I’m an American and I just want to apologize to Canada. You have always been a good neighbor and a friend. You don’t deserve this. The Donald Trump version of America has shown that its treaties and its word are meaningless by betraying its own agreements with you. I am truly sorry. And I urge you to do what you need to do to protect yourself. The truth is that the America we all once knew, the one I grew up in, is gone.

I am so impressed with Trudeau for speaking directly to we American people, and bypassing the trump administration that he knows has its own mission not for our good.

It is absolutely a shame what the United States is doing now. I want to leave this country and I was born and raised here . I have been a proud American a proud African-American woman. I am appalled and ashamed I was born and raised in Detroit right across from Canada so I am very close\n\nwith people that live in Canada and it’s a part of my history. I am at a loss for words. As an American, i am embarrassed and stand with Canada. It's gotten so expensive to live here in California it's ridiculous and the IRS still wants 2-3 thousand in taxes every year if you don't have any dependents to claim.

We Americans are in the process of losing so much due to Trump. In my case, my Social Security and at age 72, I am terribly frightened. I took down my American flag due to the winter weather a few months ago, and I won't be putting it up again until Trump is out of office. May God Bless America. May God Bless Canada.
