As an American, I'm sad about what my government is doing to a long time friend. Canadians, I'm sorry about this.

Living in Michigan , Canadian are our close neighbors and friends. This is a sad day that will hurt both Americans and Canadians. You fought beside us in every world war. Canadians supported us and died for us during the Iraq War. Recently, bringing in planes to help put out the wild fires in California. We love our Canadian neighbors ❤‍?❤

And after how President Zelenskyy was treated, disgusting right for the news to see on purpose. Your President is way too close to Putin and who knows what other countries. Trump, and his cronies want the spoils and treasures of Canada, Mexico, Ukraine and Gazza! BTW Trump your welcome from Canada ?? for helping putting out your fires in California! But, then again we know you wont thank Canada! Hey Americans Canada ?? loves you! Alot of great history together! Lets not let trump and his cronies divide us!

I am Canadian, and I know very well that the majority of Americans are reasonable and intelligent people. Unfortunately, your president and his team are not. It's sad.

How truly sad and disgusted I am at Trump's attack on Canada, Mexico and all his allies. It is beyond comprehension that Trump is being allowed by the Congress and the Senate to trample on the Allies of the USA. I am in Australia and I feel the concern and the pain being suffered by Canadians, historically the like us, alllies of the USA, because of the treachery and betrayal by the USA, whilst supporting despots like Putin in its attacks on our democratic way of life. We are in dangerous times indeed. Where we end up only God knows. I know onr thing for sure God is not on the side of the USA in its treachery.

I thought this was not possible to impose this without voting it properly if national security is not a real threat under the US constitution... And the argument of trade deficit is such a weird concept. Would Trump agenda be more evil here, and use economic force to force Canada to annex them because they want our resources?

Just curious, currently (before Trump's Tariffs) how much TARIFFS does Canada pay for American goods and how much TARRIFS does America pay for Canadian goods? If Trump is increasing TARIFFS more than Canada, then that's sad.

Canadian here(Quebec) I feel sad for all the Whiskey industries in Kentucky, those workers didn't deserved the counter-effects of the tarifs. Everything can be done with respect & diplomacy, but it's not the road President Trump took. I don't even think the people who voted for Donald Trump wanted these tariffs against the rest of the world either....I really don't understand the sense behind it because this is not going to make America greater.... But I'll tell you what, he may be shocked and sadly mistaken when he finds out that it might just backfire ...this is a very conceited attempt to get the type of economic condition that he envisions for his new Dictatorship over America....he has alienated United States from its allies in Europe as well as its allies here at home.... This is probably about as dumb as his treatment of Volodimir Zelensky that just transpired on Friday at the oval office...and that idiot Vance is the one actually that has started that little debacle....I don't know man I thought these guys had more sense than to do this kind of shit.... I served alongside Canadian military when I served in the US military. They were very tough, honorable, and outstanding professionals. I have friends and family from Canada, and they love America. This trade war is so sad and so devastating for so many Americans and Canadians. These tariffs are so stupid, it's beyond reason. Trump is treating America's best friends and allies like enemies! This is not only dishonorable behavior by a US president, it is despicable!

What Trump seems to try to get at most is the unfair act of the USMCA. Most trades benefited Canada, while Canada refused to provide the same fair trades. Sometimes Trump does say things that may have gone off track like fentyl handling on Canada's end and border handling. It seems like our borders at the time were less strict on the American side versus the Canadian side of the border. Trump did state multiple times that most countries like Canada were unfair to USA. Even with the USMCA, America got screwed by Mexico as will. America has been there helping and supporting and submitting to every country. Yet failed to support our own people when we need it, especially to clear up our own debts. Sadly, America is falling behind due to poor handling of Government Democrat corruption. I am neutral as both parties don't always provide the best solution for everyone. You have to pick who can help the American people. Seeing how corrupt the Democrats has ran America and the defacto behind of all the wars and money laundering has surprised me, and I hope the change with Trump will help everyone realize how screwed we all are in correcting those corruption that isn't really needed.
