This video is a load of crap. People want to live in cities that is why it is expensive. It is that way all over the world. I just sold my mom’s 3 bedroom house for 27,000 in small town Saskatchewan. Took 2 years to sell because no one wants to live in a small town. The utilities and taxes come to only 3,000 a year. As for grocery prices i just came back from a trip to the USA and checked their grocery stores. Their prices are the same or higher and in US dollars.

I moved to Canada as a child with my parents 41 years ago. It isn't just inflation and cost of living that is the problem. It's the dramatically increasing racism and discrimination, even against people who have been living in this country longer than the racists discriminating against them. Seriously? This is not the Canada that I came to as a child, grew up in, or have lived and worked in for many decades. I made the mistake of working around the world for a short time and picking up an accent that wasn't even mine originally. I had a Canadian accent before finishing elementary school. To come back to be asked to go home or 'we don't want your sort here' is not just simple racism, but hatred that makes me regret ever having agreed to taking on Canadian citizenship. My kids and grandchildren have Canadian accents and were Canadians from birth. But should they leave and return to the same crap??? Politics are like a pendulum. In my youth the right was largely the unreasonable voice; strong conservative policies derived in part by religious values that didn’t mesh with more progressive mainstream views. There was also a small but perceivable undertone of anti-imigration and racist sentiment in Canada's rural areas. Now the pendulum has swung far to the left. Now the extremists are on the left, killing free speech, mandating bodily harm, and cramming a nonsensical woke ideology down our throats. The voice of reason is now right of center. If I had to compare the two I would say that the current left ideology has been far more damaging. I hope that the next election will be the start of a new Canadian renaissance and that the pendulum doesn't swing too far to the right. as an immigrant myself, I totally agree with Peter, he has every right to be protected by the system at the downfall, he paid into it when it was good for him, so he should be expecting some sort of payback from the system when he needs it. It is always has been like that, everywhere in the world in the past and may not change in the far future, I mean for periods or intervals of years, it is a well known social, economical and political measurement to control population, immigration and social elite richness. Imma be honest I’m not surprised u moved to Canada Asians for the most part are always unaware about what goes on with the economies of the world unless u get your information from the news??.I mean seriously people it’s time to wake up in 2024 of course Canada isn’t a great country it hasn’t been in over 40 years same as my home country here in the USA where more Asians and Indians and Mexicans keep coming here but they will also learn the hard way about America ??.And don’t worry about it what they saying in the news it’s all garbage ?️ the problems in America and Canada including the u.k are server understated part of this is because these are developed countries with everything being so developed why would there be any problems I have talked to many Asians from Thailand and the Philippines ??.They literally told me they see USA as paradise like what the hell honestly because we have streets and expressways everywhere that’s exactly the problem and no agriculture no farming all warehouses and big retailers and no small businesses.All government shitty jobs paying average money we have some of the dirtiest and worst public transportation in the world it is so slow with constant delays and only go through major cities they will never fully extend it out into other areas.Condemning walking and by cycling is freaking insane to me making things more spread out instead of walkable.Allowing the cost of living and inflation to go up while keeping wages the same so your own citizens will get priced out of their own economy to allow foreigners to come in so u can get away with paying them less way to go America,Canada and the u.k.And don’t get me started with all of this dam regulations and laws being made surrounding everything my good ness man I’m so glad I’m leaving America all of these western countries are a hot piece of garbage.

Politics should be supporting migrants very well not just throwing them to the streets, put some regulatory, cut some paperwork for applying a job, make RULE that every IMMIGRANT should go to government job like cleaning streets or IDK make it MUST, so there will be no situation where they don't have jobs. Right now is probably the worst time to come here. With global recession and post-pandemic hardship, everyone is feeling the pinch. Small businesses are closing down as they could not repay back the relief loans given by the government during the pandemic. Trudeau’s policy of immigration through the educational stream and admitting so many refugees from Syria and Ukraine have caused massive rent increase - too many people chasing after lower real estate supply. Because people are feeling the pinch, crimes are up and homelessness has become a serious issue. But, here are the (long-term) advantages of living here, vs. The Philippines:\n- free healthcare - no matter how rich you are back home, wealth can be depleted if a major illness strikes;\n- free education for your kids up to highschool and opportunity for your kids to enter worldclass universities after highschool;\n- government programs that actually work - Worker rights are upheld, doleouts when you lose your job, 12-month mat/paternity leave, doleout/govt match when you save for yr kid’s university educ, tax rebates for whatever you save for retirement, retirement income even if you never held a job, infrastructures are maintained, transparency and stability of political system; \n- safer environment - yes, greater crimes lately, but still one of the safest places to live. I live in greater Toronto, and sometimes we forget to lock our door at night or leave a bicycle outside and nothing happens;\n- commitment to the environment - the country adheres to protecting the envt. You can drink water from the faucet. Strict laws on recycling and waste disposal. Greenbelt protection on forest and conservation park areas, even in the cities. Canada also has the world’s biggest water supply...in today’s global climate change, were decades away from water wars;\n- a beautiful country with friendly, humble and relaxed people who observe work-life balance

How about you get an education in your own country. I'm Aussie and we set limits on our own people at University and their education so that they can profit of foreign students, most being from China and India even though they have the 2nd and 3rd highest GDP's in the world and 1st and 2nd highest populations in the world, so they should be able look after their own instead of jeopardising the education of our own, but then Goverment will say we need to increase immigration to 400,000 a year ( just hit 27 million, 2 decades before we ment too) of mainly skilled workers who got their skill and education from our nation instead from their own people. All of this during a housing crisis, cost of living crisis, small job market and overwhelming Immigration. Dumbest plan I've ever heard.

This is pretty funny. I'm Canadian and my best friend is an economist working for the government on demographic issues full time. Just has an FYI canada has seen its highest immigration rate in the past 50 years last year. I can also see and feel all the immigrants moving in the job market. I'm not so sure why those videos keep being produced. This country is not perfect but it's better than many other places in the world. For example, canada is barely affected by climate change because we already have resilient infrastructure. When it comes to housing it's not so much that the governement does not allow for more building than the fact that it's hard to build affordable homes because the homes in canada require a lot of work due to the nature of the climate. (Has a trained carpenter and GC I know.) It's also very far from all of the world's chaos. All those emerging wars will affect Europe directly but all we get are some small economic backlashes. Anyhow, I've been living here for my whole 31 years of life and I've enjoyed the place and its peace. What I dislike is the cold and the lack of sun. Big cities in Canada actually aren't higher in crime. The worst crime is probably western small towns. But even really nice cities like Fredericton NB have far higher crime than Toronto does. This may be changing fast enough that we will see a change, but Toronto is almost an outlier in the world on crime rates. So Pickering is an A- on crime. Fredericton is an F. You would never guess it walking around. Though the same report says Pickering is a D- on health, while Fredericton is an A-, which is ridiculous because you can't get a doctor in Fredericton, unless there is one in the family. So maybe the stats are bogus.

They have very narrow attitudes and live in small world. Getting dressed to show off … sad?They keep making comparison to India ….why? You have to accept what the local customs are. And the food is personal taste to each area of world. Canadian food is according to Canadian taste not indian. Each country have their own taste. They most likely miss the pollutions from India.

Having done a similar voyage, my two-pence is that, resources permitting, at least until you have really properly tried the other country out for a period of time, I'd recommend retaining a base, even if a small one, in Canada, leaving your longer term stuff there rather than packing everything that you own and dragging across the world. In my experience, the most enhancing and liberating situation is one where you get to enjoy the privilege of being able mix the best of the two worlds. When abroad in the other Muslim country you will have great moments but - guaranteed - also a fair share of disappointments and negative experiences. Even if you think you have thought of everything, you don't know what you don't know, or how you may feel, or what and where is better, until you've spent a longer time over there. I could write a book by now but will just leave you with go, explore, see, try, but ideally have an easy way to come back to Canada to regroup (to potentially try again, better and differently with a bit more experience).
