The sense of becoming better in any person is driven by the conviction of being worse already.\nAs such, there must be CHOICE to select from the list of practices that can lead to being BETTER furnishing reasons and proofs. What guarantee is there that Islam as one of the items in the list makes someone better? What if itself lacks goodness and depends on sacrifices from its votaries to cover its own lapses? In that case, how does one get the sense of being better becoming Muslim or serving Islam?\nTo me, Islam (of Mohammad) is end of all workable options as it sets itself against rest of the possibilities allowing no alternative thinking and action. It leads to REAL SLAVERY mentally and physically.

My experience in Canada has been largely positive, with only minimal racial difficulties. As a teenager, I do recall some kids making blatantly racist comments, when I was the only minority in the room; but they were silly girls, popular and full of themselves, and most of the students who heard did not laugh with them. We all knew it was wrong. Another time I was told, by an agent, that a potential employer claimed she would not hire me because of my race. I did not hear these words firsthand, though, so it was impossible for me to verify the truth. In the end, I let the matter alone. Other people, I realize, have endured severe injustices; such have not been my experience, but this does not subtract from their reality. Indeed, racism does exist, and shall remain as long as there are imbeciles wallowing in the mire of ignorance, people who cling to an absurd sense of superiority for lack of something more meaningful to hold. As well--and it must be said!--quite likely, we all have, at some point, entertained discriminatory thoughts. 'Tis not a 'black and white' problem but a human one, and we must be mindful of it beginning with ourselves. Canada, then, with its many inhabitants and complex history, will never be the exception. We can't expect perfection among people, here or anywhere else in the world. Even so, I believe there are enough fellow Canadians who strive to treat people as individuals and are happy to make friends across cultures. My life has been and continues to be a testament to that! Whatever our troubles, we still retain a proud heritage of diversity and progressive ethnic harmony. We do try, and for this reason I love my country. I am deeply patriotic and immensely proud to be part of it!

There is only one god worthy of worshiping. He is the most merciful, generous, all-knowing and all-wise. If you where to ask him for forgiveness, not associate him with anything else, praise and thank him with sincerity, he will forgive you. This life is like a journey, your born, married, have a baby, die. People have been there and done that. Ask your self the true reason of your existence (is it to have a big house, car...)Worship god ALONE and seek refuge with him. He is truly unique. Peace!

Islam is about peace, love, equality, justice, freedom, happiness, reason and purpose. \nPeace : We are assured of the purpose of our life\nLove : we love one another \nEquality : women are respected and loved (not because they dress like western sluts) \nJustice : An eye for an eye. Real justice. you kill = you get killed = justice.\nFreedom : Your free from any ignorance and stupid theories like : we come from chimpanzee's \nHappiness : money is not = happiness\npurpose : we live to praise god\nVOILA!

It is a very good point you make, there is an argument that if the German people had stood up to Hitler then we would not have experienced one of the largest genocides in history but Muslims are often unfairly blamed for actions that are not their own\nThe media does focus on the extremist element but the issue is that if people from a non-Muslim background try to intervene it is labelled as racism which is part of the reason that the politicians are so soft handed with Muslim extremists

>Wealth doesn't equal happiness.\nAnd uhh, addendum, neither does a lack of natural disasters. ;) I heard Dhaka (capital) is one of the worst-placed cities in the world, next to a big ass mountain, prone to flooding, earthquakes, and apparently close to a volcano. Still, there are happy people in Dhaka. Most immigration is done in the name of capitalism, so you can be hired as cheap labour as you'll expect lower wages. One of the many reasons it's bad for both immigrants and natives.

Well i was asking because I have read your Quran a few times\n\nThe thing about the Quran is, its a list of do's and don'ts, (a book of laws). The laws are listed, and what people don't realise is that Islam is actually a form of government, it is politics, law and order all rolled into one religion.\n\nFor this reason you can compare Islam to other forms of governance like Communism and Democracy.\n\nHowever secular muslims like Attaturks followers reject most clause's in Islam.\n\n

My country is one of the better examples of Islamic law though still flawed due to national problems and namely international relations and the paranoia surrounding the USA for good reason (CIA Coup and 25 years of USA backed dictatorship and opression)\n\nNow about the reports, understand that western media thives on shock media, they thrive on putting things out of context and exagerating them.\nYes those things happen with Muslims as they happen with everyone else, but it's not Islamic.
