Mr. Trump is trying to level the playing field which will even this deficit. This is fair for both parties. Picking a trade war with Canada, Mexico, China and major economics is a very bad idea. It will not bring anybody to the negotiation table to get a better deal. It will drive them away from US partnership and they form alliances, new trade routes and partnerships, de-dollarization, etc. Just think why does a country needs USD when they cannot trade with US. I do not understand caring about the dollar value of a home unless one is planning on selling. The only value of my home that I care about is that it provides me with a rent-free place to live that I own outright. To me, increasing the value of my home just increases my property tax without providing me with any greater benefits. \n\nDoes everyone in Canada plan on selling their homes?
