GREAT WORK I.C.E.

As a US citizen, I am sad for both Canada and the US. We were great allies, and now that is gone. I wanted to move to Nova Scotia and start a new life doing my art and be a part of a culture I love. This is why it is so important to participate in the election process! The future is uncertain, but for those who care about our countries, we need to work together to bring back democracy and bring down the cost of living. It is insane what we are experiencing now!

I live in a rural small town, retired, own my house and debt free . Low property tax and affordable housing and rents but in the Maritimes. Cities are the worst to survive in. I feel for all that are struggling but Canada is a great country and better than most but one must be willing to relocate to areas that they can afford to live in and still have steady work.

What I don’t get is America isn’t against immigrants coming to America (the legal way) but people want to protest coming here illegally and are upset people are getting deported because they didn’t come the legal way. I work with a ton of guys that came to America the legal way and are all for deporting the illegals back to where they came from. The legal immigrants work hard and pay taxes and illegals don’t pay taxes they get benefits and haven’t paid their dues like the legal immigrants had to do to get in. Taking care of illegals takes away from Americans getting the help they need and we have to pay taxes. They protest and wave the Mexico flag holding signs saying “Immigrants built America” and $hit on the things America has done for them. If they built America and are so proud to be from Mexico then why don’t you build Mexico up like you say you did in America. If it’s so great why are you coming to America illegally and running from your country. Do you think protesting and blocking streets and highways is going to get you anywhere with Trump and do you think your going to win the American people over by pissing them off doing stupid things like blocking highways and Streets. You don’t win people over by pissing them off and you don’t win Americans over Shitting on America waving your flag when this country has done more for you then your own country. I am an Indian in America and Indians need to develop India ??, 1) Ending the Caste System 2) Industrializing the country such as Manufacturing, Logistics and energy India has a lot of Natural Resources such as coal and Iron 3)Establish trading Partners with US, Germany and UK, Brazil. They are very strong and smart countries with a lot of great companies that could be advantageous. 4) India needs to be more capitalistic to avoid a brain drain. 5) Indians need to eat more meat and work out more, you look at the Brazilians and Nigerians they are great MMA fighters. I have not researched the Deportation of African immigrants, so I can not speak on it as much, But I do know what the deportation of Mexican Immigrants will do. It's going to have a ripple effect. Big American businesses will be unable to get cheap labor in various fields, such as construction, janitorial, landscaping, and many other areas of work Mexicans are giving American businesses. These Big American businesses that run America and have gotten accustomed to underpaying their Mexican workers are not going to be happy about it because they are going to lose so much money if they start hiring only American workers and have to pay them higher wages. So They will start raising the prices of everything, and it will crash the economy. I was in the Missouri when i got sick. I drove home and was diagnosed with a brainstem tumour. 10 hr surgery, 4 surgerical teams, icu, wks hospitalization. Months of rehab and homecare. The school even arranged a cab to take my 5 yr old to school. I have seen bills for pts who didn't make it home and had to have surgery in the US before being repatriated back to the icu i worked. It was an eye opener to see what they were charged for a box of kleenex, a catheter, an iv bag etc. I would have lost everything if i had to have surgery in the US. \nMy sister is currently in hosp in the US, and she is getting good care. I drove down last time she was in, and i was impressed by the lovely large CCU bay, but, hey patients are paying for it. She had a fancy postop CABG pillow to splint her chest when she had to coughed. It had a cute surgical heart on it. I am sure it cost $$. In Canada, we give our pts a regular pillow, some iv morphine and tlc when it hurts when they cough, no fancy cartoon pillow, but no bill either lol. She's a senior on medicaid so she's not going into massive debt or dying in her home to avoid going to the hospital.\n \nI have been travelling to the states since 1976 as a young child. I love the states, I have a lot of family there. My dad lived there until his death. My great grandma immigrated and died in Montana. I having a hard time understanding the migration north for a free ride. The jobs here are short and people are just starting to get back to work from the pandemic. Not enough work here to support millions of more people. If the migrate would have stayed in there country and got rid of the corruption and made their country great they wouldn't have left. For the 50 lacs Indians who work in USA directly for American clients, it feels so great not to work in India and give commission to greedy capitalists like Narayana Murthy. Client dollars come directly to their pockets and with 1 dollar = 87 rupees they reach their retirement nest egg faster and achieve FIRE (financial independence retire early) in their 40s. And yes work for 40 hours and every extra hour is extra pay. No 70 hour work per week exploitation allowed in USA.

Don't feel sad everything will turn out to be good. The same thing is happening everywhere in the workplace nowadays as it is comman and it we stand against it they say that we are immature and can't understand it.
