I recently worked in a fast food restaurant owned by a foreign national, to begin with there was about a half and half mix between the foreign students and Canadians, it was well run, nice place to work and we pretty much got along, suddenly the owner started advertising for help only in his own language newspaper, as the usual turnover took place all the new hires were of his nationality, students who were limited to 20 hours per week wound up working more hours than the full time workers which in my books left me wondering how much studying they were getting in, Covid hit, I asked the boss if he was going to sign up for getting us paid instead of laying us off, he said he wasn't eligible for that program and laid us off, after he laid us off he applied for and got on the program, suddenly names the Canadian supervisor had never seen working for us appeared on the payroll and mysteriously when we got back to normal and got called back they never did appear in our restaurant. I'm not a racist, have always loved working with other nationalities, but rules are there for a reason and need to be enforced, a lot of folks are taking advantage of our lax enforcement. If you want to work in Canada you should apply for the permit before you come, if you come as a student you need to be a student, if you come as a refugee you should declare that status before you get on a plane. When we have people living on the streets and in cars because housing is not affordable we need to question how many folks we are bringing in.

My recent visit to the Landesamt für Einwanderung in Berlin was a stressful: i am a freelance musician applying for an official music teacher's position. There was a summit of 5 people there that could not wrap their heads around what papers i didn't fill in, so they gave me a piece of paper that legitimates my stay for one more year and said I'd need one more paper to proof that I am skilled enough. I tried to get one more appointment after filling in the papers, but no answer. Me and my employer are now stuck in this together, because we need each other more, than the immigration office thinks we do.

TFW here, east Asian, a couple of things:\nI am paid the provincial minimum wage, and work in the dairy industry, medium sized farm.\nI started working straight out of high school\n\nFrom what I can see and hear from across the province and largely in the western Canadian provinces, older generation farmers are at the retirement age, but the younger generation is generally very reluctant to take over. \nNot all industries, but definitely in livestock, people sometimes don't realize that, there is literally no breaks, ever! You work every day, holidays, Christmas, and if you do chose to take a few days off, your co-workers, i.e. other family members or workers, have to take up the extra workload. You barely have time for your family, you are often tired around your kids. Farmers have some of the highest suicide rates among all occupations, as well as a difficulty to find partners due to the nature of their jobs.\nThe work is hard, days long, especially during harvests, and if the ever more expensive tractors, equipment fail...\nThere used to be a lot of family owned farms, over the last few decades most have sold their generational farm and left the industry, most because of the cost to operate and because the next generation's unwillingness to take over.\nYong people my age have not been seen applying for my position in a few years now, despite ongoing hiring effort at significantly higher than minimum wage, and I have repeatedly stated that I, although love my job, am ready to step aside at any point so a Canadian PR or citizen can take my position, as required by worker rules. There were a few inquiries from neighboring areas, mostly made by parents, but their children in the end all refused to work, even part time, or seasonal.\n\nOn the other hand, there is the issue of prices: equipment costs have largely more than doubled since the pandemic, grain prices rose... and all that on top of the constant uncertainty of the weather every planting and harvesting season. Most farms don't ever make a profit after the yearly operating cost is deducted from earnings, and the little profit that on occasion appear, goes right back into paying debt or reinvesting in renewing long overdue old equipment.\n\nMy position, and all those similar to mine in agriculture, are in all fairness, very low skilled, with minimum training, and therefore is only worth minimum wage, in my opinion. I was actually offered a higher amount but in the end turned it down because on the job, I discovered the only thing I bring to the table is manual labor (I know that's not really the right way to go about wages, but I do believe that wages should be based on the irreplaceableness of one's skills, and as it stands, although no replacements were ever found, I am very much easily replaceable, skill wise). That, compared to a slightly better paid Starbucks position, with benefits (most farm workers and owners don't have benefits or pension, yes owners too), air conditioning, regular work hours. I mean, if it wasn't for my particular interest for agriculture I'd pick Starbucks any day too!\n\nI think a couple issues are at hand, \n1. Most of agriculture's profit ends up in the corporate processing and supermarkets, that needs to change, workers could benefit, as well as consumers, from distributing that profit between farmers and shoppers.\n2. Agriculture in today's context no longer fit the modern life, although I strongly think that A LOT of people can benefit from getting their hands dirty once in a while and sweating a bit, improve physical and mental health, have better discipline all that jazz. So foreign workers are the temporary solution, if well regulated so that Canadian PR and citizens are ALWAYS prioritized for hire and at a fair wage. This cannot happen unless farmers can turn a profit, stated in point 1.\n3. A new generation of farmers are needed to take over, and they need to be somehow convinced that it is worth the toil, because as it stands, it is not, financially, life style wise. Automation is one solution, although therein lies the huge, foreseeable risk of corporate takeover.\n4. On a specific note, TFW does mandate that workers are provided up to standard housing (not always followed), which puts local workers at a huge disadvantage if they are commuting to work and paying rent, although that rarely happens, and the majority of farms do offer housing to all.\n\n\nI am aware that me being treated up to regulation is not the norm among my TFW peers, which is quite sad and unacceptable. But in my opinion, even if given a leveled playing field, wages , conditions, housing, etc. Canadian citizens and PRs largely will be unable to meet the demand for these jobs, from unwillingness to work really hard physically, unwillingness to live the lifestyle, wanting a career with better prospects... these are harsh words, but I believe to be true, and they also come from a lot of older generation farmers talking about their children and grandchildren. \n\nThis is just in the agri industry, and from what I hear from farmers from all over western Canada : )

I believe it's the younger generation of Indians. \nThey lack experience and professionalism.\nThe trucking industry is a very good example. \nThey don't drive the vehicles very well. There is a serious lack of skill with many of them to the point where some will pay other drivers $100.00 to back their combine and trailer up for them.\nThe men appear as lazy, that could be the culture where they expect their women to do everything for them or again it's the generation, im not sure.\nI went to school with many Indian of India when I was young and they always appeared as a good hard working culture.\nBottom line: they need to change people's perception of them.

I am Canadian. My problem is not with the Indians, it the rate of immigration is far out pacing our infrastructures to support all of them. There's a lot of greed fueling issues. Foreigners are being exploited for cheap labor and wage suppression, indian students are being pumped into colleges at inflated rates. There was a lobby group called the century initiative that really pushed for 100mil Canadians by year 2100 that seems to have been a big part of why there was such an aggressive push. It's members were affiliated with companies that stood to profit greatly from the housing crisis.\n\nIndians are not the problem. It's a fucked up system and a lag in infrastructure. I want all that come here to thrive, and it's possible. We need to come together in order to problem solve this. \nWe can lead with empathy, and revolt with innovation. Look for opportunities to begin positive feedback loops with locals. I've noticed the accent can really make or break an interaction between Indians and locals. Really focus on perfecting the language and the local manners is my first suggestion for newcomers. \nSecondly is just to get involved. When locals see foreigners joining them in efforts to improve the community we warm up to them. When prejudice divides us, we are enabling the exploitation by the ruling classes that are disconnected from our hardship.\n\nGood luck

It’s looking like the country where they came from is god, I can say it. There is something they call shame, dignity, Côme on guys. You have no right to do anything. Maxime Bernier, was telling to one of them: we don’t need you here. Any normal human being should say to him or herself: what I am doing here. The guy became very combative, saying if his visa is expired, he won’t have to leave. One thing they cannot understand, Canada, united states, Europe aren’t the same they were during the 70’s, 80’s, some mistakes had been made. There are way too many of them in the northern part of America and they are all over the world. The premier minister modi, last year, finishing to talk to the Australian authorities, last words: if they can the young people of India to immigrate to their country, for education, research, since almost all the big ai companies are in his country, why they don’t do the research there good god, they prefer leaving opportunities behind, to work for Walmart, Canadian tires, Tim Horton ect , very smart. Canada needs brains not hands. Give me a break. The Mexicans stopped acting like that. Unfortunately.

The situation is more nuanced than just blaming migrants at large. \n\nFirstly, migrants were part of the population that accelerated Canada's economic development. \n\nOne big modern example is the building of the tracks (manual labour) of the Canadian National Railway across the country: much of the physical labour was done by migrants.\n\nAnother example is temporary farm workers that help plant and harvest Canadian crops annually.\n\nIn contrast, there are some migrants that have intentionally taken advantage of opportunities to invest in and monopolize large plots of land development all over Canada in recent decades. Prominently in Vancouver and Toronto.\n\nThis unrestricted monopolization of Canadian land is usually done by the wealthy from other countries. As a result, housing market prices goes up in and around these land development projects that the local population are unable to keep up to afford. And it's the fault of both the federal and provincial governments in just letting these wealthy investors gain a monopoly on Canadian soil and artificially driving up housing market prices.\n\nThe influx of international student visas have only exacerbated this housing crisis because land development investors are now using their new establishments as international student housing for profit while pricing out or simply not catering to the need for housing for the local population.

WELCOME TO CANINDIA. WE NEED MASS DEPORTATION !!! NOW !!! We Canadians have been by nature the Kindest of people and have always welcomed refugees with open arms. But this recent mass immigration by a people who are very racist and arrogant even when they come to our country for a better life. The arrogance and lack of customer respect at most places staffed by Indo immigrants. Just look at the Khalistan issue, The fact that there was a referendum held on OUR SOIL is an affront to our sensibilities. If you come here to live then leave your issues back home. The Indian population has brought assassination to our land ie: Nijjar. The Indian issue is mostly due to the Sikh population. Here another afront to Canadians is the event that was held in Vancouver where approx. 1000 of Chinese descent were celebrating 70 years of communism in Beijing. Those 1000 should have been all deported as they were obviously not ready to live in Canada. There are many more examples of how immigrants are ruining our budding culture.

I'm 52 years old and a Canadian citizen my whole life. Canada has always been a welcoming country. I have friends from every part of the world here in Canada. But in the couple years there has been a brutal influx of Indians in Canada. My build alone had maybe 3 Indian households. Now more than 60% of the building is indians. And the problem is 6 to 8 people living in a 2 bedroom apartment. We use to have 1 garbage bin in the basement. Now we have 3 and they are over flowing and they leave garbage everywhere( I've watched them do it). Not everyone has house keys so they leave the security door open all hours of the day allowing criminals to get into the building. They have shit in the laundry room and the garage(I have seen this happen). They smoke in the building halls and lobby. They Dont use laundry detergent when washing their clothes so the laundry machines stink really bad. I have to was the laundry machine before even putting my clothes in.Also they have taken every job in the business in my neighborhood. They aren't very friendly. They come into my restaurant and act like entitled brats and hang out for 6 to 7 hours in groups of 20 and don't tip. They're loud and demanding. Now our regular client's have stopped coming. Since these new Indians have come here they have tainted everything. I have never been a racist individual in my whole life. My family is very diverse. We are white, black, packistan, and Asian. In the last 3 years I am so disgusted in the quality of people that have been coming to this country. The biggest group is Indians. I'm sorry but be don't need any more of these assholes. We have enough of our own assholes

Unfortunately Germany is not a very attractive place for immigrants for the reasons the guy mentioned. The bureaucracy is incredibly frustrating and it's not only for immigrants. I got offered a job by a very well known multi international company here and they expected me to do the visa application by myself, because they haven't dealt with it before and evidently not enough information was readily available for them to take on the process. Those who are planning to come to Germany I would say spend a lot of time familiarizing yourself with how taxes will impact your salary. Insist on getting a dummy payslip with estimates of what your take home will be (because in Germany there are variables that could make an accurate estimate hard), research the average median expenses in the city or town you are moving to and be preperared to be the person who initiate contact with others. Learn the language which will make it easier to make friends (this will not happen over night as Germans by nature are not the warmest people), but in time yes. Find out whether your qualifications are comparable to those in Germany. You will be so surprise how many people don't do this check and waste their time doing courses that will not benefit them. I know it's incredibly hard to find out about this, like with everything else in this country, finding information on things isn't easy. You will need to speak to 4/5 different people, but it's worth it in the long run and saves you a lot of time.

@AbhiandNiyu Highly disappointed this time. This content in not just poorly studied, it is also presented in a way that likes increase or may be some promotion of the university you mentioned. You don't need to earn 190k plus to afford housing loan, I am not promoting drugs but everyperson who takes drug here is not what you showed in the video, there are specific areas, Yes there is long waiting time for healthcare, which is a concern and I am sure the local government is trying to fight it back, but how about our villages and the majority population with no medical facility even today, not trying to make an argument here. I have been here for around three years now, I am not saying it is the best place in the world nor suggesting anything. I was just expecting properly studied and not partial content from you. If you are hardworking, looking for more challenges with broader mindset to move around anywhere in the world then Canada is still an option with equal opportunities for everyone, beautiful weather, better education facilities, nice and clean roads, less corruption, you have your privacy, better lifestyle. And definitely it is not a magical land with everything freely available, for simplest thing there could be hardest struggle in initial years.

I think if Immigrants were made to bring on the Fun, instead of an emphasis on making things better or more equal, it would shape out everything. Just imagine if Chinese and Hindi-migrants came over and said, we need to spice up Canada big time and proceeded to give each of your family members a playful kiss? And what if suddenly, they threw their own cultures away to start making their own version of clown circuses which catered to the needs of native Canucks? Who knows, maybe we can make Toronto the new Disney World and everyone can become Disney Families. Canada, what Canada? You mean Piñata Cañada, don't you? \n\nBut all of this immigration planning started in the 70s (while North America was being fed commercials and illusions galore - no country has ever watched so much content in a single lifetime). This was all planned. North America will become Asiatica; while Europe will become Asian Atlantic (kind of like Virgin Atlantic?- see doesn't that sound fun, you pilgrim, you?) .\n\nSoon cemeteries will be replaced with affordable housing, and there will be burial libraries; after all, libraries still need to stay in business even if the visitors are conscious or not.

I am a Serbian and Canadian living in Canada for the last 24 years. I love \nthis country I respect this country but my God is so much different than it used to be or it is me. This summer I went with my kids and wife to 6 different countries in Europe Eastern Europe and Central and have seen 2 alcoholic then I come to Canada I see thousands of drug addicts on the street. everything is overpriced ppl do not enjoy in here. When I came in 2000 Serbian economy was low due to the war now it is better and Canadian economy is worse so the gap is very small. you need to make 6000$ to live just ok and I do live well but there is always but. I call it a pressure cooker, I wish all Canadian travel abroad a bit just to realize that they were lied too and that there's a lot of bs. I can give you an example: Condo in Belgrade same size property tax is 200$ per year condo in Qc Gatineau 2500$ plus condo fees 400$ per month basically 7000$ wasted for what? no dr wholes on the street broken system. It will be for sale. I agree paying taxes on my house where I live but for rental property when you deduct all the expenses you invested so much money without any profit. the one that works and the one that scams the system make the same amount of money and we live approx the same. something is wrong there. I will live for many years to come but definitely not spending my whole life here due to many circumstances and expenses. Family values are getting killed and I have issues with that. The more I was pushed to change the more I went to church and believed in old fashioned traditional values. As you said I will always be grateful for what I made but working hard for two jobs in the last 20 years I would make that somewhere else too. Canada has changed too much since I came that's for sure. What triggers me the most fake approach when ppl say I make 100k wow then you didn't get that, that is only on the pay stub. how much did you get 50k that is the real money then you need to add deductions house tax this tax, sewage, water it comes less and less and then you realize that in reality you make more but you spend so much more with less quality of life. who cares how much you make the question is how do you live with the amount that you make.?

Can't speak to the situation regarding immigrants. However, NO Canadian that I know wants to emigrate.\n\nHigh taxes.....all relative. Social programs are a safety net and save from having to pay out of pocket (security and peace of mind are worth their weight in gold).\n\nThe problem with your FB posts was caused by FB itself. Since COVID-19 there has has been an epidemic. However, it is not limited to Canads; other countries are experiencing the same phenomena.\n\nCost of housing.......also not limited to Canada.\n\nImmigrants.....it is extremely difficult to uproot from one's native country and quickly integrate into another, no matter the country. It generally takes years to acclimatize. And often, you've left your heart behind.\n\nSalaries....been to Singapore. Salaries may be higher but the cost of everything is also much, much higher.\n\nAnd moving to the USA......guns, health care, social safety nets, politics?\n\nNo matter where you live, it has its challenges. For me a Québécois, we missed the boat in 1995. Too bad if you don’t like it but we got screwed by newly arrived immigrants back then and we are being drowned by immigrants now. The difference is that you too in the ROC are being drowned. I am a Quebec nationalist, it’s in my guts. My family has roots going back to New France. Canada has always been an imposition for us just as we to the First Nations I guess. That’s unfortunately neither here nor there at this point in history and I apologize for it. I could blame the Trudeau government but any government in Canada would do the same for neoliberal/conservative ideological reasons. We have a neoconservative government right now in Quebec. They have practically killed our nation from the inside in order to discredit the social democratic and socialist tendencies that did so much to develop this nation. These are the ones who would literally step on their grandmothers neck to attain higher status in life. Since for me this place is where I feel the most a part of and have understood long ago that the ROC had done everything to negate us as a people a nation and the dream of an independent country with close ties to the ROC is and probably never was in the cards, I have started hoping for some kind of political union with mother France since it has become painfully clear that Canada as a strong bicultural self respecting truly independent country is a bygone notion. Just look at our military, it’s a monumental farce. Look at the insane levels of immigration, we cannot support this!! PERIOD!!! Look at way we genuflect to the US’s economic visions without questioning anymore. The Quebec people are a nation, Canada unfortunately is only a notion. For me getting out of Canada is also a reality except since this place never was one of a cash cow there only to send funds to some family elsewhere I believe we Québécois and Québécoise, with the respect for the First Nations that we have always owed them, need to go our way. So leave Canada, in fact there are too many of you already. We are not the US, we cannot afford the social chaos of savage predatory capitalism. What is bringing this confederation down is exactly that. Wanting to cram Canada, all its constituent parts into an Merican hole. No matter the price. Goodbye Canada you hardly wanted to know us.

I was born in Montreal in the mid 50s and growing up it truly was a free country with plenty of opportunity. Graduating from Sir George Williams University I was able to purchase a brand new Mustang and live in my own new construction 2 bedroom luxury apt. Food and going to clubs was never an issue and as I had worked during the summers, I had no student debt. Most Canadians back then were from European backgrounds and safety was never an issue. In the year 2000 I left for the United States for good. I worked , lived and retired in a small university town and have a conceal carry permit to protect myself even here. I remember when you didn't even need a passport to go back and forth to Canada . The great replacement has hit Europe the hardest but Canada is a close second. If I were to leave here it would probably be for Thailand or the Philippines where there is a reasonable cost of living and safer conditions. I feel for you as I too can never go home, not the home I came from.

The real problem is the dishonest people and frudulent rate sky rocketed.\n\nInternational student program was announced by conservative party in 2008 for international students to obtain a work visa that could potentially lead to pr.\nDuring 2008~2015 there was virtually 0 problems in immagrations with an EASY requirements with just 1 year work experience and finished college/university.\n\nThe student came here just to work problem we have at the moment doesn't make any sense math wise.\n\nAn actual college will charge 22k$ per year as a cheap cheap cheap option, university starts from 40k$ and goes up from there, on top of that the student need to purchase an GIC program at a Canadian bank with 10~15k$ and maybe also a meal plan in school BEFORE they even arrives.\nby adding up the cost, the person will spend 100~300k$ withing the first 2~4 years WITHOUT having any properties in the end, doing cash jobs will NOT even cover up the cost.

As someone who was born and raised in the Middle East and identifies as an atheist, I have a deep understanding of the motivations and mindsets of people from the region who choose to migrate to Europe. In the 1970s and 1980s, many who fled to Europe were doing so for genuine political reasons. They were escaping oppressive regimes, whether Islamic or dictatorial, often because their beliefs as non-Muslims, socialists, or leftists put them in danger.\n\nHowever, since the 2000s, the motivations for migration have shifted. Today, many people from the region come to Europe not primarily in search of safety or to embrace a European way of life, but rather to take advantage of the social benefits that European countries offer. Unfortunately, many of these individuals support the same Islamic regimes or ideologies that people fled from in the past.\n\nIntegration into European society is often challenging, particularly when there is little incentive to learn the local language or culture. For some, the focus is on increasing family size to maximize the financial benefits provided by the state. This explains why it's common to see families with six to nine children in these communities. The goal for many is not to seek safety or assimilate into European society, but to live comfortably on the benefits available in countries like Germany and Sweden.\n\nTo address this issue, I believe Europe needs to reconsider its approach to handling migration. One potential solution could be to build safe cities in North Africa, where people can find refuge and work without necessarily relocating to Europe. This would provide a secure environment and opportunities for those in need, without overburdening European countries. The focus should be on creating conditions where people migrate for genuine safety and the chance to contribute to society, rather than primarily for the financial benefits.\n\nIf people are allowed to choose where they want to live, they will naturally demand the best possible conditions and benefits. However, if authorities take the lead in deciding where migrants should be relocated, it would likely reduce the risks associated with illegal immigration. By guiding people to safe and sustainable locations rather than letting them dictate their destination, we could decrease the incentives for dangerous and unauthorized migration routes. This approach would help manage resources more effectively and ensure that migration serves both the needs of those seeking refuge and the capacity of host countries.

Canada has to start recognising degrees from other countries. Here in B.C. we have emergency rooms closing overnight due to lack of staffing. We need doctors and nurses yet the barriers for those immigrating to get their degrees recognised mean many never qualify.\n\nCanada also needs to look at who we are admitting in and to terminate the family unification policy. When immigration was helping the country grow there was a different demographic coming in. Often it was single men or young married couples. As they came by themselves they assimilated into the mosiac of the country. When you concentrate on immigrants from one country instead of assimilating they setup ethnic communities. \n\nLook into what study groups have said that is contributing to gang violence. It's ethnic groups that have the grandparents, parents and grand kids all living in one home. The grandparents want the grand kids to adhere to their native culture. Unfortunately by time you get to the grand kids they are Canadian. They speak English/French depending where they live with little interest in speaking their ethnic language. There is cultural conflict within the home hence street life is where they find love and caring.\n\nSome cultures are not as community minded. Part of the high cost of renting/housing is based on greed not need. In my own community I know of apartment units now renting at 2,500 - 4,000/month owned by the same people that even five years back you could have rented for 500 - 800. There is no justification for that percentage of increase other than greed.\n\nJob opportunities. Summer employment for school kids is going down yearly. You see local business that use to hire students over the summer month claiming they can't find any workers. They bring in TFW yet Canadian students can't find work. You can tell the owners nationality of a business by the nationality of the workforce. A local store bought by a east Indian two years ago which at the time had a diverse workforce is now entirely staffed by east Indians. Yet who screams racist? \n\nCanada definitely needs to reconsider its immigration policy and bring in major changes.

I've seen so many ads about immigration to Canada on Instagram, here in Indonesia.\nA former coworker of mine is saving now to hopefully immigrate to Canada one day. \nThe online ads give us impression that Canada is in serious need of immigrants because of birth rate decline. \nI would love to go to Canada and the western countries one day, but not as an immigrant. I want to be a traveller there.\nI was raised in poverty and brought myself out of it. I cant imagine going back to poverty by being am immigrant in a foreign country. That would be a no for me.

how do you suppose they get into Canada?? You're simply fearmongering.. Can't get into Canada without a visa., first of all, and second if they are let in to Canada, they got there by flight and a one-way ticket from Mexico city is $518 plus tax and fees per person...next, the passport exempt for the visa is Mexico, the influx of migrants are not Mexican, they are other countries and regardless of the perron, they need a passport to enter the country... How about we stop blaming everyone else and look in the mirror.. You jackasses voted Biden in, knowing what was going to happen, its the democrats own laws and own fault for simply opening the borders just to contradict Trump.\n Had Trump not been robbed of the presidency, youd have secure borders, no destroyed economy and wouldnt have let millions of foreign actors take root in the country... An interview with a terrorist leader told the reporter that the attack on America that is in the works will make 911 look like a warm up attack and it will be like nothing ever seen in the history of man... Better belive the southern border is an invasion. over 100,000 a month cross in the south, with 16000 total for the whole year on the northern border...

Honestly as an Immigrant I was definitely lied to by the country of Canada, and tbh this concern is lined with racism to an extent, but there are some valid concern for the most part. \n\nCanadian universities came to me high school, one of the academically successful high schools on my island and tried to take every single high performing student. Honestly immigrantion is an issue for everyone, but it won’t stop until the bigger western countries stop making oppressive laws forcing people out of their country. \n\nThis is not the immigrants problem, Canada is the problem. Canada used to have a fairly sane immigration policy - immigrants needed to have a level of education and/or skills that would contribute to areas of Canada's economy and growth - skills or education in fields where there was need for people. Part of the problem now is that so many people are allowed in as refugees, with no usable or useful skills. Another part of the problem is that Canada does not have the infrastructure to accommodate so many more people - we should first build the infrastructure, then allow just the number of people we can house and employ. Another policy should be that our local and provincial governments should have decision making authority where immigrants settle. Huge influxes of people into already crowded urban centers makes no sense - immigrants need to be told what areas of Canada they may go to.\n\nNo culture or group can maintain identity and stability if overwhelmed by large numbers of outsiders. We should limit immigration to the number of foreign cultures and languages that can be successfully integrated into our society.

Context:\n\nAround a year or two ago driving back home with some friends after visiting Niagara Falls, we were pulled over because my car’s headlights were off. I didn’t stop immediately when they turned their police lights on because I didn’t think I did anything wrong but did eventually pull over after realizing they were indeed trying to pull me over. \n\nAfter I pulled over, two officers quickly got out and one of them rushed to my passenger side mirror and very aggressively yelled at me, “why didn’t you pull over” etc. I was very surprised by his reaction and quickly explained that I was a fairly new driver (about 6 months of driving experience at the time). He went away for a few seconds to cool off and later apologized for his behavior (very respectable).\n\nMain Focus:\n\nNow, the interesting part is while the officer was cooling off, the other officer wanted not just my ID but everyone else’s’ in my car as well. I still to this day do not think that is normal, however, I haven’t been pulled over enough to confirm that. Anyways, some of my friends didn’t have officials IDs on them but they did have their student ID. The police wanted that as well. They took a long time to what I assume, conduct a very thorough check on everyone’s ID, making sure nothing is suspicious and everyone is from America. The whole encounter had to be around 20 to 30 minutes long, it was very very long. \n\nTakeaway:\n\nFrom what I experienced that day, I strongly believe that people were at least crossing the northern border around 1 year ago and most likely even earlier. There are bus services that go straight to NYC from Buffalo which is right across the border from Canada to the US. I have some comments about some of the things in the video. Including Olivia Chow in the video when talking about housing affordability with local government policies I don't think is right to inlcude her as she only got elected last year and has to deal with all the decisions and issues from the past Toronto mayor. It's similar to blaming Biden for the economic issues of the US when a lot of the reasons for the downturn economy in the US during his first term was the impact of the economic policies that Trump put in place, it takes time. In terms of the carbon tax, I think its a valid criticism with the compounding issues canadians are facing, but also take into consideration that the provincial governments also have some play with this, as they have the ability to go for the standard carbon tax or implement a cap and trade. A lot of conservative governments like to complain about the federal government about this, but they are also to blame for some of the lack of affordability for political points. As well for the banking fees, we do have a smaller selection of banks, but there are some options that Canadians can have that do not include fees (Simplii, Tangerine). I was in Canada for 1.5 months and I can say them much better than India. They have flaws but compared to India they are not that major. Human life matters there a lot more than in India. We as Indian expect they should behave like India so that we will get any thing and do things the we are doing in India but we forgetting one thing we are in there country we need to adopt our self according to there standers. Its crappy, I'm at the point in my life where me and my fiancée are making more money then we ever have, but its going no where. We need immigrants, we do not need this much. I go on tiktok and there are tutorials for people coming into this country on how to obtain free food, like from food banks and what not, spite the fact we have minimum funding requirements for students coming here. Instead, I reside in a mixed area and have no intention of bringing over 100,000 people from my village back home to Canada. Canada needs to restrict immigration until we get a handle on our housing and social services levels. Also, not all new immigrants should be allowed to move to Toronto or Vancouver. They should be sent to live in provinces such as Saskatchewan or Manitoba for the first 10 years. I am sure they need skilled workers. Also, would be forced to assimilate like my family did back in the 1960s because there would not be a massive enclave from their own culture in one area. Also, the reason my parents moved to Canada was their former country was Balkanized into different ethnic groups that exploded into a massive civil war. A lot of immigrants are disappointed when they get here, because from the outside, Canada seems great. Yes, it is a very safe country, and has a lot going for it. But people may be surprised to find that they have been allowed into the country, to fill jobs no one else wants. And it's a lot of work to move here from another country, so immigrants tend to get stuck in a bad situation.

I’m a Canadian nurse and I lived in the US for 10 years during my career. I did it when I was young to gain work experience and travel with friends. It gave me a lot of insight in how it feels to live in both countries. I’ve been a nurse and patient in both counties so I also know how it feels to work, live and be a resident in both. \n\nI cannot articulate enough how it has confirmed to me how fortunate I am to be Canadian. The perks to living in the US were very superficial and frivolous things that matter very little in the broad scheme of things,….which I see as more restaurant chains, cheaper restaurant food, more shopping options, etc. As a young person when I lived there,…those things seemed amazing but matter far less as I get older. \n\nWhen I lived there, I paid a fraction of the income taxes that I paid in Canada but it’s only short term gain for long term pain. The cost of health care, the amounts of gov funded benefits (disability, EI, pension, etc) in the US makes it well worth paying taxes to offset these things as in Canada. I have had cancer 3 times in 5 years and I’ve not paid a cent for treatment, scans, surgery, etc in Canada. My employer held my job for 2 years and I received long term disability of 70% of my yearly wages and my employer paid my full pension and benefits as I was off of work. After 2 years, my cancer returned and was deemed incurable so I will continue to receive this pay and benefits until I’m 65 and can retire as I can no longer work. I have no financial worries as I battle cancer. \n\nTo contrast,…my US employer was a world reknowned hospital that had excellent pay and benefits. Had I been working there when I was diagnosed with cancer, I would only have gotten full pay for 6 weeks until my sick time and vacation time was used up. Then I was eligible for a fraction of my income for 3 months, which would not be enough to live on. I would not have had my pension paid. After that, I’d receive no more pay and my employer would hold my job without pay for 6 months and then I’d be let go. My cancer required nearly 2 years off of work so after 5 months of this minimal pay, I’d have no income, no job and no benefits with a new pre existing condition to ensure that I’d have a snowballs chance in hell of getting future coverage. Meanwhile during that 5 months of some pay, I’d still need to pay huge costs of treatment despite having insurance but that would disappear after I was let go from my job. I’d have to return to work during my treatment just to afford to continue it. I have many US friends that had a similar cancer that worked throughout to cover basic cancer care while I was able to recuperate without working or fearing being unable to pay. There is nothing comparable to this when you are sick. It is everything!\n\nSadly, many of my American friends are very ill informed on how health care works in other countries and don’t see the shortcomings in their own. Ironically though, they are willing to argue it without proper information so I often find that bizarre. While lived there I felt as though I was in a bubble where the only news that I saw was US news. I saw no info or minimal about Canada in my whole time there,…aside from falsehoods about health care to scare people away from seeking change. “Canadians are all dying while waiting”, “they are all coming to the US for care”, “they pay 80% income tax” etc. All propaganda,…some from politicians or those that should know better. It was truthfully mind boggling to me how educated people could know so little about the world. It almost felt as though they heard so much propaganda about how terrible other places were while only having knowledge of the US, that it ensured that things would stay the same without anyone wanting beneficial changes to dysfunctional policies (like health care, cost of meds, lack of gun regulations, etc). I lived in vegas for a very short time, it was planned to be living there but we went back to Canada. I am dual citizen either way. I will say that i like what that robert bigalow was doing with the budget suites. I stayed there temporarily. It would be so awesome for canada to do this for the housing crisis. You know when someone just talks and within seconds you know that what they are saying is true . I’d like to say we are the weight but we are not in control . If what “we” were doing was right, would we need propaganda? Would “we” not be using every resource we had into fighting for a resolution ? \nI’m not an educated man but, if you build a wall around someone’s home land, control there food, water, economy… would you not grow to hate those that suppress ? All I know, is that we all, regardless of race, religion etc have more in common than we think! We want to feel safe, raise our families with peace and the opportunity for a bright future. Seems like a pattern emerging, the same pattern that ended the Roman Empire . Regardless of what you believe we are all here so surly we all have the same maker, god ….

It seems appropriate to me that he returns to India. His wife and son can also return to India. They do have good hospitals there, not sure why that is a humanitarian need here. I think it would help them all build a life away from this chapter of their lives. Show a bit of grace, people, he pled guilty and was distressed about his role in the deaths. Immigrants going to the western countries. What do they do next…\nMake settlements… Make big ethnic colonies… make money… send back to their countries.. sees lot of issues like drug addicts, mafias… tries to take the things in their control… become the majority…. The councilman suggests to explore other parts of the world, make settlements & establishments, steel the wealth, enslave the people, so that we can be lazy and enjoy our lives. The king says, ‘It sounds fun and interesting, let’s enforce it’.\n\nPart 2: Many ships sail all across the world, and found many lands for their quest. Upon reaching the shores, they started saying ‘Hey dude! We were passing by and thought we could rest here for a while.’ The natives are very welcoming and treat their guests with utmost respect, gave place to stay, put food on their plates, shared the roof so that they can be comfortable. After few days, ‘Hey dude! We think we could trade and do business’. The natives as usual, without knowing the real intention, agreed to them with goodwill and great heart. A few more days later, ‘hey dude! You guys or not competent enough to govern your self. So we will take the charge moving forward’. There you go with ships full of different form of wealth, materials, valuables, spices, and most importantly hard working men as slaves & women for our ***** needs. Those who turn against are imprisoned, beaten, tortured and killed for fun as they can never become the wealth. \n« « \n\nThis went on for centuries until the colonizers extracted till the last drop of the wealth. And, guess what, they didn’t want the natives to live in peace. So they made sure to land mine enough troubles to ensure that the natives live in hell for the rest of their generations and always be a third world nation.\n\nWhat else they did… \nWhich religion do you practice you brown rubbish… ‘we follow …. ‘ no no no, you are going to follow this *** moving forward.\nWhich language do you speak… ‘we speak ….’ No no no, moving forward you will speak E****, S*****, P*****, F*****. And for every other things.\n\nUnfortunately, what the colonizers didn’t foresee is that someday, the same natives would overcome all the hurdles with their hard work and determination to overshadow the colonial past, and to succeed past the so called colonizers.\n\nIf the Brits hadn’t colonized India, probably Indians wouldn’t be immigrating to Western English speaking nations. Most likely they wouldn’t have learned English. Oh wait, if they haven’t colonized any part of the world, we wouldn’t have seen these English speaking western countries and have no problem with the immigration issues. \n\nCan we change the past??? Unfortunately, nope! But karma always kicks back in. What was done in the past, comes back 10 folds in the future.\n\nLast thing I want to say is that I no way means to support the bad things. I believe that we are all humans, not that being white is a privilege and being black as underprivileged, undermined,………It was funny to see in the video that people still differentiate and being proud for being white. Being a brown person is in fact a good thing medically. \n\nWe all need to find means to live in harmony and not create nuisance or bother others, be it an immigrant, outsider, natives, local, westerners…..\n\nLet’s make the world a better place to live in peace and harmony. After all we are all the children’s of Mother Earth✌️ \n\nOne World, One Earth, One Nation, One Homo Sapiens. ??

Soon every city in Ontario will be brown town… why is it that we never really had all these scams going on till the last few years?only people I see get caught are brown with multiple fake ids. Non stop scam calls, texts , emails mainly preying on our elderly people and what do they get a theft under 5000 charge and that’s nothing. You have people renting rental to turn around and not live in it just rerent them to brown people and stick 4 in each room for 500 a person.. what to pay for the house they live in or send it all back home. If your white here they won’t even rent to you even if you wanted to because they know the only people that will live in those conditions are them. Rental adds being racist saying only brown people but if we we be put on blast.Not to mention they will only hire their own kind once they have ones in management. \nI had ones move in my place and sure enough 10 + people in it within 2 months and the place is already infested with roaches.\nAnd we wonder why crime , drugs and homeless is going crazy.\nUse Canadians need to start fighting back doing the same only hiring and renting to Canadians. Start threatening them do go back home but no we don’t because we all sit back and do nothing. If the table was turned down you think we would get away with any of this there ?\nGo to any cash place and I can bet you’ll see a handful there sending all their rupies back how so how’s this helping the country
