Call me whatever, but India has been dealing with this for a very long time, probably since 1980s. I dont hate islam but I dont love it either. Let's just say that I wouldnt buy a house in Muslim neighborhood. It has been a nuisance to India since a long time, every time we screamed in UN for help. We got shut down until the problem reached world wide. People say it started happening since Iraq and syrian war which is slightly incorrect. This problem has been there since ages prior to war, It just manifested on a high level recently. There are so many examples...This religion feeling which later turns into violence starts with your own house, your upbringing and your own values. If a kid is used to seeing his mom being suppressed then when he grows up, dont expect much from him. Now every community has this issue but in Muslim community it is engraved in you the moment you open your eyes on planet earth. You cannot defend the argument when someone says Women are suppressed in mulsim culture. The most hurtful thing happening is in UK. A country which gave you food, shelter, respect, a better life. You are trying to impose your values on it? As a matter of fact, good muslims should come out openly and boycott these terrorist who are trying to create chaos if they really want to show good intentions but you wont see any (for obvious reasons). They often cry about they being a victim but what about other people?? If all good muslim come out and boycott bad muslims then that would be a thing to appreciate and notice. In last you cant clap with one hand! Remember that.

Muslims are not bad we're normal people like everyone else what the hell is the problem I love Islam because I am a Muslim comment if you agree and if you don't get the hell out of here bc like I said we're normal people like Americans and everyone else in the world we come to America because we want to be safe here

the pressure is obvious because Islam does not blend with our culture, if they want to be hard core Muslims they can do whatever floats their boat, but if they impose it on ppl with Sharia like in the UK and France then is a real problem and should be banned

If Muslims have nothing to hide then what is the problem with security services looking around their Mosques.

it's not the religion.... it's the mac's convenience and the corner stores selling tropicana juice for 6 bucks a liter. It's the family oriented hiring policies and the rural area stores being bought and not offering fishing bait, ice or firewood but instead offering dollar store fishing lures for 20 bucks. it's the electronic stores that sell tape decks and old CD players. The stuff that really makes a bad impression is when a muslim family buys a Pizza Pizza or a subway and then changes the restaurant so that there is no where to be seated and the food is processed by someone who won't look me in the eye once and speaks a language that I can't understand to an employer about my sandwich and i will never know what the problem was. I feel like my spanish and native friends treat me the same as them. I feel like the scottish guy who hates me for not waking up at 5 in the morning is only mad because i'm not working as hard as him. I'm saying that maybe a lot of muslims don't want to be our friends and maybe some do... but it seems like they don't want to be my friend but will message a pretty white girl on every single facebook post with paragraphs of physical praise. i probably get a lot of facts wrong... but that world may be too far away for us to acclimate into each others societies. I'd like it though if we could all live in such a manner where we could feel like we aren't all gunning for a chunk of the world.

Any Muslim who accepts OUR culture is welcome. Any Muslim who believes in equal rights for women, is welcome. Any Muslim who believes in the rights of the LGBTQ community, is welcome. Any Muslim who wants to come to America, must put their allegiance to America over Islam. If you have a problem with those things, don't come.

There is no race problem in Canada worth mentioning, if anything there is reverse racism going on in Canada against whites, the culture of political correctness. Whites are routinely discriminated against due to affirmative action and quota's that many companies now have, if a company has 10 available spots, 2 will go to whites, the rest will go to Asians and Blacks, that is simply the reality, but no CBC would never dare to mention this would they. Nice program.. It seams for some reason the western civilization has been burdened with this problem of Racism, Prejudism and other phobia .. I am a Transgender person. I feel safe in Canada. So should everyone else. BUT Here is the devils advocate in me.. If I went to a different part of the world, would I have the same rights and freedoms as I do here.? Probably not!  Canada is about change. Canadian's accept change, but so should the people who come here. Don't lose your religion, values, or culture. keep them close! but embrace new ones.. Canada is a new world now! We fight hate on all levels!

I've sat back and waited for events like this to happen. Muslims go back to your country and stay the hell out of Canada. Canada shows you kindness and put you guys in hotel rooms till we can have the PROPER housing FOR YOU, and while you are there you tear up the bible in your hotel room. IS that how you show your thanks to us? Listen if you have a problem with the bible give it back to the hotel, the bible doesn't belong to you to do as you please with it...I stand by what I have been saying, they need to go...Fuck all Muslims go back to your country where that behaviour is acceptable.

The western world is under attack it is an attack that is being supported by our own governments under the guise of freedom of religion we are being forced to accept beleifs and ideology that we not only dont agree with but in many ways find despicable but if anyone dares to raise the alarm he is attacked by the media as a bigot and a rascist effectively shutting down discussion of the problem. WE must stand together and forcefully let the leadership know that we are not all blind idiots like those who protest against anyone who sees the reality of the situation, they are not rascists as you claim but people who see where this is going unlike yourselves.

what we need is an enlightment movement with islam where the individual determines whats best for themselves rather than these literal interpretations. In the U.S. at my school many of the 3rd generation muslim kids my age are becoming integrated. Girls wear hats that conceal their hair and long sleeves that fit within their religions dress code instead of the burka and young men are very open to other people ideas such as alchohol use. The problem is when families control their children, as in any case really, and are less than open to change. As a son of an immigrant the most important step with integration is the elimination of your cultural identity, you leave your values in your own country because you are no longer in an enviorment where your opinion matters or is relevant. If muslims could adjust/conform their rules to fit the conscripts of western civilization everything would be dandy. Adapt to fit the society that you move into, dont try to reform society to better suit yourself expecially when your a foriegner.

Problem not in Islam or in Christianity, problem not because you are Muslim or Christian, problem because of your ego and your blind mind and the evil inside you that pushing you to hate others , leave everyone to his faith and try to be example and a model inspiring people to love each other, what is the use when you tell me Quran said or bible said and you are a hater and spreading hate and violence among humanity, I am proud to be Muslim and I am more proud when I have Christian neighbour asking me for help and I help them every year to put their Xmas light in their house and share them their joy and happiness, I actually bought some lights and gave it to them as a gift , I invite them to my house and they do the same , problem not in religion, the problem is you haters , even if all the humanity become one religion, do you think all our problems solved?! Australian and Islamophobic, Canadians are Islamophobic, Americans are Islamophobic, Germans are Islamophobic and they are the problem Islam is a religion of Peace and Submission you submit to it and you are fine if not you are Racist and Intolerant.. Get it.. If not wait few more decades, what happened in Kosovo and Kashmir will happen and then it will be too late...

I don't care if you wear hijab but covering face all the time and refusing to take pictures for lisence and passport is not okay. also when the whole world has problem with your religion maybe there must actually be problem you have to fix and not act like you are the victims. we have right to be careful and no its not fair to you but this is what people who follow Islam faith and harm others get you. Islamic people out cry for their right but have to problem taking others away. for example wanting daycares to ban pork just because they can have porn. you should not get special treatment for you religion. I am Hindu/Buddhist and I do not ask people to stop eating beef or many other restrictions that apply to me. the pride of your religion is what's keeping you guys from sensible thinking. and no not all Muslims are the same but the percentage of people that share hatred for other religions is too great too ignore. if you want people to accept you then try becoming a part of the culture and not try to change it for your liking. show love to other faiths and athiests. stop trying to make exceptions for your religion.

You do realize Islam is extremely diverse ,there are so many schools of thoughts and sects . Most of them are peaceful people and all the attention is on a very small amount that are extreme in ideology. Generalizing Muslims into one group is laughable as for Niqab I dont believe it is Islamic , my school of thought doesnt even believe Hijab or headcover is obligatory but that doesnt mean they should be stripped of citizenship and deserve to die ...I think thats extreme too. I think if people in the west can walk outside in a thong and bra or completely naked at gay festivals then whats the problem with wearing too much clothes...honestly I think as human beings you should be free to wear whatever you want.\n.

As a Muslim living in Canada, I don't see the harm in a woman wanting to cover herself, I wear the head scarf myself, but in my opinions I don't feel the need to cover myself to prove I am more modest or a better Muslim.  I believe everyone has free will and has the right in this Country to dress the way that the law has allowed them to.  No one has the right to tell someone how to dress, not even the Prime Minister himself.  Telling a woman what she can and cannot wear is oppression.  I truly believe that if Muslims want to live in Western civilization, then they should refrain from covering their faces because the face is our identity and People have the right to know who you are and what your face looks like.  You cannot vote with a covered face, you cannot cover your face in a passport photo, you cannot cover your face for your driver's licence etc... I am a Muslim woman and I say this.  It truly is a shame how the media is portraying Islam and the Muslim people as a whole, and it truly is a shame that Canadians have become so ignorant.  I see more ignorance and racism in Canada than I do in America and 9/11 took place in America.  If you want to know about Islam, learn about Islam from a Muslim, a Library, google Islam, or offer to spend a few days with a Muslim family for research to get a better understanding of Islam and Muslims.  As a Muslim myself I can understand the hatred and the ignorance because we act according to how we were taught and raised, and yes we have many extremists claiming to follow the Islamic faith.  These extremists are not only hurting Western civilization, but they are also hurting the peaceful moderate Muslims that value their rights and freedoms as Canadians.  I do not appreciate ISIS hijacking my religion, I do not appreciate Hamas or Hezballah hijacking my Religion because I am a very accepting person and a very open minded Muslim and to be defined by media as a problem or a terrorist is very hurtful and a shame.

If Islam was just another religion of another group believing in an invisible friend there probably wouldn't be a problem.  Aside from certain human rights issues, but it is also a political ideology aggressively opposed to democracy.  Therein lies the conflict.

Blacks arent the problem in canada as much as it is in the US. There was no KKK here. The people that do deserve the knowledge is the Aboriginals. The government treated them bad and so did the churches. They are what the Canadian government should be addressing and not so much the blacks as they are just as equal as a white man in Canada now. Jobs for the government 1 year have to hire more minorities then another year females and what not. I cant speak for what it is like in the US but where I live blacks are treated the same as whites. There are some arabs that think they are the gangsters and hate white peopl for ni reason. I asked them why they hates whites so much and they said its because they are pussys. That aint no damn reason. If you disagree please enlighten me with your knowledge. And if you live in the US dont comment saying you know more because i doubt you were even taught a single thing about canada in school. But if you do know something please teach me.

why can't muslim people hold back when other people comments on islam or their prophet whether it is bad or good, if you all have any common sense as a person you should know god will judge these people at the end... if i was a muslim living in a western society with freedom of speech i wouldn't give a damn about name calling cause that is not my problem and let god judge him or her when they stand in front of god.

When Farjana Hasan touts freedom for women, she unknowingly discriminates against those who chose to wear hijab willingly. Real freedom of women is to let them decide for themselves whatever they want to wear or not, period. If someone doesn't wear hijab so be it. And if someone wants to wear, so be it. Why must she impose her version of Islam on others? \nThat is the whole problem. Why can't we just accept & respect other's choices even if it differs from my choice???

If a black family were to move next door to me I would have no problem with inviting them to my home and welcoming them to the community, that is the way that it would be in any Newfoundland community. Newfoundlanders were never racist and never will be. If you don't believe that, ask the residents of the burin peninsula community's that helped ALL od the war heros on the Truxton and Pollocks when their destroyers went ashore in St. Lawrence and Lawn, Nfld.during the second world war

Also, you could add, that you know very few Germans (if any at all) and you know even less Nazis but you can still work out that that worldview and political belief system is not conducive to a peaceful tolerant society.\n\nThe fact is, Islam is a serious problem in and of itself and it needs to be dealt with. Wealth doesn't equal happiness.\n\nNote that my views formed WHILE I was in the UK - specifically after 16 as there was no sixth form locally and I had to go to the city to study. I'm sure you wouldn't like it either if Bangladesh started being overrun by people of other cultures (note that religion heavily integrates with culture, but culture is a problem too, as is race).
