These are east Indians coming from the UK. They had US visas from the UK. What is Canada to do when they are in transit passengers from the UK and given fake or real but seems fake US visas. As a former immigrant who has been a Canadian citizen for over 40 years I am mindful that too many immigrants get into the country too easily - not like in my time when I had to actually qualify to come here. We, the older generation (including immigrants), helped to build Canada, but the newcomers just come here to take what they can. Canada's economy is about to collapse and fall into a recession. I immigrated to Canada in 1981 because I married a Canadian I should say French Canadian girl and it was just a better place for her to continue on with her background. We relocated to Ottawa which is bilingual and made it very easy for both of us to assimilate together. I moved back to the USA in 2006 to help my sick brother and move back again to Canada in 2016. I came back for many reasons. The political Edge in the united states, the guns out of control, the increased crime rate daily, in just too many people everywhere. Now I was living in the Tampa Bay area and a lot of the people come from out of state and out of country especially in the winter to spend their cold months in the sunshine. Some things I miss in the United States comes usually down to the cost of living. Unless you get sick. And I miss living by the Gulf of Mexico. Except during hurricane season. I prefer living in Canada only because it's a slower easier paced social environment. It has nowhere near the political stress that the United States has where it can almost be violent. Actually, where it has been violent. Revisit January 6th. Out of control guns with hot-headed men mostly can force you out as well and back to Canada. Canada's social structure and environment supersedes the United States tenfold. And of course as we get older, Healthcare is a priority. I'm thankful there's a place like Canada close to where I was born or I can spend the rest of my life enjoying it as opposed to looking over my shoulder constantly. I also find that Canadians have a huge appreciation of warm months. So many people are outside even when they are eating at restaurants. Because of the warmer months are so short, Canadians really take advantage of enjoying it and those months are never taken for granted. Winters in Ontario, like here in Ottawa, can be very cold once January and February come around. But once you make it into the middle of march, you can almost smell spring in the air and somewhere on the way. But there are those dreaded 8 weeks of oh my God ?

Someone should let them know that so called better life is not waiting for them in Canada at least. We have plenty of our own political tensions, we're taxed to death, probably have the worst health care system in the world, extremely high cost of living, everything is expensive, the only jobs available are part time, crappy overpriced food, a housing crisis and brutal winters every single year.. Nothing but pissed off, miserable people here. Many Canadians I know have moved to India and love it. Come if you like but I bet you'll wish you hadn't, especially when Trudeau won't let you go back, not with your money anyway.

I’m not a crazy Trumper when I say this, but IMO you all should put a retraction or correction. I come to TLDR for fair and unbaised news. My main concerners are human decency and the chance that a legal immigrant will get caught up in the mix.\n\nFirstly, i am concerned we will return to the concentration camps of the 1900s and the people in them wont have adequate supplies and support ehile they wait to be deported.\n\nSecondly my concern is for those on a green card or other form of legal immigration getting caught up in the mix and not being let go. I guess this also includes children of people here illegally who were born in America.\n\nFinally i think we need to stop thinking of asylum seekers as illegal immigrants. If you have come here and submitted the proper paperwork to be here then you should be allowed to stay until your paperwork has been processed.

This lady had to come the correct way so why should someone else be able to do it illegally?? Try to waltz into Mexico and think you can get away with whatever you want to do. Youd be unalive in a weeks time

The law is the Law.. come legit or don't come at all! Nah we ain't playing that shii no more! She did what she had to do become a citizen, and doesn't respect anyone including family who didn't do the right thing like she did.. she's NOT An ENABLER!! People sneaking in and invading our country, family or not should be intolerable! Imagine if somebody snuck in your home and squatted there would you say the same thing.. oh its cool??

That's ok why? they can go stand in front of their public officials and fight for change,, think about all those strong men and women putting all that energy into standing and fighting for change, just like black people we get out in the streets and protest. This was a open invitation to allow those who don't qualify to come here. However if you are coming from countries that are suffering from hunger an war they should be allowed to stay

Are we talking about a mass deportation of people who came into this country illegally? The funding and the resources are the problems. Trump is not going to be able to deport as many as he proposes. If some of them have been here and started an American-born family, then they should get special consideration, but if it's decided they get deported it's really not the fault of the government, it solely rests on the shoulders of those who come in our country and break our laws. If the idea is to become an American Citizen breaking the law is not the first thing to do to swear allegiance. It's confusing. My hope is that we get this issue behind us with fairness and compassion, without sending the message that you can just come here without due process.

The penalty for Illegals should be financial, not removal. I don't think we should limit the number of immigrants, full stop. Yes, they need to get paperwork to be here, and that should be part of the process. If you're illegal, come forward and get the paperwork to be here, then pay restitution by an added 5% tax every year moving forward for every year you were here illegally.\n\nRemoving even 5M undocumented citizens creates an employment vacuum that will hurt our economy. Why hurt our economy when you can boost our economy through billions of extra tax revenue.

I voted against trump….but if they deport one they should deport all….it was the Hispanics that voted for trump that helped trump get elected, it was their self hatred that made them vote for trump now they should feel the results of what they did…in fact trump and his people should go also for the Hispanics that entered this country illegally and later became citizens through any kind of means such as marriage, or being sponsored by their own kids….that includes musk and melania according to reports they entered this country illegally…..and what about the Asians? there are more Asian illegals than Hispanics in this country they voted for trump now they should also be deported….Muslims are another group….trump should follow his son’s in law advice annex the Gaza Strip to Israel “ it is a good beach property”….now let’s speak about women, abortion and other rights like the right to vote….I don’t care if trump takes all of their rights away this is what they voted for…finally blacks they also voted for trump knowing that white supremacists would be free to do what they dreamed of doing…they should go for their wildest fantasies ….when blacks voted for trump they forgot about blm….I guess that is what they wanted….when blacks come out in the streets to protest the way they are treated we should leave them alone….same with Mexicans and Palestinian Americans, women….you all are on your own…
