada and 8 years ago we just gave up. My family decided that enough was enough and left our beloved country. \nI miss a lot of things. You're not correct about the Quebec government banning the hijab - actually they ban all forms of religious expression in clothes worn at work by public servants - so don't criticize us unless you get the facts straight. All countries are facing public health crisis especially in the aftermath of a global pandemic, you mention how long it could take to get an MRI - weeks/months, but it's no worse than in the UK, or other western countries. I do agree with you about limited competition in banking and tech - but we're still a young and growing country, however, look at the global recession that took place in 2007 - Canada was least affected by mortgage default, the US was hit the worst and hundreds of thousands had their homes foreclosed by the Banks, yet in Canada because of our strict banking policies we were saved and the Banks worked with defaulters to try to keep their homes. Taxes, well most countries require you to file your own taxes at the end of the year - what's so strange about that? Yes sales tax is added onto the sales price depending on what province and what you are purchasing, same as US, just because it's not the same in Europe doesn't mean it's worse! Listen, when you're a newcomer to any country you need to fit in when looking for a job, put in the effort, take the time, do the work, any country is going to expect you to be able to speak the language and know the lingo, so I don't agree with your analysis that Canadians are risk adverse! You are 100% correct about the housing crisis, listen it's been going on everywhere for decades, and international investors in the past 10 years or so woke up and noticed that Canada was a great bet for investment, so the problem got really bad. The government just passed a 2 year moratorium on non Canadians buying real estate - as have many other countries, so fingers crossed no more new foreign landlords just regular Canadians buying their first homes, let's hope so!! I've lived many years in Europe - and I loved it! But the quality of life in Canada is better. If you don't live in the crowded city you can have a nice property with lots of space, good roads, not bad school system, very friendly and helpful people. Quebec has some of the best food on the North American continent, we have clean air and lots of water in Canada - I'm very happy here, so don't be so negative please!

The job market is sealed shut and glass door awaits. My Canadian, academic job experience was good enough for the UK and Switzerland/Liechtenstein. Funny fact, recently I got invitation to apply for a job in Canada as suddenly I am good enough. Of course no one ever invited me to the network so networking is not. Even funnier I was interviewed for a job but when I saw rent for 1 bedroom in Toronto I withdrawn my application.\n\n I was told old building in Switzerland are bad. Maybe. But after living in a carton wall studio in Toronto, now rent is above 2,000 CAN, I have very low expectations. Remember my shock when I saw quality of a buildings.

If Nigerians don't like the cold weather in Canada, then why don't these Nigerian Canadians go to the U.S or Western Europe where it's warmer ? They could move to Canada and then move again to the U.S. Immigrate and then re-immigrate.

People need to know that there are much cheaper public universities in Europe, some even free such as Germany and Norway where you would only need money to prove you can take care of yourself. Canada is crazy for letting this exploitation continue.

Here's a quick tip to the international students, don't come to canada or U.S or europe if you can't stay away from your family. Fix your country, and protest there.

I do not understand only one thing and thats the Indian people obsession with Canada and USA, I mean going there and letting your parents pay huge amounts of money and selling their lands and breaking their back for your school fees to enter some low level college or university and in the end not even sure if you will succeed. Instead you can go to Europe ( a lot of countries to choose from ) much cheaper or even free in some countries, all you have to do is learn the language (for it to be free) you can have a good life, cheaper and safer than US or Canada and after you graduate you can get a good job with good pay, even get permanent residence or citizenship.But still 99 percent of Indians wanna move to US OR Canada,UK aswell and in some cases Australia.

Chicago has globally famous architecture, Vancouver does not - Chicago is famed as an incredible city of architecture all throughout Europe. It's certainly not an ugly city in the way Vancouver is. And it's very typical for a Canadian to have an anti-American inferiority complex that takes for granted the advantages the US has over Canada, one of those being a more robust history, a much more powerful and influential culture, and better urban character and architecture. the US has tons of globally famous cities, Chicago being one of them, and the city is certainly pretty. Canada doesn't have any global cities. You sound kind of Europhilic and incredibly ignorant.

I live in Germany and sometimes, I think about moving to Canada simply because German language is difficult to learn but with what you guys said about Canada, I think it would be better to just learn the language and remain in this beautiful country in the middle of Europe.

I think most of this is a lack of purpose and a lack of managing finances because Canada is amongst the highest rated countries in the world to live in pole after Pole has shown this most of the stuff that she's talking about can be taken care of by focusing on getting yourself happy instead of letting your surroundings make you happy there's lots of expensive countries in the world especially now in Europe with natural gas for heating going through the roof because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine personally I love Canada forgot to mention in Canada like low crime rate compared to Nigeria and Ghana where I have a friend who's been robbed four times by bandits and kidnapping is not part of the GDP of the country plus a relatively low population compared to Nigeria I was reading some of the comments of some of the people who were saying that it's expensive well I've been to some other countries and it's even more there I really believe it's what you make it where you but happiness starts from within you and it is what you make it.

Now I live in Russia, Saint-Petersburg. And all minuses you're mentioned are really pluses for me and my family:). Weather with severe winter within beautiful nature and no fences (huge amount all around Russia, GULAG is in heads and souls), calm night life, habitual free of charge medicine and bureaucracy, high taxes BUT with extremely low level of corruption, because here your taxes just go up in smoke. Prices for food and energy are similar to Scandinavia or Western Europe. So. Thank you. I've got additional strong enthusiasm to move to Canada.

Today you’re healthy and working and hate paying taxes, tomorrow you’re sick and unemployed and you get those taxes back.
