People in Canada just have to do what they have to do. But there are ways to carry on without 100% of the US business and hospitality. We never had to look far for things as American companies had offered to deal with Canada of course to their profit as well. So now we have to look around for new customers, start new ventures. It doesn't have to be this way. Things were great for both of us the way it was. And it can be that way again once Trump is gone. This will be temporary. Trump is not forever. We both have realized now what both countries had and we can carry on when the time comes.

The sane Americans stand with Canada. Proud of our Canadian friends who are standing up to the bully who occupies the people's house. Canada, the new leader of the free world!

Trump wants to do anything he can to weaken the USA as much as he can for the love he has for Putin, so he will lie about everything in order to do this. He lies about canada to justify what he is doing that we all know is hurting we american people . He doesnt care. Nothing canada or mexico does will make a differnce because of the overwll goal he has.

CANADA: HOW BOUT 50 PERCENT?? OR MORE??

This is absolutely the worst the USA Canada relationship has been. I lived in the US during Bush2.0 and have many American friends. This isn't personal (unless you continue to support Trump).

I am SO sorry Canada, but proud of you for standing up to these tyrants. I am a UK citizen residing in the USA, and, was impacted by the USAID terminations, which saddens me to witness such a powerful apparatus for global stability in health and security to be destroyed. Decades of alliance through NATO, this is just sickening to witness in this day and age. Who would have thought! Shame on this spineless administration, that will go down in history as the worst ever. Traitors they are ALL of them.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune reacted to the imposition of tariffs on Canada, Mexico and China by saying “nothing happens in a vacuum” and he expects there will be “reactions” to President Donald Trump’s move. \n \nMeanwhile, Senate Majority Whip John Barrasso refused to answer on whether he thought the tariffs would hurt American consumers. He said people should not be surprised by Trump’s decisions because he ran on them.

The housing bubble was fueled by near zero interest rate polich implemented my Mark Carney during his tenure as the head of the Bank of Canada. Yes. That Mark Carney, the same one that is about to come Prime Minister.

Sounds like Canada's housing market is the same as in OZ, a ponzie scheme.

Canada is a virtue signalling dumpster fire now. We went woke and lost it all.

Long live the great state of Canada! Go Canucks!

The *enormous* problem with this video is the idea that _living_ in Canada is the same as the US! If you want to sell your soul and live in a country with rampant crime, gun-obsessed citizens and essentially zero social safety net, go nuts! Canada has a lifestyle which is far more aligned with Nordic countries than it is with the US; polite discourse, care for the needy and elderly, and a far greater desire for work/life balance. Higher GDP per capita is _irrelevant_ *if you have a basically dysfunctional civil society to go with it* .

Canada is a direct neighbor with Denmark also we have a land border less than a KM long

Canada is an woke, activist, economic wasteland.

Blame Canada!

You can’t compare Europe, Canada or any other countries with USA. Because USD is global reserve currency, USA has highest productivity and hence got biggest gdp per capita compared to any other major economy.

Am I going insane or was Canada getting the exact opposite videos made about it a mere few years ago? I see the same happening with Australia now on YouTube

High real estate prices have fueled hidden corruption by all levels of government. Until you try to build something you just can't imagine the fees and cost of regulation compliance. Since values keep rising there are more hands out demanding more by all levels of government. Another (sort of) related issue that has been ignored until recently has been Trudeau's reparations to First Nations. He has manipulated the courts and civil service to acquiesce to whatever is demanded. The province of BC just ceded sovereignty to an Island chain (Haida Gwaii) to an indigenous group that is against virtually any economic development. Northern Canada, as vast as is, is essentially blocked from new resource development. Every investment, including housing development, needs approval from, usually in the form of a payment to, an Indian Band. The level of corruption here is at South America levels.\n\nI think the unsaid part about excessive immigration levels the last few years was that was used to mask what the government was doing.

Yup, Trudeau and the rest of the Liberals have really done a number on Canada.

Canada will be taken by force. Whatever sacrifice we have to make will be paid back several times by the nation’s wealth of natural resources. Empires are back in style, and the whole third world is on the table, Canada included.

Annex Canada, they are useless eaters.

I'm tired of Canada being compared to the US and no one else. Yes, the US is more productive, richer and powerful than Canada, everyone knows that. But they're also all those 3 things to every other economy in the world! Don't stop comparing Canada to the US, but for god's sake, could you throw in some European and Asian countries too?

There is no way you can cover the economic situation of Canada in 14 minutes. \n\nThe housing crisis is actually caused by a 1982 change in a public policy about financing housing and specifically to move away from public housing to have a strictly financing the mortgages \n\nThis means that when we had the 2008 housing collapse banks for completely bailed out with no public input compared to the United States

I’m writing a novel series where there’s a different president in office in 2009-2013, and during this time the crisis in Canada leads to them joining with the UK and other Anglo nations to create a new British empire under the rule of King Charles, and the American president is then forced into a conflict with this new geopolitical foe, and it’s all for personal reasons.

I live in Canada and even being most likely a victim of the US sanctions together with my family and millions other Canadians and permanent residents, I can't be pissed with the American government, We also have been suffering with a weak, corrupt incompetent leader, that we hope can be put back to his insignificance sooner.
