Reading as much as I could of the comments below, it is with great respect that we as human can still care for one another even when we are from different countries, continents, backgrounds an so one. Evil will always try to do it's thing and we must come together to abolish it. Being from different countries in this situation is not much we can do. Maybe stop importing from America, at least till this administration is gone in 4 years. The way it's going , America will lose a lot of it's allies and unless tyranny and dictatorship follows, we will vote the so called politicians out of office and claim our rights to a better way of life. Because now, America suffers and other countries will follow. And it is just the beginning. Learn how to become stronger and don't vote for convicted felon that is doing Russia's bid. Not sure how the followers can say with a straight face that what Trump is doing is for the betterment of our country . God bless us all.

I'm an American, and I support Canada in doing what they have to do to push back on trump/Republican insanity. I know as a senior on social security that I will be hurt by the push back. I will eat less and drive less, but I don't care -- Canada is doing the right thing.

I think it was Margaret Thatcher during the Reagan administration the one who said, Americans are notorious about choosing stupid presidents. So, what to say about that? What I've heard from some of my friends is that they don't care if democracy is gone as long as their taxes go down. They want a lower income tax bracket. They're very single minded about issues. We'll see how we fair once you have to pay more at the pump, when the price of electronics go up, when produce and beef, pork, and chicken become unaffordable. Yes, the middle and upper middle class probably don't care, but the lower classes and the already poor are not going to be happy. Once people are hungry, then you'll see people on the street. Once the farmers start losing their farms and small businesses start losing their investments, you'll see people on the streets. Americans are not hungry enough yet. Just wait.

I don't agree with tariffs. But Justin is a socialist. He agrees with interventionism. So he's to blame for rising costs as well. They're both at fault. He's in favor of universal health care. That's socialism. Now they pay the cost by having a medical care shortage. An MRI will take you many months. A surgery can take a year. Ridiculous. State wide monopolies don't work.

As a European having lived in both Canada and the United States for prolonged times, my view is this: Canadians are basically the same as Americans but with Health Care. They have a common heritage and history and this is like a brother turning evil and hurting its siblings. Trump is smart? I don't think so, he comes across as a low IQ individual born with privileges, heck he has been bankrupt what is it four times? Harris voter here, you gotta do what you gotta do Canada. I don't know if I will make it through this but there are people out there in worse situations with more overtly oppressive governments, so I can't complain too much. The only thing I can do is hope that the breaking point is soon where those of us who don't hold contempt for compassion and intellect rise up and show the government that we have had enough. I have never wished misfortune upon another human being before, but Trump and Vance have blatantly shown that they are legitimately evil human beings with only their own interests in mind. this is what happens with Trump, we will see how long the Americans will be happy with their choice. USA is out and can not be trusted. I'd love to think enablers of the current US regime would understand the utter folly of its policies (to dignify them with a label they don't deserve), but I think that's unlikely. This is pretty common in the US. Since most delivery drivers don't carry coins some people think that they can bully them into giving more back. I usually asked for a card and then took the food back if they refused. If they don't care that the money they take comes out of the driver's pocket why should I care that they didn't get to eat the food they ordered?

I'm all for legal immigration but I don't think the US can handle any more people at the moment. I don't know about anyone else, but it's been brutal for me personally to find a job for a couple of months just to get by until my other job is good to go for the season. I've never had to claim unemployment (I always found another job within a week or two), and I've been suffering for the past 6 months. I'm more than qualified for some of the applications I have filled out, but yet I feel like just because I'm a white woman, I get skipped over. I've applied to around 50-70 jobs and only had 2 interviews. Thankfully, I still live at home, but if i didn't, I'd be wayyy more screwed. I believe America needs to take care of it's legal citizens first, then we can worry about others.

Don't join to use my money to get surgery. With that said if your all ready trans and have the full body of your opposite sex; and are okay with times you don't get drugs every day then I dont care. Also women can not keep up with men on the ground and if they can and pass all the tests that men do, without a handicap and if drugs are not available then they should be ok with that. If a trans women flys then more power to that person but they should have the complete body of a women. In sports there are no cis women trans in mens sports, there is a reason for that. Men are stronger than women even with drugs, and women are weaker then men even with drugs and that is why no men are complaining about women playing in their sports. That's how you get the deals you desire.\n\n5. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 protects you from discrimination by age, sex, race, etc. DEI openly violates this.
