You're free to judge but I have not seen any Indian/ Asian/ Latino immigrant homeless. Indians bring high skill in IT, banking and medicine which Canada desperately needs. Latino/ European ethnic immigrants also work very hard (construction/ farms etc.) and support their families and children. These basic skills keeps Canada running. Immigrant children are the highest number of graduate degree holders. Students line up in hundreds because they are willing to work and make a mark. They stand in freezing weather for hours just to try their luck. That's dedication. The only homeless I have seen are Canadians/ Native Americans even when the govt. pays millions in welfare and development programs to get their life back on track. Also, all these immigrants pay thousands of dollars to come to Canada (Visa fees, plane tickets, moving expenses) so that they can pay taxes to Canadians. Why are you crying all the time just they are not into cold pasta?

Where i live , 90 percent of businesses are owned by non canadians. They only hire their own culture in most cases or they dont hire at all. They will leave you standing in line to pay until they are ready to help you, due to having only one worker.\nMy best advice is to start your own business if you can.

If these jobs are supposed to be for young Canadians or elderly why aren't they standing in the line. Nope, they are at home playing on their computers playing games and complaining foreigners are taking their jobs.

Stop this pretentious interviews. Go out and talk to people and see their struggles. Underemployment, housing un-affordability, discrimination-Canadian experience !!! The only jobs available for outsiders i.e not born in the country are low end jobs. You do not have Canadian experience… please stand in back of line !!!

Never mind. For one that leaves there are 50 in line waiting to immigrate to Canada. In a globalized world you can live where you feel more comfortable. Some Canadians and immigrants move because they can not stand those looong winters. Some move because they think Canada is too liberal. But at the end of the day , you must adapt to Canada. Canada, its weather and polices will NOT adapt to you.

I live in France since 2017, came from Romania and in all honesty my income is a lot higher here but that's because in my field of work there is an incredible shortage of manpower. For an appointment with my dermatologist I have to wait for about 6 months, no dentist or ophtalmologist takes in new patients because they're overbooked. There are waiting lines almost everywhere.. It's starting to look a lot like communist Romania where you had to stand in line for hours to buy bannanas..

Isn’t there a system where you stand in line and the government processes your paper work. My cousin has been sponsored by his parents and now me and we are waiting I think 11 years. Everything on his check list was checked off. I bet a small percentage are those on that same list to get it n but maybe not all their marks are checked off.

Love the socialist system of Canada!!! I imagine Canadians enjoy standing in long lines for hours (like the California DMV) and being treated like a prison inmate by government employees who don’t give a shit about providing good service!! Canadian here, and this video is right on the money for some of the most frustrating things about Canada! \n\nOur proudest achievement is our healthcare system, but up until recently, the government has been choking it little by little. Making it so difficult for any Doctor/Nurse to even consider finding work here (and making it impossible to afford getting a medical degree) because you are literally doing it for the love of the game at this point. \n\nEven if you become a specialist in a specific field (which pays really well compared to most careers here) it is unlikely any hospital will hire you. Our hospitals are only interested in making profits by pushing painkillers on Canadians, rather than hiring medical professionals to help fix them. If you become a family Doctor, it is a bit better, because you can open your own practice. But kiss your social life goodbye if you do! The most annoying part of this problem is some people blame all this on the fact that we have healthcare and assume a private American system would be better. Where the real problem is we need more workers and funding into our healthcare to make it better. Not making lives harder for poorer Canadians!\n\nWeirdly enough our Tax system issue didn't stand out as a problem to me until I left Canada and see how taxes are marked elsewhere! It blew my mind that I didn't have to do math when I visited another country and the way we advertise wages is purposely deceptive! In Ontario, we succeeded in getting a $14 hour minimum wage (only in Ontario and maybe one other province). Which sounded amazing until you realize that's $14 without tax... To compare, I was incredibly lucky in Toronto where I found a place for 750 a month and was earning $16 an hour. Sounded like more than enough for the cost of living, but after taxes I was pretty much putting more than half my monthly income in rent. On top of that I had to pay for student loans and other bills. \n\nBottom line, if you are wanting to move to Canada for our beautifully scenic environments, free healthcare, and a stable job? \n\nMove to Finland.

I want to know why most of the employees I encountered at the airport were mean/rude af ? I know this is anecdotal so I’m not going to take it seriously. It’s just what I vividly remember.\n\n4. I live in the DMV. It’s a very diverse area but there’s a lot of neighborhoods that are segregated but I’d argue that it’s more of an economic issue. It’s visibly noticeable as soon as you hop on the metro. Start on the orange line on the VA side, the crowd is bright. But if you stay on long enough, go through DC and end in MD, it gets dark. I’ve lived here most of my life and it’s always been this way unfortunately.\n\n5. I need to go back to Canada to try that tap water. Y’all made it sound so good ?

I had a similarly friendly crossing from the USA into Canada a few years ago, went back and forth several times in a week. Best part was standing on line behind the guy seeking asylum from the USA and wanting to be a political refugee in Canada, because he felt the internet wasn't safe.

Shoppers Drug Mart employees are the absolute worst in my experience for racial profiling. They opened a new store so had hardly any customers, I was shopping for painkillers where there are numerous drug types, brands, strengths (mg), styles (capsules, gel cap, tablets), amounts and prices - all in small writing which takes quite a bit of time to disseminate and decide upon especially when your eyesight is poor as mine is. After a while I looked up and noticed a security guard standing in the aisle watching me. I was shocked and confronted him, asking if he was watching me, to which he quickly denied and left. Was so disturbed I quickly left the store without buying anything and refused to return to that location. Another time I was shopping for an eyebrow pencil where the colour name was printed again in small letters so was spending time to find the one I wanted amongst all the different browns. After I had chosen and started to walk past their counter, their staff member stood with her arms folded shaking her head. This was very alarming as I had shopped in that store since it had opened! So after effectively being accused of shoplifting a $3 eyebrow pencil for no reason other than being black, at the cash line, a white guy sprints out the door carrying a $50 box of diapers! Whatever they are selling at Shoppers or anywhere else is not worth my freedom. They have no right to profile me when it is never going to be me stealing. There are many, many black people who just do not do those kinds of things. We are not all criminals. I have worked in lots of stores and the majority of people stealing are the majority of people in Canada - the white people. Stop living on stereotypes, Shoppers Drug Mart and don't pooh-pooh people's experiences when they call and complain!

This is the most biased Canadian propaganda I've ever heard. I was standing in line at city hall in Calgary (paying my past due power bill which I can barely afford, even though I make 40k a year.) and watched a flood of immigrants in front of me claiming their 100% free bus passes. Apparently, you need an authorisation letter from welfare to claim your free bus pass, yet, none of them seemed to have documentation that matched their id. One guy picked up six free bus passes with a stack of letters that didn't match his name, or, even surname, at all. The cashiers seemed like they had just given up and handed over the bus passes saying, "next time make sure the person named in the letter is here to pick it up in their free pass person." <sigh>

It's a lie! I am white and I have been followed many times by security in stores. I have also been called names by natives. Standing in line at the grocery store a native was getting mad and making comments to his family because I have blue eyes. I guess they really hate the blue eyed white boys.

When we learn to look upon one another with compassion regardless of their race, religion or personal belief's and look instead at the heart of an individual, only then will we make strides to heal and to connect one another across Canada and the world. There's an overwhelming racism borne of intolerance for one another and intolerance is borne in my opinion often of fear. When we don't understand someone, we do tend to make up something to line the box that we force someone to live from but would never accept the same for ourselves. If you see someone being berated, being treated differently then you yourself would accept, you owe it to yourself and to the one being hurt to stand up and to intervene.
