Once upon a time, a lot of people in Europe dreamed of going to the United States and living there. Today it's very hard to find someone like that. The United States has fallen very low and is now like a junction of hell and a landfill. America made one mistake: it chose the invisible hand of the market. Europe for the free market with the addition of state intervention. As a result, people in the USA are very neurotic and are constantly afraid of their tomorrow and their credits, and in socialist Europe people live safer and are simply happier. They don't have so much pressure for success. Success in Europe does not lie in great wealth, but in a comfortable and peaceful life. Canada is a bit more like Europe, so the people of Canada are maybe happier. But it is still a long way from the European Union, where governments care for the well-being of ordinary people, and not just corporations.

Hi Jason. Thank you for a clear video. I always refer to this when in doubt. However, I have a question. \nI am still pursuing my master's in the USA and it will be completed in August. But to start with the process, I gave my IELTS exam and had my WES evaluation.\n\nThe WES evaluation says that my level of study is equivalent to 'Two years of graduate study' but not 'Master's degree equivalent to Canadian masters'. I think that is because my degree is still in progress and incomplete. \n\nSo while creating the IRCC profile what level of education should I put? I'm not aware of a US based media network doing an investigation like this. Fox news definitely wouldn't educate their viewers like this. Is that the difference between USA and Canada? Is Canada trying a little harder to be more self aware? I'm a US citizen (half white, half Filipino) and I am trying to be more aware of my racial biases and I've caught myself a few times. I think this is good and healthy. It's like working out a muscle to become stronger. Let's work on noticing our hidden biases.

I live in the USA. I have strongly considered moving to Canada. The US is great. But don't believe the hype that we are the greatest country on earth. That is nonsense.\n\nIt's very stressful living in the US. Yes, you can become wealthy. But you have to basically dedicate your life to working. Working for corporations can provide a nice living for your family. But you won't be home very often.\n\nBottom line is that the US is not what it used to be.

Too many people die on waiting lists in Canada as there is not enough resources to go around, y'all have waited 4-8 H(normal is 2-4) just to be seen before don't fib to web now. \n\nAnd since we lack competition for newer/better medical procedure, 80-90% of our medical knowledge comes from the states or ww2 Germany.\n\nWhile on say the USA side, due to the competition they are constantly making advancements (which in the long run makes overall treatment cheaper and closer affordable). While with Canada you have fixed prices, which actually encourages stagnantion in development as anything that streamlines the hospital making it more efficient hurst the hospitals next year of available funding.. while being hurt in the USA can really set the individual back.\nIn Canada you get an overall lower quality of care as the talented doctors end up moving to the states where they can get paid what they are worth not stuck on a fixed income. And after all that rare illnesses in canada as stated don't have any coverage meaning that any one hit with hit rare illness finds out the hard way they can either pay for life saving medication or well pass on.. as most Canadian are taxed to high to have any substantial savings available for such an emergency as they fall into the trap that the government has me covered. \n\nSo each system has its positives and negatives and as far as I'm concerned it's not talked about enough honestly up hear.\n\nIf you have been to the dentist in canada thats basically the usa system, though the prices are fixed in some areas so some services won't be available.. as they don't update the payment schedule often enough so certain procedures pay well, other well can actually cost the dentist out of pocket. \nTherefore in some areas you can't get certain procedures done at all the dentist will refuse.

Canada has a very high cost of living. In Toronto or Vancouver,$1800/month rent for an average apartment, houses are at least $750,000 in a decent area. Cellphone and internet rates are among highest in world. Groceries and alcohol are expensive compared to US and UK. Extreme cold weather 5 months a year even in southern cities like Toronto. Spotty transit service compared to European and Asian cities. Much of the country is undeveloped because of extreme weather. Most Canadians live within 60 miles of the USA border.\n\nAdvantages of Canada : it is reasonably rich and technologically advanced. Free and democratic although not like the USA. Lots of open space outside large cities. And very quiet , peaceful but uneventful country.

For sports the correction is that cricket in Canada is a lot more popular than the USA since the cricket team in Canada has a few local Canadians on it despite not being well known like immigrants from cricket countries unlike us US cricket team is almost all immigrants from cricket playing countries in my opinion

Also this guy came with his family from America which is NOT a country of refugee status or seen as an endangering atmosphere. I don't think Canada ever lied. Unlike the USA Canada does not play around. We welcome legal immigrants and bona fide refugees. Unfortunately there is a lot of greyness in what it means to be a bona fide refugee. Perhaps too many people think it means one thing. \n.\nMy heart goes out to all these foreigners wanting to make a life here in Canada - after all I am one of them. The ONLY difference between the guy in the video and me is that I was lucky to have an opportunity to get a degree'd education and was accepted into Canada.

This may surprise a lot of people, but Canada is also more ethnically diverse in daily living than the USA... and by a lot. Nearly every grocery store in Canada has an ethnic section.... try finding that in the US... sure, they have it, but you have to really look... not so in Canada.

Just because the USA is worse, doesnt mean we are innocent, or have no culpability in the historical oppression and displacement of indigenous communities. Someone who lives and studied the Canadian history in school, I can say that there is racism in Canada, but not as worst as USA is we are to compare, but that doesn’t mean Canada is innocent either. It has its fair share of racism in from the history until the present days. The government does make it seem they are washing their hands of their history and directing the attention to the USA than admitting they too have this problem. Just not obvious and worst.

People from countries all over the world want to live in the USA(legally or not) and Canada. What I love about both countries that religion doesn't play much of role . Btw Canada is 60% non religion . And USA is 40% no religion . But the most important thing is that the secular identity in both nations . Christians in both countries are not traditional Christians . But secular Christians . That's why Americans and Canadians marry other people like non religious and other religions \nAnd they are very open minded nations . I just hope if I can marry a Canadian or American because Its my dream to marry and settle down in there for a very big part of my life .
