I know many people who did that. But most of them go not for papers not for new opportunities BUT to take advantage of the Canadian free welfare. Many many years everything for free.

Does the word 'refugee' not have any meaning to anybody anymore? Pffft. It's like this in Europe. Let's be honest, most are economic migrants not refugees and I find it deeply insulting to see such powerful words abused and entirely watered down in meaning. It's like the gross abuse of words like 'phobic', 'fascist' and 'racist' etc. The more you fling them around as pejoratives that enforce or heighten some emotional angle in your rhetoric, as a dopey shorthand smear word, the greater the REAL damage. If you genuinely care about words and their meanings. There's nothing wrong with immigration whatsoever, the problem is illegal immigration and people who play the system. It angers everybody, especially other legit immigrants, interestingly enough. I laugh at these soft-headed, sheltered types believing all the sob stories they're fed, the images they first see and take entirely to heart. When you live 'in it' you can spot a load of old bollocks a mile away.

all I have to say is society in community should take Justice by publishing every single personal detail about this woman online...I can guarantee you Canada because your police and justice system is not there to protect you...if we do this collectively you will see these racist and other criminal elements of society will literally be boarded up in their homes and it never leave because leaving the home... dear God their fate would literally be sealed by walking down that street..because as a brown Canadian born and raised one thing people might not realize is when someone is racist to you it is one of the most heinous and vile acts that you can experience... And it produces so much anger that the suspension from her work is not Justice...and any one of you here that has had an attack not just racist against them knows what I'm talking about... If it were up to me these people would never walk free their life would be miserable for years and then they would be given a second chance... What the people dont realize is that CANADA is a very expensive place to live, they think they can come here and live on couple of bucks. Canada is not the States. We pay the highest taxes, highest alcohol price, housing market is just ridiculous, Hydro most by any country, ...oh man I could keep on going. oh yeah...and dont forget that beautiful cold snow and the shovelling u have to do in -30 degree weather.

For Canada small thing like broken arm or need information or certain medication i n that way Canada supior way, it's fairly quick treatment and tends to be effictive. Where Canada starts lagging behind is really in RnD and access to life saving procedures. Too many people die on waiting lists in Canada as there is not enough resources to go around, y'all have waited 4-8 H(normal is 2-4) just to be seen before don't fib to web now. \n\nAnd since we lack competition for newer/better medical procedure, 80-90% of our medical knowledge comes from the states or ww2 Germany.\n\nWhile on say the USA side, due to the competition they are constantly making advancements (which in the long run makes overall treatment cheaper and closer affordable). While with Canada you have fixed prices, which actually encourages stagnantion in development as anything that streamlines the hospital making it more efficient hurst the hospitals next year of available funding.. while being hurt in the USA can really set the individual back.\nIn Canada you get an overall lower quality of care as the talented doctors end up moving to the states where they can get paid what they are worth not stuck on a fixed income. And after all that rare illnesses in canada as stated don't have any coverage meaning that any one hit with hit rare illness finds out the hard way they can either pay for life saving medication or well pass on.. as most Canadian are taxed to high to have any substantial savings available for such an emergency as they fall into the trap that the government has me covered. \n\nSo each system has its positives and negatives and as far as I'm concerned it's not talked about enough honestly up hear.\n\nIf you have been to the dentist in canada thats basically the usa system, though the prices are fixed in some areas so some services won't be available.. as they don't update the payment schedule often enough so certain procedures pay well, other well can actually cost the dentist out of pocket. \nTherefore in some areas you can't get certain procedures done at all the dentist will refuse.

I almost feel all religion should be completely private. Any suggestion of any religion publicly should be illegal. Christianity/islam etc. You cant discriminate against islam. Its easy for me to say because im an atheist. Islam does appear the most dangerous but it used to be christianity. There are good muslims and good christians but equally ghere are maniacs. If everyone kept their religions private/secret and those flouting that were jailed that might work. Fair for everyone really. Why should people need to ram their religion down others throats. Its a shame because im in favour of freedom but i guess that would mean banning the burka, crucifix’s etc. Shame people cant just be civil, live and let live etc. I think its either regulate or anarchy.

I came to Canada as a student. Applied through to get my permanent residency. Improved my English, also learnt French. Worked multiple jobs... learned the Canadian way of life. Amalgamated myself into this wonderful country and it's even more awesome people... most importantly always paid my taxes and never been on EI... now your telling me I should have just walked across the border and within 12 hours I would have received refugee status... phewww that's a blow out

I'm in my 60s I never been called the N-word and I'm from New York.. When that Muslim woman was being harassed I never seen people get treated like that because most people Now a Day's do there Bullying on the Internet.. A lot of these tests that was done did they ever go back to these Stores or Real Estate officer's?? If they did why didn't they show what Happened??

i believe the united states of america is the most remarkable nation that has ever existed. no other nation, in the history of the world has ever provided so much freedom so much justice and so much opportunity's to so many people \n\nyou dont have to agree if you dont want to

My only question about these tests, is how large were the sample pools? And one other thing to note, is that compared to almost every other nation on earth, Canada has next to no racism (i believe we are actually the best on earth when it comes to that). I'm white and have traveled to Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and South America, and have experienced racism in every one of those continents. By a large portion of the people I interacted with. I also find that most racism that I have seen or experienced stems from 2 places. One culture and the second a lack of experience in interacting with other races.

As soon as you use a colour in your speech to describe a person from a certain continent you are suspect in my opinion. \nIf this about getting money for historical past wrongs you are suspect as well. \n I would agree that the Canadian Police have lost their way and are serving a new master. \nI am afraid that this may lead to chaos because hate and anger are powerful emotions \nand would agree that most people do not know who is really making this happen. \nSome would say that the Europeans have conquered this continent with gun, germs and steel.\nWe are going to have to figure out how all of us human beings can live in peace in Canada.

There is discrimination here. I am from Latin American and it has been difficult to fit in this country but most importantly to find a job. I mean fit in because they look at me very weird. I don’t really feel part of the society here. As for work/job There are many companies that only want asian or only want white people. I think Canada should start asking companies to present how many black, Latino, Asian and white were hired.

Hey Yes there is a problem of racism in Canada too. They will not show directly but indirectly will do that at most of the places. Its really rude especially when i try to help out somebody or don’t have any intentions to hurt people. I always try to make people happy and smile. Why is that? Before anything we are all humans, that should all matters. Please being respectful to everybody, you never know how the person is already going through in their lives. City really has a lot to with it. I’m a Hispanic in Houston, Texas, one of the most Hispanic places in Texas, and I’ve never really felt uncomfortable or felt like people have any prejudice towards me, but I didn’t know racism was still a thing until I was 19, so I may be super oblivious to these things still

For the shopping experience, they have the guys go in carrying hand bags. That's going to get their attention since shoplifters could easily put things into the bags and most people don't bring computer bags, hand bags etc when they shop.\n\nI've had instances where people were awful to me for no apparent reason (I'm white), and it struck me that if i was black, I would attribute the terrible treatment to racism since I couldn't think of any other reason for the bad treatment. \n\nAnother form of racism not covered here is the racism of low expectations. If people assume that you are too dumb to understand something or too poor to afford something, that's wrong. Same holds true for treating women as if they won't understand. Usually this behavior is done, not by bad people, but by people who just haven't had a lot of interactions with different people of different races. So they haven't had the chance to have those stereotypes personally disproven.

I've been 6 years here in Canada ... It's the first time I know that when I used to be asked if I need any help, they were actually checking if I am stealing ... I never took it that way .. I always took it positively and that people are being nice to customers ... I prefer to stay in my naivety ... it's easier ... in the other hand as a part time Uber/Lyft driver ... from the middle east ... white riders were generally the best and most polite (apart from very few drunk riders) ... they are miles better than all other races .. including people of my own country ...

As someone who under saw evictions in montreal for many years i can confirm that the tenants i usually had to deal with for not paying rent were of color, the residences most often left in a total mess, with destroyed property and infestation were more often than not those of colored people. property owners have little to no power once they've signed a contract, it makes sense that they're careful of who they allow to rent from them.

What I mean by that is most of the job's are given to Brown people as they do better work for less money because they are not privileged and do the best work this is the fault of not black or white

I used to feel angry,when ignored by shop assistants,for whitees ,but I studied things closely,and found that whites dress up .....properly most of the time ,when going to these stores,and shabby looking white people dont get treated,better than blacks......so it gets down to the selfish silliness of the employee....as to who will actually buy their wares,and ensure their pay. Whites generally have a better earning power,so the incentives are aimed at them.

8:17 BEST BUY Hello people Just before the COVID 19 pandemic struck our Country, in the United States of America. My son and I were shopping at Best Buy. We had more than five or six different people ask if we needed assistance. My Son would say no thanks, and I would ask each one that did ask if I needed help, to help me. That associate would show me where to look, then try real hard to get away from me. This happened at least five to six times. All six times, I said yes. Finally, they stopped asking me and continued to ask my son. The reason my son would say no thanks is because he was just looking. I, on the other hand, had questions about what I wanted to buy. They did a great job answering all of my questions, however, when it came to buying what I wanted to buy most of all of the associates had either left the area or went home, because I could not find anyone when it came down to purchasing the items I wanted, only to find out what I wanted was made in China, They no longer carry the product, in their stores, or online. However, they still had the items on display; however, you just could not buy them. P.S. We are white.

I think everyone has their own bias / opinion for any person. Regardless if they are the same race or different. People of the same race can dress differently and people will have different opinions. All we can do is to be our best not to behave in a rude or hurtful way. And I feel for the most part, in major multicultural areas, Canadians are doing their part. \nSome of the tests in the video seem a bit too high level. It's not really scientific. You can't make any definite conclusions from it.

I love Canada, I have a lot of family in Toronto and have been there many times as well as Montreal and Vancouver. Tbh, there’s no place like the US. We have all types of climates and geography. From deserts, tundra, rain forests, etc. We have some of the best mountains, beaches, and cities on Earth. If you like cold weather, stay up north like Chicago or Boston. If you like normal every season weather, we have many places for that. Mediterranean weather in California, and tropical weather in Florida. We have it all. We have the best sports fans in the world and every sport is accepted here. You can even see so many people play Rugby and Cricket in many parks. Many great universities throughout the country. Best attractions in the world for all age groups. High pay and decent cost of living in most part of the country. Supercar culture is the best in the world especially in SoCal (my personal favorite), TV and entertainment, and the list keeps going on and on. I know that the government in this country is pretty messed up, but hopefully that will be resolved in the future. I also respect the safety that Canada has, but have to admit that Toronto is getting pretty dangerous in some areas. Plus the History of America is amazing. I really do love Canada and would live there if I had to move out of the country, but there’s no place like the USA. ??❤️??

What I love about both countries that religion doesn't play much of role . Btw Canada is 60% non religion . And USA is 40% no religion . But the most important thing is that the secular identity in both nations . Christians in both countries are not traditional Christians . But secular Christians . That's why Americans and Canadians marry other people like non religious and other religions \nAnd they are very open minded nations . I just hope if I can marry a Canadian or American because Its my dream to marry and settle down in there for a very big part of my life . I don't care what's my partner religion as long as I love and her it's enough .

The first time i travelled across Canada on a road trip, heading west, going town to town along the TransCanada Hiway, i choose a black friend to accompany me. I choose him because he was really easy to get along with and i knew he was an auto mechanics enthusiast, which, as it turned out came in handy on the trip. We were on the road for a few months. I grew up in a city in a little multicultural bubble of liberalism and was taught as a child not to judge others based on skin colour or sex; to be respectful towards people of all ilks and ethnicities. The thing is, i was young enough to not really realize that i was in a bubble. As we travelled though parts of Saskatchewan and Alberta, where there are few to no blacks in many towns, i began to realize that Canada is quite racist in the outback and little towns mid country. I was surprised and actually angered by it. My friend took it in stride however. For example, i was meeting people, getting invited home for dinner and meet the wife and kids sort of thing, and my friend couldn't even get a conversation going with most people, they just totally ignored him and gave him a wide berth. I know underlying all of that is just the fear of an unknown quantity and the fact that a lot of Canadians watch American news sometimes which tends to be chock full of black in gang wars, shooting each other and committing violent crime so they get a false view of black culture because the news at that time rarely showed blacks unless they were committing a crime.

The hate comments on this video are really too many. And as I know most of the foreigners don't watch this channel, I think most of these are butt hurt people who couldn't do anything in their life and are jealous of those in the video. Or some other state people jealous of Punjabis all over the world and completely dominating India. \n\nAnd I give a rats ass about your patriotism if you can't respect other people's choices. that's what we Indians are famous for - not respecting anybody's choices and going on with moral policing. \n\nAnd as for questioning their patriotism, the send more money back to India than you Guys will ever earn in your life. I find it very depressing that the history of black people seem incomplete,without reference to slavery.....but most nowadays African Americans,don't know much about slavery......and it should be understood that most Africans were born free,they were never slaves.\n How can we bring more dignity to the black person abroad......seeing that the immediate reaction of being reminded of slavery is racism.\nI would like to hear a renewed rhetoric that identifies the years of slavery in speeches. Due to too many unhappy citizens of many lands, most productive, constructive countries are over- flooding with other nations peoples. It’s too much. When a person goes somewhere other than their own land less and less of these countries are willing to allow any more refugees in their country. Why because it’s about economics. In economic in an economy all things must be paid for. This is an Democratic society, almost all things are available through businesses. The medium of exchange for all ‘goods and services ‘ are conducted through the means of money. The masses of our nations people are not wealthy. Which most indulge themselves in employment. Employment in exchange for hours of pay we get paid.!The person most quailed to be employed are the citizens of these nations and not other nations people. What I am saying is that each land is more interested in their own home grown employee. So when you the non resident come without our permission you are the one placing yourself and your family in peril. Which means you are responsible for the pain and losses you suffer do to you either misunderstandings or non-available knowledge. Work towards asking for a better government for your own home land. And less people will be disappointed when you are rejected from lands who are already too filled !

I understand both sides, my heart goes out to that man but rules are rules but may he find a way. I see a lot of stone hearted comments. This is such a ridiculous video. Especially the implication that other races are less biased than whites. Asian folks largely stick with Asian folks. Muslims often times only marry Muslims. Most black people in America admit to racial bias and there is a large amount of hate crime against white folks that is not charged that way because of their white skin. Almost everyone has cultural bias. As a matter of fact I would make the argument that white folks are more likely to date and marry outside their race and Christians too.

I believe this has to do with what we see of the worse neighborhoods most of these people live in poverty and when u see a similar looking people u assume they must all be the same.

People need to stop judging by skin colour. Working security at hospitals for the last few years i can confirm one thing. Most of the people who cause us problems are white males.

Trudeau going to have to establish a DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) program in Canada now - people don't realize there is probably thousands like her scattered across the country mostly in the major cities. They all want similar relief from potentially being deported if they are caught. I have no problem giving it to them since most of them are young but I would enforce the condition that they have to resettle in Manitoba, Northern Ontario and the Atlantic Provinces - areas in Canada experiencing population decline, aging demographics and high job vacancy numbers. We don't need people who didn't follow the rules further overcrowding cities like Toronto and Vancouver where the cost of living is rising every year.

It's winter, i walk into town along a slush covered road, down a long hill - a woman struggles uphill carrying several bags of shopping - wearing a full burqa..the wind is almost blowing her backwards and she is struggling - my thoughts are 'cumbersome outfit for this climate'. i walk past the local synagogue, some Hassidic men are chatting outside most have one hand on their head, one man is picking his hat up and brushing slush off from it - my thoughts are 'im glad im wearing an elasticated beanie in this wind'\nlater on i walk past my local nightclub and there is a long line of young girls wearing very short skirts, high heels and sleeveless tops - with matching blue skin, my thoughts are twofold, first - hypothermia someone should tell them, second is -fashion, it may look cool in Naples, but this far north - in winter?...ridiculous.\npoint is, people wear clothing for various reasons, religious, cultural, social or just comfort. they dont choose to wear items because they desire to intimidate, but because it appeals to them, or their sense of self or cultural or religious identity.\nwe should respect that.\nif a piece of clothing intimidates or frightens you so much, you may have some deep psychological issues.

Hello, I just watched your video. Three years after you made it. I hope you are still with us and a very belated Welcome. Many people throughout the world seem to have so many stereotypes about Americans. Whether it is good or bad there typically is some truth in a stereotype. Overall it seems like you are enjoying yourself and no matter what there is no place like home. I would think no matter what your current situation is you still miss Canada as I would miss the United States if I were to move to Canada. \nA couple things you mentioned in the video were not correct and as with anything there may be a little truth in the matter but yet still incorrect.\nThose who do not have health insurance are not charged or taxed $150 monthly. There is a provision in the affordable care act (ACA) that penalizes certain individuals who make above a certain dollar amount. The amount is either $150 or $300 for the entire year. I concur any monetary penalty against anyone for not having health insurance is outrageous. I could be wrong but I believe this aspect of the ACA was never implemented under President Obama and it was indefinitely suspended or revoked by President Trump. I also feel like I need to address your thoughts about the United States all about war. I believe the American people are like most other people and want peace and civility. The government and major defense contractors have differing opinions at times. Of course there is plenty of people who are war hawks but they are in the minority. Most of us are absolutely sick of war. We currently have been at war for almost 19 years. That's six complete world war 2's in their entirety. \nI think you were being awfully generous when you said obesity is on par with the rest of the world!! Unfortunately there is far to many fat people here and the problem is only getting worse because the media says be happy and proud you are fat. Celebrating obesity is absolutely insane and it sends the wrong message to young people. If a close one is fat of course I love them but I also tell them privately that they are a walking heart attack. It's more than OK to accept someone the way they are but as a friend or family member you doing them a disservice by not mentioning their obesity. \nI'm sorry if you feel I'm being to harsh or critical. I think it is a wonderful thing to share the world's longest border with such a great nation as Canada. I have always thought Canada was like the United States fraternal brother or sister. We are very much alike with a few beautiful differences that distinguishes from one another. It doesn't appear that you upload videos hear anymore but I hope you get the opportunity to read this. I learned something new today from watching this documentary, the fact that they actually named a town & a park Africville in the great white north. Some people are naive while others are not when it comes to racism. The very fact of the world has been conquered & dominated with the white supremacy mentality leave very little to be surprise that Canada had slaves. I think from what I've come to understands is that having slavery for 250 yrs most white Canadians will pretend to not be racist, but it's like those two kids in your class the one who had the paper thrown at him & the one who did it doesn't act like he did anything & the rest are just as bad because they saw who did it but are complicit by not saying anything. No one wants to be the rat, but at the same time they all know why the one kid that threw the paper did it & the one that had it done to them knows exactly why.

Most people have a racial bias. It happens naturally. That’s why we have to educate ourselves.\n\nIf you had the same race commit a crime over and over, your brain naturally tries to associate the bad people with that race.\n\nWe had all the pictures of previous shoplifters at the store. The majority of shoplifters were from 1 race. A lot of workers can’t distinguish different people of the same race. So they start associating similar features to crimes. \n\n\n\nI have my employees confuse me for another black employee. And I also confuse them for another.

They, most of the time watch us while there kind do the stealing. I say let them watch, I don't steal. Those people have been trained to think that way.

The Sikh's are entirely opposite of the Muslim population. Although many Muslims do work and contribute, it is still a high percentage that depends on welfare benefits. The Sikh's have a great work ethic and they will help you along in setting a great example of a good worker, in case you are lacking in that. Most Sikh's are very high earners, millionaires even, owing to HARD WORK. In my entire life, I never met a SINGLE lazy Sikh. They are very enterprising people.

I'm Muslim and I must say that the Sikhs are one of the most faithful and nicest people ever.

That woman is so extra. She is not in danger. And if Muslims feel some type of way about the west it’s because they are alienated by the way they are treated by racists and governments and law enforcement agencies in the west and are upset about the role western governments play in meddling to create instability and oppression in Muslim majority countries. That doesn’t mean we don’t also love and appreciate the lives and opportunities we have in the west. But our freedoms are not the same as white westerners. Also, I firmly believe it’s mostly a government issue. Most people, including white westerners are good people. We all, everyone of every race and religion get caught up in government propaganda and agendas that literally every government in the world is guilty of both east and west. No government is perfect. I mean his approach was more close to our prophet Mohammad. Than most of the Muslim. Who will get angry . I don't blame them it's hard to be calm when someone shouting at you for no reason. It’s sad too see all this negatives comments y’all don’t know how hard it is for immigrants Unless you are one you can never relate the presidents thinks we are all rapist killers and bad people but that’s not the case yes there might be some bad people but I guarantee most of us are good people who come here too work really hard so our family’s and children can have a better life I don’t understand why we get so much hate all we come too do here is work hard and also we do jobs that no other people will do let’s put an example I don’t see any white American or black African American working in construction yes there might be some but most don’t like working outside in the heat because it’s hot and because it’s a hard job look at el Paso shootings you tell me who did that shooting ? It’s really sad too what this country has become too and the president is very wrong too and if your with the president you’ll should be ashamed of yourself.

I think when most people use a racial term its usually to get a rise out of the person they're arguing with. I dont think they are going to KKK meetings just because they say a racial slur lol

It is NOT just race. Depending on the bag or backpack you carry, you get followed, which I hate. And I'm not black. My mother also gets followed everywhere in every Macy's store. It drives me crazy. It's really annoying, because I think it's because my mom has big purses and I usually have my art backpack. \n\nWhen I'm in a different town, I get followed in Walmart all the time. If I forget my shopping bags, I will empty my backpack so I can use that to put all my items in at the end of the purchase.\n\n In Best Buy, I'm lucky to get anyone to help me at all!!! I have to hunt someone down, and most of the time, they don't know anything anyway. Target: I have a hard time finding anyone to help me as well. I haven't really done a social experiment, but sometimes I just have my shopping bags and fill them as I shop and I won't carry a purse.\n\nLocally, I don't get followed because my family and me are known in that town. We know a lot of people and my face is everywhere. I never get followed. But out of town Walmart, I get followed in certain stores. It irritates me immensely, especially since I buy a lot of make up and the make up department is cramped they way they block the end of the aisles. It makes it really hard to turn your cart around when other people are in the same aisle. Then they close the make up aisle even though they have tons of cameras all over!! \n\nOverall, I don't know WHERE these backhanded compliments are coming from. I normally hear stuff about my weight. Nothing about race ever. Nor do I ever hear others talking about race. Weight seems to be the hot topic always.\n\nI also find it weird that the one guy feels like he needs to apologize!
