As I speak soooooo many people who entered Canada as visitors hoping to change to work permit are stranded . Not even their lawyers can help bse it has been closed. So it’s terminated completely bro stop stop stop ! stop misleading people when we have soo many Africans stranded waiting for deportation.

As an international student myself here in Canada, I feel embarrassed and the protest is pointless.

When so many immigrants enter a country that its infrastructure can not handle the increased population, people start to be anti-immigration. People who are not the majority race and culture, are easy targets for people who are frightened by the rise of homelessness and crime, and loss of employment. In Canada, even in small rural towns, long established residents see that their children can not find work, or housing, while obvious immigrants are everywhere as waitresses, cashiers, and other unskilled jobs which their children used to do when starting out. On top of that, many Canadians can not find a family doctor, and our healthcare system is strained to the breaking point. People are frightened, and want the government to tighten immigration policies. I think that our government did not consider all the factors when it opened the door so wide for immigration. Now it has to take a step back, and ensure that the infrastructure is in place before immigrants arrive in Canada, not be forever trying to fix the problems after they have caused havoc!

Well thats's expected, Canada has nothing much to be offer except the permanent residence. Quality of our tech education even at top institutions is not top notch. I am in software/machine learning (fancied AI), born Canadian who did bachelor's and master's from University of Waterloo and moved to US for my PhD in 2014. Sorry to break this but even top universities in Canada come nowhere even close to top 20 in US when it comes to American universities. I completed my masters in 2011 and was doin some junk work in Canada as tech industry is light years behind US where all innovations happen. I was literally shocked to see the difference in education and quality of work after coming to US. Canada only wants blue collar workers, realtors and truck drivers.

Canada is not for people who are dependent on maids and helper for day to day work. We have moved to Canada in 2010 and very happily established here. In 2-3 months you can judge Canadian life. It’s a beautiful country with very high potential for ambitious people, who are willing go through the initial learning curve humbly. I have numerous life changing stories of people including myself who are living dream life because we have chosen to be comfortable being uncomfortable. Healthcare is free and way better than India. I have delivered two babies here and have received luxurious treatment with zero bill. Very satisfied to see my children growing to be polite and good human beings. It’s everyone’s individual choice.

Once the Indian students are inside Canada, there is no way to get them out. After several decades, the number of Indians will be several times more because of their high birth rate.

My only goal is to leave Canada as a Canadian born citizen. The Indians have taken over. Yall got it lol. Enjoy the country.

But how can you really convert a visitor visa into a work permit with out a job offer though you're outside canada? That is not madness and this all about i r c c but not visa officers only.

It is the oddest and dumbest thing to protest in a country you're not even a citizen of. If you are this unhappy that you are protesting, you are supposed to pack your bags and leave. Protesting should be reserved to people born and raised in that country and would like to see effective change. There is no benefit for non citizens to stay in Canada for Canadians.

Last week I called a cab to go for my appointments in town and a private car shows up in my drive way with an East Indian driver newly arruved from India? when I ask him what he need he said he is a Cab I called, I said no you are not this is a private car he said he just applied for license and Cab's Name, I told him then you cannot work and pick up costumer yet and this is Canada you need to follow our laws then he left after? but I take a picture his Car and license plate and call a Cop after.

The house next door to me is a small 1960 2 bedroom 1 bathroom . There is at least 20 punjabs living there. The place stinks garbage everywhere. Cars are coming and going. in canada my rent has doubled in last 5 years. Food price has gone up 4x, gas price at all time highs, but min wage, or pay from jobs has not gone up at all. 5 years ago I was able to barely make a little bit of savings, but now, I spend all money on bills, and have nothing left over to save. I never eat out, go out, do any activities, I work and sleep and play video games, and no matter what I do, I just cannot save anything.\n\nI got really hard jobs like running gravel in a wheel barrel, and moving, and I get the same pay at these jobs as I did like 20 years ago.W ages ARE NOT going up at all but all bills are.
