Not all Americans are with Trump or Putin. Many of us stand with Mexico, Canada, and Europe. Americans love their country, but many Americans are hurting and suffering and feel let down by our government. It's a circus now. We are sick and tired of the high cost of taxes, food, gas, housing, and now these tariff's that are only going to hurt Americans more.

I'm a Canadian who has always voted for Prime Minister Trudeau and I will continue to vote liberal. I heard a person on the Jake Tapper, C NN, this afternoon say all the companies are coming to the USA not Canada, he didn't mention that they come because they don't have to pay a lot of taxes. Us Canadians take great offense that the spawn of the devil wants to annex our country and he refers to our Prime Minister as governor. Canada has known for decades that we have put too many eggs in one basket - selling our resources primarily to the USA. We've had tariffs before and worked with them. Yet we still keep selling to the USA. This time is different. In conjunction with the tariffs, we have an American administration that is flat out insulting Canada. Saying we wouldn't exist economically if it wasn't for the USA. It's at a time when the USA won't promise not to use military force to annex land (Greenland) from a decades old ally. A time when clearly Putin is calling in his chips for whatever he has over Donald Trump. Canadians have had enough. We are directing our governments, provincial and federal, to finally, finally break from the north-south trade links. We need to establish stronger east-west trade links. The resources we have are wanted by many countries if the USA does not want them. It does mean much work within Canada. We need to get our AB-BC pipeline finished as well as the new sea terminal so we can ship our crude oil and natural gas to Japan and if need be, to China. We finally need to get out pipeline to the Atlantic coast finished so we can supply the UK and EU with our products. We need to double our rail capacity for shipping potash, uranium, rare minerals to Asia or Europe. Just as Trump hopes for a golden age of American companies coming home and building new plants in the USA, this will be a golden decade for Canada to create transportation corridors to get our resources to other buyers. America will have to look elsewhere for his raw materials. And we all know what that is - RUSSIA. They've already offered their rare minerals and crude oil. This is all clearly a well thought out scenario from the people working behind Trump to dismiss America's allies and trading partners - have us turn against the USA - as the excuse to open the door to Russian imports into the USA.

It's no trade war, it's protectionnism. Something you should have done way before in your 10-year tenure. Also, he's not allying Putin, he's negociating on behalf of world peace. You don't get what you want by insulting people, so thinking Putin will cease fire and retreat if you call him names clearly isn't the solution. It hasn't worked for three years, why would that change now? Also, stop giving away our money to Zelenskyy. Sit this one out, Justin, we've had enough. Respectfully. Canada must lead in the fight against the American imperialisms pushing for a world embargo against the US and become at the same time one of the richest nations in the world if not the richest one. while for the US citizens to invest all their money in BTC to ensure that they will not fall down with their government and economy.

I am Canadian and I love my country. I love Americans and my American family. What your President is doing is destroying everything he puts his hands on. Why is no one asking how much Fentanyl is brought into the USA Directly (not via Mexico or Canada)? Surely more is imported directly into the USA or even Manufactured on American soil than arrives from Canada?? We all knew the Tariffs have nothing to do with the border...it's been economic negotiations from the beginning...Also it's US demand for the dug that is the real problem not the borders.

The problem here isn't temporary. Tariffs may or may not be. But when Canada, Mexico, and other countries build alternate trade infrastructure and strike deals that exclude America, this becomes near irreversible and will hurt America's economy well after Trumps term. And that's just trade and economy.\n\nThen there are many relationships worldwide which are already affected, and world leaders are poised to move on without America - leaving it isolated. The US is the most powerful country in the world and can survive alone, but even so, no country flourishes without international partnerships that both parties can rely on. Like Putin, nobody can rely on Trumps word.\n\nHe is destroying everything. And the American public are largely sitting back and watching it. \n\nWake up before it's too late.

CNN, why are you not calling out Trump's lies? In 2024, less than two tenths of one percent of fentanyl entering the US in 2024 crossed the US-Canadian border. This was NEVER about fentanyl. How dare our president and his cronies blame Canada for the US drug addicts demand for drugs from our southern borders. All the drug cartels in Mexico. Central America and South America would not be smuggling their drugs to the United States of America if there isn't a demand for it. Suddenly, it's Canadians fault?!

The reason for this is Trump wants industry back in the US, and as long as people buy things from outside of the US cheaper, that's not going to happen. Thus the tariffs. So let me get this straight us Americans don't have the right to change the tariffs and what kills me is that when it affects you now you complain about it and that it's not fair. So what it says is that you knew it's always not been fair but you've never cared but now it affects you that's why you're complaining.

World leaders are elected to defend the interests of their own people, many times they just look out for their own personal interest, but they are definitely not looking out for American interest. It is up to us. The world stage is a complicated transaction of this for that. That's life. Have you all forgot playing United Nations in high school? Trade needs to be renegotiated from significantly benefiting every other country but USA. Trump is trying to do that.

I served alongside Canadian military when I served in the US military. They were very tough, honorable, and outstanding professionals. I have friends and family from Canada, and they love America. This trade war is so sad and so devastating for so many Americans and Canadians. These tariffs are so stupid, it's beyond reason. Trump is treating America's best friends and allies like enemies! This is not only dishonorable behavior by a US president, it is despicable!
