Let's not forget that the USA has only ever won one war on its own. The American Civil War! WW1 and 2 were a global allied effort, Korea a stalemate, beaten pants down in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan a shambles. Their recent treatment of President Zolenski was utterly shameful. Trump doesn't seem to understand that America will need all the friends that it can muster in the coming decade. The USA will be very alone in a war against China if they have isolated and belittled their strongest and best allies. Vance, should just keep his mouth shut, because every time he opens it he shames America. While every time Trump his mouth, Putin comes out.

I love all of the trump supporters or bots telling us to ‘go move to Canada’ or ‘leave, then,’ not realizing that if we did, this country wouldn’t be able to sustain itself, and fall faster than their heads could spin\n\nThat level of foresight and intellect tells us exactly why they thought trump would save the economy, lol\n\nWhy do you think they went after Roe, and keep telling us to breed? Now I don't want to dampen the positive comments being direct to us Canadians which we all appreciate. However, I don't want people to forget that this individual talks about making things affordable for their citizens. There is a reason he has resigned. Don't forget that our country unreasonably fights itself on sooooo many things that make items in Canada so much more expensive than they need to be. I was hopeful our own government would make living more afforable for all Canadians by putting a freeze on things such as the Carbon Tax....guess that wasn't in the cards!? He pardoned violent offenders and called them patriotic, spouts false information, obstructs investigations, has numerous felony charges against him and has now made enemies with our allies. Shall I go on? That's not Christian. Even if you aren't Christian...that's not what America stands for. All for what...eggs? Guns? Cheaper groceries? Or because your need for hating a small group of people out weighs global peace. Or is it because you are so short sighted that you can't even see the valuable contribution that non American born people provide this country. Yes, Biden fell asleep at the wheel. Yet many of you still believed the better choice was a psychopath. This election was important. We failed as a country by putting this man in office. No matter what party you align with, we failed. Is it possible that this is all about access to critical minerals - which Canada and Ukraine hav in abundance. America has form in creating a pretence to go to war to protect access to cheap oil. But in the past these wars were against arab nations and so the West found it easy to 'other' and accept the need for war. Now America under Trump is hoping to secure critical minerals (modern day oil) - but because they are allies he cant start an outright war. So hes doing it through trade. This is old form for America. When looked through this lense is not so difficult to understand. The big question is will the west allow him to bully western allies - democracies to be bullied into submission?

I think finally Canada realized that if they have friend like US then they don't need any enemy. You can't trust US at all and need to start open your market for global trade. In our time of need we are getting ghosted but everyone expects America to just to attention when there is a conflict or someone needs money. On top of this there's Tulsi Gabbard who the Ruzzians themselves have publicly stated IS an Agent of theirs for the last Decade. The reason for this 'trade war' is not about 'trade'. It's about 'creating chaos' so that president Trump is the 'centre' of world attention. As a Canadian, I am more afraid of the people than their healthcare system. And I am chronically ill and would be homeless in America. As a Canadian who has lived my whole life here, in my opinion there were two major factors that need to be highlighted that started this mess: fiscal policy and focus on fringe politics. First, Canada came out of the 2008 meltdown relatively unscathed due to following a markedly different strategic path than other major countries, namely tight banking regulations as well as 15 years of paying down the national debt. However, several years after 2008, sentiment shifted to adopting the same MMT-led fiscal policies as other nations: lower interest rates and deficit spending. Secondly, at least 10 years ago, there was a major political shift to start emphasizing fringe social issues (climate, race-based, gender, etc.) instead of standard issues such as the economy or military to name two, and it was strongly evident in academia and in the media. The result was little governmental, public or media attention being paid to core economic concerns such as the massive growing government and consumer debt levels, highly inflationary housing market, or decreasing productivity. When COVID hit, the government further doubled the existing federal debt and when they found that unsustainable, opened the doors to massive immigration levels to bring the Debt-per-Capita ratio down which while helping in that one metric, has further inflated the housing market all while forcing wages down. We now have unsustainable public debt levels, unaffordable housing, decreasing wages, decreasing productivity, and a troubling reactionary political swing towards extremist right-wing ideologies. Top that off with the US administration seeing Canada is on an economic precipice and threatening to take the country over, there couldn't be a more perfect storm.

India needs to be entirely banned from coming into Canada. Millions need to be deported back as well. They were given too many chances and leeway and disrespected all of it. GTFO
