The Law states that International Students MUST be DEPORTED if they do not leave within 2 weeks of completing or ceasing their educational programs. Legally Deporting illegal residents is the best thing for everyone.

Shouldn't domestic schools focus on educating Canadian students? Post secondary education wages have become bloated off international funds and Canadian students can't afford the debt to go to our own schools anymore.

Better late than never. This was bound to happen because the Canadian government gave unrestricted entry to these international students. These guys are very talented and highly skilled in organizing protests and equally incompetent as far as education is concerned. The prime objective of these international students was to gain permanent residency through Canadian diploma mills. The authenticity of their transcripts is also questionable. Now, in the fear of getting deported they are organizing protest and playing blame game card. They very well know how falsely they have gained entry and treating them innocent would be another colossal mistake which may lead to serious consequences. For the betterment of future Canadians it is necessary to send them back asap.

We should be paying our own children's education to empower our country. Secondary education has gotten ridiculously expensive. It's why we don't have doctors and many middling jobs arnt getting filled. Putting foreigners money into our universities is not helping Canadians. It's enriching the heads of universities.

Understand that Education system has become a business these days. Do you think that Indian students come to Canada by spending 10 times more for education, because they learn some great techniques or lessons? It is only with the hope that after the education they can get a high paying job in Canada. Indian education system is far better than Canada's. In fact Canadian universities badly need these students, else they may not be able to pay salaries to their professors or universities will shut down. So after these students came here by taking high loans, now you change the rule/law is giving hard time to these students. You guys attract these students by showing them hope. This world is so closely connected and it can not be operated by rules. You need to understand the reality and work with empathy.

“International students” who are not really here for studying, there should be a law that requires them to show their transcripts and attendance sheets in order to actually prove they’re here for education… not just to work full time, bring family over, not follow any of the municipal, provincial, federal laws, etc.

I live in Canada. Every country has its own problems i believe.\nBut what i have seen here is the taxes we pay gets paid back in terms of continuously improving infrastructure, free healthcare and free education. You dont need to bribe to get any govt related work done. \nWhile i was paying ~33% tax in India and was getting nothing back from govt in return. Salaried class people are most exploited in India in terms of taxes while business class ppl enjoy by getting rid of taxes.

The important point is India can never be clean, disciplined or have hours infrastructure as any wester n country , even if we have number one gdp. The reason is Indian mindset is to not respect the nature and litter everywhere as compared to Canadians who treat nature like their family. The government has built good infrastructure and people follow every law that government has levied. But at the same time, it comes with its own set of problems such as poor healthcare, avg education no career growth and insane expense. So there is no heaven anywhere. I am an Indian and I am disgusted to see what fellow Indians have done to Canada! They come here with their total lack of civic sense! I was born and raised in Calcutta as we navigated daily through filth and dirt on the streets - not only because of the poor on the street - but bec of everyone else who walks around and thinks nothing of throwing their garbage on the streets, spitting and blowing their noses on the streets and even in buildings - stairway landings, or peeing in the open - in public spaces or against building walls, etc.. Narcissistic, selfish drivers who cut people off, break the traffic rules, grab parking spots, etc.. They come here and make every effort to Indianize Canada - to make this into India instead of respecting this country that has generously and (ignorantly!!) allowed them in!! If they want to live their Indian culture in an 'Indian environment' - then for goodness sake - GO BACK TO INDIA and clean up that country your call your 'matri bhoomi' - your Mother!! The presenter is right - Indians (and Sri Lankans, Bangladeshis and Pakistanis too included here - all with the same mentality!) have dragged down the customer service experience in stores and restaurants. Indians are usually polite but they are not good at maintaining a high standard of customer service! I did notice the quality of education was much lower in 2024 than in 2018 and 2020 in College. The teachers don't even car. All these students are very nice people, some spent a fortune coming here. There should have been limits decades ago becuase people want go back but they spent so much money that they feel stuck. $10k cad is like 3-5 years worth of income in some of these places.
