For pleasure travel to other countries, Govt of India should impose 100% tax and use that tax amount for development of domestic tourist spots. Same way for student traveling to other countries for study, Govt of India should impose 100% tax (fully refundable with interest if that student comes back to India after completion of his studies) and use that tax amount for development of domestic educational institute.

Getting the visa appointment is hard because of how many people are trying to get out from here, just because everyone else is doing. I'll give up an example. For German national visa, the slots for next 2 months were filled in two VFS centres, ( which two states in India depends on) were filled in an hour. And a lot of those guys who go abroad, ruin the country they go to with their bs from India.

The Rejection rate is still very low . India can also do more to prevent illegal immigration to other countries. That gives all Indians a bad image and more scrutiny when they apply for a Visa. Like Requiring all Indians travelling overseas to have a return ticket and digital copy of their Visa, passport that can be accessed by the Indian embassy in the country they plan to visit . So if they are illegals or lose their passport, the India Embassy/Gov will know or be able to help them with a new passport to travel back to India. Digital copy is to be submitted to the Indian Embassy in the country they plan to visit days before departure, with conformation .\n\n These simple steps will bring more credibility to Indian Passport holders.

It is surprising they still give out millions of visas while a significant number of travelers abuse the system! Rest of the world also does not want illegal immigrants/visa abusers the same way India doesn't. They might reconsider their rejection if India offers free deportation flights to back home for the millions of Indian illegal immigrants around the world and do a better job of screening potential abusers at the emigration step.

Well said! I hope our Ministry of Foreign Affairs takes note. It's high time India earns global respect, particularly from the UK, USA and EU. Offering arrival visas to income tax filers could be a game-changer and a start to that direction and will motivating more people to file returns to get that pride status. Currently, only 3% of Indians file tax returns, whereas at least 10% should. This initiative would benefit India and provide developed countries with a better filtering process.

As an Indian staying in Australia, I feel ashamed because the genuine students are not even 10 out of 100 from India. They are just coming for work and PR, and on top of it, they are ruining the culture here. It's an absolutely correct decision for Western countries. Indeed, they should keep INDIA on BLACK LIST

This may be a blessing in disguise to India . I say this not to bring any offence as visa denials are highly prevalent, not only in Canada but in other countries as well. The positive side to this Palki is that India will not suffer brain drain for this season until a new season of visas is granted. I live in Canada. A citizen now, love this country but India is and will always be a home. Canada is facing hard times currently, which is being faced by every country now and then but even the cause root of all these problems Canada is facing right now is coming from somehow from India. The most disruptive and disturbing people are here from India only with no civic sense. They come here and do not value the Canadian culture at all. They do all sort of illegal activities and try to do jugaad in everything, from which we escaped from India. Even on political grounds, the man who somehow messed up everything was under the influence and pressure of the man having Indian roots. I love India without a doubt but we can’t deny the real facts why Indians are being hated everywhere. People in my community here ( whites, First Nations, old Indians) love me and my family because they know how we respect the culture and values and laws of Canada. But there, where people don’t know us personally, we get judgemental eyes because of our colour and we know why, it’s not all of us, but still majority of us have destroyed the image of India and yes Indians deserve to be banned now.
