I have spent significant time in Calgary, Vancouver, and Victoria and was stunned by how much less white racism I encountered than anyplace in the US. \nWe had car trouble out in the country, and white guys stopped to help us out. If it had been in the US I would have been prepared to fight, judging by the way they looked. This woman's story is very subjective and personal. It is just her story.\nI know two retired Black men, both engineers, who spent their careers in Edmonton.

Y’all r dumb, you say “let’s help the homeless in the US first” but really most homeless people here are LAZY, or drug addicts who don’t want to be helped. You say “let’s give jobs to the homeless in the US instead of immigrants” but who’s actually putting in that work and taking jobs? The Mexicans. I don’t see no American homeless people posted outside Home Depot lookin for a job.\n\nYes, there are many homeless people who have injuries or who need help getting access to jobs - it’s important we help them still but those who are willing to work hard and push will reap harvest just how it is. If you had kids, born and raised in Mexico would you stay? I wouldn’t.

Well this truly is an easy fix. 1. We have an amazing military that isn’t doing anything in the Middle East right now and the southern border obviously needs some help as we can all see in this video. \nOur ports are also a big problem and the coastguard needs some help. The navy anyone? \nLastly, I believe the US had a hand in the Venezualas economic downfall. We should revisit our policies regarding them and the largest oil deposits in the world they have. Just some thoughts.

We have enough problems here caused by our incompetent federal government. Until we fix that there’s absolutely zero hope of the US effectively helping anyone when we can’t even help ourselves.

It’s sad because many are in tears and desperate but the USA ?? isn’t prepared financially nor can it hold so many people coming in. We are struggling ourselves to survive. Many of us want to help but we can’t and if they come in we are screwed! People have this misconception that the USA ?? people have all this money etc and we truly don’t. El Paso is getting overrun pretty soon and it’s tough to live here because you don’t know what is going to happen.

If you don't say that we should bring everyone of those people in here and put them in a hotel and pay for thier food and shelter your a freaking racist. I swear I mean take the shirt off your back america I mean off the backs of the homeless vets. I mean what the hell did they ever do for this country. I mean these people are willing to jump through barbed wire to get free well everything what did anyone here do to deserve anything here. ? I mean they are going to pay so many taxes I'm sure it will probably balance the budget and America won't default and continue to fall into a recession. I mean what we need is hundreds if not hundreds of thousands of undocumented people here eating our taxpayers dollars. Cmon isn't that the American way. Work hard all your life to give it away to some illegal who came here. Nothing makes me more proud than watching the govt take all my shit and give it to people who are really worthy of it. Who come from countries where thier govt makes it almost impossible to live so I would happily give all my material possession away to help like 9 or 10 Mexicans. Granted my house burnt down last week but the shirt on my back it's all yours I don't even need it in most states and local convience stores below the state of Virginia. What we need in this country is voters too. I mean all the people who died of covid who's going to fill the voter polls if the democrats don't give these refugees a free life. I'm certainly not going to sit around and let the govt tell us that we need a wall to stop anyone from going anywhere. I mean walls. They are just going to hop and a boat and come right over. Granted you may have to go through customs but that's what I'm saying you need to be able to go and do what ever you want in any country at anytime. Who's to tell me where I can and can't roam on planet earth and what govt agencies will or will not provide me with care for my unborn child. We need a revolution and it start with walls. I'm going to start with my bedroom wall. And work my way up the ladder. I say no to all walls. Even the ones in swimming pools. I say if your a red blooded patriotic American you need to start planning a trip to the border to tear down that exist racist wall that is keeping those south Americans, Chinese, Russian, and Romanian refugees from coming here with ease. The cartel may not be happy with this but we need to make sure that every person from any country no matter what the situation can freely cross any border at any time. It only makes sense.

This is really tragic, but it doesn't seem like anyone is asking what can be done in Mexico, or Venezuela or Guatemala, or wherever, to help create an environment where people can be safe and have real economic opportunity there? This is not good. There is a reason these people are risking life and limb to flee their home countries trying to come to the US.

This doesn't move me with sympathy, it moves anger in me. My family and I were homeless in the U.S. all because I decided to further my education with a school who claimed to be accredited and all this stuff but quickly found out it all was a sham....so in not securing my deposit on a new place or being financially able to fight an eviction were the property basically got paid twice for bs they didn't handle...all because the irs took my income tax which I was depending on being I just started a new job and had 3 weeks before my first paycheck...we were on the street....everywhere I turned was a wait-list and no one I mean no entity would help us..... claiming lack of funding or some proof of homelessness other than papers proving your eviction....just so many ridiculous things....it took us a while to get off the streets and this is kids born on this soil....with a citizen who never been in trouble with the law, 3.8 gpa, educated and motivated and employed.....on the street and although now we have a roof as U.S. CITIZENS still struggling to find our footing....and STILL NO HELP...NOT A FOOD STAMP NOTHING and the lights are out due to the landlord....soooo I'm not sympathetic of these people....I struggled and still struggling in MY OWN COUNTRY WITH NO HELP FROM MY COUNTRY....GO BACK WHERE YOU CAME FROM AND FIGURE IT OUT.....

US at this point can't help it's own homeless people plus thousands of immigrants will come soon... Continue to spend money on ukraine and Elenski war criminal, government doesn't give a shit about regular Americans. Good luck to you guys!

With the right leader we could make this productive force that help thrive the economy but it’s all about the leaders capability. Human resource is what US need if it has to compete with China or China will take over soon or later.

US needs to help it’s people before it should help anyone else.. unfortunately.. Biden/Harris are too busy being celebrities that they don’t care to really try to set the US up for success next term.. regardless if they win or trump wins.. wishful thinking want/ me to have faith.. but it’s hard when I see the devil at play within our walls. This is what Dominican Republic has to deal with every day with Haiti , but alot of people in media want to call us racist and protecting our borders too. Every country should be able to protect their people and nation. Currently we have a population of 10million around 4.5 million are legal and illegal hatians from what is on record, that's not even counting those who are not on record. In a few years I see war again for my people because the agenda the UN is pushing is to leave us to help haiti forever which we will not due and its impossible, we are also historic enemies to top it off. Just because you as a migrant can't get into a country doesn't mean you have the right to now bash the other country for it, they are protecting what is there's just like we all do. How can this be fixed? Well the migrants need to stay In their OWN country and fight for their rights!

I took a migrant into my home to try and help, but there are just so many people coming into the northern US alone that all hotels are full and there is absolutely no housing left. This can't go on at this pace.

Not once have i lived off the government. I work my girl works. We’re having a kid. And things are getting really tight. Inflation is kicking our butts bills increased pay is the same. Were not married yet. We decided to try to seek some government help for at least food right. Shit is tough rn so if we can at least get some food we’ll be fine. We can’t get it technically my girl makes too much money. Why is that even a thing? You’re telling us no because we have too much money? Well we also have alot of bills. Regardless if we’re “middle class” that shit dont feel like it. Im broke af. I got 150 in the bank last me till the 15th. I deserve no help because i choose to help myself? That makes no sense. Yet you got ppl not trying to do a thing for themselves living off of us. Thats insane.

The world has a duty to ALL help fix and it’s the elites and governments who caused these problems and will carry on until we all unite and over run the system. This is our land, our world, our freedom! Why are we most of us living for a hand to mouth existence when we should be allowed FREE electricity for eg?! I’m sorry but the comments are right. We have major issues here and it’s only getting worse. A lot of us can’t get benefits for food stamps, housing, etc. to even help the people who were born here out..

If you think it’s bad now just wait. The only thing that is saving us is immigration ,however that may begin to dry up as people start to realize just how expensive it is here ,and the number of Immigrants start drying up do to lower birth rates . God help us if the housing market should crash as so many are counting on selling to afford retirement

Canadas biggest problem is over relliance on US. If they allow themselves to trade with Asia it would be beneficial. Not only that if they stop being US bitch and let Chinese businesses in it might help them. They are playing a game where they will always loose. Canada need policies that incentivize investment from outside. Making Vancouver a tax haven (not for residential property but investments in business) if you invest in business you wont get taxed or taxes are competitively lower, something like ireland and give incentives for startups. 0% tax on startups and keeping low and competitive tax for local industry even later on would help. Vancouver has potential to become something like Singapore or Hong Kong. As of right now Canada has all the policies that discourage investment.

Seriously we absolutely need to help all the homeless and families already in the US without enough food who got fd diring covid. Build towns that are surrounded by walls give them a small space to live and build factories. Allow these people to have a small check and live and work in those small cities say in the middle of nowhere. Make them work for 1 year in those places and as long as they do good not crime and show up for work and take care of there living space then allow them to become citizens. That way you weed out the criminals and non hard workers. In 1 year you will have a good idea of who should be staying. Also its them paying for there spot and contributing to the us economy. Once they become contributing members of society and they get on there feet out of each check they will take a small amount to pay for all the resources that were used to help them. Also I belive the majority of the ones let in should be women and the young children. If I don't get free help working full time struggling they shouldn't either. Let's make america a manufacturing power house like we're were in the past and the only reason we are a super power now. Also do the same thing for criminals and the homeless teach them worth ethic and how to follow laws instead of giving them handouts to go buy more dope

Countries in courage this so they can get employment in the US and send cash back to their families back home. That helps their economy and their government doesn't have to spend as much money to help their own people. So Americans are helping to take care of their citizens for them. That's why those countries in courage people to come and not try and stop them. Just look at all the check cashing businesses on every corner in some cities

I’m from Juárez, and to be honest, I’m really tired of seeing this, thanks to them we are having lot of trouble on the city. I would like for they to get deported back to Venezuela but Mexico won’t do nothing about it, I’m hoping that USA at least can help us to get them deported back to Venezuela.

It's too many people coming into the United States. Highly overcrowded. The US needs to start taking care of their own citizens first. There's homeless Americans right here that are citizens, there are hungry people right here in the US that are American citizens. They need to start helping their own first. These Americans should not be without anything. And then United States is quick to help other states before they help they own. It's really a shame. And half the people that come here from other countries don't even like Americans. There shouldn't be not one homeless American citizen in America. The country has billions and billions of dollars and they should be able to house their own citizens.

We all feel compassion for these people wanting to have a better life BUT that’s not how a well organized society with laws work. By immigrants doing this they fail to recognize that there are people here in the US that need help first who are suffering too. FJB and Kamala Harris and the whole administration.

Let them in. They will build the housing we need. Right now for every 5 contractors that is retiring we're replacing them with only 2. They will pay taxes. They will be afraid of losing their green card so won't even speed. Their children will get educated in America and grow up to help keep social security solvent. They will make us stronger. Fingerprint them, get a photo, run an Interpol background check, and then let them in.
