The Irish, Scottish and Germans then established their bases where they could more easily integrate into their new societies….The Italians and Portuguese and Greeks and other Euros set up shop in the 50's 60's and 70's…Most of them lived among their own communities with familiarity…Same for all the Asian and African, S.American, Carribean immigrants and others ever since…. They may stay a generation or two in these communities, but children of immigrants lean to living wherever suits them. It's like the evolution of immigrant societies. This is happening all over the world at this moment, and people of all races ,creeds and colours are complaining of other groups of peoples of all races, creeds and colours moving into and sometimes engulfing their communities.\nSome communities have been Gentrified…Do we shake our fists in the air and scream ' Damn those young professionals!!?' Other communities have been inundated by hordes of Seniors. It wouldn't surprise me if the blatant racists commenting on this site didn't suggest Euthanasia in such cases, or perhaps loading them onto ice-floes and tugging them out to sea. If you're not happy, MOVE! If you can't adapt, or if you can't see that we're really all the same, all wanting the same things in life, or if you don't realize that most people from these countries are actually really nice and worth knowing, well don't go away angry, just go away to wherever suits you. Perhaps there's an Ice floe out there for you somewhere.

The dude complaining about the volunteers for social services work getting paid is redic. This is work and to maintain it getting done consistently and as often as needed you need to pay peers or employees for their time and work. Yes some people will hold to volunteer work, I do volunteer work myself. But if you're volunteering you're more likely to call out for silly reasons or not work as hard and then you end up short staffed and people not getting the help they need. I have worked in these encampments, got paid, but provided the camps with harm reduction supplies, food & water, and toiletries as well as helping people call Central Intake and references to medical support. That is still work, I would usually walk about 10km a day with a heavy bag on my back and I'm poor disabled person myself. \n\nAs well as addressing unhoused folks using substances, would you want to go to detox while not having a home? It feels absolutely horrible and getting sober when you don't have a bed to shower in, a toilet to use, a shower to clean yourself up in, is really f*cking hard. A lot of people start using substances like meth to help them survive as well, needing it to stay up at night so you don't get attacked at night sleeping. Don't shame substance use, but especially substance use with the unhoused.

If I was Prime Minister. I would Ban the immigrant Visa program for the next 10 years. I would deport anyone who has overstayed there welcome (those with expired visas) or are here (illegally) and now (not documented) \n\nThat alone would take many out of the shelters, homes, rentals, streets that should not be in the Country anymore. Gas / Diesel etc. \n\nI would build more housing / schools / retirement homes / hospitals / recreation centre's / Library and walk in Clinics. \n\nI would write a law that the roads in Canada must be fixed properly. Not just patched. \n\nI would raise the taxes on Multi Million and Billion Corporations and those that make $400.000 or more to pay a higher tax. While those that make less than $400.000 get taxed less. \n\nI would Lower the provincial taxes by 2% effective immediately and the Minimum wage across all provinces would be $17.75 an hour for full time workers (over 32 hours per week) with .25 cent yearly increases until 2030 to be reassessed. \n\nI would give Tax cuts to those who want to open businesses and build and sell Canadian Products to make sure Canadian Goods are affordable to make. Still have a profit to slow down overseas production creating more Canadian jobs for Canadian People. \n\nEvery Worker that works 24 hours or more weekly is getting Benefits making it mandatory for all types of business owners to make benefits available to the workers and ensuring the plan covers a minimum of 50% throughout the entire year. \n\nI would raise the pension to those who have worked 25+ years in Canada and remain in Canada as a retiree for a minimum of 6 months of the year 5% \n\nShrinkflation will stop. With major corporations getting fined if they don't smarten up and change the way the make and package goods. \n\nI would put a cap on Car insurance for those that have never been in an accident before and lowering the monthly cost by 10% \n\nCondo sizes would have to increase the square footages by a minimum of 10% of the national average to make sure that there is enough room and peaceful environment for those that live in those spaces. \n\nI would ban that you would have to pay additional for parking at every Rental property including lockers, that the property owners purchased during pre construction as well as lower the public parking costs nation wide in parking garages by 20% and cap it. \n\nI would Lower transit costs nation wide by 20% and cap it. \n\nI would bring back texts books and paper to schools so kids read more. Write more. Understand more. Learn more for those in grade 8 and under. \n\nI would ban every Pride event in Canada and charge people fines if they hang rainbow colored Canadian flags anywhere on any property including ban clothing with those colors on the Canadian Flags immediately. I have lived in canada my whole life. \nHere are the main hurdles:\n1. Cost of realestate and cost of living. You need white collar wages just to be able to rent, not buy, rent an apartment in most major cities. Cost of homes is insane as well.\n2. Jobs often pay low wages below what is needed to afford to live unless its white collar or trades working overtime hours. The jobs that do pay well often get hundreds of applications making your chances lower.\n3. Dentists cost an arm and a leg. The cost of it is insane unless you have a really good coverage plan from your job. \n4. Healthcare moves at a snails pace. Not good if you have a serious illness or disease.\n5. The climate overall sucks. Its not cold. Its ridiculously cold.\n\nMy advice: Be made of money. \nSeriously though, have a huge savings and have a long term financial plan. Getting jobs that pay a living wage here as newcomers here are HARD to get because they always want Canadian work experience. University education from other countries other than the US, UK, or Australia don't count here. Be prepared to live very humbly unless you are just made of money.\n\nI dont even want to live in canada anymore. I am almost 40 and have very little to show for it despite working full time jobs with overtime my whole life. Looking at going almost anywhere but here. The housing crisis and cost of living are the dealbreakers for me. You shouldnt need to be making $75k/year just to afford to RENT a decent apartment. Theres something wrong here.

And if you are super rich, perhaps you don't have to worry about the crazy rent or real property price in Toronto, but the crimes (like car thefts, spam) still won't let you sleep well at night

This is missing SOOOO much of the actual story of what is going on over here. There is a lot of corruption in our housing market fueled by faked incomes just for starters. That's not including the massive supply and demand crunch we are facing on multiple fronts from having too much people suddenly, to having not enough housing suddenly. For those curious, you can find some CBC marketplace videos that cover some of this from a couple years back. The banks have been caught f'ing around as well, what with pushing through mortgage requests that should never have been allowed to occur; and that's just what we know about. \n\nNo offense to anyone in this video, or anyone else like them. We know that a good large chunk of most of you are not at fault here with what's going on. But there are some people from all sorts who are all doing their own dirty little deeds, and they are culminating into the gigantic pile of BS that the rest of us now get to deal with. \n\nAnd make no mistake, what I am saying is not even close to the full extent of the BS going on. This is just one facet of it. There still is the universities mentioned that we need to talk about, whom have been fleecing internationals for years now. Or our employers who have gotten real used to having access to basically almost slave labor by comparison the wages and employees they would have to normally deal with. \n\nAnd again, none of this is being said to blame those who come here looking for a better life. If anything, I want to apologize for the BS you found here as well, that was well hidden by the BS masters who got you to come here. \n\nBut just like how oxygen feeds a fire without necessarily meaning to... well... let's just say that a downturn in applications is a really good thing for us right now. \n\nCome if you want, but don't come unprepared. While this is a great thing in general...\nIt doesn't benefit the country or the immigrants when things like housing and jobs and health care aren't in place to support this influx of people. \n\nThe thing is...Canada REFUSES to fix its own problems on its own. If the excuse is don't do this because of health care then when will the right time be? Canada's health care has been at dangerous levels for OVER 30 YEARS! Always working at or near peak with long wait times. Maybe in 30 more years this will be fixed?\n\nHousing is a problem because no one builds affordable housing. The system is fully corrupt. When you hear that 500k houses have been built...then odds are 99% of those were NOT affordable housing. Meanwhile well over 50% of Canadians REQUIRE affordable housing. So how many more years will it take to fix this problem when we're not even trying to address it?

I immigrated here back in 2019, by the time I became a citizen in 2023, I was just astonished at the level of immigration and international students. I hate how schools exploit them for cash, their education quality is so so bad, its unimaginable, and you can't blame the teachers even, each class is like 300-450 students. The quality of education is so bad in Canada, I don't know if it was good before but I can only imagine it was since these universities are well known here. Students loans have become a business for banks and lenders and I guess that gave the universities ideas on making a business out of exploiting poor country's wealth though international students.

If home prices drop because there is more homes being built that gives everyone an advantage. I don't even know what percentage of people own 100% of their home but I don't think it's that many, and that's going to drop significantly as well. I know there's tons of studies done yearly on the effects of stability on children and mental health, good grades, good health. All these things generally improve with safety and stability and it's consistent. If you are someone who can actually afford to buy your own house, you could just buy a cheaper house and invest the rest in something else. It's actually better to have diversity than to sit there hoping no one builds houses so you can maintain some high value property. And this likely will lead to a collapse as well. It's unavoidable in the long term

I have moved around the US quite a bit (I've lived in every time zone except Mountain, including Hawaii). Moving to a totally different place is always exciting to me. Even if you eventually find that it is not where you want to stay forever, it is worth the experiences, and the growth you get from having to learn new things. If you are considering the US, some of the things you don't like about Canada, is probably true here as well. It seems like you can probably make more money down here, but the cost of living is still expensive here, and many, many Americans also live paycheck to paycheck. I wish the best for you.

Before moving please make sure what you would be doing in a new country for living? Will you be able to manage until you pickup your earnings. You have kids!! will you be able to pay for their educations, house rents, medicine if necessary etc. so on and so forth..\n\nBut one thing i wanted to check many Indians are moving to Canada for a better life, i''m little surprised to see you moving out of Canada, why don't you guys try jobs in IT companies? They pay well and it should solve your major problems, the winter thing you can control by using heaters and Government thing i think it would change after sometime.. Very interesting video, all was well explained. But the situation it's the same here in Europe, and maybe is even worse, in Italy you die of hunger! Salary is so LOW and never changed in more than 20 years, and rent of houses is crazy! It's insanely high and with your salary you can't pay the rent (even if you are a doctor, nurse etc..) you don't have money to buy an house and if you pay a rent you can't spend money on anything else. People here live thanks to their parents savings (who has this luck). The situation is very bad, young people can't find a job because there are no jobs available, it's really hard to live. Cities are dirty and degraded. In public health care you have to wait months and years for a visit, you are forced to go private and pay a lot of money. So I think the situation is serious everywhere. If you know a place where you are paid well and there are no such problems let me know.

Im a Canadian, currently living in Vancouver but I've lived in many countries and will expat again. What it boils down to is if you have a good professional job that pays well, quality of life here is fantastic (among the best). Great schools, clean, great for young kids, and unparalleled acces to the best nature in the world mintues from a world class city. But life gets difficult quick when you cant afford anything. All these other complaints are blown out of porpotion (politics, drugs, etc...) by many and mostly don't really impact most people. In my experience, most people really leave because of better pay in the US, or because Europe has more culture, or asia has many more contries to explore close, or has LATAM has better weather etc...

I'm no longer a religious person, don't believe in any. What shocked me about the west is the insanity to support the genocide in Gaza, it is so much in your face and one side that on principle alone, it is digusting. It is one of the reason, as well as the economic collapse that is taking place that has me questioning if I want to support any of this. Wish you all the best in your move! I just not sure where I want to go, but it will be some place I never have to deal with the West, supporting is financially and deal with winter for that matter.

Be living in Toronto for over 20 years. I feel it is getting worse every year.\nCanada is well known for high salary, good benifit and health card. That attracts immigrants from all over the world especially third world countries. \nBut the living cost is insane compare to early 2000s. If government can't handle the housing problem, they should not open border for more immigrants. More ppl squeezed in a city will get rental higher and higher. If you don't have a good job with decent pay, what gonna happen? Homeless or crime rate increase.....\n\nThe government officials are so dumb no matter which party, they are selfish and stupid, they dont give a f about true tax payers and hard working ppl.

I don't understand why strict islam believers choose non islamic countries to settle in. There are so many countries in middle east, feels like half the countries have a muslim majority. Why not be comfortable living there. At the end of the day it is important to feel safe and also have a sense of belonging to where u settle down. How can a muslim ever feel that when prayers over loudspeakers are also banned. I feel like many muslims dont value their religion enough to settle in a muslim country and then when they face backlash in non-muslim country they start behaving like a victim. One cannot expect to be in an entirely different cultural environment and still force a different culture to their children. It restricts the children from integrating well in the country. When a parent from a different culture decides to raise children in a country which have a different culture, it is obvious that children will be exposed to this other culture. If that is not okay to parents, then they should not do children in a different country but rather in a country where they are blessed with their own culture. There is a choice for most people, and I am glad that you all chose it. Its beautiful to see people living in peace and in harmony with their religion. I love watching you all and hopefully you are able to encourage more muslims to choose an Islamic country to settle in, rather than being victims or having to fight in Non- Islamic countries due to western influence. It makes perfect sense to want to get away from the things you've mentioned. The world is not the same as it was even 10 years ago. That's the last time I visited home. (Abbotsford, BC) I've lived in the States for many years now and boy was I shocked how things have changed here in Canada. I realize you and your family don't use Bible, but just to give you a biblical perspective on things that very well may parallel scripture from the Quran, at 2 Timothy 3:1-5 it says... 1 But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power; and from these turn away. \nYou may be able to get away from the moral decline of where you live now, but honestly, these things are going to be world wide eventually if they aren't already. But there will be a time when God (for me his name is Jehovah), will step in and fix things. In the meantime, It's awesome you are putting your family first. South Africa. Not a Muslim country but you can freely practice Islam. Mosques all over with athaan being called out loud. Salaah facilities almost everywhere including malls. Halaal food and meat found everwhere and is easily accessible. The muslim communities are very welcoming as well. And South Africans are very freindly.Many islamic schools and after programmes and most importantly we don't support Isreal. We are in full support of a free Palestine. Our winters are for about 4 months of the year and not as bad as Canada( i think) and the summers are great. We might be at the bottom of Africa but we have eveything and anything you can think of. If i may suggest you to go check my country Indonesia or my neighbor Malaysia. You can hear calling for pray 5x a day, mosques are everywhere, halal food also everywhere. A lot of choice of education for your children, generally or Islamic ones. And most important thing is the people and government against genocide. We don't have any diplomatic relationship and never acknowledge the state of IsNotReal. Also 1 more thing, living cost here is relatively low compare to Canada or any other countries. The definition of a canadain is an american without a gun and public health care... otherwise it is hard to tell the difference.... Canada has almost 9 months of winter and 3 months of bad skating... The province of Quebec which is still part of canada (don't tell them that) has the language police to be as anti-american and any democratic as possible, they only tolerate english if it is in US$ and tax other taxes with the most expensive bloated government of any state north of Mexico. The cartels are envious... all things purchased are imported (except animals and greenhouse tomatoes)are american with the exchange rate of almost 33%... If you are a doctor or nurse or medical specialist trained in western medicine like Europe, Australia, etc. You almost have to start over.... SAD. Like América, big cars/trucks are king, public transit is not a thing... yeh there are some buses in a few major cities, more of an after thought... The only positive thing about coming from another country climate is you have something to compare with.... Personally i was born here so where do i go... A few friends have travelled to the US but have not returned... its warmer in Texas i guess... Canadians are suspicious of Asians because they come with money and buy up property esp in Vancouver/Toronto hence the concern... As for you making friends, you seem to be very Americanized, speak English well and not so traditional except for being married... you would make a lot of people comfortable among traditional Canadians... just my after thoughts...

You nailed it Sonia, me and my family of as been living here for about 17 years and yes we have been through it all, so I could actually feel the clock turning as you spoke. I would like to add one thing though which you are right about that, if you are planning to come and start now, it definitely is not the time to come, 17 years ago was a different time and I can also tell you that we feel the pain yet even now to make ends meet. Honestly, life was good until a few years ago but now the value is declining to a great extent, again as a disclaimer this is my personal experience and would probably apply differently to different individuals. In short, as you said, if you are doing well somewhere else, don't hit the axe on your own feet by coming here.

It's astonishing to see so many Canadians voicing serious complaints about their country. More to hear complaints coming from immigrants who then left Canada in disgust and found better lives elsewhere is even more astonishing.\n Yet I warn everyone else. It's okay for Canadians to complain about their own country. They have every right. As for immigrants or immigrants who left Canada, well, they were there and experienced the downside, so they have legitimacy.\n But for any other non-Canadian, including me, keep our mouths shut and say nothing. Let only the Canadians speak here. If you non-Canadians are foolish enough to open your mouth, a hundred angry Canadians will come here to loudly denounce you and maybe swear profanities for demeaning their perfect nation, Canada, and that all these complaints really don't exist and are made up.

I immigrated to Canada in 2010, and here are my experiences inside and outside Canada. I am grateful for a good education; having a Canadian passport opened up many opportunities in other countries to build a higher-level career. However, if I had known the amount of stress, health, and financial damage that I had to endure, I wouldn't have chosen to come to Canada. I would have remained in the US or EU countries where I could achieve even more without suffering to the level I did here. \n\nMisleading immigration promotion: The government-sponsored Canadian immigration program oversells what Canada can offer. It withholds information on the cost of living, chicken-and-egg problems like Canadian work experience is required to get a job at the same level as you are in, Canadian credit history is required to rent a proper apartment, Canadian education is required to secure a high-level job, etc. \n\nHiring process: I knew the Canadian system was not ideal for immigrants over a decade ago, but it got so bad now that even the born citizens are unable to survive. The Canadian government and employers lack a basic understanding that ambitious, high-achieving people immigrate to other countries for high-level positions using proper channels. It's ridiculous to see that Canada uses a point-based system to choose highly qualified personnel to enter their country yet expects them to pursue low-paying entry-level or labor jobs just because they have brown/black skin. At first, I thought having a Canadian degree and experience might help me get high-level jobs, and I didn't think how I spoke or looked would matter when I had high credentials to show off. So, I got my masters & Ph.D. from the Univesity of Toronto, which consistently ranks #1 in Canada. I have a bachelor's from a prestigious university in Asia and had a high-competitive, well-paid federal government job in another country. Still, none of that was recognized in Canada, and I had to volunteer for over 6 months, 10 to 12 hours/day, in a research lab that led to a funded PhD program. I worked even harder during my Ph.D. with many accomplishments, like 40+ research and leadership awards, internationally recognized scientific discoveries, and innovative technologies. I checked all the above and beyond in various domains (research, teaching, leadership, business, engineering consulting, collaborations, etc.). Yet, employers couldn't see past my race, gender, age, etc., and refused to give me the opportunity at the level of my qualifications. Luckily, I managed to secure short-term work in the UK & the US, and it changed even how I see myself. I was highly respected for my credentials, given higher positions than I applied for, and paid 3-4 times more salary and benefits. Of course, bias is an integral part of every society, but my race, gender, age, etc., were not as big of an issue to begin my career at the mid-career stage in these countries as opposed to Canada. \n\nHealthcare: Access to healthcare was another big challenge for me. When I moved to Canada in 2010, due to extremely low temperatures, I developed hives all over my body, my eyes got red, and I coughed for many months. The doctor said there was nothing wrong with me and refused to give me any medication. It took us years to get a family doctor, and we got one through my personal network. In 2015/2016, I developed an autoimmune disease, and my eyeballs popped out. As of today, I did not get to see an eye specialist as they have only 1 specialist in the area, and the waiting time is for years for the first consultation. Every time the family doctor told me that I had iron deficiency, even when I insisted that they should run additional tests and they cleared, they were flagged. The doctor never diagnosed my autoimmune condition. Luckily, during my short-term work in the UK, I saw competent interns who completed my care. NHS is poorer than the medical system in Canada... they are understaffed, don't have hospital beds after surgery, or don't have stock of paper gowns, yet the staff are highly competent and caring. Within 1-2 years, they did complete diagnosis by sending me to various specialists, completed eye surgery, and even found a lifelong condition that was preventing me from realizing my full potential. Following, in the US, the doctors confirmed the diagnosis of all the conditions within 1-2 months and put me on two small pills for life. It has dramatically changed my life, and I have even more admiration for the medical profession. While in Canada, I suffered for over a decade, and every time, I was treated as a hypochondriac and never given a single prescription. \n\nQuality of life: Big cities like Toronto are mainly affected by high crime rates, overpopulation, cost of living, low employment, low salaries, etc. A few months back, there was a huge auto theft, and one of my contacts lost their Lexus car within minutes of parking. Despite being a scientist, I have no faith in politicians or individuals fixing these problems. The salaries are not increasing, but the taxes and cost of living are on the exponential growth curve. The ridiculous part is that Canada expects you to pay taxes even when you are not employed or living in Canada! I lived in London and Boston, and they offer a much higher quality of life and pay. \n\nGrowth potential: No wonder Canada, being a G7 country, falls at the bottom of the list in innovation, equal opportunities, economic growth, etc. It has a decent education system but, due to its inherent bias in the hiring process and monopoly of certain businesses, loses talented immigrants and highly qualified Canadians to the US, the UK, and EU markets. Unless there is a dramatic shift in policies, Canadians, especially new immigrants, cannot expect any positive experience in Canada except for being discriminated against and losing valuable time and money by being there.

what has been shared in this video is nothing that people are not aware of. Everybody knows that you have to do all the work yourself,no maids, cooks, etc. like India.These facts have been there for years, nothing new about them. If people want to got there for further education, it is different, but then Canada is not all that good as far as higher education is concerned, there are better countries to choose from with better weather conditions and better lifestyle and high class education. Who would want to live in a cold and inhospitable country, payig through your nose. Here in India, if we fall sick even with just cough / cold, we can go to the nearest doctor and get medicines, sometimes we can even just ask the pharmaists to help us to choose some medicines for pharmasist here are half doctors.\nEven our standard of living has become so good, that we don't even feel like shifting to a new country. We have metros, good buses both AC as well as non AC, good trains, good resturaunts, hotels, what is it that we don't have here?\nIt is always better living as a first class citizen in our own country, than living like second class citizen elsewhere. The attraction and the charm of living abroad is no longer there.\nOur country has improved so much and so fast in the last 10 years, we have good bathrooms in schools and other public places, which was not there previously. Only drawback in our country is the traffic and infrastructure, which will also become better, but will take time, because of our country's population.\nIn fact you will find servants and watchmen all coming to work in a bikes or scooters, which was unthinkable some years back. Their life has changed for the better, they live in rented flats/or on lease, their children study in good schools and so on, and they dress also so well, that you cannot differentiate between them and the people they work for.\nMany of the so called advanced countries do not have many well educated people like our country, the children there are not as knowledgeabe like Indian kids, their knowledge is limited to the town they live in, they don't know anything about the world outside.\nAnd now with the Khalistani terrorist living freely there it is all the more dangerous. And on top of it, it is a country ruled by a dumb Prime Minister, who has to give asylums to all good for nothing, ( and all only for votes) uneducated people whose only job is to sell drugs to kids and indulge in terrorism and threaten people.\nGood thing, you have come back, for there is nothing like sweet home.

Africans have been in America way before the age of technology...which we are in now. God Almighty well help us survive. Plus u live in the suburbs.....move to the city my friend......that will be different too. Nothing in life is constant but change. So if you don't like it move, but it's not that bad....ppl work alot just to survive the cost of living is different in America and so are the laws.

I'm from Asia and recently moved to Canada with my family to live a slower-paced and safer life. I've seen firsthand that the drug problem here is worse than it was back home, and they're being coddled with no plans to discipline or rehabilitate them. I asked my friends how I could defend myself and my family if a random drug addict broke into our house and stole our belongings; could I at least beat that person up until the police arrived? They said you couldn't because you'd be charged with assault. It's funny. \n\nApart from the crimes and exorbitant living costs despite living in a rural area, even Canadians who have lived in the country since birth are struggling to make ends meet. \n\nSome positive comments, Canada provided me with a work-life balance that was not possible in Asia due to the competitive nature of the corporate world. So I had time to spend with my family, and you don't have to travel abroad to see beautiful scenery. Canadians are also very accommodating and friendly, in contrast to where I came from, where people will not help unless it benefits them as well. The Canadians here are extremely friendly. So Canada is great because of its people, but I can tell you that the government consistently makes bad decisions about how to solve certain problems, such as drugs and harm reduction strategies. Another issue is that they do not recognize internationally trained professionals, which could have helped alleviate healthcare issues in our area, where we have many internationally trained nurses from the Philippines working as restaurant servers and janitors. We have doctors from Kenya who have to work as general laborers and in other odd jobs where they can use their profession and experience to help people. I am also an immigrant, but the government should strategically distribute us based on our qualifications. I chose a rural area because I don't want to add to the number of immigrants in big cities and instead want to contribute to the local economy by bringing my skills and experience to the pool. \n\nCanada is a wonderful country, and I continue to believe so, but the government must reward and do more for its people who are trying their best to make this country great.

My first visit to Canada (the so called Province of Quebec) was in 1972. If you've had asked me at that time where was paradise, I'd have answered to you that it was right here in Quebec and particularly in Montreal. I spent two years and went back home in 1974. I came back five years later in 1979 with the intent of staying and I did. I've spent decades of wonderful years here, and although I will leave next year, I will still remember with nostalgia the lost best decades (70s, 80s and 90s) I'd have spent in Montreal. I will remember the most beautiful city of the world and what it has become in the years 2000 amd counting. I remember how clean and well maintained that city was; how its people were among the most polite and civilized in the World; how life was so easy and affordable; how tolerant as a society the French Canadian one was and so on. Today, all that is gone, and when I take a look at the pile of trashes and garbages on the Ste-Catherine street and Saint Laurent Boulevard, it makes feel sick. In fact, Montreal has become a huge Third World city, and it is not better on a social point of view : you can't walk one block or two without being dragged by a homosexual or a lesbian. Speaking of lesbian and homosexual, you can't keep your work if you don't support the LGBT and or willing to date your boss. I am leaving next year to go back to my country where there is still a seemingly willingness to normalcy, but since the LGBT has managed to sneak its power everywhere, I am not holding my breath of a bright future overthere, but it's my home and I prefer to be there and deal with it.

Also to your point on the schooling system being better in India - a big laugh. Indian education is mostly about rote learning. Who cares if they teach subjects at a later age? QoL, safe society, clean air etc. are non tangible factors that are often overlooked. Yes, you have to struggle for 3-4 years, but the grass is definitely greener. And to your point related to having to do everything yourself - yes, they don't have cheap labour to provide you with that comfort, however, the products are well designed to convene on your own.

Well I had a kid this year in Québec, it was like 250$ for a single room or 20$ for double room or something. \nYeah some hospital would sell our informations to banks and diapers or food manufacturers... still cheaper than 3000$USD\nFor student I'd say if you are citizen of canada, it's like 10 time cheaper to study here than in US as far as I've seen.\nViolence is something really sad. I think she appreciates the health care as well with my talks with her over the years. She and I've been thinking this lately that Canadians have either changed or that Canadians are more friendly stereotype is going down .I think with more immigration, the cost of living and frozen pay and higher and higher taxes Canadians are increasing discouraged with politics and Canada in general. You noticed many of the woman mentioning health care and social programs as well? Police... We have a lot here as well maybe more so because of pay. The police are well looked after and paid well here. I think politics are getting more polar and more divisive here as well. The liberals have really really done a stellar job with two terms of sheer WEF CCP hogwash to destroy the country. Another general stereotype is that Americans are obnoxious and unpleasant isn't true as well. I'm in tourism and find most of the Yanks to be friendly and polite and GREAT TIPPERS. Ha many US servers don't like it when Canucks go over there because they're stingy. I think if everything works out without saying more, your country, like it or not , will ultimately start the big liberation finally of humanity hopefully for the better. You folks generally have a bigger love of freedom and you're ARMED. You have the mindset and the LEVERAGE to change the system. And we as Canadians are always looking and following the US why to the extent because things are a little different here I don't know... Obviously if he has a personal driver in Nigeria, then he is part of a very wealthy minority back home, thus his experience and life is much better back home. Canada has better equality in every way than Nigeria & in my own home country as well, if you want to be in a country that tries to give a decent quality of life for everyone equally and not just a high quality of life for a small minority, then he's right, stay in Nigeria. Canada will humble you if you don't have the competitiveness to earn a good life, it's a country designed to serve the masses, not just you personally. The doctor has many other patients to see, they don't have time to hang out with you buddy.

I live in Montreal Canada and as a refugee from Rwanda I have no other options but to stay. \nFor those who are from peaceful countries in Africa and well educated who make at least equivalent of $2000 in Africa, please do not come here.\nFor example: it's not easy to buy a house if you're single, you need to be married to be able to afford a house. Let alone buying a house, renting isn't also easy, the cheapest now for families is $1000.\nLet's say you make $20 per hour, this salary will never get you anywhere unless you're married or have other sources of income. You need a second job and the more you earn the more you're taxed.\nEven those high skilled people can only live comfortably only as working couple because as a single high skilled person even if you make more than $100k a year for you to live a good life here isn't easy. Yes of course, it's still better than the most african countries, but for those doing well in Africa already don't come here, come when you're hardly earning a living in Africa. \nNB: People who make $100k in Canada are less than 11% of the whole population. That's 4257000 million out of 38.7 canadians. The rest are considered low income generating workers who hardly afford things.

1. Canada's immigration is primarily skilled labour. Non- skilled labour is imported mostly from the Carribean countries especially Jamaica and you have to leave every year and come back in the next. So, that can be disruptive, but I've met Jamaican's who've been on those programs and done well as well as those who haven't.\n2. If you come to Canada illegally utakipata. Be prepared to hustle for long.\n3. Since Covid everything has become very expensive especially housing. \n4. The videos you've shown of people sleeping outside is because of an increase in the influx of refugees wanting to come to Canada. Refugee shelters are allocated money in the budget for what the Govt estimates will be the number of refugees they'll take in, but there's been an influx lately.\n- A point to note though, ALL refugees Canada received from Ukraine had jobs within 2 months. Why? very skilled labour.\n- Canada's refugee policy is much more lenient than in the US and thus most refugees have been coming to Canada even from the US. The US ones have since been blocked by an agreement signed by both countries.\n5. Are there jobs in Canada? YES, but they require certain skills. The good thing is that once you get one, its the beggining of good fortunes.\n6. If you have skilled qualifications, be prepared to start at a lower level than you are used to and claw your way up. Just don't expect to start where you left off. A Nigerian friend of mine who had performed several surgeries in Nigeria could not be hired until he went back to get certified here in Canada. He has since joined the medical field after going back to school.\n\nAll in all, research, research, research before you make any move.

Sweet sister, these people who talk like that just need someone to take their own frustrations out on....they don't bother to think about the facts before they say such things. It can be difficult to ignore it sometimes. You work hard, and you are constantly busy with work, school, revision, and a family.....yet, they think that they can dictate to you what kind of videos you should make and when. Making videos is in itself a lot of work, and sometimes you have to remake the video if it doesn't come out right. You're doing your best to help others who are wanting to relocate, and to support others who are having difficulties, as well as keeping up with your channels. He had 2 drivers and other domestic staffs in Nigeria but bet me and you he will be paying them slavery wage of 15 thousand Naira in a month,those are the kind of life he is missing in Canada cos there is dignity in labour there even if you want to do house help there they must pay you well and majority cannot afford it. I have come to understand that I don't need much in life once i can eat and pay my bills without knowing looking for loans to eat , pay school fees , accomodation what else .

I don't know why every other country wants to come to america like america is great. americans are working just to be broke. it's shame 1 job isn't enough to take care of ourselves. 2 jobs is just getting by. Not entirely accurate. It's pro-wealthy immigration here in Canada absolutely. It's citizenship for sale. Not necessarily wealthy in terms of really wealthy (like Switzerland) but it's definitely citizenship for sale, so if you don't have money, don't bother. Newcomers with medical and engineering expertise can't get jobs here in Canada, in spite of our healthcare system being on the point of collapse and our supposed hi-tech push. Regulatory boards here have made it impossible. Estimates are around 175000 qualified, internationally trained doctors and nurses who gave up trying to practice here and moved into other careers. Ukrainian doctors, for eg, with extensive trauma experience and willing to staff our emergency departments have been told they have to requalify by going to Canadian medical school to retrain for at least 4 years. Same story in engineering. By IT, our government seems to mean low-paid call center IT work, moving the IT sweatshop racket from India onto Canadian soil. If you can afford to buy a business - I believe the total business investment was 500 000 pre-pandemic - that's another way in. Not sure if thats gone up now. So many of our franchise businesses are essentially being used as citizenship tickets. The big ticket item: If you can afford 4 years of postgraduate or undergrad university program, or 3 to 4 year college program - and if you don't have the cash, loan sharks in India will distribute debt across the whole family for decades so one student can go . There us a very good documentary by an Indian filmmaker on the Canadian college/University recruitment drive in India and its consequences. Several of our colleges have student enrollments at over 70% of the entire student body, direct entry from India. Additional problems like grade inflation, different education standards, and outright fraud on ESL testing also mean that Indian students are not well prepared for school here. Many do not have enough English to succeed in their studies. They either need to spend for additional tutoring, take a qualifying year or two ESL (on top of the 3 or 4 program), or fail courses. Universities and colleges keep the tuition though. Honestly our colleges and universities are staying afloat because of Indian students. They're being treated like cash cows - and Indian recruiters are scamming the system, taking fees on their end with unsuspecting students getting falsified documents, or being told they passed their ESL when they didn't. It's a national disgrace. I'm a prof here, I've seen all of this firsthand. Your data may be correct, but the narrative you've constructed for it is not the real picture.

Hi Tyler, first time I have watched your video, you appear to be known on the tube channel. You may be a nice guy, but you really live in a bubble, if the horror around you , in your country , domestically and especially foreign, does not effect you or your life, you cannot have a point of reference. School shooting has become a norm in your country, foreign politics, I don't want to start with that, domestic politics and corruption beyond comprehension, I have visited the US numerous times and I like the people, well , I had the right colour , that helped. Canadian here with many American friends.....\nWe have frequent conversations about the fear of school shootings and the parents being concerned for their kids safety. The fact that you and your friends don't discuss it may very well be cuz it's an uncomfortable subject. The ones I've spoken with sit with me on the phone year after year and cry about having to buy the inserts for the backpacks having to tell their kids no flashy shoes cuz it'll give your location away if you move, needing to teach them how to hide to survive. \nI'm in a very large city in Canada and we have the drills here too, it's terrifying for us just having that part, I can't imagine being a parent in the states worrying about my kids surviving school day by day. And the risk doesn't end there, it's the start of day 216 of 2023 and the USA has had 424 mass shootings events in those 216 days (well 215 days cuz day 216 has literally just started). And that's just the events that have 4 or more victims. \nAdd on the ongoing war on women's rights, wanting to legislate who ppl can love and marry. Nope, your country is quite literally the laughing stock of the world and needs to evolve to bring itself up to par. Your education system is slowly your medical system is insanely overpriced and messy. No thanks. \nCanada has it's issues, I'll admit that, but the USA is like the kid in HS who was always high and doing stupid dangerous ?z the only difference is that kid eventually grows up, the USA doesn't seem to be able to ?
