I'm not even canadian and it's simple. Immigrants are guests first before they assimilate after many years. A few guest in your house is nice, but imagine having so many guests they displace you and take over your home. Who's going to like that?

I feel bad for those who were duped into coming here to Canada. They had big dreams of becoming successful here, instead not being able to do that and being forced to live in cramped accommodations. I work in healthcare, and a lot of people who work in the facility in which I'm employed were brought here from the Philippines and India, mostly. Some were hired directly by this employer, while others came here some other way. Those with professions like being an RN were under the impression that it wouldn't take that long or be that difficult to get their Canadian certification to work as RNs here. Instead, they found out that the process for that here in Canada is a lot tougher and takes a lot longer than they'd been led to believe. So many are left not being able to use their education to its fullest, instead working as care aides until they can get the proper certification. I know that this has also happened with doctors and engineers and to many in other professions for which they went to school for years. It's a real shame.\n\nThis massive influx of people coming from other countries, though, has been really tough on those of us who were already living here. It's been way too many people, and we just weren't prepared. It's been one of the biggest factors in the huge increase of cost of living and, of course, it's by far the reason we have an enormous housing shortage.\n\nI'm not completely anti-immigration, but I think that it needs to be stopped, at least for a while. Let us deal with what's going on now instead of bringing in more people that would only help to make things worse, through no fault of their own. There's no reason that we need to have more people coming here right now. We have way more than enough people here right now.

They need skilled immigration and they take unskilled immigration, which instead of adding to the budget will draw from it. Where is the sense and logic in that? For many years, Germany drained Poland and other post-communist countries of skilled workers, then the difference in the standard of living between the West and the East of Europe was huge, today it has decreased to the point that people prefer to live with dignity among their own people. Now Poland has become a country accepting immigrants from the East, the language is similar so it is easy to learn, the culture is similar, the standard of living is good and the streets are safe. Germany is no longer as attractive to skilled workers as it used to be, the cost of living is high and you can get stabbed in the liver on your way to work.

I’m an expat who came to Europe only 8 months ago. I had 2 job offers to choose from, one in Germany and the other in Belgium.\nIt didn’t take much thinking to reject the German offer although it included higher income. I don’t think a lot of people prefer living among German society because they are known for not being friendly.

Multiculturalism is the dumbest idea ever. It simply can't work. Most countries and cultures in the world fight within their borders and with their neighbours. What can one expect when they are all mixed together in one country and they bring all that cultural baggage with them? It doesn't take a genius to figure it out.

Cambodia has an average tax rate of $200 US, & Australia has a rate of $8000 US. The trouble with Cambodia is if you have an accident there they take you to hospital and let you die!

My friends moved to Canada from South Africa. They couldn't take it. The one sister lasted 1 year and the other 2 years. They came back and said that giving up community and culture for money and safety was not worth it. And that the people in Canada seemed very sad and depressed.

It will take years to correct what the Trudeau/ NDP governments have done to my country . I fear they have destroyed the future of my children and grand childrean .

Unfair to every single Canadians. These people will take low paying jobs and most companies will choose to hire them over Canadians so they can pay them low salaries. As a result, Canadians become jobless. Another problem, Canada's culture will die slowly and the native people will be replaced because Immigrants marry 5 wives, always get 500 children. I am an international student in Germany and am about to earn a master's degree here. I looked for jobs here but I am not fluent in the language they want. So, I am going to take my newly acquired skills somewhere else.

The immigration is definitely in response to lowering birth rates and keeping a plenty work force with more competition for workers. Its a way to keep people in line. And people from 3rd world or desperate to leave their country will take all they can get to get out and live a better quality of life.

Do you know what is truly sad? Indian People are some of the hardest workers wherever you go, they take jobs that most won't do are highly educated and respectful towards everyone. They work their butt off and when they get taken advantage of, it seems they don't get the same attention. THAT MAN HAD BEEN SAVING HIS ENTIRE LIFE AND HE IS NOT ONLY ENTITLED TO THE RENT BUT ALSO THE DISTRESS THAT THIS TENANT HAS CAUSED HIM AND HIS FAMILY. He is right, she is R***ing the Law. As someone who has lived in Germany for almost 9 years and speaks C2 German, this is my take: \n- I understand the language requirements are necessary , but they are more often than not completely unrealistic unless you started with the language at a young age or you have lived in Germany for many years. \n- The bureaucracy and hurdles to obtain visas and permits are absurd. It is literally easier to throw away your passport and claim asylum than go the legal way to obtain permanent residence or citizenship. This is crazy, the government needs to reform this. \n- Cost of living is high and wages are ok, but the taxes are way too high. It is frustrating to give away so much for a government that malinvests much of that money.\n- Due to the high costs and relatively low real income, it is hard to build up wealth. \n- The culture is also not easy to adapt to. Even though I master the language and have many German friends, I still deeply have the feeling I don’t belong. I am ok with that, I still love the country and its people, but it’s not for everyone. \n\nIf you are a highly skilled worker with no previous connections to Germany, I don’t see many reasons anyone would pick it over other rich countries.

They can mortgage the property and avoid paying. Banks can evict her to take over the property. Then the owner can pay back what he owed

did you know that you get a pension till the day you die for being employed as a Politian for only 4 years. and now they have just changed the money of the pension to 85% of the total wages based on the maximum earnings and it is now floating to what the current wage is. So if you retired a Politian 40 years ago and made it that 4 long years to retirement and your wage was 200k per year, you get 170k per year till the day you die, and when the current wage of the Politian goes up, they bump your pension up. That was a new bill that was passed last year. so glad we get to hear about the 1 billion per year that the CBC gets. Anyone care to take a guess at what that revolving 4 year retirement pension plan is costing the Canadian Tax payers? My guess is about 60 billion per year so far.

If they was behaving like normal people I was have empathy. But they aren’t they not working just protesting all day and just take and not give back. They need to let go of Islam and sharia laws and behave like normal people islam brought them nothing but trouble

What I can watch here is a clickbait video. Toronto is safer today than it was 30-40 years ago. Groceries were never cheap in Canada. The biggest issue here is home prices, however a lot of cities around the world are experiencing the same issue. Take a look at apartment prices in Amsterdam, Munich, London e.t.c and how expensive they got in recent years.

biggest problems are the delusional politicians in the government who dont take care of its citizens in the first place take care of your country first and once you've done that then you can help those are in need of support but not at the expense of the livelyhood of its residence in america and not at the expense of their freedom ot their well being. that goes for every government and i can see too many of those politicians are too focused on getting wealthy being greedy increasing rent, taxes etc they are a disgrace.

I am from Bangladesh. I did my masters here and working full time with a blue card visa. It will take for my wife and daughter to get a visa appointment in Bangladesh 24 months minimum. It is super sad and everyday I am getting more and more depressed. And the ambassador there does not even care. He keeps saying they have staff shortage and it has going on since the covid. Do you think I would feel welcomed? Of course no. To be honest, I would not probably plan to stay for too long myself.

Need to take unconventional method. Someone break in, change all the locks and have a new rental contract signed by owner. When cops come they can't do squat until they get a search warrant since whoever they find inside has a legal rental contract. It will takes months for the courts to figure out what to do about two illegal claims 1) break entry but has legal rental contract 2) person that can't prove they live there since they haven't paid rent.

Trudeau cut off peoples' bank accounts because they engaged in peaceful protest. No government should have the right to disable your bank account or confiscate your money without convicting you in a court of law first. Okay so no 100 k wont' get you that life you dream of, you'll get by in BC, but you can't buy anything. You can rent, you need 200 k now in BC, Kelowna average house is 1.1 m, Vancouver 1 bedroom is 3000 +, nobody wants to live in a jail cell, but maybe some wierdo's do? I don't know. \n\nIf your working and making 100 k in Vancouver, your working likely many hours for that, meaning there is no pay off, no car, rent a small apartment, have little savings.\n\nNow here's the REAL catch. If you make what some think is rich in Canada say 300 k a year. That works out to 182,000 after taxes, pension etc. Now homes in Vancouver, well let's maybe look at small condo's, hmm lets say a 850 sq foot condo sets you back 900 k, monthly mortgage is 6000, that's 72,000 a year, insurance, no car okay can't afford it, maybe a small car, 1000 a month insurance, payments fuel etc, cable, internet phone, etc etc food, another 2000 for a family of 3, wife one child. Thats now 9000 a month, dental, eye glasses, clothes, sports, other, another 1000 a month, 10,000 a month = 120,000 a year to live in a small 2 bedroom condo in Vancouver. Oh and condo fees 500 per month, so 126,000 a year, no extras yet.\n\nmeaning if you make 300 k a year and lets add on JOB expense, usually with high income comes some expenses, lets call it 6000 a year, suits, whatever. Thats 132,000 minus the after tax income of 182 and your left with 50,000 per year for savings and xmas, travel etc.\n\nNow you make 300 k a year and you live in a small 2 bedroom apartment and maybe some day, 10 years down the road you can buy a home. \n\nAnd the max you can afford on 300 k a year is around 1 million after a 100 k deposit.\n\nNow if you make more than that, there is NO reason to live in Canada, in BC they take 48 % of my income and what do I get lol, zilch, bad health care haha fun,

Most liberals will support and vote for liberal Policies, but then when those policies are enacted, the liberals dislike the results so much, they leave. Hey, to all you people from Europe, how about you take a look at what your own country did in the middle east, aswell as what America did. \n\nDid your countries not go there? Did they not shell the cities and houses there? \n\nAnd if you don't think it is your countries fault, but America's or Canada's fault, why has your country not protested their actions? I’m a Korean American who has lived here my entire life since birth. I have lived in many other places and the thing about immigrants is they ALWAYS share the same traits wherever they go. \nI live in an affluent area and whenever the immigrants from poor countries come in they all do the same things…throw trash and litter everywhere, the attitude of “I made it just like you therefore I deserved to be treated like a king”..telling them to turn down the music at 2am and not understanding why so instead you are met with argumentative resistance instead of them just saying “hey we’re sorry won’t happen again, we don’t want to be that guy in this neighborhood. Our apologies” but nope. They continue to do it night after night and the audacity to even get angry. The crowding of all of their families in disrepspectful ways such as cutting in line while everyone else is patiently waiting, if there is free samples of food, they will group up and annihilate whatever they are offering not even caring about anyone else but their own. Leaving a very bad image for us East Asians when people from the red flag dragon nation come in droves. Being extremely loud in public while talking about petty nonsensical things most times but they yell and laugh not caring whoever else is around. Even if the room is quiet they have zero situational awareness, never putting things back when they grab them from stores or gym etc. they expect someone to pickup and do this for them. The entitlement ?….if something is on sale they don’t understand to take just one or two, they have to take the entire box so no one else can get it. \nI his list never ends and they don’t understand why people don’t want them living in their countries. After reading a few of these comments, the main take aways are, there are a lot of immigrants, things cost more, healthcare is a mess and inflation.\nI am sorry that things are hard, the costs of everything are up everywhere in the world so good luck in gentrifying other nations and making your problems their problems.\nIt pains me to no ends that after things get tough in Canada many are ready to jump ship for better softer areas where they will trash the place with their incomes creating inequality there as well and then blaming the mess that they will create on the indigenous people that they will abandon for better pastures.\n\nAs a Canadian of native ancestry I never had it anywhere as good as many of the people here complaining about their middle class woes.\n\nMaybe if you fought for a change, like more housing to bring down the prices and fought corporate greedflation and gouging, realizing that much of this problem, the attack on the healthcare services, much of it being done by the conservative governments, then perhaps you would not be so annoyed with Trudeau.\n\nHe is not helping the housing problem by not building the 2 million new homes that he said he would but NIMBY people are making this difficult. Yet when the prices of housing was going up, many homeowners loved it, even though it meant that the poor, the actual poor and not you lot, were stacked like firewood into smaller and smaller rooms with no AC so it was hot in the summer and freezing in the winter and the slum lords are having a hey day. \nThe actual first nations people are homeless and being killed daily and are arrested for being poor daily but you lot think you have it bad. \n\nSorry, when non first nations people say that they will leave Canada because its not how they remember it when they were kids and its worse now so they will jump ship to gentrify other nations, I just shake my head and hold open the door as you leave the nation and wonder at your arrogance and egoism.

Why is she living in such a luxury building if she has a hard time paying her rent. In Nigeria, you could stay up to 6 months before the law finally run out of your favor. Why do leaders make this kind of immoral and unethical laws. No wonder most landlords in Nigeria are now going shortlet or short stay because they refuse to take a risk with the wrong tenants

I had visited Canada since the 1980's on both coasts, mostly Quebec providence, Alberta and British Columbia. I loved Canada, sometimes more than the U.S., which is where I was from. Canada has been taken over by the bastard son of Fidel Castro who is ruining the country at a surprising pace, mostly because they take advantage of the civility and kindness of its people. I rue the day that actor/freakshow took over for his cuckolded father. I am sorry that I won't come any longer but more sad for the people who are living through this sh*tshow.

A lot of international students take out loans to trick the canadian government into thinking they have the capital to support themselves once they immigrate, and then just mooch off our social programs and burdening everyone when they are here.

Sorry to say that but Indians are very corrupt, they are trying to cheat any system or any rule. They are the ones behind all kinds of illegal implementations on: Immigration(selling jobs which is illegal), banking system(forging income documents to get high Mortgages from banks), cheating on documents(like fake school letter of acceptances or fake banking statements) and exams(offering to enter exams on behalf of others with a charge). These are not general considerations, I personally am in the know of all these examples myself and I am hearing many others. \nAdditionally they are disrupting the labor market by lowering life standards. To be specific, there are many indians, living 10-20 people in the same home, lowering their life costs, then going to businesses offering for a much lower salaries, hourly wages since their living costs are considerably low. This is not a fair competition, you can not expect people to live in barracks, just to be able to compete. this is disrupting social life.\nThe pooping and these kinds of senitary examples are just the icing on the cake. \n\nFinally, the indian community are not trying to come in to Canada and be a part of the community and the system, instead they are trying to turn this country into India, which they are running from in the first place. \n\nCanadians are nice yes, but any sound person should react accordingly if their kindness is abused. \nOfficial are needed to take actions on this, since I don't expect the Indian comm unity to behave.

I can understand the pain the gentleman is going through my family own a life housing and land in Uganda very few tenants have paid and the government is not letting us evict them but love us to continue to pay our taxes while allowing encroachers to steal our land and some of them are military personalities. My mother just passed and every single day was struggling to pay her medical bills. And guess what the miltary government ishe helped put in power. They had no money to buy my arms and food for 30 years and even longer. As soon as those with evil mind intentions leave we shall go back to our daily routines take our kids to school. Canada is broken we the citizens should now be able to take matters like this into our own hands. What these tenants are doing is theft they are stealing and getting away with this. There needs to be a law that if you don't pay rent you must leave or suffer the consequences of jail time

What I don’t understand is that Canada is being marketed all around the world as one of the best countries to live in and yet it is #1 in the worst cost of living. And we have health insurance but no one to work the hospitals because of a shortage of nurses and doctors. It’s like going to the restaurant and someone shows you the menu, you pay up front and then they ask you to leave until they can find a waitress to take your order and a cook to cook your meal.

What i dont understand is Why these massive imigrants pull into West countries 'expecting' they will be taking care of? For decades imigrants came and worked hard to take care their own family- !? Why? we have to take care , not fews, not hundred , not thousands, but millions!!!?

None of this would be happening if Mike Harris hadn't dissolved the rent control board. With no governmental oversight it's become a landlords free-for-all allowing rent to be increased between tenancies by whatever percent the LL choses, utterly insane. And tenants need a place to live so they'll take on a place they can't afford to get a roof over their and then this happens! It's an extremely broken system.\n\nAnd the children of the dying Boomer and previous generations are inheriting these properties and want their 'share' or 'cut'. Their folks were doing fine renting out that 2 bedroom apartment for $1200 or that entire 3-bedroom house for $2000 plus utilities but those amounts of rent once divided between these Boomers two or three, or more, kids $2600-2800 for 2 bedroom apartment or $4000-5000 for an entire house splits up much nicer for the children... broken.

Everyone needs to be mindful when they leave their country to go inhabit another. Be mindful of their customs and leave your racism and hatred in your old country. People are moving to countries on the continent of Africa and Asian countries and they are bringing their old mindset with them. There is no room for that ignorance. Stop trying to change their culture or stop them from doing what they have done for centuries because you don't like it. There are alot of videos popping up complaining about Americans, British and Canadians treating locals poorly. There are videos of the Americans, British and Canadians bragging about how they take advantage of these people. Don't be like that please.

I'm pretty sure more will come but many will leave so on once they understood that their living standards aren't improving. I see lot of people are struggling and moving to Netherlands, Belgium and soon. Even with two income it's hard to survive in any EU countries. The main reason behind all this misery is lack of housing, tax, tax and more taxes. Netherland is also not a good at housing and taxes. European are not work hard becasue it will only result in more taxes and causes more misery. In EU majority of people choose to spent time with family and friends than earning more money. It is cultural difference between EU and rest of the world.\n\nImmigrants come to EU thinking of earning more fortune like Dubai or USA, so that they can send remittance back to home has just become a day dream. In reality these countries take half of your fortune in taxes and in return they give good water, clean air and almost peaceful life.

Why should this country you're fleeing to take you in? Instead of fleeing Canada, why don't you fight for it? Did you vote for the Liberals that are screwing up Canada? Are you just going to do the same in your next host country? Have you ever looked in the mirror? Maybe you're the problem you're fleeing from. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Canada, like the rest of the world, needs to repent. Then they might get the wisdom back to govern properly. It's good that you see the problems of Canada, but you should pay your dues and fight instead of just complaining and fleeing. And if you do leave, maybe put a little more effort into your next host country and not just flee when the going gets tough.

They really have to lock up the drugs and send people to live up in the woods and farms so that they can learn to care for vegetables and fruits and stop relying on the system to support their weaknesses for those drugs that wont take the place of reconnecting with their true selves without!.. Its much nicer to enjoy life with a nice meal and a glass of red wine after a day of working out in nature. Cities like Vancouver are not the place to be when you're broke, they keep you broke. You have to produce to be able to sell things and make money but the rents are so expensive that you wont have any time for that, you'll be working full time just to make ends meet. The average salary for a farm worker is $18.47 and the rent is cheap!

This is what the powerful countries politicians has made of the world and then they ask why ppl want take refuge in Europe? You making me laugh if you have left ppl living peacefully in their home land if you haven't destroyed robbed their goods ... Now nothing will stop them from coming to get back their right to live as you give ur self right to live better then others
