Other countries allow NON profit competing insurance providers to “simulate” free markets and provide healthy competition. Allows more choice and keeps administrative bloat at a minimum. \n\nPrivate sector: allow a fully functioning for profit private sector (for those that want a non-govt choice)Again, allows a 2nd employer, more choice and healthy competition. \n\nI cannot wait for the Supreme Court of Canada to hear the Cambie case and break up the Monopoly. Because essentially, the Govt owns their citizens bodies!\n\nFrasier Institute just released a 2022 study: family of 4, making 150k will pay $16,000/year or 12,000 usd for healthcare. The analysis about Healthcare is correct about demand being more than supply. But what is not really understood is that the Canadian rules make it that way, not lack of medical professionals. In other countries with national health care like UK, you can legally pay for extra care. In Canada, doctors are fined if they try to provide extra care or even want to work extra medical jobs. So you have to ration medical care and care is fixed, cannot grow or increase except by whatever the govt plans. Any additional care can only be obtained outside of Canada or else illegally/on the black market if in Canada.

I did not listen to the entire video but sharing my story.\n\nI came to Toronto Canada it's been 22 years and I will leave here and die here despite its expensive to live but people stay where they belong, where their soul is at peace and where there is their happiness.\n\nI moved here with my abusive husband at that time. Back home as divorce was taboo, I would have remained married n suffer. He moved on and left me and my child of 5 years old on the street but thanks to Canada, no one judged me, no one talked about me.
