To anyone from the rest of Canada, to anyone in the USA, and all across the globe: Laws are being implemented to restrict the rights of English-speaking Quebecers and individuals moving into Quebec from anywhere in the world, even if they have previously lived in other places in Canada. Education in English is not an option here – language laws prohibit English-speaking people from accessing services, including medical care and government assistance. In Quebec, putting up a sign isn't as simple as it seems; it must be measured by someone from the Quebec language police to ensure that French letters/words are larger than the English ones.\n\nMoreover, there are restrictions on personal attire; wearing a Christian Rosary, a yarmulke for Jewish individuals, or any type of Hijab for Muslims is not allowed if you plan on working here. Recent laws in Quebec empower authorities (police, language police, etc.) to enter your place of business unannounced, and possibly your home if you have a home business, without a warrant, to confiscate laptops, computers, cell phones, etc. Rights are being curtailed for English and any other language besides French.\n\nI implore you, PLEASE DO NOT VISIT QUEBEC. DO NOT SCHEDULE ANY BUSINESS TRIPS HERE, NOR SHOULD YOU SCHEDULE ANY CONVENTIONS HERE! While it's unfortunate that some innocent businesses may suffer, everyone, including Francophone business owners and residents across Quebec, has had the opportunity for years to stand up and denounce the prejudicial laws against Anglos. STAY AWAY FROM QUEBEC. SPEND YOUR ENGLISH MONEY ELSEWHERE.

No non Canadian citizens should be protesting in this country. Most of them are not here for education. They want jobs and our employers hire them because they are cheap labour. I'm not against immigration, but at one time, you were allowed status if you had a job waiting for you. The whole student study scheme is a scam!!!\nMake Canadians wait for 20 minutes at Tim Horton's!! Good luck with that! They will fire your ass out the door. Our government is made up of backstabbing snakes. They all deceive us every time they open their mouths. Pollievr will be the same.\nOnly Max Bernier has said to close the boarder completely and sort out who we have here first then assess who we need before reopening the boarder. I’m an immigrant and I’m sick of what has been allowed to happen to the Canada I love and respect. It has been made a laughing stock and a welfare dispensary to all comers at taxpayers expense. Protesting in another country where you are a student is not allowed and the act itself can get you deported. However, the scams the Canadian colleges and universities do in countries like India and Pakistan is terrible. These students pay almost double the money local kids do. They r most times highly qualified and have availed of an opportunity offered by these institutes. When such things happen, its obvious that they are unhappy. I think the Indian government needs to start issuing advisory. I don't think its worth it, I wish people understood this. The US, Germany/Europe,UK even Australia is much different. Believe it or not, a lot of these students wish to pay back student loans and get out of this scam. Canada is beautiful, but the amount of scams here, prepostrous.

Nobody pays 4-times the tuition of a domestic student just for a degree from Blablabla college. Of course almost everyone comes for PR, because Express Entry was a stable immigration system, but now the system allows fraudulent LMIA holders to go through, and the actual skilled workers are paying the price because NOBODY can score such high score in Express Entry (current draws). The current draw cut-off scores are unrealistic.\n\nThe government allowed 90k unskilled workers to get PR through the TR to PR program (was a mistake), but now have made it difficult for the actual Federal High Skilled applicants. Canadian immigration is now so messed up, it favors the junks of the world and ignores the real skilled people. I myself have a Master's degree in Canada from a top University, have Canadian work experience, have foreign work experience, scores highest possible in IELTS, still I cannot score 529 for express entry. Conversely, a mediocre asylum seeker or fraud LMIA holder easily gets PR. Express Entry is no longer a stable system for skilled workers, it's now a lottery.\n\nBefore blaming international students for everything, you need to understand the real problem. Whether everyone is entitled to PR, NO! But, the skilled workers with excellent CRS scores (490+) should be able to stay to benefit Canada & get a good career for themselves as well. Otherwise, Canada itself will suffer from skill shortages just in a few years.

Not only is it it impossible to live here, there are no resources unless the government gets something from it. As an indigenous child who grew up in foster care my whole life, there was no indigenous foster care homes for me to go to and therefore my culture has become traumatic for me. My OWN culture has major trauma related to it and my foster care agency would NOT help me unless I moved to the reservation after I aged out the THEIR system, which was not applicable because they were the ones who traumatized me. When I turned 19, I was expected to have it all figured out, I was not allowed to remain in my foster home afterwards without massive paper work and thank god my foster mom cared about me because without her, I would be on the streets with nothing but a garbage full of clothes. I moved out on my own with the help of that family and my agency said they would help with things if I asked. As of the economy now, I did ask them. I asked them for any help at all and my social worker LITERALLY ghosted me and stood me up, even at my plea for help. You would think this is just my case but there are hundreds of cases like mine with even worse endings and what Canada has done with this information is nothing. Foster Care in Canada for indigenous youth is the 2000’s way of Residential Schools and I am EXTREMELY lucky to NOT be homeless and dead. Many of my friends in similar situations are dead or homeless and I have no hope for Canada, it’s an extremely depressing reality.

International students are allowed to work part time for 20 hours/week. If we are allowed to work legally what’s the purpose of stating that the jobs should be reserved for ‘Canadians’ only. Education is a big market in Canada and Canadian government is making good amount of money from International students. International students pay 2-3 times more for education than Canadian students. You don’t mention this in your videos. If you’re not bias talk on both sides of the picture. The problem lies with the Government that they allowed so many immigrants to enter this country and thus this became a problem. You’ve not done any in depth research about International students and how much fees they pay. We also have to pay GIC in the bank work $10000 to sustain if we don’t get a job here. We are prepared if we don’t have a job but if we are legally allowed to work part time 20 hours/week, why shall we not do that?? Please reply to this question logically

Indians leaving India in droves due to better opportunities for them, as well, the high amount of corruption with their government at all levels. This is directly from the co-workers I work with. Canada immigration is letting far too many people who shouldn’t be allowed here. Many of my Indian friends will vouch this as well. They all left Brampton to pursue other cities across Ontario. They agree, many undesirables back in India have come to our shores, with money laundering and crime. Canada literally needs an army of people to start deporting those who have lied on their documentation, add little value to our economy or country.

Many people might ask how the Liberal government issued so many study and work visas to young Indians, who don't have any particularly outstanding qualifications. It is because they allowed colleges to accept students and some of these colleges were created for the sole purpose of collecting high tuition fees, which wealthy Indians gladly paid for as it gave them a chance to live in Canada and apply for permanent residency. Trudeau (like Harper, incidentally) wanted to win Brampton and the surrounding areas so as to be able to form a government. These ridings could easily flip to Conservative, unlike others in Quebec or BC. Voters in these battleground areas were believed to be willing to vote Liberal, if they could have some representation in Ottawa, especially in cabinet. Even as a member of this diaspora, I think courting this population like this was a huge mistake. \n\nIn the post-war II period, the immigrants that came from Canada, were highly qualified, scientists, engineers, architects -- you name it, that had jobs waiting for them at universities and tech firms. If they were students, they came into Ph.D. programs fully supported with stipends. This generation helped Canada tremendously and made Canada a leader in crop science and microbiology research, just to name an example. Today, many here on student visas are working at Tim's or delivering Amazon packages, or even driving trucks without proper training.

I would like to provide a background to all the native Canadians who are wondering why the East Indian population is growing in Canada they are lot of education consultants back in India who market Canada as a lucrative country to immigrate brownie points for studying to get PR free healthcare free education till grade 12 so everyone is trying their best to come to Canada on a student visa.Once students come on a student visa they need to work 20 hours a week which they are legally allowed to work on international student visa so locals feel they are taking their jobs In US international students are only allowed to work on campus despite so many job opportunities.Colleges in Canada charge 4-5 times tuition which is profitable to the education industry and provincial government.Once these students Graduate they get open work permit where they can gain Canadian work experience and apply for PR and citizenship eventually.All this benefits the government and the educational institutions overall in terms of taxes and revenue..

700,000 of the 1.1 million that came to Canada are students. The international student system needs to be overhauled. The university/colleges who want international students must register with the feds. Those with permits MUST BE MADE to build, own, and provide international students with housing. When an international student is offered a placement in a Canadian education institution, they are also offered housing built by that institution. Once acceptance is made, then the details are sent to the feds and the visa is finally issued. This way, everyone who comes, has housing, it takes pressure off the domestic housing market, the students themselves know where they are going to be and how much things will cost, including the housing, and the Canadian institutions who want the stdents, have to now pay for them. This will force the education institutions to build more housing, lower the number of students they bring in, and offer much more remote learning opportunities if the program really does not require the students to come at all. Pass the bill onto the institutions, and the problem will quickly resolve. The federal government is being LAZY. If it wants people, it has to focus on a system that makes sense for people to come to Canada, insure the institutions dont take advantage of these students AND NOT shift the housing problem to the domestic market. The federal and provincial governments also need to organize themselves with each other. The provinces should tell the federal government how many they can take in based on housing stock and unemployment rate, and the feds only grant visas based on those numbers, and the visas require those coming to be in the province that has space for them. This way, you help to take pressure off the larger cities and spread growth to areas of the country that wants the growth. The approach needs to be bottom up, so needs and capacity drive the numbers allowed in.

This lack of access to health care is a new thing. I agree with your assessment. It now seems lonelier in Toronto. \n\nCanada used to be different because anyone with a good job could afford at least a condo, but life became unaffordable not just for immigrants, but for everyone unless you are in your 50s-60s and own a home. \n\nI have friends working double jobs supporting family back home in other countries, but for some of them the family back home sound like they are doing better than them and own a home. It’s like they are sacrificing their life to be in poverty or full of hardships and their families get to go out for dinners and drinks with friends. Not them. Not true for everyone, but for some yes and I worry about their own retirement because retirement in Canada without lots of savings means you might be homeless or forced to live with family even if it’s not your preference. \n\n without investments and savings, it will be hard to beat inflation. Getting into debt and getting bad credit can mean not getting an apartment. \n\nThe birth rate is going down because it is expensive to have kids and income isn’t enough to match with living costs. Getting help from government is really not something everyone gets access too. One person might get housing support, 10 others may get nothing. Different governments offer different things. Programs end and change often. \n\nIn Canada definitely bargain and shop around for good phone plans. one idea is to get a pay as you go until “Black Friday” then every year or two when your good offer expires there will be many others. It’s the time with the best deals saving almost half. For instance, I have 50 gigs for $25 for two years from a large provider. Telephone companies are the one place where people must bargain and even ask for better deals as a must.\n\nThe people you see living in big houses, will have kids that can’t afford the same. This is because prices keep rising. The system protects the very rich, but will also drain the middle class often within 1-2 generations. Do not link your business to your personal finance, or creditors can take your home. Some not knowing this lose everything and rich people know better. \n\nPeople live until they are very old, so inheritance is pretty much meaningless to rely on, so no matter what your parents have you must hustle in life. \n\nI do think Canada can become what we want over time. Citizens need to fight the trend of great community spaces, restaurants and bars going out of business and dumb corporations move in with bad boring restaurants. Like a McDonald’s where maybe a popular cultural hang out was. \n\nPart of the problem is a lack of mixed income housing areas, so it’s hard to stay living where you grew up. Artists and musicians help make a city great, but many cannot afford to live here.\n\nFamilies and communities staying together means more support for those with young kids and older relatives when they need help. Yet how is this possible in a city that is always pushing out lower income people when wealthier people desire the area. \n\nIn Toronto, every time you move you have to take what is available and that might mean moving an hour away from everyone you know. This weakens communities. Plus, if you live too far from your work you will have no time to socialize for most the week due to travel time. \n\nI think those who grew up in Toronto do have a certain culture of acceptance with others from many cultures, because your friends at school were from all over. But with new migrants sometimes it isn’t until the second generation that their social circles get diverse. This can be isolating and it’s even isolating as those from Toronto eventually leave dreaming of staying in one spot and not forced to move constantly when a landlord investor sells every house you move into. \n\n\nToronto really needs to protect affordability of housing for at least some housing in every section so that people can save money if they live in the city, and not have to leave their communities and be far from their friends and family. \n\notherwise eventually people get sick of the hustle and it’s too tiring to travel 1+ hrs each way to visit someone during Monday to Friday. \n\n20 years ago any professional could at least buy a condo. Not today. There is too much competition now and investors are allowed to buy up all the most affordable housing that once was a pathway to owning a home. \n\nRich policy makers got greedy and destroyed canada and hopefully diversity in leadership will help make Canada better. But they perhaps people knew to Canada can reject this lonely structure and help us rebuild Toronto into an amazing place. \n\nWe need to make sure everyone can afford housing with 30% of their income. I was born and raised here. I am doing my exit plan as I cannot afford to live here as young-adult living on my own. The government knew exactly what they were doing when they allowed 9 million people to come here in a short amount of time. How can you provide billions for foreign aid but can't provide basic necessities to your own citizens? I have cut EVERYTHING extra out of my life and even while working a full-time job I cannot survive in my own country. Canada is a country for the elite, cliche style immigrants, and for the ultra wealthy who pass down intergeneration wealth. A failed health care system that provides little to no services at which you pay out of pocket to get access with private health care providers. You can't depend on transit as it is the mercy of the corrupt transportation/commissioners aka unions and the cost of gas is out of this world. I AM SO LUCKY I went to university and graduated when I did because the same degree would have cost 15k-20k more...food is super expensive...renting an apartment is seen as a form of luxury....you have to know someone to get basic things done. What a shameful society...a society that treats immigrants with upmost respect only to turn around looking the other way when it comes to homelessness...the housing crises...lack of employment oppts, gosh I can go on. My brother was lucky enough to move to Dubai and cash in on his savings by investing it into his properties where he pays 0 tax on his salary from his job.

It is not only in Canada, Australia has the same problem. In recent years, the government has allowed too many immigrants to enter the country without considering the consequences. The number of new immigrants is higher than new houses, which creates a housing and rent price issue.

Re Indian students as a former teacher I have to also say that many Indian students coning here are lacking the basics. I also found that students educated in US states like Florida and Texas were around two grades behind. Many Indian studenrs here have high expectations but poor background and inadequate English language skills. It is a shame that people are getting into Canada with false documentation and credentials. Also they are enrolling in very dubious schools and it is no surprise that they find life here very difficult. Hopefully the Canadian government will take greater care to see that only suitable candidates are allowed to come to Canada as students. Also students from other countries should avoid coming here if they don't really have sufficient skills and should make sure that they are choosing reputable educational institutions. There are lots of private institutions with fancy names. Don't be fooled.

Toronto’s demographics structure changed dramatically with in especially last 5 years. And it looks like we are not allowed to talk about this. Government says they are welcoming international students from all around the world but 35% is from India. If we add other type of visas percentage goes even higher. Why ? I moved to Canada to live in multi cultural country. Is there anybody in government talk about this subject possible issues in the future?

That's why both of you are kids/student visas upon entry. Lol. That explains it. 30 years ago, only economic professional immigrants or refugees were only allowed to immigrate to Canada, it changes so much now. That's what happens when Liberal government is in charge, the country is destroyed with their immigration policies and quality of life of Canadians.

I don’t think the student’s are a problem as much as immigration itself.\nCanada has been very negligent the way immigrants were taking in to the Country. Instead of letting these immigrants responsibly come into the Country , they were stampeding into Canada without anyone watching that these people even were eligible or not. We have no doubt many undesirable’s who would not have been allowed under normal circumstances. Even now people have no place to stay, yet more and more immigrants are coming and sit on top of each other. How is this healthy for these people and how is this healthy for Canada and Canadians. The Government is so irresponsible, that they simply have to be thrown out !!

One issue you did not talking about is the international students taking the Canadian universities space from the Canadian citizen students. Especially for doctorate degrees canada government allowed only 3% of Canadian student to enter to this program the same as for dentist, laws and other this is unjust, and discrimination against the canadine citizen students after all those international students are not Canadian citizen and their English languish is the second languish, why a Canadian citizen student have to go to USA or other countries and pay doubles fees in order to get in to those programs. \nI want the government canada in order to make it right approving 97% of Canadian student application for those programs in all universities in canada and only 3% application for international students. This will resolve the discrimination issue, the houses crises, and the shorter of Canadian citizen doctor’s in canada. ??

The government and the people of Indonesia support Palestine, so it would be far easier for you guys to support Palestine when you lived here. \n2. There's no lgtv agenda in our education curriculum, same sex marriage is not allowed here. \n3. Islamic environment, well Indonesia is the biggest Muslims population in the world around 237 million ppl and also the country with the most amount of masjid (mosque) by far 800.000 roughly. And halal certified products is everywhere, even our mineral water is certified halal. And of course for sister sana and your daughters its free to wear hijab. \n4. Cost of living is way cheaper than Canada, and it's even cheaper than the middle East. \n5. Excellent video. I am a 29 years old Canadian with high education. I make 125K/year and yet after 2-3 years of looking actively I still can't manage to buy a house near the city as a first time buyer. I made many offers but lost every time. The demand is so high and the offer so low that many people bid way above the asking price even though the prices are sky high. Most of those people sold their previous house for a lot more than they bought it many years ago and therefore, are able to do so. First time buyers like myself don't have this advantage and the ones with lower salaries might never have the chance to have a house except if they move far from the city. Our government does not slow down on immigration because there is a labor shortage due to the older generation retiring but they don't build enough houses and allowed foreign investors for too long which results in the housing crisis we are currently in. My father bought a decent house near the city for the equivalent of 2 years of his gross salary at the time... Now the equivalent is more than 4-5 times my gross salary even though I make more than him at the time (taking inflation into account). Our healthcare and education systems are falling apart as well. Both are currently on strike in the province I live in due to terrible work conditions and salaries from our government. The cost of living has increased considerably in the last few years as well, especially the food even though the companies are making record net profits this year. Yeah... Canada is not doing well right now.

This is mostly the marginal explanation. What is actually causing the problems in Canada is PRECISELY the expectations of a high standard of living absolutely everyone has, including brand new immigrants. Who as if they were owed a palace immediately begin complaining about the work they have to do and the fact they're not immediately appointed the king of Canada. To put simply, we have an incredibly spoiled population, a population that expects low prices for everything and has a terrible productivity overall and does not wish to work in the kinds of jobs that every economy needs in order to fuel everything else. Food production is the so-called inceptive value. The more food you produce, the more people can consume it, and this in turn flows through the economy to enable all the other kinds of economic activity. We have to bring in hundreds of thousands of temporary foreign workers from Mexico just to be able to harvest. In the past, Canada allowed immigration from all over the world of people who were mostly poor, refugees, and those desperate for a new life. They worked all the time doing every kind of imaginable job in every kind of condition. They built this country with their perseverance and hard work. The immigrants today, are selected on a points-based system, and the idea behind this is that someone with two university degrees, or trained in a profession, even if they don't work in their field in Canada because they're all sorts of barriers to transferring your education, are not very likely to be criminals or antisocial types. Criminals or antisocial types. In other words, Canada has chosen to attract high quality candidates on the assumption that they would be less likely to become criminals, while they in turn, having been picked from the best in their society, arrive in Canada with very high expectations, and discover that actually they're going to have to work in all sorts of other kinds of jobs and will probably not work in their field, even though that's what got them the points to come to the country. This is the brilliant system brought in by Stephen Harper's conservatives, which brings in people with high education, and allegedly high skills, especially high language skills, so the government doesn't have to pay for their language training, but it doesn't consider the fact that these are very often people with other choices, who are not willing to work in construction or farming or service or retail or all those kinds of things that we desperately need workers in. The reason why we can't build enough housing has nothing to do with local governments and property values. It has to do with lack of labor. This education system, for some unbeknowned reason, is absolutely terrible, and provides basically no skills, training or education for the vast majority of high school students such that when they graduate high school, their forced to go to university or college. Since they have absolutely no training. In most parts of the world you finish high school and you have a trade, or you have some skill to begin working, the kids here know nothing. Nothing. Other than emotional safety, intersectional language, and wokeism. On top of that, the government has brought in every kind of environmental restriction and regulation on account of incredibly loud, but actually small minority of enviro lunatics, who most of the time use these environmentalism as a cover precisely for protecting their high property values in very luxurious and special places around the country, and they oppose logging and all sorts of resource extraction under the guise of environmentalism. But it's actually to preserve their special privileged position often in some wilderness or island, where they might be the only one or a handful of families who got lucky to somehow own a property. Property and so they oppose everything on account of environmental reasons. But it's just to keep people out and preserve their own privileged place. This country also as most others suffers from the illness of dishonesty and lack of integrity brought about by a culture of marketers where nothing is the way it is said to be. Everything is a fine print. And we have gotten used to this as normal. We've gotten used to having credit cards, charges, 25% interest, we've gotten used to being ripped off constantly by all the corporations for everything, and nobody complains and they just borrow more and they just bottle it in and now it's finally coming out. Out. People are fed up of the enviral lunatics. They're fed up of people who complain and bitch one moment about the pipeline and then complain and bitch the next moment about the high cost of gasoline when the pipeline is temporarily shut down for servicing. Canada is a great country if you wanna be a dependent slave to the government. No guns, free speech is policed and your children can be taken away if you dont agree with them taking hormones and having their genitals mutilated. America isnt perfect but id rather the US then living in a country run by far left wing idiots. Also Canadian healthcare is very overrated. Sure its free but you might die waiting for life saving treatments because the government doesnt want to allow any form of private healthcare if its already “provided” by the government. Most of the gun violence in the US is in the lower income neighborhoods and at least you’re allowed to defend yourself. In Canada if you defend yourself, straight to jail. If you have evidence of self defense youll be ruined by the legal fees. Its sad, Canada used to be great but after 8 years of terrible liberal economic policies the prices have skyrocketed and now canadian kids are being told they’ll never own a house. Who would want to stay here? Most canadians dont care though, as long as they get to smoke their pot they’ll always remain complacent.

In my opinion if you move to Canada without taking the proper steps and expect everything to work out for you then you are very naive and cannot complain. First off a lot of Kenyans are applying for visitor visas instead of work visas which are harder to get and thinking once they are in Canada they can look for work. You are not allowed to work on a visitor visa and most employers will not even consider your applications if you do not have either a work permit, refugee status, or permanent residency/ citizenship. Work experience is also very important here and many employers will not consider someone even with canadian education that has no experience. Another thing is Canadian benefits such as subsidized health care etc is only available to people that are on long term work permits with no conditions, refugees, and permanent residency holders and government housing is only open to refugees and permanent residency holders/ citizens. So in short if you move there without a plan, the correct papers, and the willingness to work even lower income jobs until you get Canadian work experience and expect the government to help you just because you landed then you are sorely mistaken and will very easily end up on the streets. Another thing is just because you are granted refugee status does not guarantee you a home as we have seen, the government housing waitlist is very long and even Canadian citizens that cannot afford their rent end up on the streets because there are too many people applying for housing. So please do not think just because you were allowed to stay as a refugee life will be sweet. \nHowever if you do your research and take the right steps so you are fully prepared, put in the time and effort even though things may not be happening immediately then you can have a success story.

The fact that Tyler is surprised at how many people bring up school shootings as a reason to stay away from the US is a scary indication of how much this type of violence has become normalized. I'm Canadian and throughout my professional life I've spent time working in the US. In fairness, I've met some truly great people. Also in fairness, religion seeps into US politics in ways that it never does in Canada and never in a good way. Christian fundamentalism is a scary reality of US life intent as it is on heaping hate on sexual minorities and taking away rights wherever they are allowed to. An additional point, but this one is only an irritant, is how ignorant so many Americans are about the world. At any rate, I'm retired and live with advanced kidney disease and a pacemaker. For those reasons alone I couldn't afford to live in the US. Thankfully, my country takes good care of me and my provincial government (Québec) even covers most of the cost of my expensive prescription drugs.

As a Canadian here are my views on the problems here:\n1.Government waste/spending\n2. Insane taxes, we literally pay taxes on our tax here. When you add it all up the lower tax brackets after their 15% gst pay about 45% of their income in taxes alone. Provinces like Nova Scotia are disgusting when it comes to the tax they pay. \n3. Easy immigration, we should consider immigrants based on what they can do for Canada, we don't need hundreds of thousands who can't work or refuse to work. It's a strain on the system. The immigration also artificially increases housing costs.\n4.Government corruption, it's part of why the taxes are so high. It's also part of the recent hyperinflation Canada has suffered. Just look up Trudeaus WE charity Scandall or SNC Lavalin Scandal, some even say Trudeau was getting kickbacks from the vaccine which I have yet to see evidence of but I personally believe it. \n5. Politically illiterate voters and propaganda, here in Canada the government likes to keep it's people uninformed and how they do it is through propaganda. The Liberals have every major news source in Canada in their pocket and in order for you to get news that isn't influenced by them you have to specifically search for them by name, those include Rebel News, TFI Global, and True North. Almost everything else is incredibly biased, they selectively report the news and in many cases outright lie. This causes extreme political illiteracy in it's population.\n6. Housing rules, here in Canada there are some really stupid bylaws like the main floor of your primary dwelling must be 900sqft in some areas, plus building codes prevent cheap construction of homes. You could have a tiny home on piers and it wouldn't cost much but because of our laws and codes it's impossible. You need a proper foundation, footings, building permits, ad in order to get a permit you need to submit blueprints, etc. You can't just buy a prefab building set it on piers and live in it. That'd be too easy, that'd make housing affordable and the government wouldn't like that. \n7. Woke indoctrination centers, The public education system here is all about putting in regular kids and pumping out future Liberal voters. It's a mess.\n8. You can't defend yourself, In Canada you aren't allowed to carry a weapon for self defense. If a criminal breaks into your home you are supposed to do everything you can to escape rather than defend your property. Criminals have more protection under the law than the law abiding citizens. \n9. Low wages, because of immigration wages are low compared to the USA for most jobs in most locations\n10. Thigs cost more in Canada than the USA after taking into consideration currency conversion rates, even things manufactured in Canada\n11. The cold. Nobody likes the cold for the 4-6 months of the year that the higher populated areas of the country have it. The more densely populated areas also tend to be the warmest. \n12. Fascist leaders. It's no secret Justin Trudeau and the Liberals are fascists\n13. Governmental links to the WEF, you'll own nothing and you'll be happy or so their add said. The truth is Canadians can afford less and less under Liberal leadership which is no surprise since Justin Trudeau and Chrystia are supporters of the WEF.

Healthcare in Canada is a team effort, so treating things like Covid with respect was done much more diligent. Canada had less deaths than places like Florida or Texas. It takes me 3 months to get a doctor appointment in the US here in Seattle and I was just told several months to see my eye doctor. Depending on medical plan the insurance means you do not go to the specialist without a referral. So Canadians may not have as much to complain about. My parents were immigrants to Canada because it was easier (my father was in Danish Merchant Marine and was in China Sea when his appointment would come up in New York). They did not have it easy because they did not speak the language and worked hard to learn. Working as a housekeeper was the norm for females and my mother's education meant nothing when she expected to work in a bank. Danes stuck together and helped each other to get jobs, with carpentry (most had apprenticeships like brick laying), to socialize, etc. and this is normal for immigrants. Working multiple jobs was normal and having a great home was their American dream instead of a government apartment. It is true for all immigrants that their kids will do better than the parents. The kids will have no accent if they learn English by age 12. There are age cutoffs on learning a language in child development. During the hiring process the jobs are given to people the interviewer perceives as being like themselves. This is proven by psychologists (I am one). This puts immigrants at a disadvantage unless they have a rare skill without competition. Dad got his house and Mom took my sister and went back to Denmark because of health issues and the US has garbage medical care and social services for the elderly (poor sister didn't speak Danish because it wasn't allowed in case it impacted our English skill). As a daughter of immigrants I worked 20 hours days and weekends almost all my life. I put myself through school and have been successful despite being female and making much less than men. Immigrants need to realize that it will be their kids who make the big bucks and succeed while the parents who immigrated will struggle. As a cultural mix (US, Canadian and Danish citizen because of wacky sexist rules) I have had a lot of confusion over the years trying to fit in and figure out what my values are. I have had to ask my US husband is that behavior normal? Of course different states in the US or going 200 miles north to Canada means a different language to speak (Canadian or Spanish in the South) and different values, ways of dress, etc. so being an immigrant can mean just traveling 200 miles north or to an insane state like Texas or New York. Culture shock is everywhere but most of us move for the money. I am thinking of going back to Canada but my home was Vancouver and that now looks like a hell hole. My husband had over a million dollars in medical care and I really do not wish to lose all my assets to medical costs in the US. So now I am trying to choose between death by earthquake in BC somewhere or death by tornado or perhaps fire storm in Calgary due to climate change.

Even of Burqa was banned, this will never reduce the statistics of terrorism.

I'll lay it out for you: Me: typical middle of the road liberal oriented Canadian. Non white, immigrant (I wasnt born here) I worked in a Refugee housing for over 4 years in Ontario. Most were not war areas refugees (Yes I know there are other types of refugees). I only encountered few refugees from war areas. ONLY 1 person from Iraq, about 2 families were from Afghanistan, 1 couple from Pakistan(I doubt they were real refugees they spoke fluent English, maybe political refugee), and a most from African countries. Its too far for real refugees to get here. Its Easier for them to go to other countries nearby or Europe. MOST SEEM TO BE ECONOMIC REFUGEES. Most were coming from Africa. Some are coming from Latin America, which shouldn't be happening. Once they showed up at our doorstep and we processed them into the system, they were immediately in the same class as a Canadian resident homeless person if they were making a refugee claim. We get money to house and feed them (from the government), and they are given a stipend for basics from the government processed through the Social Assistance/ Welfare system (they get less than a resident/citizen I think.). They then have to get their case processed by the refugee board, and most seem to get in. I've only heard of few getting sent back. One person I know at our facility, was given a subsided social housing apartment after a year in our facility. So they went straight from a shelter to a government/city owned subsidized apartment. (Didn't seem like it was a issue for the housing worker...they didn't report it (if they were not the ones that helped the person to get it), they were white, the housed person was Latin. This refugee claimant, and then month or two new Canadian resident person was given an apartment in a prime area of the city, instead of the 1000's of Canadians, those who came before them, and born Canadian citizens on an extremely long waiting list. How this was allowed to happen I don't know. The person was probably sucking on someone's straw. I'm just trying to think the barriers these people have to go through to get a job here. We are far removed from the time of the 80's and 90's., and housing and jobs are so hard to get. As a young child I remember viewing the Amish women as being in a chronic 'state of funeral' based solely on their signature dark garb. It created in my own (childlike) logistics that this was a type of society which I needed to keep at a distance from myself. I disliked their choices, finding them muted in a world layered thick in rich and vibrant fields of color. The color black in ancient cultures (apparel) indicates the refusal to acknowledge or be unresponsive, to be closed off. An interview with a very rich Saudi woman (living in Saudi Arabia), in how she spoke of her own frustration by not being allowed to own a drivers license, instead being driven in her husbands pricey Mercedes by a hired driver. She forced this issue on her local, home town government when she attempted to embarrass the officials of this primitive law, which in her view, had outlived its purpose and no longer applied to modern women in her culture. This interview went viral being shown on multi media networks and the town became embarrassed by the exposure. We should all applaud these women for their natural right to be free from outdated ritual and constraints continue to impose these indignities upon women.
