If I currently import a t-shirt from Mexico for 10.00 and sell it in the US for 15.00, I make 5 dollars in profit which I use to pay my staff and keep my business running. When Trump puts a 25% tariff on that t-shirt, it now costs me 12.50.You think I am going to eat 2.50 per t-shirt. No, I'm now going to charge you, the consumer, 17.50 for the same t-shirt because my cost of doing business has not gone down. You all really need to do some research and understand tariffs. I'm not moving my business to the US. I'm still getting the same amount of money for my products. The US consumer is footing the bill....

If tariffs costs are not paid by the country they're placed on, then why would she care? It doesn't affect Mexico, it affects the US, so why not just say, go ahead you're not gonna hurt us in anyway and it's not gonna stop migrants or Americans from carrying drugs over the border. Trump needs to look at our laws if he wants to stop Americans from being drug mules..

Tell Maxico to investigate who buys their human trafficking that sent people to us. Canada like many countries who came out fairly unscathed from COVID are facing the same dilemma, they didn't get the massive economical bounce back and the momentum that went with it like many countries who were devastated by COVID. If you look at the data between Canadian household income compared to the US, excluding the top ten percent since the US has much more income inequality than Canada, you will see that most Canadian are doing much better than their American neighbours. And on top of that, we have safer streets, healthcare, longer lifespan and better public education system. What we are missing is more leadership structuring our economy rather than completely being depended on the free market. They are managing the economy rather than facilitating more growth, none of the Canadian political parties seems to truly be engaged with that. We are not the US, we do not have the population to grow a service economy like they do, which has a compounding effect on their economy. We need a more focused approach to managing our resources, including human resource, which requires some planning on the economic side.

Besides distinguishing between legal amd illegal immigration, it would be good to know the numbers behind the types of undocumented immigrants. Many of these 11 million plus people actually belong here in the US, such as the Haitians and the Deeamers (which y'all neglected to mention). But if your asylum claim has been rejected or if you've overstayed your visa (which accounts for many), then deportation is fair. But we need a grand compromise. A path to citizenship for Dreamers and people who are under special arrangements (again, like the Haitians), deportations for most others, with a new visa regime for people who have been working in parts of the economy that - to be blunt - Americans won't.\n\nAlso, most of the people here without proper documents are Mexican. And most came through Mexico. AMLO let that happen. Sheinbaum is going to need to address that. Many Mexicans are also greatly unhappy with what's been going on for the last few years.

Interestingly enough, the clip where the girl is complaining about having the rent increased by $7000 is not Trudeau's fault (Liberal government) but Doug Ford's, who's Conservative and the premier (like a governor in the US) of Ontario. He removed the limits on rent increases on properties occupied for the first time after Nov 15 2018. So now, if you want make a few more bucks or just kick someone out just jack the rent so they can't afford it and have to leave (usually you can't just end a lease agreement because you want to but not anymore as you can just increase it to whatever you want). The fact that we have so many people in the US undocumented and living here for decades tells us that our legal process is not sufficient for allowing people to come legally. Having that many people tells us we need to treat this as a policy problem, not an individual-making-bad-choices problem. And spending billions of dollars on border patrol tactics that still allow for so many illegap immigrants tell us that our resources are grossly misspent. Plus we treat legal asylum seekers as if they were illegal (depriving people of food, keeping them from crossing in the first place) so people will choose whatever method will get them here. People can be here legally for well over a decade before getting a green card and then even longer to get citizenship.

They keep talking about losing a huge part of the workforce with mass deportations. So Americans aren’t looking for work? I’ve worked for Amazon for 3 and a half years now. I transferred from Va back home to ny last October. In va Americans are being hired. In ny Amazon is literally hiring nothing but Haitians. We hire a hundred and twenty people every year between July and January for prime and peek. I promise you without any iota of exaggeration, every last new hire is Haitian. I know of plenty of ppl who have applied to no avail. They really need to say if you’re American don’t apply. They get tax credits for hiring them. And because of this they do little to no work because they know nothing will happen to them. So all of the work falls on us . Out of the 120 new hires this year and last year 115 are under 27. They try to alienate us , intimidate us,and are extremely rude to anyone who isn’t Haitian. These are young people who are on straight gang time. I’m a black man telling you this and I’m from the street. It took me 6 years to finally make 20 dollars an hr, they come right over making the same as me while I’m working harder to accommodate their lack of productivity and at the same time hope I don’t lose my job for standing up to their rudeness and intimidation tactics. But the media will have ppl convinced that these are hard working meek and humble ppl just trying to make a better life for them and their families. If keeping a lid on things in the months leading up to an election that will determine the sort of border and immigration policies the United States has for the next four years, they may see slowing the flow as a prudent business decision. Only people that can “apply” are asylum seekers. Anyone from any other country there is no such application. There would only be an “application” is there was an immigration reform that would allow people that want to come or have been here to apply. There has not been immigration reform/amnesty in decades. \n\nI urge everyone to YouTube or go on the uscis website and find this so called application. The only way is either 1. You were born somewhere else and your parents are citizens 2. Enlist in US military 4. Marriage with a us citizen. So it’s not as easy as just applying, if it was there wouldn’t be so much illegal immigration. \n\nNo excusing or saying it’s okay to come illegally, just saying the reason people do it that way is because there hasn’t been and there currently is no process to do it legally.
