I drove down last time she was in, and i was impressed by the lovely large CCU bay, but, hey patients are paying for it. She had a fancy postop CABG pillow to splint her chest when she had to coughed. It had a cute surgical heart on it. I am sure it cost $$. In Canada, we give our pts a regular pillow, some iv morphine and tlc when it hurts when they cough, no fancy cartoon pillow, but no bill either lol. I would say, the Indian government should introduce a process to thoroughly investigate a person before they apply for a foreign visa, and it should be honest to see some improvement in Indian behavior in the foreign countries. As an educated immigrant, born into a family of educated immigrants, what has occurred in the last decade or so is not that. The floodgates were opened to just anyone, not under the rules and requirements of the past that kept Canada growing, at a calm pace, and with people that would benefit from Canada, but more importantly, they had something to offer in return.
