I watched this video with the genuine intent to learn about systemic racism in Canada. Other than the example of people of colour not having marijuana sentences reduced, I do not feel we are offered any concrete examples. We are only given examples of (terrible) historical injustices, as well as talking heads claiming systemic racism exists without offering any examples we can actually learn about to move forward.

Originally this comment was like the size of a book talking about just some of the specific examples of Police and civilian racism I witnessed with my own Caucasian eyes in this country. I am extremely patriotic and I love being Canadian but I have been saying for years that we have problems when it comes to racism but no one here wants to even acknowledge it. Of course we're not as bad as our neighbors but at least they talk about it and seem to want to come to terms with their bigotry and institutionalized racism in society. As long as we keep pretending we don't TO THIS DAY have an ongoing history with systemic racism in politics, policing and even in the workplace than we will never in real life be the actual Canada we try to tell the world and ourselves we really are and that makes me deeply sad and ashamed.

Focus on the historical racism of Canada while they can't produce one tangible example of current systemic racism but just moan and groan about it. One of the weakest arguments for systemic racism yet. Great job Clown Broadcasting Corp.

Shame on canada and then it criticises Saudia Arabia and China. You have to lead by example. Double standards like America. Birds of the same feather flock together.

Honestly, what did he think. It is not easy when you have no education to come and get accepted. Plus her chose Alberta when there was way better choices. For example, Montreal and Toronto are better to immigrants. There is reason why is difficult also. If Canada was to accept everybody,it may not be as safe as it is now. Canada does not welcome everyone. It wants people that can be useful to society because ppl pay a lot of taxes for services and paying for someone that can’t be helpful can be frustrating for tax payers

Racism in Canada? Wow...what a profound question. I wonder if we have examples of it?

I think in like these schools or job positions it should be about the skills of the person not the race or gender. If for example 2 people apply to a job and one is black and one is white and the white one gets picked because of his skin color then that shouldn't be acceptable. But let's say that the white guy had better skills in that exact position than the black man then i think the white guy should be picked. It's about the skill not gender race etc.

Subconscious minds? What are you saying exactly by saying that? You are funneling an idea, a theory. Canada is a very new country that comes from an era that you can't compare to no other example. Furthermore we are a cultural mosaic compared to a melting pot. Your summing up an idea really has no majority conclusion. People in Canada aren't compartmentlized so easily into the profile you are trying to invoke. Stop trying to make it that. Your funneling a thought theory.

Hi Igor, \nI hope you're doing well. I'm a great fan of yours.\nI have a few inquiries regarding AIPP.\n \n1. Is there any advantage if anyone applying to AIPP and Express Entry together? \n\n2. If anyone accepted for AIPP, is it mandatory for that person to stay in the Atlantic province for the rest of the life? \n\n3. Are employers really really interested to recruit foreign skilled worker for the sake of real shortage of skills in the Atlantic zones? \n\n4. It's said that it will take 6 months to get a PR through AIPP. And after that, I can only roam Canada but not work anywhere else till my employer endorse NOC for me. Well, I'm okay with it. But in the long term, for example, after getting Canadian citizenship(staying 1095 days from 1825 days), can I move to any other preferred place/s and work anywhere I want based on my relevant skill set? \n\nThanks in advance

Canada and sweeden has been always an slacker paradise. Leftist always use those country's as examples, places where you don't have to work and the government take care of you ,just like a child .

At least two more differences between the US and Canada (I'm a Montrealer myself with American-born parents):\n\n1) When going to the different parts of Canada, they feel that much more different from each other (in the buildings, highway signs, etc.) than the different parts of the US. For example, British Columbia feels like a foreign country compared to not just Quebec (the most obviously different province in Canada) but also compared to Nova Scotia or Manitoba, whereas Washington state or Minnesota is less different than Pennsylvania or Massachusetts.\n\n2) Native Americans (or First Nations, as they're called in Canada) make up a way higher proportion of the Canadian than American population, though less so percentage-wise in Montreal or Toronto or even Quebec City, and they are thus much more in the consciousness of the average Canadian than the average American.

The first time i travelled across Canada on a road trip, heading west, going town to town along the TransCanada Hiway, i choose a black friend to accompany me. I choose him because he was really easy to get along with and i knew he was an auto mechanics enthusiast, which, as it turned out came in handy on the trip. We were on the road for a few months. I grew up in a city in a little multicultural bubble of liberalism and was taught as a child not to judge others based on skin colour or sex; to be respectful towards people of all ilks and ethnicities. The thing is, i was young enough to not really realize that i was in a bubble. As we travelled though parts of Saskatchewan and Alberta, where there are few to no blacks in many towns, i began to realize that Canada is quite racist in the outback and little towns mid country. I was surprised and actually angered by it. My friend took it in stride however. For example, i was meeting people, getting invited home for dinner and meet the wife and kids sort of thing, and my friend couldn't even get a conversation going with most people, they just totally ignored him and gave him a wide berth. I know underlying all of that is just the fear of an unknown quantity and the fact that a lot of Canadians watch American news sometimes which tends to be chock full of black in gang wars, shooting each other and committing violent crime so they get a false view of black culture because the news at that time rarely showed blacks unless they were committing a crime.

As a Canadian, I should mention that university here is cheaper because we don't have as many private post-secondary institutions. For example, we don't really have large schools similar in size to NYU, Liberty or Northwestern. I saw online that 20% of university students in the US go to a private institution, whereas in Canada it's not even close to 5%.

Has anyone given a thought how ISIS had their women dressed and if this is the example we want for muslim women in the West or Christian Countries? I would respect those who follow Islam if men were to cover up also but no only women? its not racism its just how the world works currently\nfor example using something other than race\ncar parks on side of the road. car opens door, unseen bike rider gets angry that the car opened the door in his riding path.\nsame bike rider gets to a red light with people crossing. runs the red light swerving through people but sees no problem with that though.\npeople just self centered. everyone chooses a side and only argues for that side. argues against the other side. can never do anything wrong in their own eyes but watches everyone else telling them they are wrong

Our prime minister doesn’t want to offend anyone, even if it’s bad for CANADA. His political correctness is destroying CANADA. Police that don’t follow the law, nice examples.

Canada is an exceptional example because it has such an effeminate government that will not take a stand against any issue and always supports the 'wrong' side.

Racism is defiantly a problem BUT offers are USUALLY based on credit scores. They didn’t provide more than one test that ‘determines bias’?!?!?!? These tests are garbage. PEOPLE OFFER HELP based physiology. Example... If someone looks like they are looking for something then they don’t know what they want. If you offer help and customers deny but hang elongated experiences of looking for something — one would look for ‘why’ is this person still looking heavily for something but yet denied help.

And why is Canadian government taking so much refugees from Africa and middle east if they know that many Canadian are racists towards blacks and Asians, racists people are just ignorance and they don’t want to accept their denial of the racists. Example I didn’t know that there’s different between humans and we are all humans but not kind of aliens from somewhere, as human being we should have just live together and treat people like we treated ourselves rather than hating others because of their skin color. Am African man and here in Africa we don’t have such things as black or white but we are all humans and we all believe that all humans are equal and it doesn’t matter whether you’re white or black..

Mam, people look at you differently, cos you are dressed differently. Apart from that, how they behave around you, depends on how your group sets as example. Group would mean your identity that is visible to people. In naqab, the first identity that is visible to people is Islam. While you can't control what other people around the world following Islam do. What you can do and encourage other Muslims around you to do is to set examples of kindness. Reaching out to people and helping people. Not just Muslims. And shun those people openly who speak radical Islam. Then you will notice, how people change the way they look at you.

they wait for the time when their population is increased to level where they can control the democracy then they convert it into a islamic country Lebnan is the real example

TO ALL THE PARENTS KINDLY LOVE YOUR KIDS, BE A GOOD EXAMPLE & TEACH THEM WELL. BECAUSE THEY'LL LOOK UNEDUCATED IF THEY BEHAVE LIKE THAT.. IT'S 2020. I'M NOT BLACK ETC. BUT THIS RACISM ISSUE IS SOOO OLD & IT'S SIMPLY REFLECTS HOW UNEDUCATED A COUNTRY IS.. DO YOU HAVE SCHOOLS FROM YOUR COUNTRY?

At around 18:20\nHe feels uncomfortable for receiving more friendly attention, and assumes the woman's reasoning.\nWhat if she wanted to sleep with you and not the others?\nHe admits being a very friendly guy, does he expect his friendliness to be met with insistence?\nHe'd complain either way, as he does in all the examples.\nToo much attention, too little, and just right are all wrong when compared to the other 2 guys ?

I mean they are not wrong. When you change a countries demographic it makes the core of it feel out of place out of home. This is normal and the response is normal. Its why china japan and russia and so many wont allow alot of muslims into their country because islam is not a religion but a ideology which comes with laws that will take over the homelands law 100% \nIf you think any different you're wrong as many examples in todays countrys.

While racism is real, there are certain people from some religious dicatorships in Canada spying on the free people of this country and making people uncomfortable too. there are those who want to push their beliefs on all Canadians and there has to be a balance in terms of acceptance and inclusiveness. I find many times people also play the race or discrimination card to push their beliefs and ways of life on others while I have heard them for example swear at and judge Canadians for example who don't cover up their hair or wear mini skirts......that is also discrimination and judgement and is also 100% wrong, even though they may be doing it quietly or in their own language. There is sometimes (besides obvious cases of racism of course) that there are 2 sides to the story! People that come to Canada also need to respect its values of respect for all, not just ask for it for themselves. While a lot of wonderful people come here and have the utmost respect for Canada that is NOT the case with those pushing their beliefs and particularly religious views on the rest of Canadians making them feel like outsiders I have heard many stories about.

Keeping in mind, if you cover your face you lose a bonus from donating men, who donate more to a pretty face, race and whatever else notwithstanding\nAlso people of a given religion can also be part of the problem even if only a small part, best recent example is Catholics donating to a church which has protected child abusers from the law.\nBlind recruitment can be good, but how does an employer handle a psych test of body language in such a circumstance?

I have been called Cracker and white boy numerous times in Canada for absolutely no reason. With white people only being about 12% of the world's population, maybe white people are saying these things because they're being oppressed by non-whites. White people get categorized as slave owners and racists no matter who they are by non-whites. Why should they act any different, people are led by example.
2019-12-30 0
they take advantage of freedom of religion to impose and thrust their will on others. the whole world should ban giving citizenship to muslim immigrants if their parent country doesn't give the same rights to others. for example Arabs shouldn't be given those rights in america which americans don't get in arab countries. it's called principle of reciprocity.

Islam is the PROBLEM !!! Playing the victim card allows the victim to act violently without guilt.\nBAN ISLAM---DESTROY ALL MOSQUES and DEPORT THEM ALL \n\nwe gave them help, work, money and friendship and they still won´t integrate in over 60 years. enough is enough !!!! ALL OUT to Dubai for example !!!!\nAnd don´t come with the victim card and racism bullshit as excuse for violent actions without guilt in the name of your islam.\nwe don´t tolerate your filthy lies, victim cards and violence any longer !!!!

I am a white woman. I've been followed and watched in department stores! So this program is not a good example.

I can give you plenty of examples of being racially profiled as a white man, like the time i walked into a Mexican market in L.A. and as i walked in overheard what the cashier charged a Mexican woman for a couple of items, so i grab the same exact items and bring them up to the counter just to be charged 3 times as much.  Go to any swap meet in So. Cal as a white man and see how you are treated amongst the Mexican vendors. And the further south you go the worst it is.  Maybe white people are not supposed to speak up? Or maybe the time a black guy said to the white boy door to door sales man that he was in the wrong neighborhood in Pasadena, Ca.Where do we put the attention? Or is it all about ratings again?

Nobody chooses subjugation, but they can be unwittingly manipulated into it. Take for example if you will the staggering number of women who get into, and stay in long term abusive relationships, there is a level of dependence that comes with it, and it seems like the women of Islam/Muslim faith are just as enthralled in it. Just like these women here, so many women who are regularly abused by the men they think they love, but will defend what they have as if to say they can't do any better, and their need for it is too great for them to see anything beyond what they're made to think, say, or do. I truly believe that people throughout the world that are fortunate enough to live in a free country better pay attention to who they let in, because if they keep allowing themselves to be taken over, one day soon they may find themselves outnumbered by a people who don't share in their values, and will take the freedoms they once took for granted.

Cleverly this videos talks about "how much" and not "how many" refugees get Social Assistance, then uses Vietnamese legal immigrants (the hardest working people in Canada) as an example of how quickly they become self-supporting. The truth about refugees aftermath is that, the large majority of refugees in Canada coming originally from third world countries, live on Social Assistance for several years, some for life, knowing that the Canadian government will provide for them anything they need (Ironically there are very few statistics on this matter and no statistics at all since 2015, when the current government was elected).

The Sikh's are entirely opposite of the Muslim population. Although many Muslims do work and contribute, it is still a high percentage that depends on welfare benefits. The Sikh's have a great work ethic and they will help you along in setting a great example of a good worker, in case you are lacking in that. Most Sikh's are very high earners, millionaires even, owing to HARD WORK. In my entire life, I never met a SINGLE lazy Sikh. They are very enterprising people.

Ask them only one question which is first priority for them between the constitution in which country they are living ------OR ---------------> Syria law.\nans I can assure you that 99% answer would be Syria law. and this is the simple example that how these extremists can destroy a healthy democratic process of a country. This is enough to understand the main agenda of an extremist.

The hatred between sunnis and shias, the persecution of muslim minorities in muslim majority countries like Pakistan and Saudi Arabia or muslim extremists murdering moderate muslims for being too moderate or apostates in their eyes. \n Are those examples Islamophobia too? Or can only be non muslims be islamophobic?\n\nIn case of the latter then that sounds pretty kuffarophobic to me.

We need to have a little bit of compassion for Muslims who are struggling with this. Imagine that you were born into Islam. You didn't ask for it. You just happened to be unlucky enough to be born into a Muslim country and raised under it. It's not their fault that they believe what they believe. \nWe need to help them to free them from the chains of Islam. The way to help them and free them from Islam is by educating them with the truth. It's difficult for them to accept because they have devoted their entire life to it. It's also quite a shock when they see all of the errors in the Quran which is supposed to be the pure word of an all-powerful and all-knowing God. Then they see things like- the sun revolves around the earth and sets in a pool of muddy water. It's like somebody telling you that your dear friend has been lying to you for the last 50 years of your life. You just can't believe it. You don't want to believe. You defend your friend, you love your friend. \n\nSo instead of insulting these poor Muslim people try helping them by suggesting that they read the Koran cover to cover from beginning to end. Then they will see for themselves that this 7th century book conflicts with modern scientific and historical knowledge. That's when they will realize that Muhammad invented the entire thing so that people would obey him and treat him like a god on Earth. That's when they will realize that he was a 7th century man who knew nothing about the scientific knowledge that we have now in this century. That's when they will realize that the Quran is filled with threats of punishment and violence for not believing and not obeying the supposed word of God given to them by Muhammad. Muhammad put harsh punishments in it so that they would submit out of fear. This is why Islam is so violent. \n\nTo our Muslim friends in humanity. I'm so sorry that you were lied to. So sorry that you wasted much of your life devoting it to Islam. I'm so grateful to those of you who have not followed the violence of Islam commanded in the Quran. But now you are free with the truth. Go and live your life in Peace and freedom. Love your fellow humans and help your fellow humans. Try to spread the truth to other Muslims and help them. Follow the example of apostate prophet who is trying to help Muslims with his you tube videos.\n I urge all Muslims to read the entire Quran. Don't let non-muslims like me know more about the Quran than you do. If you don't think that the scientific facts conflict with the Koran, then read the entire Quran and look up the scientific facts. If you really search for the truth you will find it.

? This Canadian guy made me laugh when he said 'wht abt sharia!?' i mean wht about it? Go study about it dumbshit no country is even following sharia law the version of sharia u see in Saudi Arabia is called wahabism and has nothing to do with sharia law if countries followed sharia law the world would be a better place for example western countries for example Canada is following sharia to some extent because they implement laws based on human rights and equality etc forbids today's banking system eg interests and loans based on interests even today's money is bogus and haraam if we were to follow Sharia Law and those are some of the things that sharia teach us

To answer him about sharia\nNo muslim immigrant said muslims want sharia law in canada, as muslims we are told to follow the rules of whatever country we are in excpet when the law tells us to not obey god, for exampl, forcing us to drink alcohol.\nSharia law is in islamic countrys, which myself i completely agree with, but in countrys that took us in as refugees we can not and will not and have not the authority to call for sharia law, and I doubt anyone is doing it, so this guy is clearely an idiot who thinks he knows something but he doesn t.

This is a good example of a western individual who are confused & fooled by Zionist media. Islam is a no terrorist religion . Or maybe is this Canadian a Zionist himself? Love & respect to our Sikh hero. Peace ??❣️

A classic example of hate and bigotry against Islam. Murdering millions of innocent people in Syria,Afghanistan,Iraq is not terrorism. Infact ISIS and Taliban are product of CIA. I wonder how these people manipulate facts to carry out their agenda of demonizing Islam.

It’s sad too see all this negatives comments y’all don’t know how hard it is for immigrants Unless you are one you can never relate the presidents thinks we are all rapist killers and bad people but that’s not the case yes there might be some bad people but I guarantee most of us are good people who come here too work really hard so our family’s and children can have a better life I don’t understand why we get so much hate all we come too do here is work hard and also we do jobs that no other people will do let’s put an example I don’t see any white American or black African American working in construction yes there might be some but most don’t like working outside in the heat because it’s hot and because it’s a hard job look at el Paso shootings you tell me who did that shooting ? It’s really sad too what this country has become too and the president is very wrong too and if your with the president you’ll should be ashamed of yourself.
