Galvin I ran the numbers the other night and it was scary when I ran past 2024 to 2034 ten years in the future.\nEXAMPLE : In 1982 I was living in Midland and working 40 hours at a grouphome for $ 1015.00 take home a month.\nMy girlfriend and I had a 1976 Lada car for 100.00 bucks a month and rent was $ 325.00 a month and food $ 75.00 a month but the phone was $ 180.00 a month to call home in Sudbury.\nNow take that $ 1015.00 to 2024 with inflation calculated at the bank of Canada = $ $ 3,070.00 a month that you need to be dirt por.\nBy 2034 you will need with projected inflation $ 4,500.00 to live a basic poor life of nothing.\nVerdict : The light ahead is an oncoming train that will do 50 - 70 % of the people in.\nKeep reporting this perfect storm because you can't fix ANY PROBLEM till you know what it is.\nWe have 9 categories of homeless to help but you can't put theaddict in with an old senior that lost a spouse to cancer and then lost the apartment or home.

Ya consider the source here cbc is news but its news from the perspective of the government in charge. Its worth checking out the Vancouver south asian gang detachment. they report that the student program in canada is used a lot by gangs and people up to no good. I figure the cops would know and we know JT and Jagmeet do not like them

1 Homelessness: There is a significant homeless population in Canada, and the government spends billions on social services to address this issue, including providing support for drug addicts.\n\n2 Silent Racism: Despite Canada's multicultural image, there are reports of silent and systemic racism, with statistics indicating disparities in income and higher hate crime rates against certain ethnic groups.\n\n3 Healthcare Challenges: Access to healthcare can be challenging due to a shortage of doctors, long waiting times, and limited resources. Medical professionals may be overworked, and there are difficulties in finding experienced family doctors.\n\n4 Technology Gap: Canada's slow adoption of technology, especially in critical sectors like healthcare, finance, and telecom, contributes to a technology gap compared to other developed countries.\n\n5 High Taxes: The tax system in Canada is complex, with prices listed before tax, leading to potential surprises for newcomers. High-income earners may face significant taxation, and individuals are responsible for filing their tax reports annually.\n\n6 Job Market Challenges: Canadian employers often prefer candidates with Canadian work experience, and some professions require licensing. The hiring process can be risk-averse and lengthy.\n\n7 Housing Crisis: Canada faces a housing crisis with a shortage of homes, leading to high prices. The quality of housing may not meet expectations, and foreign ownership, particularly by immigrants, plays a role in the market.\n\n8 Quality of Life: Some aspects of daily life in Canada, such as thin apartment walls, poor sound isolation, and high living costs, may differ from expectations.

top notch stuff. the reporting and editing are both outstanding. subbed halfway through when i noticed how small the channel is. never would have guessed considering the talent being displayed. keep in mind that all of this is being compounded with the carbon taxes. those taxes are making every single aspect of every supply chain in the country more expensive, so by the time a product hits the shelf it's been taxed God knows how many times by the carbon tax.

This is one of the most honest reports of homelessness in Toronto! This is also the fault and failure of the lib/ndp government’s corruption with tax dollars and securities!! SHAMEFUL!!

This is a brilliant response. The reporter's question assumed that Palestine is NOT the land of Palestinians. To this, the Saudi FM responded that Palestine IS the land of Palestinians, and in addition, that Palestinians do not have to be forced out of their land.

Excellent reporting ? ?. It's time for Canadians to push back on these policies. Contact your local MP, and comment on every post you see regarding immigration and voice your opinion.

But CNN has been denying this has been happening for 3 yrs now. Lying to their brainwashed but dwindling audience. Why are you seeing this? Because you have finally started actually reporting, atleast in this report. Instead of smearing it as a far right conspericy and any one who says it as a Putin puppet. Right ?

The reporter should be asking the Western governments to take in Palestinian refugees. It's their govs actions that's creating this humanitarian crisis. Why should the Arab world clean up after the mess the West created?

Really BBC? I didn’t expect such a bias and poorly reported piece from you guys. What editor for the reputable BBC would even sign off on such a direction? \n\nYES it’s normal to see a drop in citizen application when the government made it much more difficult for permanent residents to do so. There was an intent there to naturally filter out what had become a burden on government funds and resources. I’m sorry but if you are living in Canada’s largest city [Toronto], don’t be shocked that cost of living is ridiculously expensive. The same will apply to every other western nations largest city. And yes Canada’s second largest city [Montreal] is ridiculously cheap, but good luck trying to get in when you not only need the Canadian federal governments approval for citizenship but the Quebec provincial governments as well where fluency in the French language is now a requirement. \n\nAt the end of the day, your education abroad provided you with tools and resources that helped implement your vision. It allowed you recognize the changing dynamic of the global economy, the bygone era of easy opportunity and progress in the western world and the significant leaps and growth that your own “developing” nation has made, allowing you to easily break into your own market with much success than struggle surrounded by red tape, by laws, bureaucracy, expenses and competition while balancing yourself in a culture with societal norms and customs that are unfamiliar and new to you.

The states have way more hockey teams than Canada and yes no key is probably the most loved sport but we love our baseball, football, curling, skiing soccer and according to some reports lacrosse ist the most popular (this is far from accurate, it must have been a lacrosse loved staying that).

These hypocrite reporters ask questions on behalf of Israelis and their supporters. \nThey want to empty the Palestinian land from its citizens and take it as what they have been doing for the last 75 years of occupation

THANK YOU! Israel wants them to leave so they can take more land. There's a sale of Palestinians property developments ongoing in Toronto, Canada. Property that's been designed on Palestine that's being bombarded at the moment. I personally am concerned about the question and tone of the seemingly carimg tone of the reporter asking why other nations refuse to take in people who are being expelled and exterminated by their invaders.

If u compare the EI last year and this year, u will see significant increase. The number of jobs in public sector sharply increased since 2020, while the productivity declined since 2020. Number of reported bankruptcies escalated sharply after mid 2023 till now. Also consider the extra taxes since 2020. The shift in oil purchase etc..

Mainstream media news in Canada this is how you report the news in Canada by contradicting everything that the Liberal politicians in Canada say about Canada. Take a lesson from Harrison on how to report accurate and truthful information to the Canadian public. A Canadian family I have been following on YouTube left Canada with all their 8 children to escape Justin Trudeau's tyranny in Canada, and so they move to Russia ?? This Canadian family wanted their children to be educated in the Canadian public school system but unfortunately for them the Trudeau Liberal government wanted the children be indoctrinated into the LGBT lifestyle in Canada by forcing pornographic books to the students and other materials. Teaching children about the drag queen lifestyle in Canada and so on. When you have to move your whole family thousands of miles away in another to get away from all this craziness in Canada. And Russia ?? is not like the West media paints out the Russians to be. And this Canadian family gets to hold on to their Christian ✝️ beliefs and values. Can we do that in Canada without getting criticized for it ? NO ! Because the Trudeau Liberal government is anti-Christianity bigots. Freedom exists in Russia it does not in Canada, and the New Bill C-63 is proof that. Russia doesn't have that Bill C-63 over there forced on the Russian citizens. Not even Stephen Harper would have done something like that. Only a dictator tyrant like Justin Trudeau would do something like that.

Harrison, you've laid it all out here in plain English. Even the immigrants are mumbling and stumbling over each other these days. Many younger (under 50) Canadians among us have been indoctrinated by our education system with it's left leaning doctrine, to believe this massive influx of immigrants is good and as it should be in Canada. Naturally they have no model to compare with other than stories from their elders as to how things used to be. So they have blindly accepted the status quo without question. \nOf course, many(most)politicians, teachers, professors, reporters etc. being members of this same under 50 age group have reinforced this lie. As you've clearly pointed out, at the end of the day are those that profit from such a policy, like employers large and small, landlords and of course politicians who reap the favors of those in the winners circle. And the losers, all those in the under 50 age groups who scratch their head and wonder why they have no job, no medical care, no house and no future. Good post!

These people should be immediately turned back to where they came from. They should be made to apply for entry and wait to be vetted and approved. I have actually seen news report of Canadian police officers physically assisting illegal migrants with their luggage and kids. Ridiculous.

12 year wait for a doctor, three months for a blood test cannot walk into a clinic since covid, have to book online, but can't book online without a doctor, check every day for an appt space- none avail. Literally NO access to medical care and in the ER after seven hours wait they misdiagnose you and fail. Surgery wait is years, and they wont give you a day or time for an appointment, they say they will call you months later to book a time and then never do. There is no longer health care in Canada. Then there is the cost of housing. Then there is Trudeau making news reporting and websites he doesnt like illegal and pushing through laws to let the govt jail you for speech they dont like using anonymous accusers.

How an airlines worker allegedly exploited Canada’s immigration laws to admit people from India\nThe 24-year-old former British Airways worker is estimated to have made over $5.1 million from the fraud scheme\n\nAuthor of the article:Jamie Casemore\nPublished Feb 28, 2024\n\nA former British Airways employee has allegedly fled to India after being arrested for allegedly helping Indian citizens get around immigration laws so they could claim asylum in Canada.\n\nAs initially reported in The Times of London on Tuesday, the employee who worked at Heathrow airport in London, U.K., is said to have enabled people without proper documentation to get on flights to Canada so that they could claim asylum upon entering the country. He allegedly charged £25,000 per person or about $43,000. The alleged scam is estimated to have made 3 million pounds or over $5.1 million.\n\nAfter taking the money from the Canada-bound asylum seekers, the 24-year-old former employee allegedly told them to fly from India to the U.K. on a temporary visa.\n\n\n\nA former British Airways employee has allegedly fled to India after being arrested for allegedly helping Indian citizens get around immigration laws so they could claim asylum in Canada.\n\nAs initially reported in The Times of London on Tuesday, the employee who worked at Heathrow airport in London, U.K., is said to have enabled people without proper documentation to get on flights to Canada so that they could claim asylum upon entering the country. The alleged scam is estimated to have made 3 million pounds or over $5.1 million. \n\nAccording to the Times of London, Canadian immigration officials raised concerns after noticing an influx of people flying to Toronto or Vancouver without proper documentation, and claiming asylum.\n\nNormally, airline employees would check if passengers are eligible to fly to their destination, but, using his position at British Airways, the 24-year-old was allegedly able to falsely claim that his victims had the proper documentation for travel to Canada. The former employee’s process was allegedly to make sure that the prospective immigrants came to his check-in desk at the airport. Later, he would allegedly meet them again during the boarding process and falsely report they had the correct documents a second time.\n\nThe former British Airways employee was arrested on Jan. 6, but after making bail, he and his partner, who also worked for British Airways, fled to India, where he reportedly owns multiple properties and is still on the run from U.K. and Indian authorities. If he is captured, India and the U.K. have an extradition treaty.\n\n\n\n\nA former British Airways employee has allegedly fled to India after being arrested for allegedly helping Indian citizens get around immigration laws so they could claim asylum in Canada.\n\nAs initially reported in The Times of London on Tuesday, the employee who worked at Heathrow airport in London, U.K., is said to have enabled people without proper documentation to get on flights to Canada so that they could claim asylum upon entering the country. Expensive! Crime! Homelessness! Traffic! The same can be said of any major city in the world. Especially if you base your findings on local news reports. Going out on a limb, but the good things about this city, far outweigh the bad. My wife and I are seniors living on our CPP & SS. We live in as ethnically diverse neighbourhood with wonderful neighbours, close to everything. .
