I know if i dont pay my mortgage for three months, the bank doesn't care why they just haven't been paid, and i will get kocked out. Why the double standard for tenants who don't pay? Landlords should be able to kick them out if they haven't paid for three months. I think we need to fix our democratic process. Every politician should have at least a masters degree in the ministry they are assigned. I do not expect someone with a history degree managing finance.

Trump is helping solve CANADIAN problems and BEFORE he even takes power, officially. That is incredible. \n\n\nNow we just have to pray that he doesn’t actually increase those tariffs, and it is very likely that he will. Trump has been very consistent over the years about wanting higher tariffs with all of his trading partners. Getting control over our borders and preventing terrorists from entering the country will help reduce them but not all the way I don’t think. \n\nWe’ll see if that prediction is correct.

But why not Canada join the USA? \n\nWell, Canadians would have to agree. So no worries. But I would think both sides would win. But it's up to you all. Many years ago (I am 82) my husband was a post doc at Princeton. In case we wanted to stay in the USA a few years we became immigrants. While many people were pleasant and interesting , we hated the general culture there. The racism, medical expenses, the lack of public parks, public transportation , etc. we found very unpleasant. I became pregnant. My doctor who was kindly however had to suddenly flee the state as his wife was having him arrested ! He gave me info about places my child could be born on our trip home if necessary at our last meeting for I decided that my child would definitely be a Canadian! So, we packed up and left the month before my son was born. LOL.My recent ancestors are French Canadian, British, Scot , and I am descended from a Loyalist Niagara area family - but am also descended from every founding ethnic leader in the USA! Even several on the Mayflower! So, most Americans are my cousins! I think they have gone astray!

I think most of the world would agree that Trudeau & his cohorts . Are seriously engaged in many nefarious practices . Whilst the country goes to the wall . One of the biggest solutions to many problems in Canada . Is Trudeau & his accomplices gone . There has to be a government who works for Canadian people . Not one who should be behind bars .

I think the first and most important question you have to ask is why are Indians so eager to leave India??? Don't blame another country when your own country cannot care for you. Stay where you are. Simple.

I don't think the taxi driver didn't get the job because of competition, it's more likely they didn't pass the regulation exam for their occupation. These exams are difficult for many immigrants because of language and cultural issues.

Germany as a society never bothered to learn what is like to live with foreiners. The society doesnt think or care about learning or teaching reapect towards different culture. At first i thought its just a matter of time, but after over 10 yrs here i realised that they dont really 'intend' to accept this new segment of tax payers. They just 'try' to 'tolerate' AT BEST. Germany is so culturally behind. Missed entire 90s when other countries learn about globalisation and all, because the mighty Germany doesnt need anything other than glorious themselves who has everything and can provide everything themselves. Elon Musk was out of status and illegal when he was a student here. The question to ask is whether there should be a process to keep the ones we want and not the ones we don't want. I dont mind the indians since i dont live in an area with too many indians. Well i do (markham) but what annoys me (not tryna sound racist but i just need to say it) theres a lot of chinese here and markham's demographics is like 27-19% european and indians are 19% here but here we have nearly 50% chinese out of our like what 368,000 citizens.. i dont mind them but everywhere i go i hear people speaking chinese, posters in chinese, even some teachers have been teaching more chinese than canadian history at my sisters school. My PE class is 18 chinese kids, 3 white kids, 3 indians and 3 black people. See what i mean.. They're smart and keep to themselves but in my experience they're pretty loud and can often be a bit rude and a lot of the times a bit racist too. Edit: before anyone asks yes i am white. I am not trying to be racist but I would just like someone to hear me out. I think people in Brampton are having similar issues.

Ummmmm.....I think the MAJORITY are from India and Pakistan. The building I live in....3 years ago I think had 1 or 2 East Indian tenants ....now I would say 75% of my building is East Indians. Its completely out if control. OUR BORDER IS CLOSED!!!!!!

I'm a newcomer, and I agree with the points, and I see that people are blaming immigrants in general, but they don't think in the structural flaws that we have in the government system, I found a shame the public transportation in some of the biggest cities and in other public services, and I found that could be easier the validation of diplomos, we have doctors and engineers driving uber, because they can't work in their profession, and I feel that they are putting limits in the immigrants from one side, but they have no limits in refugees, I understand that they need help but should have a limit that the structure can hold.

Yes greed. I heard some homeowners are renting their basement? Because of demands for workers (to live) it's OK. In Germany basements are for your old stuffs even If your house is brand new. In Canada, I think, everything is like gold. Even sad and lonely small towns some are renting there. Many are depressed and crazy because of loneliness and cold/ bad weather. The world is big to explore. Use your common sense!

I moved to Canada upon retirement at age 60. Best decision! I’ve had good experiences with the Ontario and Nova Scotia healthcare. As I didn’t have emergencies, I didn’t wait more than a month for specialists. Canadians don’t like travelling to get appointments sooner which is common in the US. \nMany here think emergency room wait times in the States is much shorter, but I’ve accompanied friends in New York State for treatment only to wait over eight hours. \nHere in Niagara Falls, Canada my ex had a kidney stone causing great pain. The wait time to get morphine and treatment was about 45 min. \nI got a colonoscopy in four days here. In the US I waited three months. \nNo cost or copayments, and there are no in-network requirements that I know of. \nI would not live in the US again. Visiting is just fine!

I live in Dubai and I know soo many Canadian by passport only who come to find job or stay in this country when Canada give them money I think its haram and cheating the Canadian who give them everything to live good life.

I am a Latino Canadian I've been here for 23 years and I think the government should only bring people from countries that will mix/ interbreed/get marry and have children with different cultures and religion so that means no Indians, no Muslims, no Jews unless they are willing to interbreed so we can have a more peaceful and more inclusive country.

Politicians always play safe for their benefits, but any native should never feel a stranger in their own hometown, it's a nightmare, I'm an Indian, from Kerala, I can't think of feeling and outsider in Kerala, so totally understand what people feel in any part of the world. But don't you think, any outsiders coming and occupying the masses seems like a problem with the efficiency of people there, even here in Kerala we used to speak of Tamil population in early 80s and now Bengalis occupying our street, but can we actually blame them? I would say no, we didn't do our job, they came and did the job and now they are in huge numbers. The same happens anywhere in the world. You don't do your job right, someone will come down the job and probably occupy a heart share of the city gradually, for malayalis Kochi esp Aluva is a real time case study for the same.

Girls, I came here as an international student, I make about 150K year, I pay aournd 45% of my salary in taxes and 2500 in rent, that is unfair. My job comes from the U.S. and now I have to face impossible PR process. Canada needs reforms for sure, but think twice, this is not the only country a highly skilled immigrant can go, the world is big, stop blaming international students for everything, we came here following the rules, and we did not write those rules. To be honest, I am seriously thinking about moving somewhere else including home. I have a nice house, pool and warm weather back home.

O_o Well this is a weird situation. I didn't expect a Mexican American immigrant to support Trump. She explained that she was technically legal. However I really doubt this. Trump is extremely racist. He would still deport this woman anyway. Maybe it is not just a racism thing. Trump is a felon. Felons are the last people that would consider the law. It is nice that this woman went the extra mile to be legit, but I think she is still shooting herself in the foot.

I’m an American citizen who was born in the United States (Hawaii). Everyone has the right to support or not support President Trump’s plans for mass deportation. The interviewer asked this Mexican American woman her opinion and she’s entitled to her opinion. There are a lot of Hispanic people who agree with Trump. I don’t think she’s turning her back on her family by saying “it’s okay” if they get deported. I think she’s respecting and supporting the rules of Immigration laws to have legal documentation to live in the United States. Rather than disrespecting and ignoring Immigration laws the way her family did. I think in a way she’s saying “it’s okay” her family gets deported because they deserve to be penalized for breaking Immigration laws for entering and staying in America for 20 or 30 years illegally which is valid and understandable. It comes down to the phrase “You commit the crime you do the time” whether it’s family or not. I believe she has a leg to stand on because she followed Immigration laws, received her Green Card and is living in the United States legally. If a family member of mine committed a crime and were put in jail or deported back to their country I would say “it’s okay” too. You reap what you sow.

The way I see is a very very disorganized n disrespect way of showing their attitude towards others countries leader coming to a meeting in foreign soil, I think he will always remember this event.

I think the ones that are doing the drugs and living on the streets need to go to a drug rehab and before they can be released have a job and work with these people where they can have affordable housing but Mexico is the supplier

I do think it's worth pointing out that the cheap labour reduces incentives for companies to invest in increasing productivity. I think the high real estate costs might be a problem too - too much of Canada's available capital is going towards expanding housing supply and not enough on better technology - software, equipment, etc. I think part of the stagnant productivity has been due to lack of investment in technology, rather than laziness of workers. It's also worth pointing out that a lot of the workforce has been in government, which has been spending more and more money while not having much to show for it, so productivity in the government is another issue too. Bureaucracy and red tape can also be detrimental to productivity in both governments and the private sector. Maybe Canada needs more competitiveness (ex with telecommunications). Lack of training could be an other obstacle to productivity, or for example... not speaking English properly. Sometimes when I get customer service with an Indian, I have to make him repeat 5 times because of his extremely thick accent. He might not be lazy and trying his best, but still not very productive. \n\nWith slavery in the US, the South has been rather inefficient with their labour because slaves were relatively cheap (still had to feed and house them). The entire Immigration System got screwed up somewhere, due to Government Ministers who had or have NO clue what the job entailed.\nI came to Canada in mid 1970s from ENGLAND. I was not allowed into Canada, unless I could prove that I could READ, WRITE, and \nSPEAK ENGLISH (many will attest to this) I had to prove that I was EDUCATED enough, to be able to be employed. I had to have \nenough money so NOT to have to access government funds. Please think about this! Today, it is much different to get to Canada.\nI guess ILLEGAL immigration is now, part of the Canadian problem.

As someone who had to take the English assessment to attain the PGWP, I complained so much because I didn't come to Canada not knowing English, and I certainly did not graduate without the ability to read, write, listen and even present business cases in English. It pissed me off at the time cause he costs hundreds of dollars for something I was assessed on before even coming to the country. Did they really think my English got poorer after 3 years in the country? \n\nBut I totally get your point why its needed now with the way things are. However, in the long run, I think reforms should be made at the student visa level. Canadian and other international students who worked hard to get into uni don't need a deadweight that cant speak the official language of the university and contribute meaningfully. Forget contributing to Canadian society, would the student himself learn anything?

This was a great video! My family and I are considering relocating to Canada from the USA, as we are dual citizens, and this helps to explain what’s really going on up there.
