I don't hate east indians i have many as friends and even they know that the government is using them as a weapon against the people in order to own us all ( at least the ones the gov can't murder) i hope people don't fall for this obvious trap. I grew up in Vancouver, Richmond and South Surrey/White Rock. I have white, asian and indian friends. I have the same group of employees for my business. The issue is the new immigrants are not vetted the same way they used to be. Its not that its Indians, Chinese, etc, etc, its about who they are letting in specifically. The standards changed when the Liberals took power again in 2016. Nothing against Indians other than the standard of who we let in. We are letting in the lower grade of individuals than what we did before. My IT guys, who are Indian, agree. They say the government lowered the standard. My opinion is based upon asking my friends and employees what they think and know. They know its a big problem. And it doesnt take a person to be racist to have these observations. You just need to look around and ask questions.

I agree and appreciate your constructive approach to this issue. It would of been easy to play the race card the whole video. I can tell you that it goes both ways here with this issue. It is not right to put good and bad apples in one basket, the bad stands out here more than the good.\nI came from an area of very few Indians and been living in an area of high immigration for many years, so I came from a place of no prejudices. Unfortunately, much of what Canadians complain about are true as I experienced it first hand. I won't list this because others have. I absolutely agree that you are ambassadors when outside the home country, as I think the same in my travels. Overall I believe it is a blatant disregard for Canadian culture and laws, and lack of assimilation with Canadians, especially white, that has caused this to be the big part of this divide. I see, hear it, experienced it. I admit it leaves a bitter taste.\nImmigration only works when both parties can blend together and respect one another. Not separate yourselves, segregating others based on predjudices, and sticking to what you are familiar with back home. You came for a better life, but live the same as the past. It is like a marriage where one has to always take into account your partner's point of view, making compromises along the way for both partners, not exploiting the other's weakness, or disrespecting their views.\nThe government caused this issue to come more to the forefront in recent years by ramping up immigration numbers and putting pressure on the system. Canadians have now had enough. We have lost our culture, and feel like the minority in a country where we paid into the social systems all our lives, only to get little benefits, just more taxes, and see those systems being abused. There is no easy answer here.

As FRENCH, I think it is more an issue with policies set by both governments!!! You know you bring students IN and why don’t you build houses and encourage construction???? In France, many students (mainly Africa, and French departments like Guadeloupe, Tahiti or Martinique) come to study there (for free and we are proud of it!!!) BUT - unlike Canada - we do NOT have the same issues as Canada (our healthcare is NOT under pressure and our housing prices haven’t really increased that much as compared to Canada for example!!!) to me, the students are NOT to blame!!! It is the fault of the deciders (at different level) who have FAILED to set the right policies!!!! The schools are also to blame as some (not all) are so obsessed with making profits out of the higher international fees, which by way, subsidize Canadian students!!! So in Canada (not in France or Germany), the money that allows schools to function come from international students who BRING LOTS OF MONEY for the Canadian economy!!!! in France, it is different as the universities are FREE and are fully subsidized by the French government… but yes;) you have to speak French fluently to attend them!!! \nSo dear Canadians, do not blame foreign students thanks to whom your universities thrive and remain existant!!! Without them (namely the Indians too), the Canadian universities will struggle to find money and funding! Remember, the system in France is TOTALLY different!!!!

The Indian population has brought assassination to our land ie: Nijjar. The Indian issue is mostly due to the Sikh population. Here another afront to Canadians is the event that was held in Vancouver where approx. 1000 of Chinese descent were celebrating 70 years of communism in Beijing. Those 1000 should have been all deported as they were obviously not ready to live in Canada. There are many more examples of how immigrants are ruining our budding culture.

It not anti indian policy.. international student are not all indian .. there is other country citizen that are also not allow to get work permit as well . let not play the race card now.. indian act like you are alway are special.. when apply for your student visa there were term and condition.. and one of the term is that once your visa expires you must LEAVE the county. I think if we take the racism card off the table and think about these issues colour blind we might make more progress. Thank you for your proper thinking on this issue. I think the law enforcement should start giving people who are breaking the law more punishment when caught. There is no excuse for some of these very bad things being done. A huge issue with human trafficking in canada is that canada is the easiest point of entery into north america. Illegal entry is even easier. We have zero national security. And we don't care. So they get here they work to get to usa. Some choose to stay in Canada but usually they work quickly to cross. The usa doesn't hold the Canadian government accountable. These students have no right to protest. First thing they are not citizens of this country. So take a hike. The other issue which is the main issue is that we have a huge housing crisis in Canada. Where Canadians who were born here cannot buy a house because there's nothing really to buy and adding foreign students in the mix is just creating more problems. Eastern countries culture will never be watered down, yet we aren’t allowed to keep our westernised countries. I have no issue with being a multi-cultural country (Australia), however I take issue with multiculturalism. Immigrants of the past, would move to a westernised country and adopt the culture, lifestyle , mix with the locals and be proud to be one of them, that’s a multi-racial society. Multiculturalism on the other hand is Muslims and Indians etc that are known for not assimilating, instead living in enclaves and recreating their home country within our country. Why should these people who have zero interest in our culture , people and way of life be welcomed into our westernised countries where all they care about is using our resources? It’s absolutely absurd our governments allow this to happen! In Australia, Indians are the second highest intake, soon to be number one. There are so many of them, soon Australia will be India and Australians of all nationalities will be the minority in our own country. They buy up all the food businesses in the area, and fire all the non-Indians, they take up all the jobs in IT and low paying jobs due to being cheap labour. In teams, they ostracised the non-Indians on the team. Aussie suburbs now look like parts of India with them having multiple local fb networking groups where hoards of them take over the local park, playing their music loudly on the weekends. Ignorant people see them as mild mannered, they don’t see the dangers of how racist they can be to non-Indians and how rapidly they take over areas. When they become the majority in Australia, the non-Indians are going to be pushed out of their country. Unlike other migrants (with the exception of Muslims) they refuse to blend in and co-exist and become Aussies. They plan to overtake and destroy our countries into versions of their home country hell holes.

At the end of the day the main issue is the Government used Indian students to supplement the economy at the expense of the Canadian citizens. Now in 2024 the Trudeau liberals still refuse to pause it because of the economic impact it will have on their corporate friends and the schools. They also subsidize immigrant students which incentivises businesses to only hire Indian students. Canadians can't find affordable housing or a minimum wage job and Indians are paying the price. I feel bad saying it because I'm not a racist but I don't want anymore Indians, or any immigrants at all, here unless they fill a vital need in the economy. We simply no longer have the housing or jobs and it's as simple as that. Enough is enough.

Do agree with your perspective. There are bad people in every group. But we can't ignore the fact that the Punjabi filth is the main issue here. In their case it would be better to say there are only a few good ones. I have personally seen a large number of them who can't even speak basic english and have a CLB 9 on IELTS. I don't even wanna start on all the things that we see daily on social media. Again I'm not saying that everybody else is perfect. Just the fact that Punjabis are the main issue here.

Best of luck wherever you choose to go. Cost of living is a huge issue in Europe too - rents, food, property prices and so many other costs have spiralled out of control. The UK is particularly tough right now and most people experience a rude awakening when they come here - particularly London. Plus we have riots and real racial tensions now. I would not recommend anyone come to the UK unless they are wealthy.

I'm retiring this month. Trudeau has literally destroyed the Canada that I loved and cherished and having lived in 5 provinces. Thinking of leaving also where quality of live, affordability, safety and access to health care is not an issue like Portugal for example. We are being taxed to death in Canada.

Indo Canadian here. Anti Immigration <> Racism. It is about selecting need based immigrants and not project Management diplomas. We need nursing, Doctors etc and not Uber drivers. For those who are in healthcare qualified and driving ubers need a path to certification. The Other aspect is scapegoating as immigrants are the easy targets. While real issue is the policymakers who enabled this mess. Essentially promoting falsehood, setting false expectations and getting wrong allocation of immigrants. This is also fueling fodder to far right which are using this for scapegoating the victims over policy makers.

I think ppl who talk skin colour needs wisdom /education and it’s laughable who keep bringing words like brown black white for ppl.\n\n\nSecond students are majority of the demographics who create the non sensical acts \nMajority of them are teens or early 20’s \n\nNot the PR / citizens / ppl with work permits as we all r busy working and making this country better collectively \n\n\nBeing from India - we feel the world (not just canada India but the planet is like 1 big family and we all got to care for it while perusing individual dreams as well)

It's incredible how people around the world, seem to forget that most countries had shut down for two years during the pandemic, costing countries billions, the issue is the grocery chains, the ongoing confict with Ukraine and Russia, among other countries, crime has spiked, I put part of the blame on the legal system, I do hope you will stay in Canada, beats the USA, which is headed into unknown direction, Canada has very little earthquakes, volcano eruptions, typhoon, hurricanes, although Canada has had the coldest winter on the planet, we as Canadians are in most part caring countries, I also put the blame on the premiers taking money from the federal government and investing in cons, our prime minister has faults, he takes the blame for most issues in Canada, but, he better than the alternative, not sure which country you are thinking about moving to, but take in consideration of the pros and cons of your potential move, the cost of living, health care, job, vehicles, rent, wage, best of luck in your future endeavours

I came to Berlin, Germany ?? from India with my family in 2021 on EU Blue card. I work here as a Software Engineer and last month I got my PR. Below are my observations \n1) Not expat friendly at all - Most of Govt departments doesn’t want to speak English at all making us feel we are useless. Esp at initial level it is next to impossible \n2) Taxes are too high I have lots of friends in Netherlands in HSM visa and they have 30 percent off in total salary meaning taxes are charged on remaining 70 percent.\n3) Difficult to buy home in Germany ?? whereas in Netherlands it is super easy and banks easily give 100 percent mortgage. Many friends of mine took their own house on the very first year and their emi is almost equivalent to the rent.\n4) Openess to English is still an issue if Germany ?? needs more skilled workers which I feel they desperately need it they would need to be more open towards English which is a common linked language.\n5) People are not at all friendly and avoid small talks.

Many of my friends who studied Masters here in Germany are struggling to find a job and yet they say we need skilled workers. Where are the jobs.\nFor language issue why can't you work with companies and give conditional offer to employees that in 2-3 years you have to be fluent in German and give them an opportunity to learn the language and integrate.\nBut did we see this no and yet they say we want workers..Yes you will get people obviously the world is big but not the quality one and in some time your situation will become like of France and UK.\n\nAnd though I have finished my Master and working in a company for very less salary still i regret my decision to come here leaving my well paid job in my home country was the worst mistake. \nBut now i have to find a way out from here

The government is like this, because there is no Rental cap, and they allow Owners to rent out places for whatever they want in whatever shape. The government won't step into to ensure: rent paid goes towards your credit score, living conditions are good in these units, owners arnt over charging, and are Legal units; so then why would the Government step in now to help Evict tenants, and help owners be able to rent without fear this will happen to them/again. FYI Housing crisis is Government issue as well, as they are allowing Owners to be slimy as well in regards to doing and charging whatever they feel, for whatever they have (good living condition or not). The government created this craziness; of course they will take forever to fix it; like tax time- if we owed them money they want it ASAP, yet they owe us money- they take it into investigation (between now and a year etc) and then they eventually pay it out(if they don't decide to reevaluate your file)... The government broke it; they'll take forever to (not) fix it.

Today, many people from the region come to Europe not primarily in search of safety or to embrace a European way of life, but rather to take advantage of the social benefits that European countries offer. Unfortunately, many of these individuals support the same Islamic regimes or ideologies that people fled from in the past.\n\nIntegration into European society is often challenging, particularly when there is little incentive to learn the local language or culture. For some, the focus is on increasing family size to maximize the financial benefits provided by the state. This explains why it's common to see families with six to nine children in these communities. The goal for many is not to seek safety or assimilate into European society, but to live comfortably on the benefits available in countries like Germany and Sweden.\n\nTo address this issue, I believe Europe needs to reconsider its approach to handling migration. One potential solution could be to build safe cities in North Africa, where people can find refuge and work without necessarily relocating to Europe. The focus should be on creating conditions where people migrate for genuine safety and the chance to contribute to society, rather than primarily for the financial benefits.\n\nIf people are allowed to choose where they want to live, they will naturally demand the best possible conditions and benefits. However, if authorities take the lead in deciding where migrants should be relocated, it would likely reduce the risks associated with illegal immigration. By guiding people to safe and sustainable locations rather than letting them dictate their destination, we could decrease the incentives for dangerous and unauthorized migration routes. This approach would help manage resources more effectively and ensure that migration serves both the needs of those seeking refuge and the capacity of host countries.

Canada, like Australia and etc., faces a fundamental issue that makes it reliant on—or even more severely, dependent on—immigration. Of course discussing this fundamental issue is inappropriate for Canadians. The housing crisis is not caused by immigrants. While you can criticize immigration policies, they are merely the straw that broke the camel's back. It's similar to inflation; like, even if it remains at 2% per year, we will still experience the peaks and troughs of business cycles, just less intensely. Sure you can have a public housing program, where does that money come from? More and more tax money. Having to work harder to only end up with paying more taxes for those who either did not have the opporunities or didn't work as hard (who cares what the actual reasons are), just feels like a ripoff.

I'm Canadian. Canada isn't the same anymore. Everyone is basically broke right now, no onr can find work, and if you can, you still won't be making enough to keep up with inflation. Mortages and rent have doubled, food prices are robbing us, and we are taxed significantly only for our tax dollars to be wasted. \n\nAnother issue is Crime. \nCrime has gone up, Especially in the past few years. Not only car thefts and scams, but violent crime too. Every week, an international student, or immigrant is charged with the murder of someone in my city. \n\nMy biggest issue is that they can't find drive very well either.\n\nI'm not racist. Its important to have an open mind and be accepting towards other cultures. However, our country has fallen. I mostly blame Trudeau, his government is very incompetent. He has ruined our country

There is a distinction between legal heavily regulated migration and illegal unregulated mass migration . I am British so as you know we are experiencing the same issue it’s honestly the lack of assimilation, a large portion of migrants essentially replicating their home culture and a lack of respect for the host culture, also as much as we dislike to acknowledge it ,some cultures are incompatible with others , that’s not racist it’s the unfortunate reality . As a Canadian I can say I have no issue with immigrants or anyone trying to seek a better life as I am the son of immigrants. My issue is with our government taking in way more than our economy and infrastructure can handle at a time where it's already under strain. \n\nAdd to the fact they're almost all from the same race, it makes certain areas lose all diversity and a ripe ground for racist sentiments. It's not uncommon where I can be in a grocery store or restaurant and every single customer and cashier is an Indian. At the very least let's diversify where we are taking them all in from. \n\nThe cynical side of me makes me think they are desired by corporations because these people are seen as an easy resource to exploit since they're willing to put up with more and receive less.

As a canadian from Montreal who regularly cross the border on the weekends for hiking in Upstate NY, Vermont and New Hampshire. Let me tell you, in Quebec we receive more than half of migrants of all Canada and they are flooding Montreal and the social services are stretched thin, there’s not enough places in school for the migrant kids, all of new welfare recipients are migrants, the healthcare is near collapse and as a province we don’t have the power to solve the issues with migrants and the border because it is a federal issue and Trudeau is terrible. There’s line ups of migrants, blocks long, in front of welfare office and there’s now more crimes, more homeless people, more people who don’t speak french and english and who don’t know how the society function and don’t integrate well.

I live in Buffalo, NY on the Canadian border. For the last 50 years (my memory), we’ve never had an issue with illegal crossings. \n\nAlthough NYS is a “sanctuary state”, we are NOT a sanctuary city. Local police do work with ICE, as much as they’re allowed. There’s no free housing or benefits. Thats only NY City. \n\nThe border is in a rural area. The kind of place everyone has a shotgun of some sort. Walking up on someone in their back yard may not work out the way they think it will.

Reduced foreign ownership in our home real estate market (home should be for families, and not financial assets for international businesses).\n\nAnd like the video said some more darn infrastructure. In my childhood, I saw entire neighbourhoods being built in - timely fashions. Now it’s rare to see a single home under construction in my home city. This is the main issue in Canada. We are stuck in so many ways. Our economy is the worst in the G7, so we need to mass import migrants to artificially increase our GDP. But with that, our cost of living will artificially stay high from the increased demand on the housing. All while suppressing wages. All while our government refuses to increase our key natural exports, like crude oil, or nuclear materials. We really are in shambles. Really we need to rip the band aid off, and pause all migration from india for the next five years, not even allowing chain migration. Maintain a manageable rate of legal migration (the US normally has 1 million migrants a year as a high, to a population of 300 million). While getting our pipelines built. Stop the woke shit that is destroying us. Right now every housing project requires an 18 month pause to make sure that the native lands are recognized through a corrupt archeological study (ever since the residential school mass grave hoax). Build houses like crazy, allowing for one additional farm land residential severance. And then stop the regulatory suppression from the federal government on corporations. We have zero money being invested into Canada and it will lead to us having a worse economic outlook than Mexico in less than ten years. Imagine the world thinking of Canada as a third world country. That's where we are heading without some serious shift in how we approach our policy.

I have no issue with immigration when it makes sense. Even immigrants would say we have a problem here in Canada. It's not necessarily an immigration problem, it's a housing problem, an inflation problem, an unemployment problem, and a capitalist greed problem. You are right when you say that everyone is struggling and not enough is being done about it.

What's one of the main reasons why a foreign country would invite foreign workers into their country to work?? Because there are native citizens of that particular nation that don't want to work, they are lazy.. I understand the issue about overpopulation, but on the other hand, the opportunities have always been there for the natives to take advantage of, but did they?? So the government had to come up with a system to fill those vacancies, and in some cases, another reason why natives can't get a job, is because they are not qualified.. I think if an immigrant should be there with the aim to create a better life, I'm sure it can be achieved with hardwork and sacrifices, because a lot of us want to live above our means/ budget, spending more than we earn, instead of saving towards accomplishing a specific goal.. And i think a lot of people go with this false belief that that particular country is paradise, so they think as they land, their lives would be changed instantly, not knowing that they have to work very hard and make sacrifices to achieve their goals, and that's the main issue, they go without having any aims or goals, they go with the wrong mindset and attitude, and the list goes on.. And these students that are protesting, they should be trying to make a difference in the country to demonstrate to the government and the natives there that they are worthy to be a part of the nation, because they are not taking from it, but rather adding more values to it.. I think it all depends on the mindset.. And of course, i do agree that an immigrant should assimilate..

Why is Pierre afraid of the immigrant issue? I think - that they will all be labeled of being racists because they don't want other cultures and more people in the country. That's what it is. 100%. Not just students. Many industries are complaining about this. Logistics companies are the main issue as Sask is a problem maker as well issuing zero license for temp foreign farm workers just after the Humboldt crash. BC allowing foreign investment and stopping it cold turkey. These foreign investors have moved inward where they will continue to manipulate the economy until canada makes harsher sentencing for foreign interference and investment. We need more incentives and laws to keep manufacturing in Canada instead of allowing 3rd world outsourcing.

The real question is Canada vs Florida because the U.S. consists of many mini countries that have agreed on a common constitutional document and basic laws but otherwise are different countries. With that said Canada loses on every metric that matters to Florida. From economics to taxes to business to self defense and personal property Florida wins. The U.S. is secular but politicians of all nations will bring it up to some degree thinking this is somehow unique to the U.S. means you don’t understand the U.S. When it comes to political and religious diversity the U.S. has a larger population consisting of the entire world its by definition diverse. Canada doesn’t have sensible gun laws it just leaves those who can’t defend themselves at great risk.\n\nCrime is high in cities that have laws & culture closer to Canada than they do the U.S. Which have the strictest gun laws in the country. It’s bad politics & culture which are most similar to Canada that has resulted in higher crime rates. \n\nGun laws in the U.S. are for Americans to have the option to fight against a tyrannical government like we have scene in Canada with the truckers and mass freezing of bank accounts. That is what the right to bear arms was for first and foremost not just self defense.
