It is sad that another country's leader has to address the American people in a way that the American Congress can not seem to muster up enough sense to realize and speak about.\n\n CONGRESS! GET YOUR HEADS OUT OF YOUR BUTTS AND GET IT TOGETHER.

As an American, I don’t watch CNN clips and believe what politicians say on either side to get my news. However, it’s absolutely true that EU, and China places tariffs on the US. It is also true that United States provide most of the security for all the free nations. At what point do we say enough? I do not know if Mexico or Canada has tariffs on US goods before this. But if they did, they have become quite entitled, haven’t they.

What the heck does Putin have on Donnie? Was it pedophilia on Epstein's Island? was it sex with boys and girls? Was it the mythical pee tapes? Whatever it is it has to be big enough to get Donnie to break with all the US's traditional allies which has to be making Putin rub his hands with glee. How far does this adjudged rapist, and 34 count felon that the US decided it wanted to make it's President, have to go before someone steps in and say that Trump represents a clear and \npresent danger to the economic and military security of the world? His administration forced New York's director of the FBI to resign because that man did not want to give up the names of personnel who investigated the Jan 6 insurrectionists. He put a known Russian apologist, Tulsi Gabbard, in charge. He has frozen aid to a country actively fighting for it's very survival against an aggressive and expansionist Russia. He applied tariffs against Canada and threatens the same against Europe., he has banned the freedom to protest in colleges though he freed people imprisoned for rising in actual insurrection against the Government. Dictatorship comes in steps isolation from the world and suppression of freedoms are but two. The free world weeps for what the US is becoming under this current administration.

We have our own housing shortage that needs to be addressed for existing Canadians who are struggling. I'm glad we are taking a pause and redifining the structure of how and who we receive into Canada. Until we sort out the housing crisis, which is in every major city, there simply aren't enough homes to help those in need and address newcomers who aren't financially self sufficient. If those immigrating to another country, they should provide their new country with their own financial means of support, or be of a profession that is in demand, the sooner they get jobs and pay into the system, the better.

If your country is bad enough to make you want to flee, why do so? Every country has had to struggle. Even here in the US horrible things have happened to it's citizens. You cannot run from your problems. They must be solved, one way or another. The US had a civil war. It was horrible, though you could argue the outcome was good. If you live in a country, you have a duty to be a part of that country. Whether that means voting, partaking in social norms, etc., you are a part of that. It is not another country's problem if that turns out being bad. If the majority of a country installs or allows in one way or another a horrible governing party or group to run things, it is their fault and theirs alone. Like sticking your hand into a hot pan, there are consequences. This will get bad before it gets good. Hopefully it ends good.

I’m sorry that your country isn’t safe or has a lot of problems, but people in the US can’t afford groceries either and the gov doesn’t help the homeless, disabled or elderly enough as it is. No one should be entering the country until every single homeless citizen has been given whatever appropriate help they need and a place to live. Until our own poor citizens have been given sufficient amounts for food. Some elderly US people get $23 in SNAP monthly and are expected to eat and survive on that, while illegals are handed cards with $800 on them to eat with. How is that ever ok? \nSome of us are existing on like $600 per month, we have veterans living on the streets. These things must change before we can help anyone else. I am not unsympathetic to your cause, but I see too many struggling citizens right now that I have to care about first.

There are enough trans athletes in the world and good enough shape to compete on a world in Olympic level and all the levels beneath those, that I'm going to say that if someone transitions who is already in the military and they can still pass all the requirements to remain in the military, they should be allowed to remain in the military. Edward Snowden, while in boot camp, and correct me if I'm wrong but I think he was training as a Navy SEAL, hopped off his bunk and his shins that were already broken disconnected and threw him on the floor. After his surgeries and Rehabilitation he was allowed to return to training. And this was with two broken legs that took weeks to announce themselves by disconnecting and misaligning to the point he could no longer Walk and Run on them. If a transgender man takes the physical fitness test...does that person get a waiver for not being strong enough to meet standards for men, or have they lowered the scores for everyone? Military has very close bunking situations. The issue of them needing constant meds. The cartels are probably a step ahead of them at the moment. \n\nI can’t believe the auto industry lobbyists were not instructed to go full send on the detriment of the opposite position taken from the NAFTA. The only thing I can see is auto sales are slumping and maybe they can blame this on the tariff policy for massive restructuring. \n\nI kind of understand wanting to negotiate with Mexico because they probably buy less American goods than Americans buy Mexican goods (drugs excluding) but I’m guessing Canada is a better customer of American goods than Americans are of Canadian goods. Why would you want to upset a good partner, customer, and ally!? It’s Beyond my comprehension…. If Trump was really smart he’d convince some factories to actually invest in Mexico with cooperation from the Mexican government investing in efficient transportation from the manufacturing sectors to the American border and the coasts for distribution. This would likely really help their economy and change the whole dynamic of all the things Trump has issues with. Fix it at the source not try to treat the symptoms.

Maybe I shouldn't like this but I do. Firstly, Canada has the luxury of not really needing to protect itself, they get to spend 3% what the US does on their military so they can focus on other things, like letting immigrants into the Country to price out the native Canadians and jailing people for misusing pronouns. Also, I want to see the US become slightly more isolationist, I'll happily pay more for US products. A tariff is paid buy the businesses who attempt to pass that cost down to the consumer. We need tariffs high enough that making things in the US makes more sense to these businesses.

As a retired Marine, we do not need transgender's in the military. He is a NOT a she, regardless of what it says. I live in USA legally. And I am a citizen. There is not enough housing. Even if the Housing is not an issue. The health care system is collapsing. It used to take 1-3 business days to get an appointment. Not it’s 2-3 months. It’s a dramatic change.

I'm an Indian american immigrant stood in line for over a decade to get USC. We as a country can give up bananas and whatever else comes from these countries, there is enough food here to survive etc, it is matter of month or so before the country realizes they can not survive but USA needs to be cleaned up from illegal immigrants period.

No offense, since I don’t know if you guys drink coffee or not, but You do realize other countries export to the US. Have never heard of Guatemalan, Brazil, Peru, Marrocan, Ethiopia, Belgium, Costa Rican coffee? Arab countries etc. They all make great coffee. Coffee is not only from Colombia. There’s so various countries producing great coffee .\n\nThey all export coffee to the US. Unless you ONLY like Colombian coffee this shouldn’t be a problem. I’m sure this benefits other countries to expand. Each with distinct flavors and aromas. \n\nStarbucks imports coffee from over 30 different countries from Latin America, Africa, Middle East. \n\nIt’s like if Trump puts a 25% tariff on French wine. I love my French wine and it would suck. But I still love my Italian and Washington State wine.\n\nBananas like mention also come from other countries as well like Guatemala, Costa Rica, Honduras etc. \nBasically other countries exist that benefit from this. The only problem I could see is they can’t produce enough . Which I doubt. And I’m sure African countries or other countries can under cut prices if others try to inflate prices just to get market share in the US. \n\nAlthough, coffee prices are not only determined by supply and demand. Country of origin and brand also plays a role. Like I said it’s like wine. I love my cheap Washington State Merlots and my Italian Chianti, but people still buy over price California and French wine .

ALSO WE KNOW THAT THERE HAS BEEN A RELEASE OF THE PRISONS IN THOSE SOUTH AMERICAN AND CENTRAL AMERICAN PRISONS WHERE THEY TOLD THE PRISONERS AND MENTAL HEALTH PATIENTS IN THOSE COUNTRIES THAT IF THEY CAN GET ACROSS THE AMERICAN BORDER THEY WILL BE FREE AND THEY WERE SHIPPED TO THE SOUTHERN BORDER AND GIVEN FREE SHOT AT A LIFE IN AMERICA AND NOT IN PRISON.... You guys gate kept the jobs from Canadians, rejecting our applications and pay us unliveable wage, then cry that you dont have enough workers, only to go get foreign workers to replace us.Then cry about crime rates and the housing market. Canadians want to work!!, we have been working for many winters now!!, but you guys keep preventing us from working because you want cheap labour. cheap labour comes with a lot more economic issues than hiring citizens. I mean how far you would go thinking world is stupid and you can prove it.\n\nSORRY, there are hard working, intelligent and qualified Indians that get visa and there are people who get visa on family migration quota for example but many others, give me a break.

The passport ranking is because of how Indians behave in general. If I was a nation I would make sure I don't let too many Indians in. And I would also make sure that the process is difficult enough to dehumanize them as they try to get to my country. \n\nAs an Indian I am happy that this is happening. At least now we will all work towards building this nation up to serve all our needs instead of fighting with others to let them into their house.
