I’ve lived in Canada for 30 years, but I became unemployed in 2021. This is the first time I’ve been out of work for more than a year and a half. I’ve applied online for over 20 jobs, but unfortunately I haven’t received any responses. This has never happened to me before. When I first came to Canada, it felt very safe—you could even leave your door unlocked at night. Things have changed a lot since then. Nowadays, there are many new immigrants and refugees, which has also changed the job market. I’ve noticed that many companies prefer hiring workers with student visas, because the government subsidizes part of their wages. That makes it more cost-effective for companies compared to hiring Canadian workers. I heard this directly from my former manager. As a result, some of my old colleagues now only get one or two days of work per week, while companies continue bringing in new employees.

If I remember right canada first house crises was in the 19’s something and back then they started making more houses to resolved this problem………………..,… And I am thinking that getting immigrants from only 1 country might not be good, because of countries, society mentality…………. One Example ; a-lot people in the USA are strong guns advocate, if Canada only get people from the US and because the majority of Americans love their guns, they may advocate to have more guns freedom in Canada and teach their children guns loving mentality. So it is probably best to mix individual from various country to minimize this outcome. ………………. In any case immigration are very important for countries whom don’t make a lot of babies, to survive and stay strong in today’s world where weak countries are getting crushed by strong countries……………… what make countries strong is their population, where government take taxes to pay and buy defensive guns to defend a country without the need to go into dept and sell its soul to powerful countries. I did not go to any university and yet I was able to understand this …

Apply for US citizenship, it will take a little while for the paperwork to go through but eventually it will. Anybody with half a brain and a good attitude can earn a six figure income and keep 80% of it as take home pay after tax (graduated tax brackets and standard deduction averages your rate much lower). Add in our investment options and minimal tax on that and you'll realize paying for medical insurance and your own retirement is not a big deal in fact you end up with a lot more money doing it this way vs big government.

I’m driving by a closed local grocery store the other night. The parking lot has 8 or so Indians playing cricket in the lot under the lights. You won’t regret not making it to the Miss Hockey Puck festival in balmy Churchill Manitoba either. Other protective measures should be immediate cancellation of all visas and green cards held by Canadians and their deportation from U.S. territory.

You know, as a Canadian, I started to watch this video with just a whole lot of blame and spite for Trump, but who knew that my eyes would well with tears thinking about the sad reality that is the present day (i.e. the detrimental impacts this will have for many and the generational relations that have crumbled).

Trump has destroyed trust in US allies, and it can ont be repaired easy. Trust can be destroyed in minutes, but it takes many years, maybe decades, before it can be gained again. It affects not only what US experiences right now with Canada and Mexico. Be sure that even Taiwan Australia and all other Asian allies are questioning right now if USA can be trusted. Imagine, Trumps breaks a treaty with Canada and Mexico which he personally has established in his first presidency and sold to his people as the greatest deal that has ever been archieved. Tells you a lot about US credebility. Trump is right now destroing world order which has been established mainly by USA after WW2.\nI heared, that there are rumors, that Trump might be a Russian KGB agent since 1987. I don't know if that is true, but it would explain a lot of why Trump is acting as he does - it is not in the interest of USA, pressurizing/blackmailing/offending/humiliating US allies and destroying US and foreign economies. i know Trudeau gets a lot of crap from people, but my god this was a hell of a speech. same with Bernie Sanders' speech. i got goosebumps and also trying to fight back tears simultaneously. my ex wife is disabled receiving social security, medicare, and medicaid due to being in a wheelchair and requiring consistent medical care and attention. she receives, and is expected to survive on, $800 a month and $300 in foodstamps. she lives in campgrounds which is 90% cheaper than rent, and still has to budget, struggle and go without a lot to make life work all while being in tremendous pain and reliant on help from others. This is all white mens fault. After WW2 they invited every male from the colonies to flood the country. Instead of operating like UAE, where they don’t give them citizenship and they have to leave eventually. The white man gave them citizenship and all of these Asian men went back to their motherland to get married, brought their wives over and the population multiplied. As a Canadian citizen I have always admired the US up until now, I sincerely wanted to move to the US to build homes and start up a company. But now am re-evaluating my decision because if this how the US treats their friends and allies, I really feel sad for their enemies. Why, why, why - with all the problems going on in the world right now to tackle - why would you want to start a trade war with your closest trading partner & most loyal ally? All these years US has a trade deficit of 1 trillion dollars every year. With tariffs we could have recovered 250 billion every year. That is a lot of money. Most of the world have had enough of Tramp, there is a lot of people around the world who will refuse to purchase American goods from now on and the diplomatic fallout will last for a couple of terms. Tramp will probably move to put tariffs on goods from the EU and their retaliatory tariffs will result in a 25% increase in the price of everyday products that the American public purchase. If tariffs are imposed on the EU that will mean at least 70% of American goods will have tariffs on them. Tramps next book will be, how to crash an economy within two months of taking office, so much for the art of the deal! This is a really pointless interneine trade war and the collaborator in chief getting cosy with Russia is another example of Tramps deranged priorities.

For those of you who don’t get a lot of real and unbiased news in Trump’s Greater America…watch these documentaries from Australia and decide for yourself. There is a lot of circumstantial evidence behind Trump stealing both elections. Trump’s actions have become more extreme, as he greatly fears the consequences for ALL of his Criminal actions. Watch ABC Australia’s three part Four Corners Documentary exposing both Trump’s comprehensive and long-standing links with Russia and their cyber-espionage during the elections in the US. Also explains Trump seeking unwarranted control over all levels of law and its’ enforcement. He probably didn’t win this recent election either as the Russians have clearly done a deal with him to put him into power. He is now an (un)official Russian operative and things Putin won’t betray him….but Putin is younger and far better at removing obstacles that stand in his way. Trump may have a convenient heart attack once he’s served his purpose.

Hey Canada/Trudeau if you don’t want the tariffs from President Trump then remove your limiting factors on American goods to equal the playing field! Maybe these tariffs and our President may finally get you to allow into Canada as much as we do into the USA! Trying to play a game of tariff against President Trump will not do Canadians any good. Ya know, it’s honestly comical that some many people have these knee jerk responses to anything they deem “negative” STRICTLY for the fact that it came from Trump, and rather know TRULY ABSOLUTELY NOTHING behind the reason why these “negative” things are said or done in the first place… I ASSURE YOU 99% of the people complaining about this Canada tariff don’t know that it’s simply to (essentially) force Canada to agree to ramp up their border DEA enforcement/presence to help cut down on the illegal drug trade (primarily fentanyl) coming into America! If more of these people complaining knew this reasoning behind it, I think that would quite honestly shut a lot of them up! And to be completely honest with you, that failure falls on NO ONE MORE THAN THE JADED MEDIA!! I truly believe THAT is hands down the biggest failure in our nation currently!! The media is HANDS DOWN our biggest enemy so far this presidential term!

I know a lot of people in the comment section have TDS so you look even more stupid praising this guy. You have no idea what this guy has done to Canada. His approval rating his lower than when Biden was President. He's a joke and this is just a smoke screen before the election where his party will be annihilated. Canada, the American people don't want this and a lot of Trump supporters didn't want this either. I'm sorry that y'all too have to suffer and deal with a man that doesn't lead your country. President Biden tried to get a bill through Congress within his first 100 days and they wouldn't pass it then either. We have scanners sitting at the Mexican Border that will detect Fentanyl but Congress would approve using them either. Musk told someone an hour before polls closed that Trump was the winner, with his evil laugh and let's not forget Trump telling his supporters that they didn't need to vote cause he will win without them. That's fishy. \n\n\nY'all what do we do if he won't leave office? What do we do then? I know he just got in the White House but it's never too early to have a plan to get him out. They worked on Project 2025 for 4 years and now it's all falling into place. OMG! What are we going to do?

His only mistake was not to talk to his Canadian in the same way about the external diplomatic journey. Most Canadians voted him out because most Canadians have little to no idea how it is arround the globe, missing an overall perspective in their critic to Trudeau. Let me tell you that a lot of people changed their minds looking at his reaction to external threath posed by newly elect Trump. I allways knew Trump was bad news but never did I see a country turn it's administrative logistic into a pure representation of the cult Donald made into place. As an American tariff china absolutely tariff Mexico sure but tariff Canada I’m not so sure about that. Canada is a critical trading partner. Trump is obsessed with trade deficits. Canada is a country rich in resources with the population of California. They have a lot to offer but a small buying power there’s obviously going to be a trade deficit. Idk I hope this all works out
