They had me set up to do chemotherapy treatment within 2 weeks. They wanted me to start that weekend, but I needed the time to put my work in order for me to be gone for an extended period, get applications set up for EI/Healthcare claims, and figure out who in my family I wanted to share the information with. \n\nIn Canada you end up waiting for elective surgeries and treatments, because they aren't critical by virtue of being elective. That's about it. If you need an elective and have 10K in your pocket not doing anything, go ahead and go to the states.

If you have insurance in the US are you 100% covered for doctor visits, surgeries, hospital stays and medical tests? In Canada we are covered for all these things and there’s no bill after we receive these services. A family of 4 pays about $17000 a year in taxes to cover these things. This would be about $12000 USD. A family of 4 in the US pays about $24000 per year in insurance and still have to pay for services. I think we have the better deal.

Having said, that, I use the healthcare system as little as possible while others are breaking its back with minor colds, especially since Covid. I was shocked to find out the federal government was paying indians to move out of Ontario and BC into Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba because the coastal cities infrastructure was about to implode in certain areas. So they they told these people to move inland, and if they do and stay there for 18-24 months, they get $3300 dollars a month every month for that duration. My disability cheque, that I paid into for 40 years of hard work, comes out to 950 dollars a month. This is absurd. These people get literally everything handed to them, and STILL abuse the programs meant for those who are struggling. I have never in my life met such an arrogant and utterly dishonest and disgusting group of peoples in my life. This isn’t just one or two bad apples, this is happening in every city around here. They also get first dibs on any and all medical treatment and specialists. Many local residents who have already been on waiting lists for years to get treatment are getting bumped in order to accommodate the new invaders. It’s basically impossible to find a doctors or dentists office accepting new patients. ER rooms are full constantly of these people coming just for runny noses and coughs, clogging up the already strained healthcare system. The prairies hospitals (at least where I live) were barely holding together before this nonsense. Yet somehow, this is all just white people being racist huh? \nWell I’ll tell you what, I’m not white, my people were on this land long before anyone else can claim to be, and while I’ll admit there’s often still a lot of animosity between natives and whites, youd be quite surprised to see how many of us are in agreement towards the current behaviour of these people.

I was in the Missouri when i got sick. I drove home and was diagnosed with a brainstem tumour. 10 hr surgery, 4 surgerical teams, icu, wks hospitalization. Months of rehab and homecare. The school even arranged a cab to take my 5 yr old to school. I have seen bills for pts who didn't make it home and had to have surgery in the US before being repatriated back to the icu i worked. It was an eye opener to see what they were charged for a box of kleenex, a catheter, an iv bag etc. I would have lost everything if i had to have surgery in the US. \nMy sister is currently in hosp in the US, and she is getting good care. I drove down last time she was in, and i was impressed by the lovely large CCU bay, but, hey patients are paying for it. She had a fancy postop CABG pillow to splint her chest when she had to coughed. It had a cute surgical heart on it. I am sure it cost $$. In Canada, we give our pts a regular pillow, some iv morphine and tlc when it hurts when they cough, no fancy cartoon pillow, but no bill either lol. She's a senior on medicaid so she's not going into massive debt or dying in her home to avoid going to the hospital.\n \nI have been travelling to the states since 1976 as a young child. It doesn't just happen in Canada, US, UK, Aus but also welcoming countries like Thailand, UAE.\n2) Indian Visa (to visit India) itself is one of the most expensive and complicated to get for foreigners, so other countries have no incentive to make it easier for Indian citizens.\n3) Developed countries know that if they make it 'easier' for Indians to travel to their country, they will end up with tens of thousands who wont want to go back to India. It is already the case when its difficult to get a visa, imagine the situation if its made easier.\n4) Most of the Indian tourists fall under the mass category, they are not like the heavy spending Chinese tourists. We are not the most well behaved, so till we start getting more affluent, we wont be in as much demand.

I don’t know about rest of the world but in the US alone, 700,000 Indians entered the country either illegally or overstayed their US visa just last year alone. In Canada, some Indian international students were discovered to have forged their education documents and now have been deported. Temporary workers are demanding permanent residency after work visa extensions have been cancelled due to housing shortages & increasing unemployment rate. \n\nIndian people in general are good workers but these protest aren’t helping and demanding they be allowed to stay while their documents are forged is upsetting Canadians. as an NRI who lived in US, UK, and Canada, I can tell you that the so called developed nations are over hyped. Yes, there are so many things that are better in these countries compared to india, but all these countries lack one thing. Respect towards fellow human beings. I lived in several states in India, we have problems, but nothing compared to these countries. Indians don't belong outside of india. Don't go to any country out side of iindia...you are not welcome. It is not about being under UN sanctions or under military rule. Many Indian visa applications (especially for student visas) are supported by fake documents. Many try to emigrate by hook or by crook especially to the US or Canada via other countries. And the less said about the behaviour of Indian tourists abroad the better. Let me cite a few below.\n\n1) In one of the Western countries, a few years ago, a real Punjabi brother and sister who staged fake a marriage, got a marriage certificate, and other documents only to migrate there. The government eventually found put and deported them.\n\n2) Canada deported a few hundred Gujarati students when the US border security found them not speaking in English. On investigation, it was found that they all came with fake IELTS certificate.\n\nThere are many incidents we get to witness the day after the day. So, we can't blame other countries. It's us who made us very cheap in the international market. Because of those Indians, the entire innocent, honest, and talented Indians community is affected.

Why are indian visas being rejected? Well, could it be that various countries learned from canada, the US, and other developed nations about how indians abused the H1B as well as other visa programs by lying and cheating their ways into those countries. Instead, some are busy with doing illegal jobs, while others have allegedly slipped across the border into the US illegally. But sure instead of earning the respect, let's kee p demanding for it...

I live in Canada. A citizen now, love this country but India is and will always be a home. Canada is facing hard times currently, which is being faced by every country now and then but even the cause root of all these problems Canada is facing right now is coming from somehow from India. The most disruptive and disturbing people are here from India only with no civic sense. They come here and do not value the Canadian culture at all. They offered IMMIGRATION to get working young families who already had education, skills and professions without investing a penny or offering help. Those Immigrants have to pay couple of thousand dollars to apply for immigration and have to prove that they have enough money until they find jobs.. They can’t claim welfare for few years either. By choice many Europeans don’t want to come to Canada. If not for those immigrants who work the aging population couldn’t have got pension.\n\nMUST ABSORB WHITE CANADIAN CULTURE ?
