It's not this man's fault our justice system is broken. He's just a symptom. Broken down regulations and laissez-faire job qualifications and monitoring caused this accident, not malevolent actions by the driver. He served his time and has shown remorse for the accident. He has a right to appeal this judgement as does any permanent resident who faces deportation.

The guy and fmly. have/are paying taxes. He was as some have pointed out a symptom of a larger problem of poorly trained immigrant truck drivers, is that being sorted out ? Issue of deportation is meaningless now and will take years if at all. Since he has done his time if will be up to him to figure out how to live out the rest of his life ? And clean up immigration as he entered as a management student became a truck driver for easy PR in as short a time as possible etc or a total racket lol

What a shame!!! The man killed 16 people and all that he has got is a deportation!!! Wow!!! Canada doesn’t have law anymore. At least it is the law that shields the criminals and spits in the face of the victims!!! ?????

I do not agree with his deportation. He made a mistake. He did not have a weapon like a gun or a knife. He did not purposefully run a stop sign. It was a mistake. A terrible, horrible, horrific mistake.

When a deportation order comes down it should happen within a week and then they can appeal the permanence of it from wherever they end up at their cost. That Canadian Taxpayers have to fund these appeals is ridiculous.

As a tax paying citizen, yes deportation should be done. if more of this happened, there would be less of it. why shouldnt he be held held accountable, as to his family why should we be paying for them?

Fun fact, a senator in the states made the first move towards deportation of the criminal protestors and literally this past week law enforcement has been cracking down on them.

Canada has too many people and students from India. It seems to me they didn't come here to be Canadians. They're here to make the country a platform for thier politics and religion.
