Before I moved to Brampton, I had no idea HOW MANY Indians actually lived here. I'm of south Asian descent but I grew up here as a Canadian. I still keep my culture but I'm Canadian FIRST. It's true too, some of them don't believe in deodorant, holy shit I literally had to tell a guy who sat beside me on the bus that he smelled. I know it was rude but if someone doesn't tell these people, they will think not wearing deodorant is normal. I miss the Canada I grew up in. My friends were mostly white but there was a nice mix of us: white, black, asian so we all got along. Today, everyone is in their own groups, strangers are the enemy, there is so much more segregation than there has ever been. Not long ago at a Tim Hortons I heard an Indian guy who was clearly new to the country telling his friend he didn't have to learn English because everyone in Brampton speaks Punjabi, it was insulting hearing that.....Listen up Indians and any immigrants coming here: BEFORE you come here, learn English, LEARN the customs and learn the CANADIAN WAY. You owe it to Canada, give something back before you start taking.

Isn’t it interesting how Muslims seem to always want to move to Christian countries? The question is - why don’t they move to Islamic countries? I will tell you - it is because the west is open and free. They come to these countries and take over. They have no intention of assimilation! Islamic beliefs are NOT compatible with western values. This is an invasion!

first of all we should stop this guilt trip about Muslims. if anybody wants to study Qur'an he she will see the book is full of hate. Muslims want to conquer the world either by converting or beheading. Please people don't be stupid. how is it possible that Canada is selling its own heritage and absorbing ones of any ethnic groups that come here. it should be the the groups that come here to respect the heritage and law of this country. it is the fault of spineless politicians that will kiss the asses of any group that whines the loudest. our leaders contributed to tge destruction of muslim homes by going to their countries to rob them form OIL. Now the gutless, two faced politicians welcome them here and giving them what's ours. I tell you what to do......stay away from their countries, don't send our soldiers to their men, women and children. let them govern themselves. Tell me. If your free. Cant you do what you want.. wear what you want... whos going to stop you? Islam is no more war filled any other religion. All have blood on them. but I also believe every culture has a place in this society. We created it.We created a society that is inclusive and fair and just. Canada is not a christian country... we stole this country from the natives and imposed our own will and religion on them... raped them and beat them until they surrendered... Tell me how christian that is?

As a Muslim living in Canada, I don't see the harm in a woman wanting to cover herself, I wear the head scarf myself, but in my opinions I don't feel the need to cover myself to prove I am more modest or a better Muslim.  I believe everyone has free will and has the right in this Country to dress the way that the law has allowed them to.  No one has the right to tell someone how to dress, not even the Prime Minister himself.  Telling a woman what she can and cannot wear is oppression.  I truly believe that if Muslims want to live in Western civilization, then they should refrain from covering their faces because the face is our identity and People have the right to know who you are and what your face looks like.  You cannot vote with a covered face, you cannot cover your face in a passport photo, you cannot cover your face for your driver's licence etc... I am a Muslim woman and I say this.  It truly is a shame how the media is portraying Islam and the Muslim people as a whole, and it truly is a shame that Canadians have become so ignorant.  I see more ignorance and racism in Canada than I do in America and 9/11 took place in America.  If you want to know about Islam, learn about Islam from a Muslim, a Library, google Islam, or offer to spend a few days with a Muslim family for research to get a better understanding of Islam and Muslims.  As a Muslim myself I can understand the hatred and the ignorance because we act according to how we were taught and raised, and yes we have many extremists claiming to follow the Islamic faith.  These extremists are not only hurting Western civilization, but they are also hurting the peaceful moderate Muslims that value their rights and freedoms as Canadians.  I do not appreciate ISIS hijacking my religion, I do not appreciate Hamas or Hezballah hijacking my Religion because I am a very accepting person and a very open minded Muslim and to be defined by media as a problem or a terrorist is very hurtful and a shame.
