This will never stop unless they come up with and immigration reform if the United States keep handing them everything on a silver platter they will never stop wanting to come to get into the United States I am A Puerto Rican and I've had to work all my life I have a messed up knee and I cant even afford to have a medical insurance meanwhile with my taxes I have to support all this immigrants and the many kids that this immigrants start popping out like Guinea pig's and meanwhile the republicans want to eliminate all kind of birth control like I need to support other people's kids meanwhile I could only afford to have one because nobody handed everything to me on a silver platter.

I didn't have any issues finding a doctor. And let me tell you more: I had a special requirement of having a Doctor who could speak Portuguese because of my wife, as she couldn't speak english at the time. I found a first doctor with absolutely no issues. In fact, after a couple of months I didn't like him very much, so we went ahead and found another one very quickly as well... Maybe I'm lucky.

Biggest difference USA has was more places to live every variety of climate you could ask for. It has way more opportunity because of the higher population. Way more jobs, way more national parks. They're extremely similar countries but I have to give it to the US is the variety of places to live. Canada may be bigger but most of it is a desolate wasteland. The only nice places to live in Canada are cities directly on the border. As far as how nice people are Canadians are just polite not always genuine. If an American is nice to you odds are they actually like you or they're someone you can't trust. But generally if a Canadian in nice to you they could hate your guts. An American seeing how Canadians act gives them a idolized view of who we are. If an American doesn't like you you'll know it and if they do like you you'll know it. This is the perspective of someone who grew up on a border town.

You can save so much time for so little money and with that time you can work for even more money or go have a great time. Let’s all live like KING! Be a Great person without doing anything! \nWe want to be good neighbors, but my room is just too comfy. I know that feeling but you don't get many chances in life to help someone, this is our chance! Also, they are doing all the work. Let us all pretend that we did something and let them in. After this we can go back to playing video games or watching our favorite shows. \n \nYes. In the beginning They will need help since they came here so poor. But don’t you lift a finger. There are Church groups and Organization and if they are lucky, they might have family member. Our government could also pitch in if they really want as they can think of them as a small investment. A seed for the bigger picture, and we think big. We have abandoned neighborhoods and empty buildings and I would rather have hard-working people take over instead of all these crack-up druggies calling themselves homeless. This will build and strengthen our neighborhoods and trickle into a stronger country. \n \n4.Can’t own Slaves anymore, but we got the next best thing. \nCheap labor. We need to have our own Giant Factories and more Labor force and Health care worker relief. Let them in but they must work hard and cheaply and take Jobs most Americans don't want as they are starting from the bottom. Until they master English, they are not a threat to any jobs that you might want, and most don't even bother to learn which is good for us. \n \nHealthcare workers are working too hard. Let’s use migrants and help them out, immigrants can do all the labor-intensive and poop work so our healthcare workers can focus more on the health of the patients. This will reduce hospital bills since labor is a major cost to any business. We will also all receive better care at the hospital. \n \nUS companies and foreign companies are building factories in India or in Mexico when the same workers are at our doors. Let's build them here in the USA and we English speakers will have to manage them unfortunately since that’s the language of the Country. If you speak Spanish and English, you are going to have many jobs. \nEverything important should be made in America with all these workers. We can all have our own factories and business and exploit cheap labor flocking to our Great Country. We must use this to our advantage while it lasts. \nCheap labor we can Build houses that are affordable. Fix all the infrastructure we have been crying about. \n \n5. If War we're ready! \nIf we ever have another World War first one to go are minorities and poor people so, not only does it provide us with a bigger army, but you might not be first to get drafted. Not only that but because we have immigrants we would have stronger ties to those immigrant countries which can come in handy later. You never know which country will become the next global leader and we can always use military support. \n \nIf there are other legal exploitation, we can benefit from having immigrants into our Great nation please share! I have so much to say. I'm afraid of sounding racist. I dont like it. Dealing with this right now! There has been an influx in my town. Now there isnt housing left when we were fine before. My children are being slighted when they could be celebrating their 1st apartment. My interaction has been poor with a few of these people. Impossible to communicate. Very awkward having an 8 yo translate. Many want to move into nice neighborhoods but never follow the city code enforcement or rules. Then hide behind don't speak English! Same rug swinging on the side rail since January. Alot of weird shit with them. They need to fight back to get their country back. Sorry. I'm over it. They don't foster relationships with Americans anyway.

Are they asylum seekers or trying to avoid the immigration process,there is a difference. We do not have enough housing for Canadians to live in,shortage of doctors,nurses and ER's in hospitals close down frequently. My dad had to immigrate to Canada first,have a sponsor and a job before my mom and myself and brother could immigrate. In total it took 2 years for him to have enough money to bring us to Canada. So for me this just looks like jumping the que.

This is terrible. Why can’t our government simply hire more people to process migrant applications? And why can’t the US do a better job of pushing back on dictators that ruin their own countries, like Venezuela? Or provide processing stations in other states and encourage migrants to travel their, or provide transport? I doubt that most people want to leave their own country if it was safe for them and their children. Surely better minds than Mine could find humane solutions. Maybe fast tracks no migrants with established relatives already in the US? Or migrants with skills (not necessarily money) but skills?

If they want to do it like this then don't give them government assistance food stamps or housing. And don't feel sorry for them. Because guess what that could be your front door what would you do?

My childhood friend moved from California to outside of Vancouver right before entry into high school. He has a very high iQ. He was also well stable at home and was placed the highest you could be at the time in language and maths. \nIn high school in Canada, this AP American student, had to go to middle school for math. The Canadian school system didn’t offer algebra 2 above middle school. \n30 years. Do Both countries walk hand in hand thro troubles?! I kinda lived in a fantasy world of my own for some time(No drugs or anything). I have currently formed a great passion for making music. So why are these students spending so much money on an education which guarantees no future, I accept India is lacking in job creation but I can guarantee the amount of money you are paying just to complete your college years is more than what you could invest on private colleges in India and create your small scale buisness, like it's bullshit to live a miserable life in Canada, away from your family and not trying to put efforts in your own nation... The main disadvantage of leaving Canada is having to pay for your own health care in other countries. If you don't have insurance in another country, you will have to pay in advance before they treat you. It could bankrupt you, especially if you go to developed countries like the USA. If you study in a foreign country, you pay extra as a foreigner for tuition, sometimes double what a citizen will pay. Remember, it's not always green on the other side. If you just want fun, schedule your life to spend time for a great break that ticks the boxes for you.

I am an American. I am looking to relocate to Canada because of the bad experiences I have had as a California Licensed Structural Engineer with 25+ years of experience. This US license is really difficult to obtain because the exam has a 25% pass rate. In California, it is much tougher because of the earthquakes the state experiences.\n\nInstead of being treated with respect for having this Structural Engineer License, I have been treated badly by structural engineering firms in the US. In the US, you can be fired for no reason at all. They use Performance Improvement Plans to lay me off because I am much smarter than the people I work with. Licensed Structural Engineers do not have job security - so expect to work only a few months.\n\nIn the US, you will have a job for 4 months because your boss has decided to hire someone cheaper and give himself a raise. This happened to me at the City and County of Denver.\n\nLicensed Structural Engineers do not have job security at all because employers do not care about their employees. With workplaces like that, the US is not the place to be. American is not the greatest nation when you have morons like Harry Dunn and Lloyd Christmas from the movie Dumb and Dumber running things! Americans are downright stupid! That is why I am considering relocating to Canada.\n\nI started taking structural engineering courses at the University of British Columbia so I could better myself and get some Canadian experience. In the US, this cannot happen because Americans do not believe in bettering your professional career opportunities. In American companies, you can get fired for getting more education. It is really interesting doing these courses because I am learned alot of different engineering skills that they do not teach in the US. Plus I will be getting an award from Canada.

I would say another reason is the political instability, the near dictator fashion tools the pm uses to fight any kind of opposition. Like blocking opposing peoples bank accounts, forcing fund raising companies not to pay out, controlling the media to lie about the opposition. I think you're highlighting a huge problem. Canada loses so many people. For a while, I lived in Texas, and the difference in after tax income coupled with the lower cost of living was huge. In Canada, at the time, I could save money for my RRSPs but buying a house was out of the question...it's even worse now. In Texas, on the same income, I could live like a king. \n\nI went to a university that was really strong in computer science and engineering. The number of grads that left and never looked back is depressing.

The figures don't tell all of the story when it comes to physician salary comparisons and tax-to-GDP ratios, for instance. Truly, doctors in the US can earn a lot more, but they also have to spend a lot of that on legal indemnity insurance because the US is the home of spurious litigation. The availability of doctors in Canada being damaged by the attraction of the USA is just part of a global phenomenon - professionally-qualified people will go wherever the money is best, so less-developed nations lose medical staff to richer nations. The UK effectively steals a lot of medical staff from the Philippines and sub-Saharan Africa, for instance.\n\nI notice that the UK is listed just above Canada on the tax-to-GDP table, but government spending is waaaaaaay higher than that (more like 45% and heading for 50%) and honestly to my knowledge the UK has had tax-to-GDP figures above 40% for many years (even at its lowest during the past 50 years it's probably never dipped below 35%). I don't know where the figures in that table came from, but I bet that there are some shenanigans behind them. For instance, the UK personal taxation load is heavily weighted by taxes on goods, but big companies often pay very little tax themselves. Ireland is an even more extreme example of that phenomenon - I note their relatively-low placing on the tax-to-GDP table. Multinationals see Ireland as a tax haven these days.\nLet me be clear - I'm absolutely not a a fan of socialism and fully advocate for lower taxes and smaller Government. It's notable that countries with bigger Government (more socialism) tend to take more in taxes. The USA needs to be considered state by state as well due to the differing levels of socialism. High-taxing states contribute less per-capita to federal revenues, but also note that federal support programs tend to concentrate upon those same states. The loudest voices behind the begging bowl tend to be the most socialistic. It's all a big mess - the lack of transparency does not help the case for high-taxing Governments.\n\n\nLastly, considering the current governing dynasty in Canada, I could never live there. Trudeau is a nightmare totalitarian. The events of 2020+ showed some national leaders in a revealing light. Canada and New Zealand are now two countries I could never consider living in. A broken Country, bank system is a joke, health care is the most broken system of any G 20 countries, education system is totally woke and ineffective, spoiled and about 2.5 years behind any comparable system. Well...maybe try to live in other countries for a while, u two might be hundreds times appreciated what you have in Canada, ladies. Yes Canada needs to have a very generous immigration policy because they have a higher attrition rate as the immigrants as you point out go back to their home country after a relatively short time for this reason they need to have a high flow because they will have a high attrition rate\n\nIn my own families experience on my mother side her mother‘s family moved from Montreal to New York City and it’s one of the few things I found out as to the motivation for the move but this was in the early 1920s was they were encouraged to leave and go to the United States because there wasn’t that much opportunity\n\nSpecifically starting about 1915 and going to the 1920s even the 1930s there was an economic depression For which the Canadian Connor we could not support the population and this seems to be in a reoccurring theme in Canada\n\nIf the Canadian government Is encouraging highly paid and experience professionals like doctors nurses engineers IT professionals and financial Professionals to come in yet they can’t find even Lola work in their field and have to work in menial jobs their skills my dad for fee as well as their patients give out after about maybe four or five years\n\nThen they look to other countries maybe to the country just south of the 49th parallel where are their jobs waiting where they can actually employer skills and keep their skills current

In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become the North Korea of the western world.

I've been to Canada a couple of times to Hamilton (outside of Toronto) because my mom's childhood friend from Manchester, UK lives there and I went to the states for a few weeks to Florida, DC and NYC on a massive trip.\n\nWhat struck me is how fit Canadian women are compared to US women. Also, how genuinely friendly and humble Canadians were compared to the brash know it all attitude of Americans. I was really looking forward to America cause I was raised on its culture here in the UK. I know I've not given it a proper chance but I'm not that tempted to go back.\nI travelled a lot with my family growing up but only in the US have we ever felt like we could be in danger. Not great.\nAnd that racial segregation is pants. It's disgusting, really.

I agree, I was born and raised here, unless you speak the language, have a good education, its puts you behind the 8 ball if you want to stay here. Why? Because the cost of living is too high, Why? Because our gov. let foreign powers come into out country and flip our real estate to make fast profits and that drives up the rents and costs of housing to the point that you cannot afford to live here, period. The only way that you can do it is to team up with other families and all live in the same place and slowly build up your education, job skills and income to a point where you can afford to live and get a place of your own, thats the way they did it in my parents time and it seemed to work, but when you have a gov. that all they can think about is their climate control BS and to raise the carbon taxes, interest rates causing inflation, causing prices to go up on everything it becomes a losing battle. So unless you are prepared to work two or three jobs, don't even think about it, because now its next to impossible to do unless you have someone supporting you on your climb to the top. In Canada we need health care workers and that could be nurses, doctors, health care aids, psw's, dsw's and physiotherapists, in some provinces they give free courses to get these jobs and you end up getting good wages like min. 25.00 per hour to start and all the hours you can handle, that means if you work 60 hours a week, you make 1500 a week, now that you can survive on, I know this for a fact because a friend of mine just went through the course and now she is set for life, that was a PSW course, its all up to you, if you want it bad enough, you can have it all. Welcome to Canada.

I get all the points you guys are making, but I think most people when they visit the states go to the worst representations of us. Yeah LA and NY are cool big cities you see in movies and shit but they’ve been cesspools for a long time. I think people would find places they like by visiting the states and cities people don’t really talk about. That said Canada is probably the only other country I’d live in, I enjoy driving and the lifestyle I have, I don’t think I could have it anywhere else honestly.

I love how people complain about crime in big metropolitan cities in the US, never once consider moving to the many thousands of small towns and rural areas in the US, but will instead move to a country with a much smaller population and then gloat about how crime ridden the US is. It's like, dude, why didn't you try moving to a small town first? Um, could it because you'd be living next to people who don't live and vote like you? Maybe the way you live and vote is how those big metro cities got the way they are.

I think you ladies are way out in left field and you really don't know what you're talkin about. Unfortunately for some people it doesn't work out for whatever reason usually because they do not want to assimilate very well. I grew up in Ontario to a french-canadian father and an Italian mother in my life in Canada was so perfect said if I had to dream up a better life I could not have done so. I grew up playing all the sports and enjoyed all the different sports and the changes of seasons. My parents had a summer home on the st-lawrence river and every summer we water-ski swam fished, play golf in the morning and barbecues every night right on the water. Even though my grandfather was in the hotel business I was all about sports and enjoying everything about it. I grew up in a town of about 50 thousand about 40 miles from Montreal. When I wanted some great nightlife just drove a short drive to Montreal and it had everything did anyone could want in Nightlife. I have lived in United States for forty years and I can tell you that it really isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Heaven forbid should you get some kind of catastrophic illness you are screwed. I knew a woman who work for travelers insurance for 30 years at the best insurance a money could buy had suffered a couple of strokes and was on the verge of going broke had she not died when she died. People think that insurance continues to pay his long as you're ill and nothing could be further from the truth. This lady was going to have to sell her house to continue paying for round-the-clock care had she not died when she did. United States middle class is getting wiped out. I've seen enough poverty and hardship in this country to last a lifetime. I find greed to be running rampant in this country. When I grew up in Canada there was always the grass is greener on the other side and when I did move over to the other side the US that is I can tell you unequivocally the dead grass is not greener on the other side. There are more millions and millions of people here that are one or two paychecks away from being homeless. And we're talkin 2023. Now let's talk about violence. There is a mass murder in the United States every single day of the year. And a mass murder is defined by four or more people being killed by one person at one time. Killing these so out of control in the United States that now even six-year-olds are shooting their teacher. I find a tremendous amount of built-up Anger from people. Food is very expensive and shelter is also out of control and non affordable to most people. Again I find United States being able to paint a much Rosier picture then does really exist. And there are more con artists and thieves , Crooks, con-artists, bamboozlers, cheats and scammers then anywhere that I've ever been. And I will say this is it it ain't getting any better and I don't see it ever getting better. I find it is everybody out for themselves no matter who they cheat. I live in Southern California and I can tell you that night life where I live is non-existent. Understand that LA and Hollywood they always have to glamorize everything to sell it to tourists. Just remember that things today are not what they were 40 years ago. Middle-class people in Canada would also be just middle-class people in the US. Canada is the second largest country in the world by land area and next to Saudi Arabia has the third largest oil Reserves in the world. Canada has huge amount of freshwater which most of the rest of the world seems to be lacking and having spent my Summers on the Saint Lawrence River one of the Great Rivers in this world. I wouldn't change my twenty years in Canada for anyplace else in this world and I will be moving back shortly.

To each his own because i have had horrible experiences in Canada. During covid lock down , i went to visit my sister and missed my flight twice because of difficulties with getting a covid test. There was a whole long line just to get a damn test. Here in America there's a CVS everywhere. \nI also did not like the food there too much. After buying food from a local restaurant i knew my home cooked food would have turned out better. \n My sister gave birth and bought a sofa around the time she just put to birth. The guy doing the delivery left the couch at the door after i begged him to help us as my sister just had a c-section and could not lift heavy stuff-he refused and i was just shocked. In America people would gladly help if you needed help.\nLast month i sent my sister a Christmas gift through UPS and when it arrived Canada, they returned it to me after i paid to clear it at customs.\nI would never want to go to Canada again.

I live in Japan right now and I could totally relate to your sentiment when you brought up locking the doors. I've forgotten to lock my door countless times here in Japan, but I never feel worried because crime is just so low here. I never forgot to lock my doors back in the states and that was probably due to my sense of paranoia of what could happen if I forgot. I feel more at peace here than I do back in America. Also Japan has so much healthy (AND DELICIOUS) food everywhere you go. Fast food chains aren't all over the place here in Japan besides in Tokyo (and maybe some other big cities), but that isn't most of Japan, so living here has forced me to eat healthier and I am so grateful because I feel a lot better. I feel like moving back to America one day will be very hard when it comes to this.\n\nAlso I am surprised you all didn't mention the differences between health care! I know when it comes to Japan and America these two countries are night and day different.

You didn't bring up the paper money American money gets wet and is ruined. Other countries money is all in plastic. The funny thing is people in Melbourne are like Americans They live and breathe in their own suburbs and don't know how to get anywhere else. The CBD could be an hour away and they would have never been anywhere else but their suburb in their whole life.

I think part of the reason America is regionally segregated is because of the history of segregation. It's definitely not as bad but I'd be stupid to say that if this was a white neighborhood for 100 years that it would dramatically change over the next few generations even though there's now permission to be there. I think in time America will become more mixed like they were describing Canada. I could also see Canada as being an exception to the rule, the European and middle eastern countries I've been to seem to have their segregated neighborhoods in a similar way to America.

Canada big ups. Definitely, when I have been to the states, the racial segregation was one of the biggest surprises. Being from Toronto, you'll legit have every culture within 1 floor of 1 apartment building. Then go to like Jersey, and not see a single black person in an entire neighborhood. I REALLY like the diversity of Canada, at least in the big cities. Happy to be raising our daughter here, we actually went out of our way to ensure the daycare we put her in was pretty diverse. \nNow, in our small towns, shit gets a little.... Bro I'm from Miami, my first time going to NYC was 2 years ago. It was night and day. I was going to kats deli with my girl and we asked where to go, and this lady said it was down the street. To us, down the street means like a 3-5 minute walk. We was walking for a solid 20 minutes. I could walk it but it opened my eyes. I've also been to peru and had a very pleasant experience.

I'm from NY, my buddies and I took a party bus to Montreal 2 years in a row for 2 bachelor parties. All we could talk about was how beautiful the women were. My God, not saying they're better but my god they're gorgeously unique. You'll have a woman that's West-Indian, French, Black, and Native and she legit looks like no one you've ever seen before. I was in an incredible amount of excruciating pain because my appendix ruptured. It was the worst pain of my life. I waited screaming in the waiting room at Toronto's General Hospital, the nurses and security treated me terribly.
