The moment they cross the border, “open fire!” That’s a violent attempt to invade this country and should be met with deadly force. Do you think they wouldn’t have hurt or killed the law enforcement officers trying to stop them from invading? They do it all the time and it’s time to fight back forcibly.

Over 300,000 homeless veterans wander the streets searching for food and shelter currently. Dying at an estimated rate of 22 a day due to self inflicted harm….the system in place to take care of them and provide comprehensive medical care is crippled and broken….every SINGLE ONE of these men and women has a head full of bad memories and experiences from defending their country in war (some missing limbs)….can’t hold a job and have trouble finding a job….NOONE is making substantial and reinforced efforts to care for these brave men and women. Yet, if you cross that border illegally you’re given shelter (free stay at 5star hotels in NYC sound nice)…comprehensive medical care…food stamps and even job placement for some. And in some cases, we’re providing that help to individuals who are simply making a pit stop between Mexico and Canada because it’s better for them there according to some. Frankly, we have enough issues that are swallowing us whole and need to focus on building up and caring for our own citizens and force stop mass migration, strongly enforce deportation as well as employing more case workers to help with legal immigration process. We spend all this money sending to Ukraine and yet here we are, cutting our own throats to save someone else’s hand. I have no issue with legal immigration and asylum but you need to go through the process like those before you. I know this is asking a lot but it IS possibly to make it work

People make all kind of tremendous excuses to cross the border.

Everyone you are actively watching a plan put forth by the UNITED NATIONS to destroy the USA from within by by collapsing the social and economic structure of America by allowing 100 million illegals to cross the southern border and any official who does not actively try to stop it is guilty of treason. The amount of immigrants I see illegally enter and cross into El Paso are insane. I know this from living right next to it all. We are talking at least once a week seeing 8+ individuals at once or even more. . . Women, Men, young Teens and even children. . . They enter our homes to find a safe haven and flee from border patrol that is roaming the streets and it’s a constant battle of keeping your home safe from people that may or may not be good people. It’s unfortunate. My grandfather immigrated to the US from Mexico years ago and did so legally. He established our family here and any other relatives since have crossed legally and obtained citizenship. It’s a hard and long process but it’s necessary.

Its been going on for years now ever since Slow Joe Biden invited everyone to come and dismantled the policies Trump (Our Real President) enacted that we’re working by preventing most migrants from attempting to cross our border. They trying to picture like this is happening all days and at all times with no control. Don’t be so naive, even tho this is new it is not happening 24/7 Have you ever being at the border crossing? There is a lot of security and even when you cross with a visa the officers act like if you wanna stay there when you are just a tourist. Most people rather loose their dignity to go to a country where you are being treated like ? But I would never treat bad a gringo in Mexico because Im educated and have manners.

Just close the border and extradite all who cross illegally.

I am an American living in Québec. The woke media would have you believe these are refugees. These are illegal migrants, many of whom are facing expulsion from the US. Thank God this was just closed. We in the West need to immediately extract ourselves from any and all international conventions on refugees. These are economic migrants. Real refugees couldn’t afford the trip to illegally cross the border and are in some refugee camp overseas. Millions of taxpayer dollars in Canada are wasted on these faux refugees. Deport them now!

There is a huge backlog on legal applications for a lots of immigrants who applied legally, families torn apart and have long weight. They are already in the USA, there are sanctuary cities, New York was just dumping them off there. We tax payers are flipping the bills for them while so many Canadians are living on the streets. Those who are mad and outrage by this, you can go ahead and sponsor them, that mean you are legally responsible for all their expenses. As Canadians, even when we cross the border we got to have our passport and we go through a lots of scrutiny. Fill out the paperwork and wait to be processed, because right now we are already in crisis with lodging and food. USA is the one who must take care of those who cross their borders.

As a hardworking Canadian, it is very sad and frustrated to see how people just cross the border so easily from the US when my immigrant parents who held bachelors and PHD needed to sacrifice so much to raise me. They had to do labor work in factories. Those people who seek asylum will enjoy so much such as free housing, food and education support. All the services are coming out from the taxpayers like me. I have been taxed so high that I almost cannot afford a place in large cities like Toronto and Vancouver. In my opinion, Canada should restrict the number of people seeking asylum every five years. It should offer less benefits to those people as well.

Personally, I have zero issue with immigrants..but you must do it legally, PERIOD! Once you cross a border illegally YOU are now a criminal by law and SHOULD be treated as such & immediately deported. We all have suspicions as to why a certain political group allows this to happen though & it’s to the detriment of actual Americans. With everything there is a right & wrong way of doing something…and the wrong way should always come with consequences.

If it was up to me, I would do a trade. I would swap 1 Guatemalan for 1 of them liberal extremists. The ones that say they hate the U.S. and how we need to pay for all of their colleges. Also, The one's that think you should be arrested and doxxed for hurting their feelings b.c maybe you grew up taught if you saw a female you called her a her and only females can give birth. \nI would take them, people b.c they would work hard, love the opportunity given to them here, and be thankful to be given starting amount of money& benefits enough to kick start a new life. and when they could pay it back they would actually pay it back. I do think some immigrants are Bad actors. Like cartels that exploit, leverage and steal from other immigrants who pay them thousands of dollars to help them cross the border. Then they might track them down and, bribe, threaten or force them to take drugs or money back and forth across. \nThe border is a multifaceted complex issue, it's certainly rung and leveraged by our politicians to extend their political agenda.

They come to Canada because they know it will take years to process them, they get to live for free on the tax payers dime. Full medical and dental and housing as soon as they cross the border illegally. \nSadly, 10's of 1000's of immigrants that are trying to do it the legal way, have all been put to the back of the line due to the govt using all resources to process all the illegals.

I have mixed feelings about this. I feel like a total first letter of the alphabet-hole for not thinking of helping right away. When I lived in San Diego, it was a palpable daily reminder. Lots of people have cross-border lives. Family, work, home is on either side of the border. Now living up in Washington State, it's different. Here the border with Canada is all about preventing Canadians from stealing technology from us while allowing them to work for us. Some partners who come visit us often times get searched for technology. Like pen drives, samples, etc. It's a totally different story. Canada probably has less homeless than all of south America. It's an easy claim because literally, if you can't insulate your self in winter you go visit the great gardener Jesus and his weirdo multipersonality disorder. In south America, you just need to eat and not get eaten by things. So the result is that people survive way below the poverty line. Then, the big lie tells them that the US is better so they come over to eventually learn how the others found the three headed gardener the hard way. I feel like maybe if they got a tour of the country and learned how shitty it is to live here too, they might think twice about coming over. There are periods and ways when the US opens it's borders but it's looking like a real shit show right now. We don't have enough jobs and not enough houses to house everyone. At least in south America you can live in the family house and no one bats an eye. People help each other in poverty.

Canada is too soft on illegal migrants. Thanks to PM Trudeau. Once they cross border, they applly and claim for asylum. After allowing them to enter, they start lving a good life while the asylum app is in process. They get free health care; free housing, free foods, free education all at the expense of Canadian tax payers. They receive better compensation that poor Canadian seniors. When thei asylum is denied, the stay and hide..

For example, all these illegal immigrants, known as asylum seekers, who cross the Canadian border daily via Roxham Road in Quebec - Ottawa forecasts that they will be 50,000 for the year 2022 - are taken care of by the State, and as long as their refugee status is not established, which can take three to four years. Thus, in the meantime, they do not work since without a work permit. And who should take care of it in the meantime? The Trudeau government is irresponsible!

Okay so this is how third country agreements work. The paperwork in the offices in places like El Salvador is piled higher than the fkn Empire State. Nobody in their right fucking mind would want to wait until their wives are raped, kids taken into cartels. If I'm gonna go by the third country agreement, my family will be taken out one by one by the members of the cartel before the embassy even starts considering my case. So that leaves me with no damn choice but to cross the border illegally. And even then, there's no safety as I'll be hounded by the same guys all the way to the southern border with the States.

I would give them a treatment similar the country they come from, not a five star hotel treatment. Then send every illegal immigrant in their country. Strip immigrant, facilitating illegal immigration, from the citizenship and ban them from entering Canada for 10 years and ban them from ever getting citizenship.\n\nBut we don't ever strip someone of his Canadian citizenship if they committed crimes.\n\nBUT COMMON SENSE IS NOT THE STRENGTH OF THE LIBERALS. \nWE HAVE A CRIMINAL AS A PRIME MINISTER.

So as expected -- just reaction instead of pro-action by the FED. And this is with people from China !\n\nJust imagine all of those slick willys that have come over from the middle East in the last 5 or 6 years. They have our system down to a social science slam-dunk and the kids they have watching the border are just there to make sure they nail you to the cross with TAX in incoming goods... than actually watching anything.

That guy clearly said that Canada welcomes all immigrants. These people risked their lives to cross the border. I remember all the stories about people getting freezer burns just to escape from US but now they just ended up in the same predicament. That’s very sad.

As a Canadian I feel sad for all the families who cross the border seeking refugee status and don’t get accepted, but at the same time you can’t just come into a country illegally, without proper documentation and with no threat back home and expect to become a citizen.

Media needs to stop painting these people as Victims\nThey knew that would eventually will happen since the moment they crossed illegally. Why they pretend to be victims once they get caught????? The victim in reality is the legitimate American citizens. Please tell the true, You all know you have done break the law when you cross the border and now you got caught. So do not play the poor victim, you know what would happen if you got found. 20 years plus and do not learn english.. Dey do not like to assimilate but they paint themselves as the victims. What, did he think he would be given a free ride? Does he actually think immigrating to a new country wasn't going to cost him anything? How many years did he live in the US? And now, in Canada for the last 10+ months, yet he can't speak a fucking word of English? \n\nNow he complains that the process is taking too long, yet, had he immigrated legally (as he should have), it would have taken FAR longer and would have to spend that time inside his home country...\n\nI really don't get his attitude, he feels as though he's entitled to immigrate to the US, even though he made absolutely no effort in doing so legally, made absolutely no effort into learning the most widely spoken language on Earth, so he became a criminal by illegally crossing the border and living in the US for years... Then, when he's about to get busted and deported back to his home country, he pulls the exact same thing, illegally crosses the border into Canada, taking the money he's stolen from the US with him, while STILL unable to speak either official languages in Canada where speaking Spanish is about as useful as a condom in a lesbian orgy, nor making any effort into actually learning said languages, and tries to claim refugee status? Refugee status for what? He's not fleeing any war or conflict, the only thing he's fleeing is deportation to his home country from the US because he crossed the border into the US and lived there ILLEGALLY, he's a fucking criminal... And yet, he STILL feels he's entitled to cross the border into Canada and thinks they'll welcome him with open arms...\n\nWhere do these people get the idea that they have the RIGHT to just enter whatever country they wish without having to go through the immigration process? These processes are there for a reason, we don't allow just anyone to immigrate here...\n\nImmigrating to the US is a PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT... Immigrating to Canada is a PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT... \n\nThe fact that this guy and his family have entered 2 countries ILLEGALLY and stayed within its borders ILLEGALLY for all this time, and in both cases, REFUSED to learn the language, and when he was about to be deported back, he fled and kept hiding from immigration officers... That makes him and his family CRIMINALS, and rightfully so... They should be found immediately, arrested and subsequently deported back to the US to face whatever charges, and then deported back to his home country... Period...
