Hundreds of years ago all your native homes were part of the indigenous people here and they didn't even have time to complain or lament online when the Europeans butchered them and massacred their homelands, claiming the land and setting up as their own. Now you are in a position to call something your home and we all know what all your ancestors did regardless of how good you are right now. The least you can do is not comment such provocatively online against other ethnicities or is this atrocity still there in your blood. It's very simple. @Harrison, there a bunch of holes in your story an thus superficial or lacking, yet has potential to be more Canadian in that you need to differentiate a bit more, attention in the details that you may have missed, votebank, Punjab province certain cluster of uncouth or gang type, instead of drawing in all religions and races and the best educated like how the US does with it, instead of a votebank cluster, that make up only 3% of the Indian population, yet 50% of Brampton, yet Canada is slower to do such. I was expecting this video to show Indo-Canadians in a bad light. But it showed the exact opposite. As the journalist mentioned: White Bramptonians were mostly homeless and drug addicted and old. While the Indo-Canadian population was young, educated, well adjusted, optimistic, and temple going believers in God while having good family values

I was raised in Guelph ON, and I loved my childhood in Canada. My friends were white, Sikhs, Bosniaks and Vietnamese, I loved how diverse and welcoming Canada was. At 12 my mother had to stay in the hospital, quick admission, everything free, great doctors and free meds after. That is the Canada I remember.\nAt 16 we moved to NY, life was harder at first. I joined the US Navy to get ahead in education and move away from NY. As time went on I made a good life for myself, married and got a nice condo. My mother got married and made a good life for herself too. \nNow 22 years later, every single one of my friends from high school moved to the US 'cause they could, not one person said they wanted to live in Canada. I still consider myself a Canadian with the Canadian values *I* was raised with, but the Canada of my youth is gone it seems. Honestly make me sad.

I’m very disappointed by this video. I recently watched another one by True North about the poor state of the Canadian military and agreed with it 99%.\n\nBut this just seems like pandering to petty divisions and bigotry.\n\nI’m no SJW and agree there are legitimate reasons to question immigration and related policies. I don’t just expect we hold hands and all get along suddenly.\n\nBut honestly this wasn’t a fact based, objective analysis of the issues. It was pointing out statistics of demographic imbalances (with blatant graphics) and suggesting that on its own was bad. \n\nIt was asking non-East Indian people and East Indian people what they thought about these issues. The questions were loaded and leading and the answers were cherry picked, especially regarding the East Indian peoples’ responses.\n\nAs an attempt to get likes, attention and comments this, like countless divisive crap from both extremes, was a success. But from an objective, rational stand point this just comes across as being bigoted and ignorant.\n\nLike look at most of the comments. Typical ignorant and hateful spew like close the borders, screw Trudeau, they don’t work, etc. Anyone who studies history sees these usual, predictable slogans and laugh. Again look at the comments. Even tho most Canadians in the earlier years were mostly white, it was multicultural because they all came from many other countries and cultures. They still held on to their traditions but yet also formed a Canadian culture.\nTheir was a huge population of Chinese people too. They stuck together in large areas, many didn't speak english. Similar to Quebec maybe. They mostly spoke french and I remember a time when they didn't really like english speaking whites around. Seems like the premier would like it to stay that way. Protecting the culture. \nIn the 80's on the west coast I watched thousands of Sikh's and Punjabi's and similar move into large areas and take over many jobs in large companies. Lumber mills, rail yards, papermills and so on. I went to one job interview and outside the office window was a whole shift of people wearing turbans. Must have been 50 to a 100 of them. 3 years earlier when I toured that place in grade 12, it was all white people. What happened? That was around the time of the recession and jobs were getting scarce. The only people in line for job interviews were white people and the interviewers would not accept anyone without grade 12 and previous experience. Here is what I overheard as people were getting interviewed, Experience? No. NEXT. Experience? Yes. Graduate? No. NEXT!\nAfter 6 months of this I moved to oil country Alberta and Had 6 job call backs in the first day. At 2 to 3 times the pay I would have had in BC. Never looked back. But now that the industry has been attacked and the immigration has skyrocketed, Alberta is in decline.\nJust my 2 cents worth, and the people I mentioned back then, I have nothing against. I knew many and they were good people. \nBut the immigrants of today I feel to many are of another breed and not the same as before them.

I remember when Canadian Indian comedian Russell Peters called Brampton his hometown Browntown, and he's right it is a brown town, as you see in this video. I remember visiting my uncle and aunt in Brampton in the 70s when I was young and it was the whitest city I have ever seen. There were no Indians or Pakistanis or Chinese or black people whatsoever living in Brampton at that time it was known as a white suburb. Compared to where I lived at the time in downtown Toronto in Regent Park, which had a very multicultural neighborhood.

I moved to Canada as a child with my parents 41 years ago. It isn't just inflation and cost of living that is the problem. It's the dramatically increasing racism and discrimination, even against people who have been living in this country longer than the racists discriminating against them. Seriously? My kids and grandchildren have Canadian accents and were Canadians from birth. But should they leave and return to the same crap??? What disgusts me more is that the PM dares to include immigrants with refugees, under the banner that 30% of the population are immigrants. Under the law, refugees are temporary migrants and usually nothing more. To bundle immigrants who came to Canada through legal means of applications, brought hundreds of millions dollars into Canada with them of their own hard-earned money from their own countries, to have it taxed out of them, and their families deliberately put into poverty so Canada can fulfil its 19th century-PM Macdonald immigration policy of, and I quote from a Canadian federal government website, quoting PM Macdonald directly, about breeding out the Indigeneous people, is beyond sick! The refugees get a free ride at the expense of hard-working Canadians, 90% of whom came from immigrant stock! What happens when Trudeau says these deceitful lies about legal immigrants is that the racism and discrimination increases dramatically. I have been left in agony in hospital due to evil racist Canadians who thought that my accent meant that I had just flown in yesterday and what right did I have to be there? Police refused to charge a neighbor whose son was threatening the life of my grandchild because the neighbor works for the CRA! Other people have the same complaints. Democracy? What democracy, oh, and please spare us Mr. Trudeau the claim to be a constitutional monarchy, when most don't want the monarchy as a head of state for Canada! I have been honored to have known, still know, and will know in the future, many good, hard-working, caring and decent Canadians, but Mr. Trudeau, can you explain to me, how many of those were actually of immigrant stock and how many have forgotten where their families came from? Canada used to be a good country, but when a person has to keep explaining where they got their job experience from and if they have any Canadian experience for every time that they look for a job in their lifetime in Canada, something is very wrong with Canada. Most jobs in Canada are blue collar and very few are white collar, yet Canada still continues to deceive the world into believing otherwise. Canada is a great vast and beautiful land, but only a small percentage of it has any infrastructure, roads, or homes sufficient to house what is a decreasing fraction of society. Refugees take preference over immigrants and citizens alike. The lie about the homeless is getting bigger. Most homeless Canadians today are veterans, elderly, disabled, mentally ill, poor, and professionals and trades people, yet Canada brings in countless professionals, claiming that their education and experience will get them into the professions that they are coming from. It's all a scam! Canadian education is not the best and yet people with better educations and job experience are being forced to spend all their money to go back to university or college to get jobs that they rarely will be hired for. Canada is not short of doctors, just short of professionals who hire professionals without using discrimination, hatred and racism for their HR kit! Many taxi drivers are doctors, engineers, and so on. So, please stop lying to the world and tell the truth. And no doubt this entry will be taken down because it offends a Canadian who doesn't want the world to know the truth.

Funny how they want to blame immigration. Jobs are everywhere but employers know that immigrants are more disciplined, hard working and appreciative of the opportunities provided, when compared to the average Canadian-born citizen. I've seen it first hand. \n \nOh and, the influx of Indian immigration boosted Canada's GBP by $20 Billion, last I checked. America is a good example, Indians and Pakistanis are the most successful ethnic group, everyone else is behind. As a born and bred, white, Canadian citizen I can confidently say Canada has gone to absolute shit. It is fucking embarrassing. Our fall from grace under that piece of shit Trudeau is historic. We have become a joke. This country has become trash, on SOOO many levels.

I am 59, white Canadian born, self employed, no employees, and in the Toronto area. I can't hire an employee, the skills are just not there. What I do requires a high level of technical skill across a wide range of technologies. Also good verbal and interpersonal skills. I also feel like I can't trust most of who might apply, based on previous experiences. Morals and ethics are simply not visible. And now I can't retire and move back to my hicksville hometown as house prices have gotten to the point where it would be stupid to buy something, it's not possible to make those kinds of mortgage payments. Fun times.

I have lived in canada my whole life. \nHere are the main hurdles:\n1. Cost of realestate and cost of living. You need white collar wages just to be able to rent, not buy, rent an apartment in most major cities. Cost of homes is insane as well.\n2. Jobs often pay low wages below what is needed to afford to live unless its white collar or trades working overtime hours. The jobs that do pay well often get hundreds of applications making your chances lower.\n3. Dentists cost an arm and a leg. The cost of it is insane unless you have a really good coverage plan from your job. \n4. Healthcare moves at a snails pace. Not good if you have a serious illness or disease.\n5. The climate overall sucks. Its not cold. Its ridiculously cold.\n\nMy advice: Be made of money. \nSeriously though, have a huge savings and have a long term financial plan. Getting jobs that pay a living wage here as newcomers here are HARD to get because they always want Canadian work experience. University education from other countries other than the US, UK, or Australia don't count here. Be prepared to live very humbly unless you are just made of money.\n\nI dont even want to live in canada anymore. I am almost 40 and have very little to show for it despite working full time jobs with overtime my whole life. Looking at going almost anywhere but here. The housing crisis and cost of living are the dealbreakers for me. You shouldnt need to be making $75k/year just to afford to RENT a decent apartment. Theres something wrong here.

I will tell you all something funny, Canada made me a citizen in just two weeks. This happened in Sept of 1987, and it was done via the Canadian citizenship centre in Mississauga Ontario. I had an interview with the judge, who was from Pakistan (that is not a lie), then I was sworn in as a Canadian citizen in the chamber and a government employee as a witness. This is a true story, and how things are done in Canada. Well....for white people like me at least. ?

The federal government is actively replacing the old stock Canadians with non white immigrants essentially changing the tge Canadian culture and value system. Crime and homelessness is rampant in every city and town across the country . There is a very serious housing crisis as i speak. The country is short upto 4 million homes driving up the price of real estate and rental housing. For example where i live in British Columbia a 1 bedroom apartment rents for $2200 per month for a 50 year old apartment. It costs about $100 dollars for a single bag of groceries. It costs about $4000 dollars per month just to exist. All of that and our government has gone the way of socialism and our rights and freedom are being removed at an alarming rate.

Many Filipino,indian,pakistani engineers, whom I knew, spent many thousand us dollars went to Canada with their families to improve their lives.but, when they arrived in Canada, they worked not as an engineer, but worked in a position below engineers, like skilled workers.so, salary is low,everything expensive. Almost ni savings and you feel racism.so, almost these engineers with their families went back to their native countries.their credentials accepted and worked as engineers with good savings.canadian government and most white Canadians think they are superhuman.so, I never think to go to canada.see the results, many Canadians homeless and the Canadian government doesn't care.if gov cares, where is the program for the homeless ?

Our family has been in Canada since the 1600s. I think it's time to leave. Gun confiscation, media bought off by the state, anti-white racism, sabotage of the oil industry by government, censorship and of course the catastrophic economic situation brought about by incompetant and doctrinaire government. The worse though, is that the government we've had for the past 8 years does not have Canadians' best interest at heart. They are puppets of the globalist and ruthlessly implement policies, such as carbon taxing that not only fuel inflation, but bring misery on a significant portion of the population. They even hiked the tax a few time in the middle of a recession. Oblivious or uncaring about the financial ruin they are unleashing on the average Canadian.

A South African who lived there a few years. Nothing felt better than getting on the plane to leave, and knowing I will never have to return. Even South Africa with the crime and load shedding is by far better. In many ways a man is more free here even if i have to live behind security systems. I can speak my mind without fear of some PC police and censorship, which is far worse prison. My standard of living is also far better here. I can ride my bikes as I please where in Canada I can only ride a few months and would lose my license in a month due to BS fines. And the people here are much more open and truly hospitable, not some fake politeness. I even missed the blacks here, who at least i can joke and chat with far easier than with canadians. I found I have more in common with black africans than with white canadians who look like me and speak the same language. We may have the same skin colour but are totally different in culture. It made me realise I am more african than western, proud of it, and I would prefer to live and die with the african sun on my face with wide open space, than in some dark, cold, gloomy place living in cramped quarters in some libtard paradise constrained by so many laws. 20 years ago, already a Canadian citizen I came back to my country of birth. The Canadian dream became more of a nightmare. I faced so much bigotry and arrogance from so many Canadians. Behind that smile and political correctness was so much contempt against newcomers. Holding a U of T master’s degree meant nothing as my hands holding it were not as white as the ones who were eventually employed. My accent, considered “nice” as a tourist, became a motive for rejection and disdain when trying to integrate to that society. It’s no surprise that many of us are not willing to stand such scorn.

I am 10th generation Canadian and plan on leaving one day too just not sure when and where to go. Affordability is not good, no special things for the long term generations that their whole family grew up here, nothing with banks, nothing with education, nothing to advance careers for myself or my children, non allied people getting in. I remember when there was stricter immigration laws. I remember when one man could support a whole family. I remember when citizens would walk on one side of the street and allow others to pass on the opposite side walking from the other direction on the streets as well as in the stores, when people had more courtesy. I remember when people could joke and not get offended, when people would stand up for one another. When a community was a community. When you could be Christian and not considered offensive. When it was safe to say bless you and not be told to shove it etc... when you did not have to witness riots on the streets and a people divided and it was not believers and non believers either as the non believers would still be peaceful in the past. It is much more than that now. Now it is you are white and racist, which I am far from but have been accused and am very baffled at that statement because never in my life would I in the past ever be accused of that. I am now like, wow what am I witnessing? I just feel something much greater is going to come, but not knowing when. ONe thing I fear is there will be an all out war and it will be whites or Christians being the target one day.

It’s been 5 years for me here and I honestly can say I have achieved nothing in my life yet. It scares me when I think I can’t return whatever my parents had invested in me. The fact is you’ll never have a good paying job in Canada being an immigrant. When I say this trust me I mean it. Most you’ll get is a minimum wage job which can make you survive the life here. Taxes are high definitely and what I feel is you’re working to make someone else’s life easier. \n(P.S: people who’ve stayed in Canada will understand who I’m implying to)\nNo one wants to be your freind, scope of socializing is zero coz mostly it’s cold round the year so everyone hardly come out, especially in Northern provinces like Yukon, Saskatchewan, Manitoba.\nHealthcare is a joke. If you feel sick and not well and you wanna see a doctor be prepared to wait for hours and hours. I once had stomach infection and I had to wait 5 hours till someone could see me. I asked for painkiller at-least so I could bear the pain but they refused that as well. You might well see someone you love dearly and with whole heart die in-front of you and you could do nothing. (I’ve experienced it myself hence saying)\nYou’re a lone survivor who’ll always keep fighting. \nThe only person who can make money here is businesses and high paid jobs which are reserved to Canadians. That’s how Canada’s job market is. Canadians’ first and if there’s something left they’ll look at you. By the amount of money people invest here they can establish a nice business back in their country itself and earn accordingly on own terms. \nMost importantly you’ll cut yourself from all emotional supports like family, freinds etc.\nI was social person back in India who liked making new freinds and memories but it’s nothing like that here. \nAnd it’s the same life, no different.\nYou wake up, dress, eat, go to work, come back, eat, sleep. No different.\nNo fun and nothing. You actually don’t live in present, you live in an expectation of a better tommorow.\nYou’ll always have a smile when you greet someone but I guarantee you no one’s gonna check on you to if you don’t start a conversation even with a simple “Hi”. Mostly Canadians are nice but again some will systematically judge you and say nothing but you’ll see in their actions, the way they’ll talk in a twisted way etc.\nYes I’m not saying that Canada’s bad or it’s no good but trust me it will take forever to build a life here especially with the number of people moving here from round the world. \nIf you’re well off financially from back home Canada’s a paradise for you. Indeed it’s a beautiful country with lots of beauty and lots to explore but remember everything comes with a cost here. Everything comes with a cost. People need to stop believing in this fake illusion and come only if they got a purpose here. The only reason why they’ll let you in the country is for money and once you’re in you’ll have to keep spending, doesn’t matter if you’re broke or whatever you have to.\nOnce I earn I’ll happily give up my PR status and go back to India as i very well know what the situation is how it’s gonna be in future.\nSo just one piece of advise to every middle class person like me, guys please invest and spend your money wisely coz we know how hard it is to earn and it’s high time Canadians start appreciating what immigrants like us do for them by burning ourselves day and night and start realizing that their past generation once came from some other part of the world as well and settled here. Being white doesn’t make you a nice Canadian, you’re actions defines you more than your words. \n90% of this country is built by immigrants and that’s how it’s gonna develop in future, so if they keep treating us the same way good luck to them ?.\nAlso a plus note to anyone thinking that Asians are stealing your jobs, go get outside and have the balls to face them and take it away from them. Staying home and ranting and abusing us that we’re taking your opportunities and blah blah isn’t gonna work. We are so successful round the world because we are hardworking, honest and respectful to everyone. Even if we’re earning minimum and barely surviving here we always make sure we’re not burden on the government or anyone else and won’t keep crying.\n\nA big shoutout to all you guys who came here in the hope of a better future but are still struggling.\nKeep hustling and you’ll reach there, if not step down and go back and start your life again on your home soil. Most immigrants come from more conservative places. They don’t wave rainbow flags and get all libtarded about social issues. They see a prime minister that is a flaming liberal and large cities failing due to liberal policies. And most of all the pushing of liberal ideologies in public schools on children. They are not having it and I don’t blame them one bit. I welcome Islam as it is the only religion pushing back on the gender fluid rainbow flag waiving liberal Canadians. Islam is the best chance to get things back on track in North America. I am saying this as a Canadian born white guy.

As a Canadian I am actually going to set up a business that's taking advantage of America's horrible healthcare system. I actually wanted to move to the United States every since I was a teen ager. I went to the Detroit area and they failed me in nursing school. I found white Americans to be quite feral and maintain sadistic tendencies and arrogance as necessary cultural value. Regardless my life in Toronto, Canada has turned into nightmare and I still think America is a better place simply because you have more options and job opportunities. Would I prefer to live in the United States? The answer is YES!!

I think he needs to relocate back to Nigeria. It's foolish to leave a house and 3 cars to face racism. Getting a Canadian passport is not a big deal. I got my British passport 12 years ago, and I am still struggling in the UK. The west is hyped. If you have wealth in Africa, stay there. I recently resigned from a top 50 law firm where I faced extreme bullying and sabotage from a racist colleague who would misguide me and report me behind my back to my supervising partner (I'm an employment solicitor). Id have to save my work on the desktop instead of the shared documents management system because of my client work being sabotaged. If this is happening to solicitors, imagine non-lawyers. I have recently set up my own recruitment company, I vowed to never be an employee in the UK again. Working surrounded by white people is something I will never do until the day I die. The only time I will work with them is as their employer, evenso, I am very careful in my recruitment, anyone with red flags doesn't pass my screening. I am working towards building a non-toxic workplace.

More than a century behind the modern world, that's what Canada is when I take a glimpse of the Canadian mindset. It's indeed ridiculous white supremacists and Western hegemonists that stuck in the world of the 19th century while Asia is growing so rapidly. Forget parents, even many immigrants are unhappy in Canada. Every time I run into an Indian who has studied or lived in US he is frustrated. 2 people in my team received their Canadian citizenship and have started trying for positions in US. 3 white Canadians in our company moved to US in last 2 year itself.\nCanada is not a great country from parents. It's cold, white and depressing throughout. Many parents can stay for relatively longer in California or Texas where there is vibrant community and weather is very much like India. I lived for 10 years of life in snow before moving to Canada - Massachusetts, North Carolina and Virginia. I just 2 winters, I feel depressed in Canada as it's white for 4 to 5 months.

If you have really faced racism as a black person or non-white person, I would stand with you and support you.\n\nHowever I tend to be quite skeptical when it comes to charges of racism and white supremacy. But I'd be willing to hear specific examples of your personal experiences.\n\nIf some hostile person calls you the N word, then yes, that is racism. If you get pulled over for speeding, get fired from your job or don't get hired, there a lot more factors to consider before I would judge it to be racism. I would need to know the inner attitudes of the people you're dealing with.

As a white Canadian male I freely admit that many Canadians are racists. Not only that, we are polite but we aren’t very friendly. I try to be nondiscriminatory in my ways. Unfortunately my grumpy disposition usually gets me into trouble.

Its not about the colour of ur skin, its about attitudes. 90% of the time when dealing with African Americans, u can tell their waiting and looking for racism, get upset when they dont find it. There are racists every where in the world its a sad but true fact. Western Canada in particularly has this problem within Canada. Alberta where she is located has a significant MAGA type presence of ignorant white supremacist and separatist types. They don't even like other white Canadians from other parts of the country. Canada as a whole though is far better than the US when it comes to acceptance of other cultures. As a Canadian I am sorry for this woman's familys experience, ignorance is not an exclusively American thing.

I live in Ottawa, Ontario and grew up in a Canadian surburb and honestly I can't complain..lol \n\nActually, my parents have done very well for themselves. I know plenty of Haitians who have done very well for themselves too.\nMy parents are both retired enjoying life ??\n\nI live in a white neighborhood and never had any issues. I only had issues with black kids.\n\nCanada has a horrible history as well, especially with the Natives however, I'm still glad I was born in Canada ??\n\nI'm blessed to be able to work from home and make a six figure income.

As a Canadian I can explain our problem: Our elected PM. He's absolutely gutted our energy sector and has made it clear the only economy that can function in Canada is Quebec & Ontario's economy, which accounts for government employees and white collar workers.\n\nThat's lead to Canadians moving to the US for work, home ownership, lower taxes, etc etc.\n\nCanadians that do stick around: Aren't interested in running a business, they tend to wind up working for the government for that stable income, and the only reliable way to get a good pension w/o managing your own finances.\n\nOur PM blames Canadians who own a house and a rental property rather than the thousands of foreigners who've been let in who buy 5+ properties to collect rental revenue.\n\nBusinesses won't invest in Canada anymore until there's certainty in our economy - And Trudeau ain't offering any guarantees besides wish washy threats to cut sectors.

I pay 11.5% of my income directly to pensioners as a contract worker making less than 50K in 2023. At total tax rate of 26% all inclusive. I have to live at home, and I can't find a single job that isn't contract work, and I'm a designer who's worked with F500 companies. The best Canadian rate hourly is 30$, my American contracts have paid 135$ an hour. It's such a bad deal to be a Canadian millennial. Canada has two classes. The ruling pensioner elder class which makes up 60% of the country and everyone else that they've impoverished. Canada has poor pay, worsening living standards, extremely high white collar competition, few job prospects and a disintegrating social fabric. But somehow I think this is the story of the entire commonwealth right now. So that makes us no different, and I don't really believe the grass is greener among the G7 either.

I will say I have been lucky in Calgary (moved to Alberta in 2011; became perm res in 2018) with my healthcare. I have a great liver specialist and family doctor as well as a backup. I just fell and cut the back of my head Monday (2 staples but nicely done; I do not feel any pain). I know that is not common for people. I think some of it is timing based on the comments. It will only get better if we quit USing it (i.e. politicizing it). As an ex-pat watching that dumpster fire, moving to Canada in 2010 (first year in YVR) was the right step for me (however, that said, being that I am plain white looking male, I know that made it so easy at least until I applied for Perm Res. Then, being a white american worked against me). Luckily, I had been involved with a Canadian citizen several years whom sponsored me for Perm Res. I really enjoy seeing your POV in your videos. As a white Canadian I have been endlessly descriminated against by coloured races for my colour and for my age and because of my culture.the new hobbyin Canada is to put the blame on whites ! Canadian tax payers don’t want to pay for drug addicts to get more drugs the Liberal Canadian government have set up “safe injection sites” and “ methadone clinics” that basically give these addicts more drugs that are payed for with our tax dollars again these clinics and safe injection sites didn’t exist when I was a kid and since then the number home homelessness has increased as well as the number in population addicted to drugs. I moved from the U.S. to Canada. Some observations:\n1. It's unbelievably safe in Canada. The most dangerous places in Canada are still very safe compared to much of the U.S.\n2. Outside of DC and New York and I guess Chicago and L.A. in the U.S. and Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver in Canada, you need a car. I disagree that city planning is that much better in Canada.\n3. The maternity leave in Canada is great \n4. The unemployment insurance in Canada is great too\n5. I prefer the Canadian health care system. I never experienced any long wait times. My wife had literal brain surgery and it was free whereas it would've been hundreds of thousands of dollars in the U.S.\n6. Canada is further to the left and is much more woke than the U.S. Everything here is about equity, diversity and inclusion. Even many Canadian conservatives would be moderates in the U.S. but most people know this already.\n7. There is a better work life balance in Canada. I worked a lot more when living in the U.S.\n8. Most Canadians live by the U.S. border  so the weather is not that different than most northern American states. But once you go to northern Canada, it is as cold as they say it is.\n9. The U.S. is better for making money.\n10. It is much more racially segregated in the U.S. \n11. Outside cities like Montreal and Toronto, Canada is very white.\n12. Things are much more spread out in Canada. When I lived in the U.S. driving for 1 hour to go somewhere was a long drive. In Canada, that is normal.\n13. Canada is pretty great if you like the outdoors. There's only 36 million people here and outside the major cities, you find small towns and the wilderness. \n14. Canadians are quite friendly. I know my neighbors in the country. I never knew my neighbors in the U.S.\n15. Canadian politics is boring and I like this. However, in the rural areas, it seems that people really hate Justin Trudeau.\n16. Since Canada is so similar to the U.S. it is very easy to adjust to life here.\n17. Outside of Quebec, you really don't need to speak French. \n18. The nationalism of the Quebecois is very surprising. There is no group in the U.S. this nationalistic.

Well the governments of Canada have made it illegal for us to express our views. As a white English Canadian I don't think most of us hate people because they came from abroad. If people came to Canada and actually became Canadians I don't think 90% of people have an issue with that. The problem is people are coming here and are not assimilating. Especially the people from Asian and African nations. But this is not surprising to me because their culture is so different from ours. I would prefer immigrants came from northern Europe especially the British Isles and France due to having a shared history, values, and culture similar to Canada. \n\nThe other issue is mass immigration mostly only benefits wealthy people because they get cheap labour. People coming from countries with a much lower standard of living are used to earning less and living with less so they depress wages for working people here. The so called skilled immigrants that our government tells us will solve all of our nations problems are not. No one recognizes their skills here so they end up taking jobs away from other Canadians. \n\nI think Canada's solution would be to stop relying on foreigners and invest in Canadian people. I would cut immigration levels by 75%. I would limit immigrant applicants to make up only 5% from one country. Also we should only allow Canadian citizens to own property. Dual citizenship should be eliminated. You should only be loyal to Canada. \n\nThe government should also stop spending money on Black lives Matter, criminals, drug addicts, and other socialist non-sense. Government spending and taxes should be cut in half and free enterprise should be encouraged. We should be using money towards infrastructure and education. We should be training Canadians to become engineers, doctors, and skilled tradesmen. I would rather invest in our own people that try to accommodate foreigners.

As a East European working in the poorest Canadian neighbourhood I get the both ends of the racism - white people call me a f... immigrant, native people and non white call me a f... white man. Also government jobs are not about being able and capable to do that job, it is all about playing politics. I deeply regret moving here.

Each country has its own pros and cons and question is whether cons are balanced by pros. \nI remember when Austrian colleague come to Toronto for a 3 months for a scientific exchange. She was shocked, whereas I, being in my 5th year of my stay there, I no longer react but adapt to a situation. \n\nAs for doctors, I know foreign doctors who can't practice as is taking forever to get papers done. Some of them need to pass all exams from a medical school. \n\nYou reminded me how I was annoyed by tax not included in a price. In Poland price on a price tag is final, the same for the UK or Switzerland. \nSilent racism I will call it fake openness as it also touches white immigrants from Europe. The job market is sealed shut and glass door awaits. My Canadian, academic job experience was good enough for the UK and Switzerland/Liechtenstein. Funny fact, recently I got invitation to apply for a job in Canada as suddenly I am good enough. Of course no one ever invited me to the network so networking is not. Even funnier I was interviewed for a job but when I saw rent for 1 bedroom in Toronto I withdrawn my application.\n\n I was told old building in Switzerland are bad. Maybe. But after living in a carton wall studio in Toronto, now rent is above 2,000 CAN, I have very low expectations. Remember my shock when I saw quality of a buildings.
