I'm irritated. Re Trudeau's speech this morning, I want to comment on it. I want to say that I'm not a Trudeau fan, but his response to Trump this morning was excellent and I'm impressed. However... EVERY damn CBC YouTube page has comments turned off. WTF?

Great speech! As an American, I'm on Canada's side in this fight. The American tariffs should not have been implemented. Their purpose is to hurt both countries, to soften us up for Russian dominance.

This is how you make a speech. Instead of being a bully. Higher prices are coming.

I am surprised the CNN allowed any anti Trump speech here seeing as they have their head so far up Trump's backside when Jake Tapper speaks it comes out of Trump's nose!

In Canada you do not have freedom of speech, they will send you to re-education! Ask Jordan Peterson! In Canada you don’t have 2nd amendment either, as Canada has no such law for self defense with a firearm, in Canada the Government can seize your bank accounts and bankrupt you if you protest! Ask the truckers! No, we do not stand with a Dictator who use to be a high-school drama teacher! Canada is free to fund Ukraine all it wants! But our support has been 20x more plus intelligence. We will do what’s best for our people! Clinton took Ukraines Nuclear Weapons in 1994 and promised Russia would not take aggression against them. We need to stay out of Europes mess, they dragged us into 2 world wars and it’s not our job to constantly deal with their mess!

In hindsight this speech from old Justin just made Canada look extremely weak.

A generous hearted speech

We need all republicans out of office immediately, none of this current administration follows the constitution. We are losing our constitutional liberties by the hour due to every republican following their king. Btw, I am independent, I am pro democracy and pro constitution. We have to demand impeachments . The only thing Trudeau got wrong on his speech was to say that Trump is a smart man. Any attempted appeasement of Trump is simply not worth it.

This is not a blistering speech. Trudeau just increased the tariffs on Canadian exports from 25% to 50% with his retaliation
