I was never a fan of Trudeau, but compared to Trump he is a breath of fresh air. Give it 3 years and 10 months and Americans will be back to sanity. Don't know if America will be in one piece though. After the three stooges have fired everyone, and taken away their social security, and our soldiers dying for no reason against our allies, and the VA system disbanded from helping past soldiers who made sacrifices for this country, while the dollar has lost most of its value, while inflation is through the roof....yes it will be tough. To our Canadian and Mexican neighbors, do what you have to do to inflict pain on the meatheads in America who think Trump is their savior. They need to be taught a valuable lesson.

And this is why I do not follow CNN. This came up in my feed, and I wanted to hear what Trudeau had to say. And I wanted to hear him speak in French. But no, you booger globs must think that there are no people in America who speak French, and no people in America who would like to hear him speak French. You are part of the problem, CNN. And then to hear this woman say what she says after that talk is just appalling to me. Lady, you are a turncoat. You do not have your ethics and morals in place. Anti-American? Anti-American? Is that what you got from this? Where is your dance cap!? Get it together. My god, what a disgrace, CNN. This is junk media. Infotainment.

I’m a Canadian and no fan of Prime Minister Trudeau. It’s unfortunate the best speech he ever gave was after he resigned as Prime Minister. What he has said in this speech is absolutely true, despite the fact, I think Trump is doing some good things for the USA. This Terrif war with your neighbour is stupid. Unfortunately for us in Canada our Prime Minister has not given us the tools and freedom to grow economically and prosper the way we should have. Canadians should be living like Kings, but unfortunately are living paycheque to paycheque because of the stranglehold that our Prime Minister has put on businesses and its citizens. Now Canada has very little leverage, I believe to fight this Terrif war. Canada has become a pure Cradic nightmare, like the previous administration in the United States were overtaxed over regulated and spend money like drunken sailors on stupid things that don’t help us grow and prosper.

I know I will get attacked in the comments for this, but I grew up in the US watched many presidents come and go, and I have never seen the country that I live in turn so corrupt and evil in my life we have been lied to by our president. A man I did not vote for and it almost feels like it is turning into a fascist regime. After a couple of years Trump and co will say, that Canada started a trade war against US. Just like they say, that Ukraine and Zelenskyy started the war with Russia. We are all living in strange times! The bad guy (Putin) is defended like he’s the good guy and the victim (Zelensky) is criticized like he’s the aggressor. And that tight rope spans from one high rise building to another - the senate and house chambers of the US legislature. The midterms are coming soon and if President Trump loses the house and senate, that tight rope could snap! And all those shock and awe executive orders etc. could come back to haunt him like a boomerang thumping his head.\n\nNever in my wildest imagination would I ever imagine Canadians harboring bad feelings towards the USA! This is 180 degrees opposite of how things were when Ronald Reagan and Brian Mulroney were in the political arena!

I feel sorry for Canada. But what will these tariffs do to weaker Mexico? Do Americans really think that impoverishing Mexico will lead to less criminality and immigration from Mexico? This is crazy.

I really want to be a part of Canada. They have the most educated culture and the largest middle class in the world right now. And I respect them as a people. Canada has been the preferred access point for criminals and terrorist for the past 4 years. I have a place right on the border and 8 months ago I caught a young East Indian who already had several felony in the states and had been shipped back to India in previous years. Canada and Mexico are not responsible for the people in the US who chose to use drugs. As a European having lived in both Canada and the United States for prolonged times, my view is this: Canadians are basically the same as Americans but with Health Care.
