I'm not a fan of Justin Trudeau by any means, HOWEVER... Hearing his speech just now filled me with pride to be Canadian and standing up to the new autocratic fascist government of our southern neighbour. I've watched over the last +/- 40 days the UnUnited States of America devolve into Russia's lap dog, with Putin's excrement on Orange Man's face on a near daily basis. I hope that whatever good people left down there can rise up and take back their country ASAP, otherwise the entire world will suffer the catastrophic consequences!

How can this be good for America? I am not buying it. The tariffs I mean, the speech was excellent! :)

As a anti Trudope I'm actually impressed by his speech today, but make no mistake he's trying to stir up the relationship between Trump and the American ppl all to make his party look good to us.

There's many reasons not to like Trudeau up here in Canada, many of which are the reason he'll (rightfully) no longer be the PM next week. As a conservative I hated him for SNC-Lavalin (among other scandals), and the fact that his inexperience with the economy Harper left him is probably part of why this trade war is going to hurt more than it could have, and the fact that he's often been kind of a phony more concerned with looking and sounding good for the press cameras. Not this time. Nothing phony here; I've got to give credit to him for capturing the national mood pretty much perfectly with this speech. Good on him. \n\nAnd congratulations as well to Donald for pretty much handing the Liberals their best shot at a fourth term, too. What an absolute idiot. Normally I'd turn my nose up at having to vote Liberal, but I am so, so sick of the brand of empty populism Trump stands for that it looks like that's what I'm gonna be doing come election time.

This man announced his resignation in almost 2 months ago, then prorogued parliament, then backed the other WEF globalist dude immediately available even though never once elected to public office, and is now speaking on behalf of a country he has never really supported at all.\nHe reads a good speech, that was written by a speech writer, but his past decade of actions haven't been pro Canadian.\nCanada will be fine. Good speech but it is better to address the rightful concerns expressed by Trump and his Commerce Secretary, in an indoor meeting and adjust Canada’s policies where it can be done easily in partnership with U.S. Diplomacy and honesty is needed, not posturing! \n\nTrump is here to stay for 4 years with full powers and working with him after initial show off of resistance is the key to reduce pain for both sides.

Good speech. Now let’s also look at what has gone on last 9 years in Canada. Mr. Trudeau It was dumb to divide the provinces. It was dumb for you to shut down every project that Alberta had to work with other provinces and trade with other parts of the world. It was dumb for you to continually suck up to Quebec while ignoring the rest of the country. The corruption we know of that your party created such as We Charity and Arrivecan app is just the tip of the iceberg of billions of dollars you have robbed from Canadian taxpayers that could have fixed health care and provided much needed tax relief to all Canadians. While you are speaking about dumb I pray that Canadians realize and understand what the Liberal and NDP parties have done to our country the last 9 years and vote your party out. Well done, PM Trudeau. You made us proud as Canadians. You said it like it is. Donald, and I noticed you refrained from calling him President Trump because he is certainly not acting like a president, Donald is siding with our enemies, snuggling up to a malicious dictator rather than taking a stand for right and for the common good. He has absolutely no reason to impose tariffs and is actually breaking legal agreements to do so, but we all know that Trump believes he is above the law. If you like this speech, go and listen to Premier Ford of Ontario as he threatens to tariff all the energy which flows into the States or even just cut it off. Nobody wins in this war, certainly not Americans. But Elon and Donald don't care.
