This is the look of freedom. This is the vast majority of migrants’ character. We can separate law breakers from the masses, without accusing the masses of criminality.

I’ve read many comments urging Canada to reduce its exposure to the us. It’s reasonable but that doesn’t happen overnight. Refineries, for example, are custom built - they can’t process all crudes. They’d cost several billion to build and at least 3-5 years; plus, you need railways and port infrastructure to ship out oil or its byproducts. This should have been started in 2017 (trump’s 1st term). In the short term, free trade zones within Canada and Mexico may alleviate some of the tariffs.

The reality of the situation is that while Canada’s retaliatory tariffs will hurt the US a little, Trump’s tariffs hurt Canada a lot! Right now we’re in a moment where Canadian politicians of all stripes need to placate the public’s demand for retaliation, however no matter who the next PM is, they will quickly and quietly be working to undo whatever factors led to this situation. That will mean acquiescing to Trump’s border demands among other concessions. One would be forgiven for thinking Trudeau should have just gone along with them in the first place and spared Canada the pain.

The only thing that will get Trump to pull in his horns is for countries to respond with counter-tariffs that will HURT Americans big time. Trump said they don't need our energy. Let's shut down hydro electricity sales to the US and allow millions of residences and industry go dark in winter and wait for Trumps call to negotiate. I am an Indian in America and Indians need to develop India ??, 1) Ending the Caste System 2) Industrializing the country such as Manufacturing, Logistics and energy India has a lot of Natural Resources such as coal and Iron 3)Establish trading Partners with US, Germany and UK, Brazil. They are very strong and smart countries with a lot of great companies that could be advantageous. 4) India needs to be more capitalistic to avoid a brain drain. 5) Indians need to eat more meat and work out more, you look at the Brazilians and Nigerians they are great MMA fighters. The post-war world order is now over. It's time for Canada to drop out of NATO and NORAD (what is the point of a defensive strategic alliance with the only country in the world that is openly threatening you with annexation?) and expel all American military and government personnel in the country. Canada, Mexico, Europe, Australia, Japan, South Korea etc need to form a new strategic and economic bloc oriented toward the goal of breaking America, just as we did with the Soviets when they were the largest threat to global peace and prosperity. Decrease taxes on everything, make startup business easy to survive & sustain. Enact bills into laws to control all Corporations from overpricing their goods to consumers. Lower all consumer goods. Give tax breaks to all business. Taxes should come from other Countries & zero from the American peoples pockets, end to taxing the American people. ✊️

it worked the first time he instituted these tariffs in 2016, I suspect it will work again, because Canada and Mexico have no real leverage. they can say they will fight back with their own tariffs but its a losing game for them because, they are a luxury for us. we dont need them. they need us far more than we need them. and thats why despite grumbling they caved in last time. they will do the same, you just have to let them get it out of their system like a toddler and try and save face for a bit.

I’m a proud citizen of the USA and a Republican no less. To the people of Mexico and Canada, please kick us to the curb. Our leadership has lost its way and is in desperate need for realignment. For the sake of all in North America, take care of this now, because apparently my fellow citizens cannot.

All of these countries need us far more than than we need them. They will cave very rapidly. Trump can also tax remittances which would pull 60 billion from the Mexican economy.

All this because the US cannot get it's fellow citizens and most vulnerable people the help they need with their addictions.
