I live in Atlantic Canada and we normally have moderate Winters. We don't usually even have snow for Christmas. Winter normally starts in January. I have only had to shovel twice the last two Winters. Last Winter, it mostly rained because the temperature was usually too warm to snow. Still chilly, not many freezing days. When I was growing up in the 70s and 80s, we would wear a snowsuit for Halloween because it was so cold. Now, you are as likely to see kids wearing shorts. \n\nIt still would be cold for someone coming from a hot country, but someone from Iceland would probably find it mild.

I spent years learning German, traveled throughout Germany, took courses in Germany to get up to between the B1/2 level, have a college degree, look German, German heritage… and was consistently treated like I didn’t belong and shouldn’t stay. Real international student brings money and high quality people to Canada. However,there are some students coming to Canada aiming to work and to gain income back home. Why entrepreneurs and start up programs that can bring money to Canada takes years (over 3 years) to process and the number of applications is shrinking. Canada needs money to sustains the economy. Importing thousands and thousands of servants but not enough money to pay? Why don’t they look into the infrastructure and the system of the country when planning their immigration policies? The money behind these policies must be big.

I have friends that recently left Canada for Vietnam and South East Russia. \n2 retired couples moved to Vietnam and a family moved near Vladivostok.\nThey all seem much happier and dont want to come back.
