Those r not Indians those r North Indians… south Indians r highly educated n work there through company transfers… even in south India North Indians r not welcomed… we never even rent our houses to them… but my pity u gave ur entire Canada to them…. I lived in Canada for 4 yrs… one thing I realised ur system is so full of loop holes… make visa interview a mandatory like US so that these Hindi speaking ppl don’t enter ur country.. I refused to be there because it’s just north India… ?

I'm just speculating, but obviously Trump's stated reasons for the tariffs against Canada don't reflect his real strategy. He wants to exert maximum pain and pressure on the current liberal government in Canada so that its more likely a conservative like Poilievre will get elected. Then, he'll end the tariffs handing him a victory and thus solidifying a conservative influence. Maybe. In any case, he wants more influence over Canada and its unnerving to watch.

Canada needs to get all new trading partners, they need to look to Europe, Asia, and other countries. There are other markets out there, especially in the EU, where they are no longer getting energy from Russia. If Canada shows any weakness Trump will hit Canada even harder, the only why Canada stays strong and comes out ahead, is to be strong. Canada will suffer for a while, but with new trade partners, Canada will be much better off.

Time for Canada to diversify its exports away from the USA. There is urgency for Canada to declare a national economic urgency and build pipelines from coast to coast to bring its energy to Asian and European markets. It is late but nerver not too late to get free from its bully neighbour

I actually get the tariffs on Canada and the EU. We defend them and they make fun of us for not having free health care. Well guess what we defend you to have that free health care cause your countries won’t spend the money to defend you guys. Once you guys invaded free health will be gone. What’s better. This was the correct decision because the US wants bring jobs back to the USA. Jobs in Mexico vs USA trump will choose jobs in the US; Politely subsidized lumber from Canada vs lumber from the USA easy decision; Dairy from Oh' Canada , a short term squeeze.
