Living in Canada 38 years. At this time if I was like others seeking a better life Canada would be the last place I would want to go. Welcome to suffering and can’t afford a place to live. ???

Fun fact: the last time the US had a real immigration reform in Congress was 1990. Over 30 years ago. So next time you ask why are there people coming here illegally, please ask yourself why the US government isn’t making it easier for people to immigrate here for a better life from countries that are war torn from direct US intervention.

Besides distinguishing between legal amd illegal immigration, it would be good to know the numbers behind the types of undocumented immigrants. Many of these 11 million plus people actually belong here in the US, such as the Haitians and the Deeamers (which y'all neglected to mention). But if your asylum claim has been rejected or if you've overstayed your visa (which accounts for many), then deportation is fair. But we need a grand compromise. A path to citizenship for Dreamers and people who are under special arrangements (again, like the Haitians), deportations for most others, with a new visa regime for people who have been working in parts of the economy that - to be blunt - Americans won't.\n\nAlso, most of the people here without proper documents are Mexican. And most came through Mexico. AMLO let that happen. Sheinbaum is going to need to address that. Many Mexicans are also greatly unhappy with what's been going on for the last few years.

To all those supporting the cracking down on these ‘illegals’ there’s something I need to know. Tell me, if they folks had an option to immigrate legally, would they? Do you think it’s some kind of malicious effort to come here against the law, or are they coming here out of desperation? Many of these people come from places like Haiti, Colombia, or Guatemala. Places that the CIA and American tax dollars destroyed. Illegal immigration wouldn’t be a problem if we didn’t make the situations of many of our southern neighbors unlivable.\n\nI’m a Floridian white dude who was comparatively born with the silver spoon in my mouth, I understand America is at a point economically where the last thing we need is to be spending money on non citizens, sending billions in foreign aid abroad or on undocumented immigrants. But I also think we need to take some level of accountability for why this is even an issue. I was born in Quebec, moved to BC and then too Ontario. You should ask why so many of us left Quebec (the last place I would want to live ) why I left BC (most woke province ) and settled in Ontario. I love Atlantic Canada but only as a place to visit. I would move to Alberta for it's politics but not it's weather.

My family immigrated here in the 70s. We embraced Canada, my parents worked hard, there were no hand outs then. Kept our traditions at home, however when a Canadian was invited over everyone spoke English as well in public spaces. We were very proud to become Canadian citizens five years later. My brothers and I all served in the military. There is a bit of relief that my father passed away so as not to see what Canada has become in the last 9 years. I have little tolerance for cultures that are only here to take with no interest in assimilating.

You have to understand what western civilization is first. \nThe west is made of many different cultures who over the centuries of fighting one another have integrated with the end goal of peaceful coexistence with each other . To do so they disposed of their own individual, troublesome traditions and adopted ones from others. In comparison the mass and rapid influxes of non-westerners over only the last 60 years is causing the real problem of parallel societies with no incentive for new comers to adapt. The blame clearly is on the governments policy’s to over look such a fundamental human condition. \nThe average QI in India is 75 while Canadians are 100 IQ ,so they probably could use a lesson here on how to get along in a culture that will voluntarily adapt to them as proven by history but they also need voluntary do so too

As an immigrant, I can see the reason for this. In the last year few years, things have gone for worse. Areas of GTA and BC have become ghettos. Being a minority, I still believe this multiculturalism has gone very far and should be contained before it destroys this one time great country.

They keep talking about losing a huge part of the workforce with mass deportations. So Americans aren’t looking for work? I’ve worked for Amazon for 3 and a half years now. I transferred from Va back home to ny last October. In va Americans are being hired. In ny Amazon is literally hiring nothing but Haitians. We hire a hundred and twenty people every year between July and January for prime and peek. I promise you without any iota of exaggeration, every last new hire is Haitian. I know of plenty of ppl who have applied to no avail. They really need to say if you’re American don’t apply. They get tax credits for hiring them. And because of this they do little to no work because they know nothing will happen to them. So all of the work falls on us . Out of the 120 new hires this year and last year 115 are under 27. They try to alienate us , intimidate us,and are extremely rude to anyone who isn’t Haitian. These are young people who are on straight gang time. I’m a black man telling you this and I’m from the street. It took me 6 years to finally make 20 dollars an hr, they come right over making the same as me while I’m working harder to accommodate their lack of productivity and at the same time hope I don’t lose my job for standing up to their rudeness and intimidation tactics. But the media will have ppl convinced that these are hard working meek and humble ppl just trying to make a better life for them and their families. I’m 45 years old and every year of my life we have always had a block party every summers end . For the last three years none. Because my neighborhood has been inundated with migrants who don’t care to assimilate.

Why not ask Trump to spend a couple days to work on these farms that requires manual work like picking vegetables, I bet that he wouldn't last an hour, and the majority of the American people don't want to do that back breaking work for little pay, so if he reports all these illegal immigrants whats going to happen? Proud dual citizen Canadian here. Love the country, people and culture. A different angle : Because of mass Ive , huge , flood econimic migrants , forests will be first to go, soil , fish ,( fresh water ) , land fills extended with new ones on horizion, open spaces gone, water spoilage and shortages EXAMPLE California has sunk 2ft. I came here last 2019 legally and it is not an easy journey(the money through out the multiple process 1,2,3,4 and so on,the lawyer fee and time plus the stress both me and my husband and in God's time sooner the final application for naturalization.So for the democrats to just let the illegals come that easy and got free food,shelter and etc is so wrong.
