When she started with 'we need to take our country' back, I began to think she meant Mexican-Americans need to take back their country that was originally part of Mexico but was taken from them by the United States. eg Texas and other border states. Isn't that what the immigration north is all about? Taking back country? Of course the people who should really have the right to take back their country are the Indian Nations. They would be justified in deporting any families whose ancestors were illegal immigrants and did not get the equivalent of a green card from the original owners. You are missing an important point. In-demand occupations are no longer in demand. It was in 2022 & 2023. Welders & CNC operators are being laid off from corporate giants like Linamar. To make it worse, 50% of the students will have PSW & Skill trade certification.Right now, they ask 3-5 years of experience. I don’t think it will remain in demand by 2027.?

Ive been seeing a lot of Mexican Americans slamming the door behind them and im shocked. As a kid living in TX i saw nothing but unity in their community and love of family. Now as an adult to hear some of them talk saddens me. Its crazy. For this lady to think hed letbthem apply os crazy.

On the other hand, American community, which seems more aware & evolved, has a different view on indinn community. I have a cousin that having a job, a house but since she was single & in her 20s she was denied 3 times. Sad these ppl think they won't be touched.

What I do as an Indian born and raised in the US is tell these people the only people with any right to tell me to get off this land are the people who are native to this land. I left Montreal and never looked back. Sure, I miss my friends, but I think I’d reached a breaking point, both mentally and physically. I enjoy other Canadian cities, but something about Montreal left me feeling constantly sad and burned out. I’m not saying it was the city itself, but unfortunately, it just wasn’t right for me.
