I’ve been thinking about moving to Canada for years. There are many advantages and disadvantages to America and Canada. I just want to make sure it’s not a ‘ The grass looks greener on the other side of the fence’ situation and then find out a ‘ I never thought of that’ situation.

If you were scammed in your country by an Indian International Student Agency, that is your fault, and an International Student visa is not the path to a permanent residency visa! We came to Canada in 1995 we have lived in the same area on near grenet street. There was one Marche khatak where we use to go for desi groceries and To get Movies for rent.

Only qualified people get employment in Canada. Young Canadians do not like to do low-paying jobs, so immigrants do more of those jobs and young Canadians do not have as much skills as immigrants have for high-paying jobs. Immigrants have no option to get success without hard work and skills. Therefore, immigrants work harder to get skills and success than the privileged native Canadian youth. So it would not be right to say that immigrants are taking away their jobs.

I heard on my visit to Canada earlier this year for vacation the same thing, BUT you talked to Canadians who were obviously unemployed/with no skills and homeless (at least it seemed like that, my apologies if that was not the case. All immigrants should respect the local law and do not impose their culture in adopted land. I believe that Indians come to Brampton because they find their own kind of people there and feel that they will not feel any racism, mind you it happens everywhere. Racism in parts of Canada is very much there. \nI stayed in Toronto with a friend and noticed almost 99% of tenants there were chinese, and no one was speaking English. We had a bright culture of men bejng men, woman being woman, kindness, kindness to your fellow neighbour's, pride our national game of hocker. Love of winter and al things nature related. We are the north, and that was the culture we built in for generations. Immigrants need to to adapt and learn our culture that's why you can't let in That many from ones country all at once. Everyone that was struggling before, is struggling even harder Now, everyone is feeling this burn in any way, shape or form, and the cost of living in Canada is insanity. Services that were helping people, survive, are being cut and money being removed for other things. This doesn’t make sense. The basic necessities are becoming more of a problem to get and or too expensive to buy like for instance, toothpaste, deodorant…You cannot find it for under $10 for one stick of deodorant.

I live in the United States and I’ve met lots of Canadians who visited the US have come down to live here\n\nI have to admit I’ve only been to Canada twice in my life\n\nI have immigrant family, who lives in Canada and my European Background mothers family came from Montreal to the US over hundred years ago\n\nNeedless to say, I’m familiar with Canadians that I meet here in the US\n\nI am aware that many Canadians superficially to Americans look like Americans, but aren’t and I know from Canadians that they find the lifestyle in parts of the United States, a little bit too intense and experience and expectation\n\nWhat you will find if you look at Canada’s past, history is a trail of Canadians. Who’ve had to come down to the US for employment opportunities as Canada has time not being able to provide the opportunity and sustenance for their population.\n\nI would have to say that perhaps maybe prior to the 2010’s Canada was doing very well and providing quality life for their population and their citizens and the residence\n\nWhat you find out personally is that is being mismanaged when it comes to immigration capital investment in industries And worst of all, not being able to ride housing in a place where exposure to the elements could be certain death for some people\n\nThere user based national health system seems to be freeing and not being able to provide the services that they once provided, which is also something that’s really troubling\n\nAnd now I hear that they have problems providing food at an affordable amount\n\nI wish you well and fighting a place that gives you better comfort and opportunities to grow and affordable lifestyle\n\nI can’t say in the United States you’re gonna find better you’ll find certain cost of living items a lot more affordable, but we do not have a safety net when it comes to healthcare
