I live in New York. Been wanting to leave for 10 years now because I wasn't able to have a social life here. I met a friend that is Canadian and thought leaving the the US might be better. I would like to give Canada a chance.

Please dont put down Canada, I worked for a guy that was from Brazil, he would always complain about Canada, he had a successful business here. You are mostly talking about the big cities. I will bet that things haven't changed that much is your small town in Saskatchewan. Too many people are gravitating to the large cities. The wealth of our nation was built with our farms, mines, forests, etc. Trades people and farmers built this country. Too many people want to sit on their ass in front of a computer instead of getting busy. For those immigrants who can't make a living in Canada, it is time to go home. Some who have the skills and attitude will do well. Other won't. We need successful people, not another user of the food banks. Not enough people are being sent back. Also, I don’t feel sorry for them because when my parents came to Canada, they went through the proper channels and filled out all the paperwork they needed to.
